Leave quotas

Hi ,
How to creat the folowing senario:
An employee is eligible for 6 leaves per year.
In case of any new joining, the leaves shall be credited on pro-rata basis based on Date of Joining.
In case, the joining is on or before 15th of calendar month , the pro-rata calculation would be for complete month and
     in case the date of joining is after 15th of calendar month, the pro-rata calculation shall start from the  succeeding
      Month.
For ex:
If the employee joins on 1st jan he will get all 6 leaves
if the employee joins  in between 1 to 15 for ex: if he joins on 1st july he will get 3 leaves
if the employee joins after 15 for ex if the joining date is 16th july he will get 2.5 leaves.

You may check the apply the concept by checking a Re: Quota generation depending on the Joining date
Or you create the Time Type under table T555a and for counting no. of day in period, and checking true/false. Then you write the condition to check no. of day whether fulfill the condition or not according to each particular month
For example, calendar day in July is 31 day, joining on 16 onward is equal or less than 16 days. Check the end of period and check the no. of days from created time type. In this case put 0 to time type true/fale. Then the condition whether on that month will be generate quota or not. Standard function "QUOTA" will take the configuration from table T559L to generate the quota based on tab "Accural period" and tab "Transfer time".
Note that, be careful on the rounding rule. If accural as monly, the rouding rule should be rounded at the latest period and rounding the results.
It would give you a clue.

  • Generation of Annual Leave Quota at a time for the whole  year

    Kindly give some suggestions.
    I am working on Time evaluation. We have a quota , Annual leave which is now given on monthly basis, means lets 12 annual leave are for whole year and employee are getting 1 leave on each month.
    Now  my requirement is to give this quota at a time in the start of every year. That means all the 12 annual leave should be generated in the start of a year.
    When I select the option no pro rata calculation then I am getting all this leave in the start of the year. But when an employee is joined in the mid of the year then also 12 leave is been generated which is not correct.
    Please suggest me how to make this leave as prorated so that for new joinee , this leave is generated taking into account the period and generate the prorate value for the whole year at the time of joining.

    Hi Sikinder,
    I am using + time evaluation Status-2. We have to generate quota in PT60 for each period.
    Write now we are getting annual leave quota getting generated in monthly basis. We want to genarate whole quota  for the  year in the 1st month of the year.
    When I have given calender year in the accrual period , i am not getting any quota in the 1st month rather getting the whole quota in the end of the year.
    Please suggest me what to do.

    Hi Gurus,
    please help me in solving the following issue.
    12 leave quota is generated for the employees after they  had completed  working for 240 days (weekly-off and Public holiday's are excluded) and after that every 12 days of working days he will get one additional leave.
    we are using both Positive and negative Time Evolution and no CATS is used.
    how to do the configuration for the above ..please help me out.

    You have to use Postive time evaluation .. and can maintain dates for IT 19  after 240 days after joining dates and that date types u can have in the generation of Quota..

  • Error while generating the annual leave quota.

    Hi All,
    For all the employee group's for the past 2 years we are generating the Annual leave quota.
    For one employee group, management decided not to give annual leave quota. i have done the necessary configuration so that the quota will not get generated for them.
    For the new employees quota is not getting generated.
    For the old employees i have deleted the annual leave absence quota and run PT60. For these employees system is throwing the following error.
        Error entry no. 83 Error when creating absence quota
         General information
         Rule: 000 quota type 00
        No quota type for key 7 99 01 20110930
    Please suggest the solution.

    This is for employee Group,
    We have 2 employee groups, 1. Permanent
                                                    2. Contract
    For all the contract employees, we have generated the annual leave quota for the past 2 years.
    Now management doesn't want any annual leave quota to be generated for this particulat employee group. so i have deleted all the configuration related to this employee group from base entitlement, accrual of quota generation, deduction rule,selection rule & couting rule.
    When i am hiring a new empoyee the quota is generating correctly, means annual leave quota is not generating, remaining leaves are generating.
    Is it a right way of doing, normally if this is the scenario, what we have do to,
    For the old employees, after deleting the 2006 IT also, system if thwoing the error as i mentioned in my first conversation.
    Please suggest.

  • Deducting leave quota for multiple lates in a month

    Hi Experts,
    I am working on a Positive Time implementation and I am facing problem with one of the clientu2019s requirement. If an employee is late for more than 3 times in a single month (not necessarily consecutive) then his leave quota should be deducted (Priority: 1)CL  2) SL) by 0.50. I donu2019t have any idea about the same. Kindly help me on priority

    Hi,
    There isn't much config settings that you can do to achieve this. You will have to go with modification of schema TM00 and write PCRs in the same to implement this working time policy.
    You need to write a PCR that compares the actual In time of the employee with his planned working time and store the difference in a time type.
    Check if this time type value is more than permissible late coming for each working day.
    If it is more..update a counter time type. then is the counter time type's value is more than 3 write a PCR to deduct value from CL / SL quota which ever is available.

  • Leave Quota Reduction - Prorata basis (From Backdate)

    Hi Experts
    I have an issue same as yours.
    The scenario is that an employee (existing) is entitled for all the absence quota at the beginning of a year (i,e, on a calendar year).
    However, the employees who join in the mid of the year should get absence quota on a pro-rated basis.
    For example: If an employee (existing) is entitled for 12 days of Annual Leave in a calendar year.
    If a new employee joins the company in the month of Feb. He/she should get on a pro-rated basis i.e. he/she is eligible for 11 days of Annual Leave in all.
    I tried few changes in t559l table and set the base entitlement to accrual period , in accrual entitlement it is checked on pro-rated basis.

  • Advice needed for using date type in leave quota generation.

    Requirement:   Seniority for quota generation of long service leave must be based on date "02" in IT0041.
    Although all the relevant config has been done using the date type 02, the quota is still being generated based on date type 01. 
    My Question:  What is required to make this scenario work?

  • Leave Quota generation with diifferent rules for different countries

    Hi,
    I have the following requirement need help in achieving this.
    Employers must grant 10 days paid leave to employees that worked for six consecutive months from the time of hiring and who worked on not less than 80 per cent of all schedule work days. This paid leave may be taken consecutively or separately. Where an employee's application to take paid leave will hinder the normal business operations, the employer may require the employee to take such paid leave at a different time.
    The number of days of paid leave available to employees increases in proportion to employees' length of service as set forth in the below table.
    Years of Service  0.5  1.5  2.5  3.5   4.5   5.5   6.5+
    Paid Holidays         10    11  12   14    16    18    20
    The right to annual paid leave expires after two years. In other words, annual paid leave left over from one year may be carried over and taken the next year only. For example, if an employee is awarded 10 days paid leave after their first 6 months of employment; those paid holidays will become invalid after 2.5 years of employment. Use them or lose them.
    Simply put, holidays from one year can be carried over to the next year, but not to the third year. So, if you don't take your leave from one particular year within 12 months of that year ending, you will lose that first year's allowance.
    Employee can take leave encashment of holiday leave only when leaving their employer. It is not legal for companies to buy up the holiday leave of those still working for the firm.
    In my organization one PSG grouping has been used for all countries, it wont be possible to change the grouping now. In such a case how can we provide different rule for different country without customizing the Leave module.
    Do we have to use any PCR for this, if yes which??

    Hi,
    Use QUOMO Feature to give different entitilement to employees.
    Leave entitlement as per seniority can be configured in base entitlement.
    Keep validity and deduction period for 2 years by using :Relative postion" option in validity and deduction period table.

    And the other error is :

    Hi,
    For first error, pl. check the table V_T001P in which your PSA (which belongs to this specific employee) has incuded or not ?
    If not then pl. include and check the same.
    In case of second error, we have also faced such type of error in my previous organization.
    For this you need to delete B1 B2 cluster. I am not exactly remembering the Tcode for this.
    Pl. check Tcode PU00, while deleting data be careful you need to delete only B1 B2 Cluster Infotypes only.

  • Quota deduction when EE has been inactive for more than 180 days / Advance quota days when employee does not have enough balance

    Dear experts,
    We have two requirements regarding to the "Anual leave" quota.
    1. Quota reduction when employee is inactive for more than 180 days
    2. Advance quota days when employeee does not have enough balance
    We have in place an "Anual Leave" quota related to a calendar year period, that gets generated dialy in time evaluation. This quota gets the employee entitlement from a set of rules that stored the corresponding balance in a period time type, that is the one that we defined in the customizing. This is working fine. The problems start when we try to incorporate the other two requirements.
    Regarding the first requirement, if the employee has been inactive for more than 180 days in a calendar year due to unpaid leave, we need to start quota reduction as follow,
    First, we need to clear the balance that was calculated above in the schema.
    Then, we need to calculate one leave day for every 20 days worked till the end of the year, considering as such, everyday the employee is expected to work, except days on which the employee has been absent on unpaid leave.
    For the second requirement we created a manual quota call "Advance Anual Leave". So, if the employee, wishes to take 20 working days holiday, but in his/her Anual Leave quota has only 10 days available, we have to create an "Advance Anual Leave" quota manualy for 10 days. When the quota for next year gets generated, we need to deduct these advanced 10 days from it. This deduction should stop the year after.
    The problem we are finding with these two requirements is that, due to the Anual Leave quota gets generated dialy, we can't get the balance right.

  • Quota credit on 1st of calendar year for existing employees and for new joinees on prorata basis

    Dear All,
    we are having an issue in quota generation, where casual leave quota should get credited on 1st of every calendar year and for mid month joiners on prorate basis. If we select calendar year it is crediting on 31st of calendar year, but we need it to be credited on 1st  of January and also checking the prorate condition for new joiners.
    So please guide on whether it is possible through standard or any work around solution. If so how can it be achieved.

    need your help in this issue, i am running time evaluation with schema ZM00 where annual leave quota is generated with TE.
    my problem here is that the quota is being generated on a monthly basis with 1.25 day/month and it is showing in the "Accrual Information" in the Time Management Pool in PT40, but when displaying the quota in IT2006, the add up of the quota generation is different.
    please advise.

    my problem is that the Accrual entitlements are being generated correctly but they are not adjusting the IT2006.
    what would prevent the accrual entitlements from being automatically updated in IT2006. I checked the the following date in SPRO and it is correct:
    Time Management- Time Data Recording and Administration- Managing Time Accounts Using Attendance/Absence Quotas- Calculating Absence Entitlements-- Automatic Accrual of Absence Quotas--- Permit Generation of Quotas in Time Evaluation
