Letter-spacing will not decrease on Edge Animate

I need to add a line of code since it will not decrease the letter spacing to -20px. It only increases on Edge Animate. I was told to add this line of code below -
sym.$("Text2").css("letter-spacing", "-20px");
but couldnt find CompositionReady of the Stage actions. There are files like filename.html, filename_edge.js, and filename_edgeActions.js
Which file above should I add a line of code to?

Sorry I should also have mentioned that you cannot reduce the size of the spacing to less than the minimum it has. 0 is the minimum spacing. Maybe kerning would be acceptable.

Just use different number and see if it makes a difference.
You will also notice that edge does not allow negative spacing in the text tool which confirms what I mentioned above.

Once I have published my Edge content I place it in Muse and then try to preview it using the preview button. It will not work. I increased my font with zoom for the first time & got it too large. It will not decrease using Control & minus sign.

I use Firefox 4. Windows XP. I have tremors & must have accidentally clicked on something that made it open up with weird colors like it was in safe mode. It was in 8-bit so put it back on 32-bit and 1280 x 1024 pixels. Then the font was so small it is almost unreadable. Tried to change it in Firefox Tools, Options, & Content. This did not work. I then used Zoom after checking in Help but got the font so large I can't view my email right. It will not decrease when trying Control with the minus sign as suggested.

Did you change the resolution in Control Panel > Display ?

Actions not working in Edge animate

can someone please tell me why when i try to trigger an action on Edge animate it come up with [Press enter to finish code] then will not let me enter? no matter what i try it will not insert the code!

You should double click the stage in your example above for the action to be accepted in the code window. The same applies for any code you want to add - you need to double-click on the last element chosen.

Muse not translating my edge animate buttons properly

So i created my animated buttons inside of Edge. When i preview in browser all is well. The animation is correct, as are my links. For some reason when I place into Muse Template, I loose the hyperlink. The animation looks good, its just not taking me to the proper page. I would be quick to say that I made an error inside Animate, as I am pretty new to it. However, being that it works properly in the browser, I am believing that the error is within Muse. Thanks in advance for any helpful tips.

Typekit fonts not working after Edge Animate project is published

Hi, I have added Myriad from Typekit to a Edge Animate project and after applying the font it looks great and even when I 'View in Browser' it works fine.
My problem is after publishing, the font defaults to it's fallback font (Serif-Sans) overtime in every browser.
Am I missing a step in the process of publishing?

I'm sorry that you ran into trouble with this. The fonts may not be loading because the published website uses a different domain name than your development site. Please make sure you have added the published/live domain name to the domain listing on your kit.
To add domains, go to https://typekit.com/account/kits and launch your Kit Editor. Click Kit Settings in the upper right corner and add your domain to the domains field, then save your settings. When you're done, republish your kit. The fonts will be available on the new domain within a few minutes of republishing.

Optima letter 'f' will not print

This makes no sense, but ID will not print the letter 'f' captial or lowercase with any degree of consistency. Sometimes it will print it and sometimes it won't. Although it seems to really dislike the 'fl' combination.
The space those characters occupy is just left absent. Beginning of the word, middle doesn't matter. 'Flexibility' becomes ' exibility'. 'After' becomes 'A ter'.
While this appears to be random, when it decides not to print a specific 'f' or 'fl' combo, it will never print it. Deleting the text block and retyping doesn't work. We've even replaced the font file.
What gives?!

The Optima family of fonts is indeed one of the printer-resident font families for Adobe PostScript 3 printers (or printers emulating same). The font in Adobe PostScript printers is Type 1 and sourced from the Linotype library. I have no idea of the lineage of the Agfa Monotype TrueType flavor of this font. However, both Acrobat and Reader download all fonts as part of their PostScript stream regardless of what the printer may or may not have as "resident" fonts. If for some reason, the PDF does not have the font embedded in it, a substitution font is used both for display and print.
You description of what happened when you "checked" the "download PPD fonts" in InDesign's print dialog is very consistent with what we know about expected print behaviour. What is very puzzling is what you are describing with regards to Acrobat and Reader! We need further information. (1) Exactly what printer model or models (not just manufacturer) is the file failing on from Acrobat and Reader? (2) What version of Acrobat or Reader are you using from what platform? (3) Please e-mail me a sample of the PDF file in question so that we can test it out here at Adobe.

Phonegap plugins not work with edge animate CC 2014

I have been using edge animate to create mobile apps with phonegap and until now everything was ok.
Now I updated edge (edge animate CC 2014.1 release) and when I build in phonegap, the plugins (e.g Dialogs) does not work.
Is there incompatibility between edge animate CC 2014 and phonegap or is something missing ?

Promise.done not working with Edge Animate CC(2014)

I have a trigger with code at a label named 'swipe' that is called with promise.done. I am using Edge Commons sample code I found half way down the page at at http://www.edgedocks.com/edgecommons
Anybody know why promise.done doesn't work anymore? It had worked in the previous Edge Animate version. Is there a workaround?

Why is my navbar not loading in edge animate 2014?

Just upgraded Edge animate to the new Adobe Edge animate 2014 but now my navigation won't load in preview browser.

As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

Backup Space Used Will Not Decrease When Photos Deleted

I use the cloud to back up my iPhone 5. I noticed that when I delete or transfer photos off of my phone/delete, and then do another back up, the amount used for that back up does not decrease. I would think taking photos off, which are backed up to the cloud, would decrease the amount of cloud space used since they no longer are being backed up as they are off the phone.
For now, I am deleting my back up after I remove the photos from the phone and making a fresh back up, which of course would not include the photos I removed, and consequently taking up less space in the cloud.
Explain please.

Apple states that iCloud keeps the 3 most recent back ups. You would therefore not expect the size of your back up file to be reduced immediately.

Image spacing - will not butt up against each other

In the site i am creating, i need the shadows to butt up against the other images. I works fine on the left side, where there is only one image. But on the right, where there is 4 horizontal images for the vertical to butt up against, it keep creating this while line or space. I have tried using a table, using a grid , combining the two, i have made sure nothing has borders or spacing and I am running out of patience! Please help! Please note that it work if you are viewing in Safari, the problem is with Internet Explorer, which is the clients primary.

Hello, I looked at your page and experimented some with it. There are several things you need to do to get it work better with IE. These are my thoughts a what I had to do to get it to work.
The page really should have a doc type so it will have some standards and not put the browser in quirks mode.
You'll need style sheets for differnent browsers and coding in the head so that browsers can use the relative style sheet. Search for browser specific style sheets. MS has some html and css info at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa155110.aspx
Probably should put all your styles into external style sheets.
Grids create problems, so l would not use the grids.
Make both shadows the same size dimensionally
All numbers have to add up with some adjustments just for IE, therefore the reason for separate style sheets.
It will also work as an all table layout with some attention to detail. You can see a screenshot of a table layout at

Letter "E" will not work and the phone is very slow.

HI Everyone,
I would greatly appreciate the help of anyone who can help me solve my issse with my phone. i have a blackberry 8520 which was working great until yesterday.
Now i cant do the following:
1. Press the lettee E as it does not work
2. The ALT key when pressed does not work which means i cannot use a comma, full stop etc..
3. The phone seems to have a life of its own where it automatically speed dials the no 2 (letter E key) wheneever i just scroll my finger on top of it.
4. It also is quite slow and keep coming up with the jar telling me to wait. This is not soo much an issue, but just means i have to wait for the processor (in the phone if any) to get its act together.
i would really appreciate any insights you may have available.

Have you tried updating your software? The issue with the keys will either be a software issue or an issue with your hardware, if you're on the newest software try re-installing it. It's very simple to do using the desktop software, if this does not work it seems to be a hardware issue, meaning repair or replacement is needed.
Also, updating/re-installing your software should also resolve any slow/freezing issues and hopefully stop your dialling problem.

The letter "o" will not type either lower case or capitals

I have a lab full of Intel iMacs and lots of little fingers that randomly hit keys on keyboards (elementary school kids). I have one computer that won't let the key of "o" work.
I have switched keyboards - so it is computer not keyboard
I have checked/reset all the shortcut keys
I have checked/reset all the speech recognition-universal access keys
Updated Firmware
Repaired HD
I would attempt to re-image, but my server connection is not working for deploy studio
It is all users - and my admin password has an "o" in it so I have been using ARD to control machine
Any ideas out there??

Go to the flag up on the right side of the menu bar and select Show Keyboard Viewer: is the o working on the virtual Keyboard?
In addition to the Restore Default button for Keyboard Shortcuts, there is also a Restore Default button in System Preferences Keyboards > Keyboards > Modifier Keys... that you might want to check.
