Libvirt-lxc No valid cgroup for machine // systemd-nspawn
I am getting mad at trying to set up correctly a arch linux container on my guest with libvirt (LXC left me with a broken set up too).
Here are some basic info:
- custom kernel with user space set
- host up-to-date
- guest mounted on my root fs /dahlia <---- Is it Ok or shall I mount to /machine/dahlia?
- virsh uri is set by default to virsh -c lxc
- systemd cgconfig.service is disabled
- controllers are automatically mounted in /sys/fs/cgroup

There is no subdir machine-dahlia.slice in /sys/fs/cgroup/systemd/machine.slice. Is it OK ? I would say there need one.
I can start the container this way :
gabx@hortensia ➤➤ ~ # systemd-nspawn -bD /dahlia
BUT not this way :
gabx@hortensia ➤➤ ~ # virsh start dahlia
error: Failed to start domain dahlia
error: internal error: No valid cgroup for machine dahlia
I can't figure out where does this cgroup issue comes from.
Thank you for help

If it can help, here is part of the output of systemd-cgls:

In this case, I started systemd-nspawn on tty3 when sudoing, outside any X session
What surprises me is I was waiting for the container be registered in /sys/fs/cgroup/systemd/machine.slice (no dahlia.slice inside) and not in the user-1000.slice/session-3.scope dir:

Oui is valid but for a machine type other than current
Hi all,
I am installing SAP ERP 6 on a Windows 2008 r2 server. I have Intel Xeon CPUs 64bits. However, as I start "oracle Universal Installer" (ou)i on it, I got a message that says "that oui is valid but for a machine type other than current". I guess is beacuse of the CPU, but I am not completely sure,
Thank you in advanced for your helpSame question of thread:

Could not find a valid Java virtual machine to load
On a fresh copy of CFMX8, when I run updater 7, it responds
'Could not find a valid Java virtual machine to load'.
This is being installed on a Win2K3 server and this is on a
'freshly minted' POC box solely for the purpose of
installing/testing CFMX8 to determine how it compares to our
CFMX6.1 environment.
You will notice that it is NOT being installed in the default

I do find it curious that I can run the Updater 6, and it
seems to behave properly (it finds the VM). I ran it just as a
test, then wiped everything to start over from scratch. For some
reason do I need to direct Updater 7 to the installation that I did
not have to do in Updater 6?
Thank you in advance for your assistance - Jacquestried executing the following cmd, below is the following error:

What Certificate store is used for machine certificates
I have a requirement to have windows 7/8 users connect to the company network using VPN & IKEv2.
I have a RH Linux 7 firewall/authentication server that the windows clients will connect to via a vpn.
I have generated a self-signed Certificate Authority, and a client certificate. (using NSS & certutil)
I have configured a VPN/IKEv2 connection on my windows 7 client system.
I have selected "use machine certificates" on the security tab.
However when I attempt to connect to the Linux 7 server. Windows returns a 13806 error. The windows process
for locating the certificate cannot find the certificate. (I used mmc to install both the CA certificate & the client certificate)
So I wondering since I specified the use of machine certificates, perhaps I've installed the certificates in the wrong "store".
Is there a special "store" for machine certificates?Hi MeipoXu, many thanks for working with me on this issue.
Thru some trial & error testing I determined the Local Computer store "combo" that DOES NOT generate
a 13806 error (cert not found) is to import the client cert to the "Personal" store under "Local Computer"
and import the CA into the Trusted Root Certificates store, also under the "Local Computer"
However I still get the 13819 error Invalid Certificate Type. When I attempt to make a connection over vpn.

So after a response is received from the Server (to complete the SA Initiation)
Windows then "looks" for a cert to send to the server.
It appears initially it can't find one because 13806 errors are reported (Frames 5 & 6)
However the session does not issue an 13806.
It goes on to Frame 7: Note the function IkeEncodeCertChainIkeV2 detects the invalid cert type
Frames 8 thru 14 are just a repeat of the same error.
Could this be a flaw in the windows VPN logic ?

Hi I have a valid subscription for the Times/Sunday Times when I open the app it asks me to restore - it then says I have no valid subscription
What can I do to fix this issueTalk to the Sunday Times. I cannot imagine why you have this problem unless you are approaching or have hit the renewal date. Try here ...

System.log shows (every 3 minutes): no valid selfIDs for more than 2 min
Besides having to live with A LOT of USB 2.0 problems since the upgrade from 10.4.6 to 10.4.7 (like may other people reported) I also noticed a lot of errormessages in /var/log/system.log, that have to do with the Apple 6 port Firewire/USB2.0 PCI card.
When starting up the system a line gets written that says like:
Aug 3 18:08:44 localhost kernel[0]: FireWire (OHCI) VendorID 10b9 ID 5253 PCI now active, GUID 0030bd05 18000d15; max speed s400.
Then, when the machine is properly running the log continues:
Aug 3 18:11:34 server kernel[0]: FireWire (OHCI) VendorID 10b9 ID 5253 PCI: no valid selfIDs for more than 2 minutes after bus reset.
Aug 3 18:14:46 server kernel[0]: FireWire (OHCI) VendorID 10b9 ID 5253 PCI: no valid selfIDs for more than 2 minutes after bus reset.
Aug 3 18:17:57 server kernel[0]: FireWire (OHCI) VendorID 10b9 ID 5253 PCI: no valid selfIDs for more than 2 minutes after bus reset.
etc. etc. etc.
That is about 1 line every 3 minutes.
I only have 3 USB2.0 drives connected to my 6 port card, no Firewire devices!
After trying all suggestions found on the Apple-site I simply kept getting these errors until: I plugged in a 'Target-Disk-Mode' PowerBook over a Firewire cable. Then the errors stopped showing up and the interface appears to be happy. I can even remove the PowerBook from the Firewire port now without getting any errors! So, a workaround is to (temporarily if you wish) connect a Firewire-disk to the card. That will stop the errormessages from showing up.
The solution has to come from Apple. Empty Firewire ports should be allowed to 'not send any valid selfIDs' ever... -

how can i stop an error message that comes up when i am using word? the error message is "word is unable to save the Autorecover file in the location specified. Make sure that you have specified a valid location for Autoreover files in Preferences,…"
It sounds like if you open Preferences in Word there will be a place where you can specify where to store autorecover files. Right now it sounds like it's pointing to somewhere that doesn't exist.

I really need help with this! I have a valid Serial # for Adobe Acrobat XI and it shows on my account with Adobe. When I try to install on my new hard drive it says that the serial # is invalid.. I tried to install the free version to get me out of a jam and it keeps saying that it failed!!!! What can I do?
I am on Windows 7, and I was on Adobe.com. I went to downloads and clicked on Acrobat XI standard. It downloaded. But when I went to run it said Acrobat XI Pro and would not accept my serial number. I have done this now 4 times. I think that the system is downloading the wrong version. I am getting very frustrated and unhappy with Adobe!!!!

Validation option for Vendor payments
Hi Everybody,
We have about 150 vendors for whom we make cheque payments (manual payment processing). Now, we started implementing online payments and currently we are making online payments for about 30 vendors. We want to create validation process for these 30 vendors in payment transaction code F-58 not to allow for cheque payment processing. If these vendors are selected in t code F-58, an error should be thrown saying these vendors are not for cheque payments. Please advice on this option in SAP in detail.
With best regards,
Hemanthhi

Process_order api - Validation Failed for Field Bill To
I am relatively new to the EBS world and I'm having some issues with calling the OE_Order_Pub.Process_order API. When I call this API I am getting a return error of "Validation failed for field - Bill To".
For a background...I have an APEX application where users can choose parts from a small part master list to add to an existing order. The existing order will not have a status of Closed or Cancelled and there will be atleast 1 line in the order before the new parts are added. The parts will be added as new lines to the order with some of the new line data defaulting to the same information as the first line. I am using EBS version 12.1.3 with a multi-org setup. It seems that the orders under one org (id=3) are working fine, but another org(id=569) they never work and keep getting the error. I am setting the context to the org of the order and initializing the apps user information with the responsibility "Order Management Super User".
Do you have any idea what could be wrong or how I can debug the error to get a little more detail?
Here is the procedure I have.

Jonathan HartHello,
Try the following
1) Check if any processing constraints are applied to customer/location
2) Try to create a new customer and associate internal location.
Create a new order to reproduce the issue
Thanks

Internal order valid only for a given period
Dear All
I s there are way to maintian a validity period for a statistical order ??? We want our marketing budget to be broken down based on the month, based on an internal order which is only valid for a month.
Thank you
GayaniHi,
Go to KO02, enter to the order, then Menu - Edit - Lock - Set (to unlock Menu - Edit - Lock - Undo).
You can do it also for multiple I/O via KOK4.

"not a valid location for linked resource" in Flash Builder 4.7
Hi,
I'm constantly running into the problem, that Flash Builder simply won't let one create a linked resource that points to a location on the same drive?
I'm getting the infamous
"...not a valid location for linked resource..."
error message.
I'm using FB 4.7 with Flash Professional CC.
Is that supposed to work at all?
I've 1 workspace where I've successfully created a linked resouce - but it fails for all others. Even when I'm setting up a new WS.
And it's totally unclear to me why it had worked there but not in all others that I'm trying to create.
AndréA year later, but I'm facing the same bug.
If your ever found a solution I'd be glad to hear.
I filed a bug with more details and my own workaround:
