Layout type

Hi all,
I am new to Interactive forms.Could anybody please tell me under what scenario the ZCI layout and XACF layout should be used?I know both are used to integrate the form in webdynpro at runtime. How can I decide whether ZCI or XACF is to be used?
Thanks and Regards,
Rohini Shankar

Hi Rohani,
If the form is interactive you need to add Utilities->Insert web Dynpro script. This command automatically add java script to the form which allow ZCI usage. This command not be used in you are using xACF layout. It is important to add the script before adding interactive button on the form. ZCI must be used for newly created form.  xACF will be used for the existing form.

Shaira.

  • Adobe Interactive Form - Layout type

    Friends,
I am working on an Adobe Interactive Form.
Regarding the Layout Type in the Properties Tab, what option should i choose:
Unknown Layout Type / xACF Layout / ZCI layout / Standard Layout.
I have used print forms in the past and chose Standard Layout. Please let me know what is the right choice for an interactive form.
I am trying to populate Drop Down box with values. I have chosen "Enumerated Drop-down List" from Web Dynpro Native Library.
I have done the binding under Binding tab -> Specify Item Values -> Dynamic Properties -> Binding.
Still the values are not getting displayed in the PDF preview.
Is the layout type the reason for this or do i need to work with ABAP Dynpro to rectify this error.
Points will be rewarded for helpful answers.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    The basic difference is:
    1) ActiveX Dropdowns requires ACF to be installed on each client machine to get back the data from interactive form back to context.
    2) While, the use of Native dropdowns makes a form to ZCI type, so that does not require any xACF component to be installed on each and every machine that uses the Interactive forms.
So, it is recommended to use Native dropdowns in your forms,
Also, for the population of dropdowns of type native you can go through SAP note: 1013227.
    Hope this helps,
    Thanks,

  • Updating PCR Adobe Forms to Layout Type ZCI

I came across OSS Note: 956074 and am trying to determine if the PCR Adobe Forms we are using need to be update to layout type ZCI.
When I execute the program in SA38: FP_CHK_REPORT and provide ISR_FORM_SPSE as the form I am getting a logon box to AdobeDocumentServices/Config.  I provide the ADSUser ID and Password that has been created.  After attempting to logon three times, I received the following error message.
ADS: SOAP Framework error: SOAP Runtime Exception: CSoa(ADS)
Does anyone have suggestions for troubleshooting this error message?
    Thanks,
    Ashley

No the password for ADSUser has not expired and the setting is checked so that it won't expire and does not have to be changed.
I do realize that all the forms need to be updated.  When I try to manually change the layout type to ZCI for each form through SFP I am not able to reactivate the forms.  When I click the activate button I get the same logon box as when I run FP_CHK_REPORT.  I provide the ADSUser ID and Password that has been created. After attempting to logon three times, I received the following error message.
ADS: SOAP Framework error: SOAP Runtime Exception: CSoa(ADS)

  • Adobe Interactive Form Standard Layout Type

    Hi,
We are on SAP ECC 6.0 system with ADS patch level 7.
We are failing the FP_TEST_00 test.. It does not produce any output. System just hangs as if into some infinite loop.
Also noticed that, in SFP in form properties, we just have "Unknown" - "ZCI" and "xACF".. there is no "Standard Layout Type" option. Thus all forms currently have "Unknown Layout Type" in this field, including for FP_TEST_00.
When we call form function module in the application program after FP_JOB_OPEN, it does not give any result.. system hangs as if into infinite loop.
Can anyone tell, how do we resolve these 3 issues? are they linked?
    Thanks a lot.

  • Change section layout type within a dialog box?

Is it somehow possible to change the section layout type within a dialog box? I want to create a non-trivial dialog box which contains a formular and a list component side by side. In a standard page of an GAF or OVP it is possible to change the section style to a 2-row Layout. But in a dialog box page this possibility is disabled. Is there any reason for this? If it is not possible to change to layout, is there any other way to place two UIBBs side by side in a dialog box?
    Best regards,
    Thomas

    Hi Aliaksandr,
sorry, you are right, I had a two column layout in mind but I was faster in writing than thinking
What do you mean by a "composite component"? Is this an FPM concept/UIBB or have I go back to WDA programming to make use of it? Do you have some more information about it for me?
    Thank your very much,
    Thomas

  • Button is not working in ZCI layout type form

    Dear Friends
I am struggeling with one problem in my form, I have one form called zptrv_expense_form.  It is given by SAP only i need to add two buttons named approve and reject. i did and make them as submit button and proved them the url as well. now in the preview and in the portal as well when i go to the button link is missing i mean that button look like text or image of button that cant react on clicking. nothing happens. please tell me how i can rectify this issue.
you any help will be greatly appreciated. thanking you
    Regards
    Naeem

The form type needs to be dynamic for such features. Make sure you are setting the SFPDOCPARAMS-DYNAMIC flag to X in your driver program.
Also most likely the Travel Request form provided by SAP is a Static Print form and if you want that the preview also needs to be dynamic then once you have opened form in LiveCycle Designer go to Edit --> Form Properties -->  Defaults --> Preview Type : Interactive Form and XDP Preview format --> Acrobat Dynamic Form.

  • * symbol and layout type

Everytime I insert a div tag or add padding to a div tag it seems to give an extra 10pixels to it everytime..?
I remember that the * symbol does something to default margins and paddings but I cant remember what, cany anyone help...?
Also Im in teh process of buidling my first page of my first website and I want the page to be a liquid layout (page resizes as user resizes browser right..?).
All my measurements have been done in pixels, do I have to convert them to em's to make it a liquid layout..?
Any suggestions guys as my first page is being more difficult than I thought..

Using * as a selector in your CSS will apply that rule to everything.  Some people use it to "cancel out" padding and margin on all elements but really, it's overiding the browser default settings.  There are a couple of links below that will tell you a little more.
    padding: 0;
    margin: 0;
Be aware that not everyone thinks that the above is a good idea.
If you choose to use em as a measurment in your layour, the site will grow or shrink with the browser if the user zooms or changes the size or the text.  I think that a liquid layout is more about using % as a size so that if the top level element is width: 70% it will always be 70% of the browser.
    Well I think that's it.

  • No Layout type in the properties tab ????...

    Hi Experts,
I am creating a AIF in the Tr SFP, when I go to the properties tab there is no layout dropdown list available and when I try to activate the form its not allowing me to activate instead a message on the status bar "Action Cancelled by user" and always in inactive mode.
Please help me out on this.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Praveen

    Hi Experts:
I am having the same issue, where the system I am on is SAP ERP Central Component 5.0 (ECC5.0). There is no Layout Tab to define ZCI or xACF. I'm not sure if this is relevant, except that, I cannot get my Interactive form to work.
All PDF tests in SAP are passing except interactivity.
When I call my Adobe Interactive Form and set sfpdocparams-fillable = 'X' I get an error:
Error creating PDF Document -PDF Exception: Stream does not represent a PDF document.
I have applied the Usage Rights credential properly and my form displays read-only when sfpdocparams-fillable = BLANK. While in transaction SFP, I can see that my interactivity works when displaying the form through the Preview PDF tab.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I might do to determine why my interactivity is not working?
    Thanks for your time experts,
    Sean

  • Problem with type ahead, maybe known as keyboard buffer or keyboard buffering

Hi, I'm new to Lightroom and am halfway through Martin Evening's excellent book, but there's a problem I have which I can't find an answer to anywhere so far.
I work on an older PC that has three screens.  My problem is if I have LR on one screen and type into an application in another screen, or rather think I'm typing into the other application but actually the LR screen is still active, then LR basically goes nuts as it attempts to carry out what is in effect a random series of keyboard shortcuts.  I have to wait for LR to finish jumping about and then so a long series of undo's and hope that one of the shortcuts wasn't a delete.
It's occurred to me within LR when I've been typing into the keywords box and predded Enter twice by mistake to confirm an auto complete suggestion by LR and so subsequently exited the keywords box causing LR to interpret all my following keyword letters as commands.
Is there any way to change this? To my mind there shouldn't be any need for LR to read from the keyboard buffer at all.  Is there any way to turn off keyboard shortcuts either all of them or selectively?

    Biganon,
If you are willing to experiment, you could try the following simple xorg.conf:
    Section "Device"
    Identifier "Configured Video Device"
    Driver "nvidia"
    EndSection
    Section "Screen"
    Identifier "Default Screen"
    Device "Configured Video Device"
    DefaultDepth 24
    EndSection
This minimal xorg.conf is only needed because xorg must be told to use the nvidia drivers.
It should figure everything else by itself.
For the Keyboard and mouse handling, install xf86-input-evdev, if not already there.
Start hal from the daemons Line in /etc/rc.conf:
DAEMONS=(syslog-ng network netfs !dbus hal ....
For the Keyboard layout, copy the file:
    /usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/10osvendor/10-keymap.fdi
    to
    /etc/hal/fdi/policy/10-keymap.fdi
and edit this copy as follows:
    <merge key="input.xkb.layout" type="string">ch</merge>
    <merge key="input.xkb.variant" type="string">fr</merge>
I don't particularly appreciate this fdi thing, but, from experience, letting a particular
Desktop/Window Manager manage the keyboard layout is even worse.
    Further info at:
    http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xor … otplugging
Needless to say, if you try this, backup your original xorg.conf.

  • Crystal Report Layout With Prompts SAP BO v8.8

    Forum members,
I can successfully import a Crystal Report with parameters as a REPORT type into SAP BO 8.8.  But when I attempt to upload the same report as a LAYOUT type, I receive the error, "Missing Parameters" and the import process halts even when I set a value as the default value for the parameters.  I have two questions:
    1.  Does SAP BO v8.8 support Crystal Report parameters in print layouts?  If it does,
    2.  How do I resolve this error message and get this functionality to work?
    Thanks!
    Gregg

I ended up submitting this to SAP support as a bug.  Found that we can successfully print using the preview button first and then printing from that interface but sending the report directly to the printer or pdf generates an error.

    Hi,
As far as i know when you use Adobe forms in a WD4A application, language is your "web" connection language.
You can have a look at standard class CL_WD_ADOBE_SERVICE, it's used when generating an adobe forms from WD4A. , more particulary look at method DETERMINE_DOCPARAMS.

  • [Solved]Keyboard layout screwed up and some keys don't work

After I reinstalled xorg-server 1.5.3-1 and installed xf86-input-evdev 2.0.1-1 and xf86-input-keyboard 1.3.1-1 some of my keys don't work and keyboard layout screwed up. I had finnish (fi) layout, but now it's "us". Arrows, insert- delete- home- end- pg up- pg down- print screen- scroll lock- pause- keys don't work. All characters behind Alt Gr + "" don't work either.

well i read a lot of threads and i solved almost everything, but my keyboard layout is still a little strange, for example, before the "backslash" key (the one above the TAB key) doesn't work anymore, that really bothers me because i really use the midnight commander "hotdir" feature

  • Report layout in french not displaying french characters properly

    Hello,
I have a report layout that I have created with a 3rd party tool (j4ldesigner). All it has on it is one label (displaying a couple of french characters as a test
). Within APEX I have created a test report layout and imported it as a named column report layout type. I then created a very simple report query and associated it with the test layout. When I run the test report, the layout launches but the characters éâ appear as éâ.
So I'm thinking this has to do with language somehow. I have other reports which are generic named column reports, but those are manually entered and seem to work fine. The named column layout is imported, and I'm assuming some sort of conversion is happening where those special french language characters are concerned.
The fact is this is a 11.2.0.3 database. I was assuming the language set would use the standard language librariy files which come with 11G (ie $ORACLE_HOME/nls/data) so I wouldn't have an issue. Since it is not working, do I need to use the language files associated with 9idata? Or is there an init.ora parameter I am missing?

    Hello,
Within APEX I have created a test report layout and imported it as a named column report layout type.Make sure the Report Layout File is in UTF-8 encoding. Most of the times, the issue is with file encoding type.
If you use text editors like [url http://notepad-plus-plus.org]notepad++ you can see and convert from one encoding to other.

    Hari
