Lenovo UK Winter VAT back offer - NO RESPONSE

Hi,
I bought two Lenovo Ideacentre Flex 20" back in December, submitted my claim following the steps on the website  but never received an answer (I did it again a week after, same thing).
Tried to contact lenovo @ the email address specified on the offer's page ([email protected]) after one week, no anwer either.
Sent another email after one more week - no answer.
Sent another one yesterday - still no answer.
We're near to the offer's closing date and still nothing from Lenovo, this is the worst customer service ever.
Please advice on what to do in order to claim the VAT back, and get a response from some one.

Regrettably, yes. I purchased 7 machines, and have been trying to obtain the cashback since Oct 2014, and they do not respond. Going through these forums it would appear that it is not a new problem as there are complaints of this going back to 2011.  I wish I had found this before buying their equipment, but at least it was before we replaced the majority of our machines!

  • How to map Buy back offer from vendor

    Dear All
In our plant there are several old machines of welding we want to purchase new one against the old means the vendor is ready to take old and give the new one this is called the Buy-back offer
what is the procedure to show it in the po.

    Hi,
You have to create two material numbers viz one for old welding machines and other one for new welding macjines. Also as stated it appears as you are getting replacement for the opld machines for which you can decide with your vendor , what are the charges he is going to lieved for returning back theold machine. While creating purchase order fopr new welding machine you must add the old welding machine with its material number and movement type 161 and marking return indicator in the item overview. With this you have only pay the vendor the diffrence between the cost of new machine minus the cost of old machine which you nad vendor has agreed .
You have create two material numbers as stated above , so that you can have two different sets of info records. Also they should hit same G/L accounts as defined.

    Hi,
this article has a use case for the POJO approach: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/issue-archive/2011/11-may/o31adf-352561.html
Another is to define a method binding in the receiving PageDef file and configure it as explained here

  • Text responses-have to step back to see response.???

When I am texting/messaging, and get a response from that person, instead of the response showing up on the same screen, I have to go back a page to the person's name and open it again to see the response.  Any ideas?

Force close the Messages app: double-tap the home button, locate Messages in the list at the bottom, tap and hold it until it wiggles, tap to close it, finish by tapping the home button.  Try again and see if it works now.

  • How do I back up a responsive iPod that needs a restore?

I have a 160GB iPod Classic that I have a lot of files stored on that I need to get off it (I don't mean music, I used it as a storage device for other files), but when I try connecting it to my Mac, iTunes says that the iPod is corrupted and that it needs to be restored or reset. I've tried reseting it loads of times but that doesn't do anything, and I can't restore it because I then would lose all my files. I also tried putting it in disk mode, but Finder didn't recognize it. When I unplug the iPod it's usable and I can see that almost all the disk space is used, so the files aren't gone either.
Is there some way I can force Finder to mount the disk, or can I restore the iPod without deleting the files? As I said; it's not the music I care about, it's the other files.

Before connecting your iPod, go to iTunes Preferences > Devices and check the button next to "Disable automatic syncing..." and click OK. Then connect your iPod. If it won't mount, you'll need to use Disk Utility or some other disk program (like DiskWarrior) to examine and repair the disk and/or rescue your files.

  • In OUT Bound of a Jaxws provider, how can we stop the provider invoking its endpoint and send a response back?

    Hi One & All
While we are working on Delegate(provider) for JAXWS client handler in Weblogic10 , we have some technical issues and need some assistance.
    Problem Description
In OUTBound of a provider, how can we stop the provider invoking its endpoint and send a response back?
    Example:
I have a provider with some handlers configured for both IN and OUT flows. When the Jaxws provider is making a request, the OUTBound Handler gets invoked and in this Handler I would like to stop invoking actual endpoint and send back my own response. That means I should be able to tell the Handler chain to stop further processing of this flow, set a response message into message exchange and invoke the IN flow. How do I do that?
This kind of mediation/interception is possible in standard specifications like JAX-WS, Servlets etc… wondering if Weblogic10 JAXWS provides any sort of this kind.
Also we would like to know who is invoking a provider endpo     int in JAXWS stack in weblogic10? Is it an OUTBound handler at the end of handler chain or some other transport component after the handler chain?
    Thanks in Advance

I completely agree with this....I have used Windows and Skype for many years. I recently installed an older version of Skype to run on Windows 8.1 because the new version is SO AWFUL. As much as I prefer the older version (6.14), the daily number of SPAM CONTACT requests is rediculous and most are just variations of the same spammer. Maybe it is time to look for a replacement for both?

  • Sending the SOAP request back in the SOAP response

    Hi,
I have a requirement in which I need to update a database from the information I receive in a SOAP request. Now my database will respond back with the number of records that are updated. Now I need to send back a SOAP response which should have the details that I received in the SOAP request.
Can anyone help me on how to send the SOAP request details back in the SOAP response again? I don't want to use a BPM to do this. Also I know that I can use a select statement to get the records that are updated in my response mapping program. Any options other than these?

    Hi Stish,
I do have exactly the same need, just with the difference that I'm sendind data from JDBC as sender and RFC as receiver, the RFC receive an ID fot example and return some data as a response and I want to update the DB with that response but I dont know how to merge the ID from the request and the data from the response in order to send it back and update the DB. I'm willing to do it with BPM but I don't know how to keep the request and the response and then merge them into the new message that will be sent to the JDBC, can you give me some specific steps?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Lenovo 3000 N200 0769. Soon-to-be-doorstop unless...

    Hello.
New forum member.  I joined because I have been passed a Lenovo 3000 N200 0769 by one of my good customers (I look after all their IT).  My notes indicate that this was purchased January 2008.
The problem does not seem unique.  It will not start at all.  Pressing the power button and releasing it results in the power ‘z’ light to illuminate for a few seconds.  That is all.  No hint of the screen illuminating, no fan noise, no other action at all.  No accessories attached.
No BIOS updates have been applied (he would not know how).  The user is not a fiddler.  This PC is a tool for his job and the company relies on my business to look after these (computer) tools, rather than have their executives fiddle about.
I have tried it with battery only, with battery and mains unit, with mains unit only.  Nothing.
I have searched this forum and spent too long reading threads.  The only conclusion I have is that this is not an unusual problem and that (Murphy’s Law) it happens shortly after a twelve month warranty period expires.  The nearest suggestion is motherboard failure. Forlornly I tried to check the warranty, to see if it was longer than 12 months.  On the Lenovo warranty lookup page it returned an error with ‘document not found’ message – hmm…
Happily the data is backed up, which means the user does what he's asked!  Hopefully the HDD is OK, which gives me a tiny fragment of value.
Does anyone have any ideas how to rectify this problem?  Thus far my experience of Lenovo has not impressed.  This could be my last experience of Lenovo.  If there is no meaningful response I just don’t know what my thoughts will be.
    Please will someone help me?
    Thank you

    Hello.
Thanks for the fast reply and the suggestion.
When I press the orange button it has the same result as when pressing power button: brief illumination of green 'z' light and nothing.
I had already seen the suggestion about resetting CMOS and tried that, although it said it was the CLRP1 spot, opposite the modem.  Is there another spot by the RAM?  I can't see anything.
I've also removed the RAM and HDD - still no luck.
Any other suggestions will be very welcome.
    Thank you again.

  • This new OSX is terrible, may as well go back to a Windows macine, slow slow slow slow....

Here is where I would start.
System Information > Hardware > Diagnostics. Passed ?
System Information > Hardware > Memory. All memory ok and available?
    You have 8GB memory installed.
Disk Utility > First Aid > Fix permissions on boot drive
Disk Utility > First Aid > Verify boot drive
Run top(1) or Activity Monitor to determine what is bogging the machine down
See if some of the advice from this blog improves your performance?
Ask yourself: When was the last time I performed a full, clean OS X install?
    Mountain LionDone here
Never, always Apple Software updates for the Lion and Mountain Lion releases
Back up files, Use Lion Diskmaker to create bootable USB stick. Clean install of ML. Rebuilds System File directory.
Or, get latest Alsoft's Disk Warrior and check boot drive file directory fragmentation (probably > 30%)
Option-Rebuild Disk Warrior to fix any file anomalies and rebuild system file directory to 0% fragmentation
You will notice a substantial, overall system performance improvement
If you have third-party attached devices that may not be entirely compatible with ML, are they pulling down CPU and I/O performance due to excessive syslog reporting? I have an external USB enclosure containing a 1TB TimeMachine disk. It incessantly spews syslog warnings about USB to SATA wake up failures. TimeMachine still works fine to this drive. The drive enclosure electronics are highly suspect.
There are other items that undoubtedly, others will offer in response.

  • Truly Terrible Customer Service- Problems With Lenovo U410

    Hello everyone,
I would like to share my Lenovo Customer Service experience.
While on holidays in Poland last August, I decided to buy a new laptop in one of the big electronic stores. The laptop, however, developed a fault on the second day. I thought it was a case of bad drivers causing the problem. After I returned from my holidays, the fault was still there.
I contacted the Lenovo Customer Service who requested a proof of purchase. I explained that the laptop was bought in Poland on holidays and sent them on the receipt. A day later, I got an email saying:
"Your machine has been booked in for a full repair at our service centre. Thank you for your proof of purchase.
In 2-3 working days you will receive a letter containing instructions regarding the booking of your collection. The letter will also contain very important terms and conditions in particular with regards to data loss.
Please follow the instructions and your machine will be repaired under warranty."
A few days later the machine was taken off me by a DPD courier for almost 2 weeks. In the meantime I had no other option but to use my father's laptop to do my final year college project.
I was delighted when I got the email:
"We have completed the servicing of your item.
Your item is now being packed and prepared for dispatch. You can track your package online..."
However, 30 mins after using the "newly repaired" laptop, the stripy screen came back! Needless to say, I wasn't happy. I contacted Lenovo again, their customer service agent apologised for the bad experience and said that the laptop will need to be sent back again. For me that meant another 2 weeks without the laptop!
This Tuesday, I finally  received the laptop back. After using the laptop for an hour or so, the horrible stripy screen appeared in front of my eyes! This time I was absolutely infuriated!! The laptop was sent back twice and the same problem persisted. I got my phone and rang the Customer Service to ask what the hell is happening?!
The answer I got this time was that the laptop was purchased in Poland and therefore it is not covered by the International warranty!! A few months of dealing with the company, a couple of phone calls and sending the laptop off for a repair twice to be told that they didn't fix it because the machine is not covered by the International Warranty?!
This is my short story of my terrible customer experience! I am not satisfied with the way this company operates, takes my laptop off me, sends the laptop off to their repair centre in Germany to then say that they cannot fix it?! Could anyone who works for Lenovo please explain to me where is the logic in that?

I find it absolutely deplorable of Lenovo that there has been no posted response to this customer service issue. I have been trying to decide for a while now if it was worth purchasing a Yoga 2 Pro as it looked to have all the specs of a PC Hybrid I was hoping for. Well....how wrong could I have been...I had no idea how appalling the customer service is from this company!
Firstly, in the UK...there have been some nightmare stories of faulty items and ridiculous product shipping delays that just seem to keep changing without any thought for the consumer in explaining what the hold up is. If you want to see a fantastic daily updated example of this alone just have a look at the Lenovo UK Facebook product page. Just reading it for ten minutes is tragic. There are so many upset customers in there that it almost seems comical.
The shipping delays are pathetic, they will glady take people's money (including warranties on items that arent there!) and hold it in the Lenovo bank accounts but the slow service and response to those with faults displays a complete disregard for the consumer. I can understand a company being unable to keep up with high demand of a product if it is very good and in demand but this needs to be addressed with admission in communication. Simply advertising a product that people cannot access and dealing with the irate customer-in-waiting afterwards is not acceptable.
Let it be known that Lenovo through their own incompetence have lost a customer before he even purchased anything today. I can only hope that others considering making a purchase will see further posts like this and feel deterred in the same way. That way, Lenovo may finally see that they really need to up their game in terms of service and quality control. To the person that made this post, I can only feel sympathy for the problems you had with them and can only say that you are certainly not alone! Check out their UK Facebook page to see just how terrible the service is (including choosing to ignore the more upset customers while blowing the trumpet whenever someone's problem is "sorted"!).

  • Windows 8.1-No UEFI firmware setting in advance option. Can't access BIOS with F2-Lenovo B575

There was Windows 7 Home Premium on my machine before (Lenovo B575)and I could access the BIOS and Boot Menu pressing F2 and F12. I installed Windows 8 Enterprise version first and lost the ability to go into the BIOS. I upgraded this version to 8.1 with
same results. In advanced option I don't have UEFI firmware setting tile. So I can't choose to get to the BIOS with this method. I have tried to go into the BIOS at the boot pressing F2 and many other keys with no result. The OS in both cases 8 and 8.1 hung
several times during the installation process. I had to manually reboot machine during installation several times. After the windows were installed the system still can't shut down or restart normally and I have played with different settings in power / shutdown
option. Please help. I need to be able to access my BIOS at boot or Windows level. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi,
The method to enter into advanced boot option in Windows 8\8.1 is different from Windows 7, pressing F12 during boot may not work because the booting process in Windows 8\8.1 is too fast. Here's an document from Lenovo website:
    http://support.lenovo.com/en/documents/ht081446

Please Note the sentence at the end:  Lenovo preloaded Windows 8/8.1 is set up with UEFI boot. If your computer is not fitted with UEFI boot, you can only enter BIOS setup or UEFI firmware via  the traditional method.
that means If you installed Windows 8\8.1 the U/EFI way you should be able to access UEFI options,
To check if you boot UEFI way, run in admin command prompt:
    bcdedit
    for example:
    If path ends in
.efi - you boot U/EFI way, and path ends in .exe - you boot normal BIOS way.

  • Sent Yoga 2 Pro in for repair. Fedex shows delivered, but Lenovo says it didn't arrive?

I recently opened a support case for my Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro which was rebooting with BSODs due to a hardware malfunction.
    Case ID: 8004208471
I shipped the laptop on Nov. 28th and Fedex tracking shows that it was delivered on Dec. 2nd. However, today the Lenovo Repair Status shows that the laptop still has not reached the repair center. Admittedly, when I sent the laptop I goofed and forgot to include the Inventory Control Sheet so this may be part of the delay.
I called back into Lenovo support yesterday to express my concern and also told them that I forgot to include the ICS. They stated they would have someone call me back. It's only been 24 hours, but I have not heard back and I hear stories of Lenovo support promising call-backs that are never made. I just want to get confirmation that my laptop has been located at the repair center and isn't "lost" in the center.
How long from receipt of the laptop does it usually take the repair center to update the Lenovo repair status with "laptop received"? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I actually sent my Yoga 2 Pro in for repair a couple of weeks ago. It is still being repaired. It was delivered by FedEx on 11/19/14 at 11:00 am, and the Lenovo Repair Status updated to show that it was received on 11/20/14 at 11:54 am. It took just over one day to update. The reason why it has taken two days is probably because of the missing inventory control sheet. Hope that you don't have any more problems!

  • Music videos in landscape mode ever coming back???

Dear Apple, I doubt you'll read this or do anything but I guess it's worth a try.  It used to be that when you played a music video via the musof app on your iphone, it would display the video in landscape mode. Now, extermely inituitively, turning your phone to the side shows a selection of your album covers. No one wants that. I seriously can not think of one person. Looking in your own forums you have questions in 2013 asking to bring this back but no response has been given. That's called arrogance. This is not some big technical ask. It would take you little to no time so what gives? You say you care about the customer experience but between this and the iTunes library syncing issues I am beginning to question that.

You're correct as there is no Apple here in this user to user technical forum.

Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.
Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4928
One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.
