Lightbox widget youtube videos
How do I use lightbox (or another widget if there’s a better one) to show youtube videos with thumbnails and a popup video player?
Place the composition widget "Lightbox display" onto your page and place the YouTube widget into the lightbox.
To get thumbnails, use an image (perhaps a screenshot of the YouTube movie) and fill the lightbox triggers with it (Fill command in the upper command strip)

How Do Embed a YouTube Video into the Video Gallery Lightbox Widget
I just downloaded the VGL widget at Video Gallery Lightbox | Exchange | Adobe Muse CC . I'm able to change the picture but have not figured out how to embed the video. The instructions say it can be changed "via an "insert html" but when I do this I just get another video inserted into the page. Help!!!
Select the composition and go to composition options > enable "show lightbox parts while editing".
Now select the target container and remove existing video and insert video html in that container. This way you can change the videos.

How to add a video to a lightbox widget
Hello!
How do you put a video in the muse lightbox widget?You can drop a video player widget right into the target area of the composition. Or better yet, you can use a dedicated video gallery if you're looking to use lightbox displays for video thumbnails. Something like these:

Problems adding YouTube videos to a Clearbox 2.0 Lightbox
Hi -
I'm still fairly new to web design and Dreamweaver CS6. I am trying to put some YouTube videos into a Clearbox 2.0 Lightbox -- seems like a very elegant and effective way to display the videos. I have used the Clearbox 2.0 Lightbox successfully with still images/jpg files. When I try to use it to link to a YouTube video, however, I get a blank white box when I test it online. I know that it is possible to display YouTube videos in Clearbox: the example file includes a YouTube video, and it plays when tested. Here is the code that is included in the example file:

I have tried creating a sample file in Dreamweaver that has nothing in it except the Clearbox widget and these two videos. The one with the pre-written YouTube link works, the other doesn't. What am I doing wrong? Or better, how do I do it right? Very grateful for any help that can be offered!
- RobThank you for the response, Sudarshan. I did not have the page online, and in the process of trying to put something together to upload for you, I figured it out. For the benefit of others who may run into the same problem, here was the solution.
In the code above, I was removing the sample YouTube http:// link and replacing it with the YouTube http:// link that I wanted. However, there was one more step that I needed to do. In that link, after http://www.youtube.com/ you need to replace watch?v= with v/ . Once I did that, everything worked like a charm! -
Youtube widget produces videos that don't work correctly when played in iWeb
Get a flashing video when embedding a Youtube video in an iWeb window using th Youtube widget.
Video plays OK in Youtube.
Used iMovie to prepare the Quicktime movie and used settings recommended for Youtube uploading.The YouTube widget stopped working when MobileMe was discontinued 2 years ago. The widget needed the MMe servers in order to work.
To add a youtube video go to YouTube and get the embed code for that video. Back in iWeb use a regular HTML widget with the embed code.

I am trying to add lightbox widget to my site but its not working NEED HELP
i can create the light box widget as a new page but when i paste the codes into the actual site it will not work and the images will not enlarge
what or where did i go wrong. This is all the codes for the site including the lightbox widget. i can use all the help i can get even if some one or anyone
can show me the corrections i need to fix that would be great i am using dreamweaver cs6 incase you need to know...

Embedded Youtube videos not working in Chrome or Firefox?
I have embedded some YouTube videos into Lightbox widgets and they play fine on IE and Safari but not on Chrome or Firefox. The poster of video shows but you can't click on it. Didn't know if Java Script was required but have it enabled on all Browsers.

Problem inserting ANY content into Lightbox Widget
I'm trying out Muse. So far, generally impressed EXCEPT for Lightbox widget.
I'm following the Adobe Muse Training - Building your first website in order to see how the program works.
So far, I have spent over 3 hours trying to insert video into the widget and am about to give up.
With Widget inserted and trigger defined, I click the widget, "Widget" appears in the Selection Indicator. I click again, "Container" appears. I click again "Container" appears again and inner container shows blue selection lines.
Now, whether I go to Object > Paste HTML or just right click and paste inside the selected container, the result is the same - the video is pasted on the page itself, NOT in the container.
I have read, re-read, re-did, started from scratch, restarted my computer and I'm going crazy. There should be no reason why it does not work.
It should be like selecting a div tag in Dreamweaver to select the entire tag or element and place inside.
Any ideas? Help!

As an additional oddity, I WAS ultimately able to insert the video file into the lightbox, but only after the video appeared (maddeningly) on the page. Then I dragged the video image into the inner container. THEN it worked. But why I have no idea.
Lightbox widget needs some SERIOUS fixing.Content can either be created inside the lightbox widget container or it can be added to it.
When creating new content like a rectangle or textframe, it should begin somewhere within the boundaries of the container.
When adding/placing content it can either be dragged into the container or pasted into it. When pasting, make sure that the correct container is selected.
Content added using "Insert HTML" is added to the page first. You can then either drag it into the container or cut it, select container and paste it there.
You can submit a feature request at http://forums.adobe.com/community/muse/ideas for the "Insert HTML" content to be added directly to container - when the container is selected at the time of pasting/adding HTML content.

I bought the new, and my first MacBook Pro 13" a little over a month ago for college and love it, but have started to realize a couple problems I can't seem to solve. The bottom of the MacBook becomes very very hot in a short amount of time, and I really don't think I'm doing much to cause it. Another issue is while I watch a Youtube video in HD, even if it's completely loaded, it skips every so often and is slow and also makes my computer very hot. When I try to scroll up and down to view a web site, it also sometimes skips. I really never thought this would happen to Apple computers and hope someone can help me fix these problems! The widget that works well on your Dashboard is called IStat Pro, It monitores all running statistics updated every 15 seconds. Your fan always runs at about 2000 RPM and will increase up to 6000 RPM after 140 degreesF and higher is reached. This widget will show you continuos measurements for you to see

Fan starts to make loud noise when watching youtube videos
Hello there, I have been having a problem with my Macbook Pro for a while and I hope I can find some help here. My Macbook Pro has the problem that when I am watching youtube videos and I have the fullscreen option on, if the video is lasts, say more then 4 min or so, then after a while the fans start to kick in and they keep getting louder and louder for no reason.
It also does this sometimes when I open the spotlight to search for something, although that hasnt happened as much lately. But this is really getting annoying, I mean, why would a simple video from youtube, make the mac go all crazy as if I was rendering or exporting video, its nuts. I have all the updates installed too.
I also went to an Apple store, and of course when I try to show the person the issue I have, the macbook pro works just fine! Its somewhat random. I told the guy that I have Applecare and if they could just hold onto the machine and test it out themselfs and the guy tells me, that I have to pay THEM for this service if they dont find anything. What the? Is it my fault if the issue doesnt come up during their suposed testing time? What if they just dont do anything to it, and then say they dont find anything, and im suposed to pay for this even though I have Applecare? There must be something wrong.
Anyway, I really appreciate any help and guidance I can get on this issue. Btw, my Macbook Pro is the second generation one, the one with Intel Duo Core 2, 2.33 ghz, 2 GB ram and the ATI video card. I also recently ran Disc Utility from the install disc and I repaired some issues on the HD, but its still the same.

I have just downloaded the iStat Widget and I noticed that the fans were at about 2800-2900 rpm and the sound wasnt noticable, I then played a youtube video that lasts for 5 min, although already on the 1 min mark the fans were getting louder when running in full-screen mode. I then checked iStat and it peaked at around 5994 rpm. I then stopped the full screen viewing and it went back to 3000 rpm after a while, and now it seems to be locked at 2400 rpm.
What I dont get is, why is it that when I play videos from my hard drive and watch movies, even in full screen mode, it doesnt get near 5990 rpm at any point, at least I dont notice any loud fan sounds. Although that has happened when I watched a HD video from my desktop that lasted about 6 min, but the fans didnt go as loud as right now.
Also, a few days ago, I was playing a small flash game on the net, and I got the same problem with the fans as with the youtube videos. I read that youtube uses flash, is this right? Could there be something on this? I have downloaded the latest flash player version though, so I dont know whats going on. -
Youtube Video in iWeb "html Snippet" is Blank?
The html Snippet Widget shows an unhappy face icon when I publish the site to the internet in preview form. In iWeb itself the video shows up as a blank box on my site when I load the "embed" text from the Youtube video into the black box window and hit "apply".

I can successfully load the Youtube Widget but I dislike the 4 x 3 format with excessively large top/bottom black bands and control bar. I prefer the 16 x 9 format of the html Snippet, but it needs to function.

DanOkay, it is simple. The video will not work because there are mistakes in the code that you have posted - if the code is incorrect then it won't work.
Where you have src="//www.youtube.com/embed, the code should in fact be as follows:
src="http://www.youtube.com/embed
I have just opened iWeb on my Mac and copied and pasted the code, but then changing it to http:// and the video works perfectly - comes up with someone in a canoe and is entitled River Discipline. -
The easiest way to put a YouTube video in iWeb...
Whew! I am so stinkin' proud of myself. Now this tip isn't for you techno gurus out there. This is for the person who is as clueless about half the files on their computer as I am.
I have a blog. I tried to use iWebMore...I've tried iWebEnhancer...etc, etc. I just can't figure out how to import YouTube with those. I've got major iDisk issues that I cannot identify much less resolve.
So here's the tip. A couple weeks ago I downloaded a widget called TubeSock for YouTube videos. I finally opened it up to see what it was and guess what? All you do is copy the url of the video right into Tubesock and "save" it to "video for Mac" and "add to movies folder." Ta-da! So then in iWeb you just insert a movie clip and it's right in there. Drop and drag!
If you download TubeSock for free, then it only records 30 seconds of the video. But registering it for $15 lets you download the entire video. (Some of us will pay anything for easy!)
Let me know if you're as happy about this as I am because I cannot BELIEVE I figured something out on my own!!!

http://web.mac.com/franke5Great find Gina. The best thing about using uTube on your site is that it doesn't use up your bandwidth. And I can also tell you that once you figure out how to do one thing with iWeb the rest comes very easy. Hopefully in the next version of iWeb you will be able to add a piece of HTML code right in the site, rather than having to add it post publish. Keep up the good work!

Adding a youtube video in iBook Author
I am trying to add a youtube video to my template in iBook Author. What is the easest way? Thanks
I don't have a way at the moment to upload. I tried and had a few others try while watching the video and still the same result. When you go to preview the button is present and does launch a blank lightbox without content(youtube video). The youtube video that was drug into the light box displays all the time unless you select the light box trigger and then the light box pops up over the video. I think what is happening is that the video is not inside the container. I have tried several times selecting the container, button as in video and inserting the <iframe embed code but still have the same result.

Placing YouTube video on a page
Well, I hope I'm not loosing my mind. Here is the thing - I want to put this video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkopkUPF-M8 on my page via iWeb. Here is what I'm doing
1. Drag and drop the widget
2. Copy and paste the video link code
3. Click on Apply
4. Publish site (locally as I really don't want to place the site pages into a folder, I love it in old fashioned way - all files in root folder and so I publish pages with CyberDuck)
5. Publish the page with CyberDuck
6. Result - locally I can see the video, online - not. When I open the page source code here is what I see - for some odd reason the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkopkUPF-M8 has been transformed into http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/TkopkUPF-M8 - No Wonder browser do not want to interpret this linkI've been having the exact same problem trying to post this video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Elh3yWTlcUw - on my website. I'm following the exact same steps as AriteD, and when I publish the video using CyberDuck, all I see is a gray box where the video should be. The source code is there, and it looks exactly the same as other iWeb sites I've seen that use the widget to add YouTube videos, so I have no idea what is wrong. I also tried modifying the html file directly to get rid of the extra backward slashes, and that didn't help. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Trouble Embedding Youtube Videos in iWeb '09
I am trying to embed a Youtube video into my webpage but when I click on "add html snippet" or drag the youtube widget onto the page, all I get is what looks like a text box without the area to add the embed code. I had no problem with this in '08 but '09 will not recognize any of the videos that I had previously embedded.
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Try the following:
1 - close iWeb.
2 - delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your Home/Library/Preferences folder.
3 - go to your Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete the contents.
4 - reboot.
5 - launch iWeb and try again.
