hi paranthaman,
You mentioned that you purchased a new battery for the G450 system. To replace this battery, you will need to contact the person or the store that sold you this battery (eg. If you purchased it from Amazon.com, you will need to contact Amazon) as the battery can only be replaced from the place of purchase.

I just downloaded more then 2000 photo's from my NIKON camera into iPhoto. Shortly after that my battery life was depleted and so I plugged the computer back into power and after I opened iPhoto later, I could not find those photos anymore!! Help where are they? How can I retrieve them or are they lost???
    Please help me!!!

Do you see more photos, when you enable "Hidden Photos" in the "View" menu?
And that was afetr I took the connection with the NIKON out of my laptop.
Check, if you really imported into your iPhoto library - is the preference setting "Advanced > Importing: Copy items to the iPhoto Library" active?  If not, connect your Nikon again - do you now see more photos?
If you imported into the iPhoto Library, check inside the package:
Select your iPhoto library in the Finder, ctrl-click it, use the command "Show Package Contents".
There will be a folder named "Masters" inside, with subfolders named by year - month - day. Look for the date you did the import and check, if the photos are inside.
If yes, copy this folder to a folder on your desktop to save the photos.
If not, search for a folder "Importing" inside the library. Is it there? Then copy these photos to a folder on the Desktop.
If you found your photos, backup and rebuild your library.

    Hi aaliyafrommarkham,
In order to troubleshoot this, I would recommend that you start with an SMC reset. Information on this procedure can be found here:

  • Need help with G450 battery: Stuck at 0%, claims 9x% and not charging

Okay, there have been a couple similar posts but they don't provide a definitive answer so I am going to ask again.
A few days ago, I put my computer in sleep mode with a low battery. When I woke it up, it froze and I had to force shutdown. Since then, whenever I unplug the computer, it loses power instantly, indicating that the battery is not powering it. However, my system can still tell when the battery is inside or not. When it is inside, it tells me I have "97% available (plugged in, not charging)", where the 97% slowly decreases over time (at first I had 99%).
What is the problem here? How do I solve it? The "plugged in not charging" issue seems to be fairly common, but the fact that my battery is drained and the way that I got to this point seem somewhat exceptional. If it comes down to buying a new battery, that is not a problem - I could use the extra battery life, and they're pretty cheap.
SPECS: I am using Windows 7 on a Lenovo G450 and do not appear to have Lenovo Power Management software. My AC adapter appears to work just fine.

    hi serpinium,
    Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
Based from your findings, I suspect a faulty battery.
-- it's possible that the battery circuit inside is not working to unload the charge, or one of the battery already reached its life span.
-- there's also a chip inside that handles how the battery gets charges and checks the charge level of each battery (both are controlled by a firmware) -- ti's also possible that this chip is malfunctioning.
Batteries degrade overtime due to heat and daily use. If you had this battery for more than a year then perhaps it's time to get a replacement battery.

  • Lenovo T61p battery stuck at 0%. Will not charge.

    Hello,
i bought my t61p about 3 months ago. Everythink worked fine but two days ago i left the computer on standby without the power plugged in. When i then started my pc with the ac plugged in, i noticed that my battery was on 0% charge and it wasn't charging at all. The power or battery management tool is saying that the battery is fine. But i can't tell why it isn't charging. The orange battery light keeps on flashing.
I turned off the computer and let it plugged in to AC for about an hour, but when i checked the orange light was still flashing.
Did i make a mistake somewhere by leaving it discharged for a few hours some time? I was really brutal to my toshiba and it's battery still charged so i wasn't expecting this to happen.
Any way i can diagnose where the problem lies? i'm pretty sure the whole laptop is still within warranty.

I'm sorry to hear that. By all indications the battery might be dead. Have you tried to take the battery out and unplug the AC power and let everything sit for a few minutes? I don't hold much hope but it's worth a try. Put the battery back and plug in the power supply and wait ten minutes or so. A dead battery may strain the power supply so I wouldn't leave it trying to charge it too long. Monitor the heat of the unit.

That many cycles is amazing service. A battery that consistently shuts down at about the same charge level percentage every time probably has a bad cell (that info came form an Apple technician) and needs to be replaced.
It's given you far longer service than many of us get, and may be a new record around here for cycle count!

  • Help! Battery with red slash appears when I plug in charger!

This past weekend I woke up to find my blackberry unresponsive with a battery icon with a slash through it. I fiddled with it and took out hte battery a couple of times and it came on normally. Monday I plugged it in to charge and same thing. Tonight, knowing what evil would probably happen, I plugged in the charger and bam. battery with slash again. This time the battery was just about dead before putting on the charger but the other times it was about mid charge. Is it dead for good this time and should I just go suck it up and buy a cheap replacement? hah Phone will be a year old next month.

This is happening because of your bettrey. I would recommand you to buy an original RIM accessories. But before doing so what you can do is get a similer battery from your friends or peer to check your device condition.

  • Lenovo U310 - battery stuck at 90%

My battery gauge says it's 90% and charging, and doesn't charge any further.
I noticed that, when I had the Lenovo Energy Management thing installed it had a battery gauge reset, but when I ran it it gave no indication that it was even doing anything, so IDK what's up with that.

My battery still only charges to 90% though, and I'm not experiencing any of the problems posted in that link.
Also I don't have a Y series laptop so.... yeah

  • I just put a new battery into my MacBook and it sometimes says Not Charging when it is connected to a power adapter.

Does anyone know what this might mean?  My battery just went down to 7 percent charge even though it had been connected to the power adapter for quite some time.  At least a few days.  I didn't notice that the battery wasn't charging.  Now it says it is charging again, but every once in a while I notice it has gone to not charging.  Any ideas?
    Thanks

Oftentimes the travel chargers connectors and pins just build up dirt and grime. When it says not charging it's able to give enough power to function but not charge. Try wiping it down with a cloth!

  • Lenovo G450 get´s slow

Hi, i buy a Lenovo G450 like 10 months ago, and all was alright, it was fast, and completely a super laptop, but one day, like three months ago, i have an error on a windows file, and the operative system crash, so i reinstall and function okay , but at the week,  it passed another time, so i decide to erase windows and install linux, everything was okay but i go to vacations for 1 month and when i come back i was so slow!! it takes like 10 minutes to turn on, and you can not do anything cause it will super slow donw -_- so i reinstall windows another time, but nothing, it gets slow and slow, and i dont know what to do, i dont have the recovery files or a backup disc, then a friend thats a expert on that things said me that it can be a problem on the hard drive and i need to send it to the factory to repair it, but i know there should be another solution,
    Hope you can help me.

Update: Sometimes it saves at normal speed aswell, only spending a few seconds.
So I decided to look closer at the system monitor, and it seemes like premiere is using 8,1 GB memory (In preferences max available is set to 9 GB). Is seemes to stagger at that approx 8 196 000 kb limit, indicating that memory usage might be the cause of operation slowing down?? (I'm not a computer expert, so please correct me:)
CPU usage doesn't seem to go beyond 50 % at any times.

Try resetting your iPhone by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

I would suggest a Battery gauge reset, but im not 100% sure if it will work out, though you can try a gauge reset, considering the age of the machine I would also suggest a battery replacement
