Last Evaluated Price not updating

Hi,
I have a very wierd issue which I have never seen before as explained below. The system is 8.82 PL 6.
Problem: The Last Evaluated price (LEP) is not updating on Item Master Data (IMD) under certain conditions.
Explanations:
1. All items have a valuation method of FIFO
2. For a particular item let us call it 101381, if I open the IMD, select LEP, the price shows up as 516.80
3. There are definitely Goods Receipts for this item with a lower price than 516.80
4. I run the 'Inventory Valuation Simulation Report' with blank From-Item and To-Item, i.e. for all items, calc. method as moving average, Posting date blank and WHs checked off
5. There are thousands of items in our IMD but obviously, the report that comes up just shows the first item on our IMD 100000, and if we want to see 101381, we need to click the green right arrow 1381 times. So instead of scrolling over, I simply click OK to close this report, assuming that the LEP for 101381 has been updated
6. I once again open the IMD for 101381 and choose LEP. Strangely, the LEP price still shows as 516.80!
7. Then I run the report for a block of Items say from 101380 to 101390, keeping all other criteria the same as before
8. This time, I click the green arrow 10 times to scroll from 101380 to 101390 and then clck OK to close the report.
9. Now if I open the Item 101381 and check the LEP, it has been updated to 510.78!!!
10. The same thing happens, i.e. the LEP gets updated if I simply select just 1 item i.e. FROM 101381 TO 101381.
Why does the LEP not get updated automatically when all Items are taken at once? There is no way the users are going to click the green right arrow 20000 times just to refresh the LEP on all 20000 items. I am not sure if this is a bug in this PL?
I have tested this extensively and any positive suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

In SAP, there are about 10,000 items . Last evaluated price is not assigned for many items. So it is very tedious task of assigning the price. For each item Inventory Audit Report is executed. Is there any way of assigning the last evaluated price in bulk ? I want to update the entire inventory in single instance.

Hi,
Last Evaluated Price is volatile and unreliable. It is updated whenever you run the Inventory Valuation Simulation Report (Inventory > Inventory Reports > Inventory Valuation Simulation Report).
This report should only be run to see what the value of your stock would be if you were to use another valuation method than has been set in your settings (Administration > System Initialization > Company Details > Basic Initialization > Item Groups Valuation Method).
So you really should not need to update the Last Evaluated Price, because you should not be using this price for any business purposes like for example calculating your sales margins.
If you want to do so anyway, use the Inventory Valuation Simulation Report.

i just wanna know what is the difference in between Last Purchase Price and Last evaluated price. our company uses FIFO.
what is the effect in goods issue if i will use last Purchase Price or Last evaluated price.

Hi Avelino,
The last Purchase Price is the last price paid for an Item, meaning that this price is updated when an AP Invoice is posted as this is considered the purchase price. The price is not updated by Goods Receipt or Prchase Order as an example.
The Last Evaluated Price or Last Calculated is updated when either running the Stock Audit Report or the Stock Valuation Report.
Please note that if the company has been defined with 'Manage Item Cost per Warehouse' in the Company
Details and the Stock Audit Report is used to update the last evaluated price, then the price will be as calculated in the default warehouse of the Item.
For the Goods Issue, the price as given on the rows is only informative, the price that will be credited from the stock account in the Journal Entry is the calculated cost price according to the valuation method that has been defined for the item (FIFO, Moving Average, Standard).
With the Form Settings you can chose to display the 'Item Cost' field in the Goods Issue, this will however only be populated after the Goods Issue has been added. The reason for this is that the price could have changed between the moment when the Goods Issue form was opened and the time that it is added.

Hi Sibasish,
The "Last Evaluated Price" is simply a price list but can't have a direct manipulation like other price lists. Its values may not involve in any accounting transactions if it's not selected for the concerned transaction any way.
On the other hand the item cost is the cost which is maintained by SAP B1 (until and unless you select the Standard Valuation Method), and it gets involved in the accounting transactions where inventory is involved. For e.g. the "COGS" is calculated on the basis of this value.

Last Evaluation Price with FIFO

Hi all
I am using FIFO Valuation method on 2007 SP01 PL05. I have made two purchases of an item code with the prices below:
01/05/10, 10 units, 8 u20AC
03/05/10, 10 units, 8.2 u20AC.
After that I sell 10 units to a customer of mine. When I run the Product Evaluation Report I would expect the item to have as Last Evaluation Price 8,2 u20AC. This is because I have sold the first 10 units (bought for 8 Euros) so the remaining have all being bought for 8,2 Euros.
However, running the report the Last Evaluation Price is shown as 8 Euros.
Is this the right operation for FIFO on SAP Business One?

Hi there,
The Last Evaluated/Calculated Price is only updated when you run the Inventory Valuation Report. This value is actually meaningless, unless used to calculate Price List values.

I have executed the Inventory Valuation report and it always prompt that 'No goods receipts or issues were found for items' but the report show some items will quantity.
I have check the inventory posting list for the items, it has Inventory Goods Receipt and then DO to customers, it has goods receipt before but why the system prompt such message? And the Valuation report showed zero cost for all the items in the report.

"last seen info, not updating"

Hello,
I was wondering if someone would know why is the "last seen" info not updating for a contact that I see "online" at the same time that I am "online", however, when she disconnects, her "last seen" info is not accurate and it shows the "last seen" info of a day earlier, almost as if she hadn't been online when I saw her last.
P.S. I am using pc os win 7 and she is on a mobile.

Last PO Price not picking up

Hi experts,
In one of my clients, the Price from the Last P.O for all combination of Vendor/Material/Plant is not picking up. This has happened 15 days ago. I couldnt find any changes.
I checked the InfoRecord, the info update tick in PO, the User profile for EVO, the Last PO price automatically Copy tick settings. But all are showing fine. Here PBXX is only used.
Hope to get an answer soon, as I have been searchinh for the last 4 days and am unable to get the answer for this.

Hi,
You are facing this problem due to the Pricing date control field In the vendor master record or the Pricing date category field In the purchasing info record.
Check out the same & make settings accordingly. Remember after you save the new settings you will have to create a new PO to check whether the problem is solved.

How the last net price gets updated in PO?

Hi All,
Wanted to know how the last price gets updated in the PO? So whenever one creates a PO after that for the same material, the system by itself suggest the previous PO price which was created for this material.
But its not happening this time? Can anyone tell me the reason for that?

Dear Swathi ji,
Price will updated in PO two ways.
one way in through Info record and other way in contract
if you want update your price after creation PO do it one simple way see item details tab ->material data in that info update tab available.if you check this your po price automatically updated.
but one main reson is allways po price will pick first in contract then info record

ME31K Net Price not Update

Dear All,
In a service contract ME31K net price(ESLL- NETWR) of service not updated.its shown zero value in gray field on every time.
We are using standard procedure for service contract :MS0000".and also i have check PRS condition but it doesn't work.
I have also read many thought relelated to same issue but not getting proper answer.
Please help on priority basis.

Dear Dishant,
Just a clarification, are you sure that you are talking about ESLL- NETWR, since usually we maintain price for service contracts in ESLL-TBTWR (Service level), so that automatically it calculates the net value for the respective service and updates in ESLL- NETWR.
Note: Once you maintain the value in ESLL-TBTWR, the program would some up all the service value for the item and displays in EKPO-NETPR.

Last Purchased Price not adding tax

Hi guys, I have a new question today.
I have my tax definition set up as Included in Price.
So now let's say I purchase one Item A for $100
From this $100, $10 are tax.
When I see the last prices report it's showing correctly, $100
But when I see the Last Purchased Price, in item master data, it's showing $90 ($100-$10). Since my tax is included in price, shouldn't it show me the full price??

The last purchased price is set by the unit price in the purchasing document, it does not take into account the tax amount.
If you wanted this to be reflected in the Last Purchased Price you would need to set the tax amount for the item, and possibly the entire document to zero.

Valuation Type Price not updating in the PR

We are using two valuation types for a material.
Valuation type(New)in Material master has some price value in it Ex: 50 dollars per unit and Valuation type (Expense) is with Zero value.
While creating a Purchase Requisition,default valuation type(New) gets updated and if we change the valuation type to (Expense) in the PR,there is no change in the Price.Actually the price should be Zero as defined in Material Master.
Why the price is not updating ????

Hi,
During PR creation, Valuation Price is to be maintained derogatorily and generally it gets defaulted from Material Master.
Once the Valuation Type "NEW" is getting defaulted in PR then it is copying the price from this and after changing the valuation type it doesn't change the Price since the valuation price obligation has already been fulfilled.
So if you will stop defaulting the Valuation Type "NEW" for the material then it will ask Valuation type in PR and then it will pick up the price for that Valuation type.
Default Valuation Type is maintained in OMWC
Go to OMWC, there click on "Global Categories", here position cursor on the Valuation category (Maintained for Material Master) and click on "Change" button, here check have you entered any Valuation type "NEW" in field "Default: val.type ext.procure."

ITunes Last Played does not update when syncing from iPod

When I synch any of my Ipods, the last played field does not update in Itunes.
If I play the song from Itunes. (11.1.5) Last Played works fine.
I tried the crossfade solution, but that did not work. My crossfade was already not selected.
Any other thoughts?

As if by magic it is now working. I went away from the mac for a couple of hours, came back and it started to work. This is scary as I would expect this kind of action on a Mickysoft machine but not a Mac. Ho Hum - at least the problem has been sorted even if I don't know how.

Actual activity price not updating in production order

Hi All,
I am facing one problem, that actual price for activities are not updating in production order while plan price are updated. Earlier both plan and activity prices were getting upadated but now actual price is not updating for any material. I have tried at the same material also but it is not getting updated. Actual hours are updated in confirmation of production order but not price. If somebody could suggest the reason it will be great.
