I need to remove "air." from package name. I'm get a Layout xml error when repackaging android app..

So, i'm doing this on my own app. I made an update for an older app that was build using Native Android. But this time, i used Adobe AIR... The catch is Adobe likes to append a "air." to the front of your package name without asking you. So basically I can't upload my update because it has a new package name is now "air.com.mycompany.myapp" rather than the original "com.mycompany.myapp"

I followed all the steps, made all the adjustments to the androidmanifest.xml like it asks.
But after going along with the above guide, with no issues when i get to the step that says
"Run the following command to create the resource file for the updated AndroidManifest.xml:"
I run this..
    "/Users/brybam/Documents/eclipse/android-sdk-mac_x86/platform-tools/aapt" package -f -M AndroidManifest.xml -F resources.arsc -I "/Users/brybam/Documents/eclipse/android-sdk-mac_x86/platforms/android-8/android.jar" -S ./res
But I keep getting the same error regarding the xml files in res/layout
    ./res/layout/expandable_chooser_row.xml:1: error: Error parsing XML: not well-formed (invalid token)
    ./res/layout/expandable_multiple_chooser_row.xml:1: error: Error parsing XML: not well-formed (invalid token)
    ./res/layout/main.xml:1: error: Error parsing XML: not well-formed (invalid token)
    ./res/layout/multiple_file_selection_panel.xml:1: error: Error parsing XML: not well-formed (invalid token)
    ./res/layout/ssl_certificate_warning.xml:1: error: Error parsing XML: not well-formed (invalid token)
The guide doesn't say anything about these xml files, and im not sure what to do with these or how to handle them.
If i go into the res/layout folder, and just delete these (i know they're necessary. But i just deleted them as a test, to get through the rest of the guide...)
I was able to get through the rest of the steps in the guide fine, make an apk, and put it on my phone...only to find out the app will crash the moment you try to run it. Probably because i deleted the layout xml files...But i cant get the command i need to run above to accept them!
So, earlier in the guide they have me use thing thing called the "AXMLPrinter2.jar" to make the AndroidManifest.xml readable so i can edit it.
I run something like this:
    java -jar "/Users/brybam/Desktop/repackage/AXMLPrinter2.jar" AndroidManifest.xml > AndroidManifest.xml.bk
This makes a new file "AndroidManifest.xml.bk" and i can edit that.
So, I was thinking with all of these layout xml files, maybe I could run this "AXMLPrinter2.jar" on them and then edit them. Because right now if you open them they're not human readable, and its hard for me to work on them if they're not...
I tried this thinking i could do the same thing...
    java -jar "/Users/brybam/Desktop/repackage/AXMLPrinter2.jar" main.xml > main.xml.bk
Just get a blank file and a console erorr when trying to use the AXMLPrinter2.jar on the layout xml files...

Ok, so I found a site that talks about the error I'm getting but it's in chinese, and even after translating the page...I'm still not well versed with terminal and this stuff to get it.

Maybe someone with more know-how could explain what they're explaining? I get that he's saying the issue im seeing appears when you're using minSdK <=7 but I need to use minSdk 8. Does anyone understand this work around? And how I might go about it on a Mac with terminal?
I wish adobe would make it easy to remove the "air." from the package name. If they want to convert old Native devs to AIR devs...the transition needs to be seamless. But now I'm about to have to go back to Native because I can't update an app I already have out on the market with an air app.

     I also tried to remove "air." package name in air application. And i encounter the same problem.
     I do not find any solution to decode the xml inside res folder by AXMLPrinter2.jar. And those xml inside is compressed which is unreadable.
     However, what you can do is copying the structure of res folder. And go to your air sdk file path - adobeair-sdk-folder/lib/android/lib/resources/
     Replace those file exists in your res folder. And copy "values" folder to your res folder.
     Hope this solve your problem~

Web Dynpro-layout preview-Error-IE cannot display-service in SICF activated

Hello,
By starting a view in web dynpro framework, i have the error in tab layout "page cannot be displayed" from IE.
Before i make the change in the DNS and system32/../etc, the layout was displayed, but the web dynpro application cannot be started.
Now after those configurations and activation of services in SICF, i can start the web application only with firefox and not internet exploer, and, that internet explorer is preconfigured for the layout preview, i recieve all times the eror "cannot display" when i start a view in the layout tab.
1. How can i change settings so that view can be displayed in layout after i actived the (hope the suitables i.e. view designer) services in SICF - Default_host...
2. Is it possible to change IE to firefox as main browser for layout tab.
Note: For virtual domain i
1. add dns "domain.com" in the DNS
2. add in system32/etc/host file to "127.0.0.1 localhost", "10.10.0.10 sysserv.domain.com"
3. and trough tr. rz10 in the instance profil input the icm/.... ....domain.com
Through this three steps i could get the web dynpro application started,
but from the other side, the layout preview do not display the view again
and just send error the message: "THIS PROGRAM CANNOT DISPLAY THE WEBPAGE"

Fluid grid layout css error - (adobe support sucks!)

We just bought upgrades for our entire department to dreamweaver cs6 about 2 weeks ago. Today for the first time I've been trying to make use of the new fluid grid layout system. I got some of the page put together and when I then tried to insert a new fluid layout div I got an error message saying "Could not find Dreamweaver Fluid Grid style sheet". I wasn't sure what to make of it so I googled it. I found someone with a similar, not exact, error message and someone suggested they double check their css file to see if it was missing a closing }. I double checked my css files and they were fine. I tried reinstalling dreamweaver in case a file got corrupted. No go. After reopening the file, now my fluid grid pink overlays won't display.
It's as though the stylesheet where the fluid grid styles are defined isn't being recognized, however at the same time, some styles defined in that stylesheet ARE being applied to the page, but not all of them.
I called adobe support, sat on hold forever only to be told that because we purchased a downloaded version of the upgrade, we don't get the 90 days of support but have to pay $39. Are you kidding me adobe? No support without paying after we just paid literally thousands of dollars in upgrades to our cs6 packages?
Another thing that's odd is that if I start a new fluid page and save the files in a new folder, the insert new fluid grid div works fine. I know it sounds like some stylesheet got hosed, but as I said, I have double and triple checked the css file and don't see a problem. Anyone have an idea what might be wrong? thanks.

I found the problem and in fact it was a problem with the stylesheet. However, it wasn't due to any invalid styles. Apparently there are comments near the top of the stylesheet that tell dreamweaver that that's the stylesheet where the fluid grid content is stored.   It would have been helpful if they included additional comments like "DON'T REMOVE THESE COMMENTS OR YOUR'RE SCREWED AND WE WON'T HELP YOU FIGURE OUT WHY!!!". Specifically the section I removed which caused it to break was this...

New layout, CSS errors and Firefox problems

Could it be that some of the Firefox problems are caused by:
1) The wrong mime type for the CSS files? Currently it appears to be:

Webdynpro Dynamic layout manipulation: error attaching elements to Group

Hi Experts,
I am trying to create dynamic layout during run time. Itu2019s working partially, but as soon as I add new u201CGroup elementu201D or new u201CTransparent elementu201D I am getting a null error. If I just use buttons, input field or text dynamically layout create it works fine. I want to group this fields in a groups or transparent container so that I can manipulate layout place containers where I need. As soon as I add other element (inputfield/button/text) to transparent element it errors. I have attached code below for more detail. Does anyone have similar issue? Lot of demo and example code show how to create elements (inputfield/button/text) none show how attach those element back to u201DGroupu201D or u201CTransparentu201D element.

I suggest you create a transparent container at design time and then use the below code in wddomodify to get a reference to the transparent container.

Oracle Composer Layout Customizable Error!

I´ve been trying to develop a custom webcenter application using oracle composer, but everytime I have a Layout Customizable in my page, I keep getting the following error message in my server:
<MDSRestrictionPolicy><_updateMDSRef> An error has occurred while finding the page for the component with client ID pt1:layoutCustomizable1.
I have tried everything to avoid this message, but everytime I navigate between pages, it shows in the server log. I have tried using templates, and not using templates at all. I have also tried changing the ID. I´m using a menu model to navigate between pages, showned in the following article:

The problem with this error is that after a few minutes navigating between the pages, the navigation flow just seems to stop working and I cant go from one page to the other anymore. Anyone has been through this before?

Yup, I had tried setting the "Clean MDS after each run" before, but still got the same message. I have tried with both integrated and standalone WL.
I just found out that if I set the "ShowIcon" and "ShowLayoutChanger" properties of the Layout Customizable to false, I dont get that message anymore..
Now I only see the message when I navigate between pages with the "edit mode" on. Is there a way to disable a component (like the command navigation item button inside the navigation pane) when the edit mode is triggered? Thanks!

LAYOUT.T_ITEM_EXCEEDS_MAX error.

Hi All,
After upgrading Apex 4.2 I started to get error LAYOUT.T_ITEM_EXCEEDS_MAX for the page where we have more than 200 fields. Due to some reasons our client required some pages with more than 200 fields and we created a kind of AJAX callback to manage DML action. And it was working perfectly with previous version. But now we are getting the error.
Is there anyway to turn-off this error?
The code it causes the error is "apex_plugin.get_input_name_for_page_item(FALSE);"
If I turn this off then it works ok. But I want to know whether there is an another solution or not for this.

The documented component limit is 200 items per page. Prior to 4.2 this limit was 100 - perhaps they have tightened this in certain areas for reasons that we don't need to be aware of.

Layout generation error!!!

I created some Field Groups and have given the Field Structure. But when I try to do the Layout Generation for the field groups I get the error "No field group was selected in the blueprint table"
Can somebody help.

First of all, check that you have assigned a structure (screen structure) to a newly created field group: start transaction CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C, then follow Application Element -> Field Group -> Field Group. If structure is provided, make sure that it is a DDIC struture.
If it won't help, define an application layout in CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C with that field group for an applicication you want to use it with.
The really thing could help you with generation process is the CRMC_BLUEPRNTC table (check with se16). It should contain an entry for your field group. If it's not - this is the problem.

H:PanelGroup layout. Error in documentation ???

The render kit docs clearly say:
If the "style" or "styleClass" attributes are present, and the "layout" attribute is present with a value of "block", render a "div" element
... No matter what I do, I get a span element rendered.
Can someone explain what I am missing??

Creating Wizard Layouts JHS error. taskFlowViewActivities.vm

After configuring Wizard Layout as described in JHS developer Guide (release 11.1.2), 5.9. "Creating Wizard Layout", JHS generator raised following error"

This error generated when "Wizard Style Layout" is checked and disappear when it is unchecked.
Does anybody found solution for this.

Hi Steven,
I look for the root of the issue and came to the point that Wizard group should not have any items. All items MUST be moved to region or removed, otherwise this TEMPLATE error will be generated. May be this rule need to be added to JHS developer guide.

Report Layout Upload - Error 404

OK, this is a new one...
I've been editing this layout for a report using Report Layouts, and been able to upload and delete the same file about a dozen times.
Now, I create a lauout, and select the file to upload, but on create this is what I get -
Not Found
The requested URL /pls/apex/wwv_flow.accept was not found on this server.
Oracle-Application-Server-10g/10.1.2.0.0 Oracle-HTTP-Server Server at serverxxx Port 7777I've tried to save the file in different names, and in different locations, but it won't upload. I tried another layout I have, another RTF, but it failed as well. A .png will upload, but no RTF's will.
I don't think its my rtf file, because it works using the BI publisher preview...
Not about the problem above. I think it may be image related or server related. The same layout uploads to a different server, no troubles.

Found the problem
My apexfiles tablespace was full. All 100MB of it, bar a few KB.
Let this be a lesson to all - if you 404 on an upload, check you're not full!

Hi,
I want to test the CM - samples.
How can I test the FinanceCorp - Analystreport sample?
i did not find any ImageController in the flex-code.

It looks like the form guide in the Finance sample points to a non-existent SWC library (which would contain the missing ImageController panel layout): "..\..\..\share\res\cm3.swc". You can see this if you look inside the "custom library" drop down list when you edit the properties of the wrapper in Guide Builder.
Unfortunately, there's no fix for this problem in the current CM kit. We will look into fixing this sample in a future release of the CM kit.
