Lightroom 3.0 Develop Issue: Can't Access Develop Module

Hello.  Need to tap you guys' expertise!
Went into develop module on my Lightroom 3.0 run on Windows Vista.  Did some editing with the color, closed the color I was working with, opened and used a new color, went to erase and the pic disappeared!  Screen faded.  I closed the program, re-entered my LR and this message showed up on a wide empty screen:

I exited the message box and went into my Library.  Then, after finding pics, hit the develop module tab, would not come up.  Same message appeared.  I can access everything else in my LR but the develop module.  I have tried to reboot the computer and re-access LR, not successful as message still appears.  Tried closing and re-opening LR, but the same thing happens.  Not sure what happened as this never happened to me before.
Can anyone offer any insight as to what may have happened and what I can do to fix this problem?  I am pulling my hair out as I have pics to finish and cannot make any changes on any of them!  Ugh!  HELP!!!!!     Grrrrrr...........

Just wanted to point out that re-installing Lightroom hardly ever solves a problem.
Updating to the latest version usually will do.
Should the preference file deletion not solve the issue, try to create a new catalog and just import the images you need to get ready urgently.
Better to start over with them than not getting anything done.
You can always import from this partial catalog afterwards, when you  will have restored the rest.
This should address catalog corruption.
For same root cause you could also try your last backup(s) of catalog.
User presets could be the culprit, as well (move them hiding from LR).
Worst case: LR is an early detection means for damaged RAM...

    My problem is I can't use JCo to access the BAPI developed by myself, but can access the default BAPI like BAPI_COMPANY_GETLIST.
    These BAPIs developed by myself can be tested in BAPI Explore correctly.
    But It can't work in java program using JCo. (can't work means it can run without any bug and I can set values into ImportParameters, but I can't get ExportParameters and Table Parameters)
    It sounds like the BAPI can't access remotly but I'm sure that I set the "remote enabled" in attribute tab.

    Here is some part of my source code. The biggest problem is I can't retrieve the returned internal table, but if I change the function module from BAPI_ZAB02_TH2 to any other default function module (like BAPI_COMPANY_GETLIST) and I can retreive the returned internal table....

  • Strange WLAN issue - can't access secure sites

    Hi!
    I've just bought a Toshiba L100-120. Everything is fine except the following.
    I can't access secure sites with the built-in Intel 3945abg device. Other sites are OK.
    If i connect LAN, everything is fine. If I insert my PCMCIA-wireless card, also everything works. The only problem is: to access secure sites with the Intel wireless device.
    I already changed the drivers, I tried everything. It's very strange :(

    Im a little bit confused. Do you mean the secured WLan or secured internet websites????
    If you cannot enter the secured, encrypted WLan you need to enter the right key.
    In other case if some websites are not displayed you could try to change the IE privacy settings for the Internet zone.

  • Acrobat 8 standard installatio issue: can't access \startup

    I attempted to install Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard (Italian) on
    several Windows XP clients, but I get a message saying "Impossibile
    accedere al percorso di rete \Startup" that sounds like "Impossible
    to access the network path \Startup".
    I made several tests and I can confirm that:
    - The Office installation path exists in the registry and is
    correct
    - The user attempting to install have administrator rights
    - The folder \Startup exists inside the Office installation
    path and the user can access it
    - No roaming profiles are implemented
    How can I troubleshoot and solve this issue?

    John, thank you for your time. I did bring up the task manager, but acrobat does not appear under the applications tab. I have not had this problem in the past and feel that Acrobat may be corrupted. I would like to remove it completely and re-install. Do you have any suggestions on how to remove it? It is non-responsive using control panel/add-remove programs and I can not find an uninstaller in the Adobe folder C:/Program files/Adobe.

  • LR trial expired, purchased CC, but still can't access Develop module

    Hi, I had a trial version of LR, which expired.  I purchased CC, and when I launch the desktop app, beside LR, it says trial expired, and prompts me to Buy.  But when I click Buy, it correctly says I've already bought it.  LR will open, but the Develop module is disabled - it says I need to renew my membership to reactivate Develop module.  I've been all over the FAQ's and this board and have tried various things, but nothing has helped. Any ideas?

  • Can't access SLIDESHOW module.

    When attempting to access the SLIDESHOW module I get the error message "an error occurred when attempting to change modules.  This occurrs when using either the main task bar at the very top of the page under "WINDOW" or the horizontal list of modules near the top right of the page.

    This could be due to a corrupt Preference File. This file can go "funny" and is then responsible for all kinds of strange behavior of Lr. The remedy is replacing the Preference File.
    BTW: Re-installing Lr does not replace the Pref. File since it is designed to "survive" upgrades.

  • How can I access SCXI module serial numbers programmat​ically?

    Hardware traceability is a necessity in my industry, so I need to be able to track the SCXI modules used in a test by stamping the serial numbers on the data files. I am able to do this for the DAQ devices, but I cannot find a way to do this for the SCXI modules. I am using LabWindows/CVI with NI-DAQ 7.0 traditional.

    You cannot "access it" at all using a serial number.
    Please explain what you are attempting.

  • SQL 2012 R2 - SSRS with the Report Server Web Service URL, can't access

    I am installing Dynamics CRM 2013.  When I am on RS Configuration manager; I am running into the SSRS (SQL 2012 on Server 2012)SQL issue, can't access the
    http://servername/:80/ReportsServer or
    http://servername/:Reports web pages
    The database server has SSRS native mode installed, it is using a domain account for the service credentials.  This account also has permission to log on a service in the GPO
    Account is a domain admin and is a local administrator
    SQL server is 2012 R2 on Windows Server 2012.  User base is less than 60 people and they have SharePoint 13 on the same SQL server.  Server more than enough resources.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    According to your description, you could not access
    http://servername/:80/ReportsServer or http://servername/:Reports web pages from Reporting Services configuration manager, SSRS in configured in native mode and the account you used is a local administrator.
    In Reporting Services, URLs are used to access the Report Server Web service and Report Manager. Before we can use either application, we need to configure at least one URL each for the Web service and Report Manager. If we are using the Reporting Services
    Configuration tool to create or modify the URLs, we can accept the default values for a URL or specify custom values. When we create a report server URL, we must specify the following parts: Host name, port and Virtual directory. In order to improve the efficiency
    of troubleshooting, I need to ask several questions:
    Since the default URL is http://<computername>/reportserver, did you type the URLs manually? or the URLs configured in Reporting Services configuration manager are
    http://servername/:80/ReportServer and
    http://servername/:Reports?
    Could you provide detailed information of error log(default location: %programfiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS11.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\LogFiles)?

I told the genius bar what happened, and I already did the so called "steps" that apple reccommended on the site, which was reset network settings, restore iPhone. The genius bar gave me a replacement phone, so I was expecting that the problem would be over, but it isn't. It seems that it's iOS 6.1.3 which is the case of most public complaints on apple iPhone products. Not even 3 weeks after I got the phone replaced, it is doing it again, so I suspect I'm just going to get a replacement again? Unfortunately I only have until 5th of july 2013 until my 1 year warranty is up. After that, any issue I have, I have to purchase apple care. People are expecting this problem to be fixed but I don't see it being solved any time soon. This is horrible and really low, because I have been a good customer, when I talk to the people at the genius bar, I show the utmost respect I can to them for the work they put into their job, but somewhere there is a problem where something has gone wrong. Because of that, people that only have a one year warranty (which i received because I purchased my apple iPhone at an Optus outlet, once that one year warranty is up, I have to pay for a problem that isn't even my fault? That isn't how it should work, you should be fixing this problem so people can be happy customers and leave happy.     My iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, and iPad 2 are running 6.1.3 with no such problem and the same with the overwhelming majority of iOS devices running 6.1.3.

  • How do I access my CC files using Lightroom 5 so that I can edit photos from desktop or laptop

    Very frustrated. I am not sure if this is a question about 'syncing' (since it's apparently not available to everyone - though this wasn't mentioned when they sold me on their subscription), about 'work flow' (what ever that means), 'catalogs', 'libraries', 'collections', 'folders", 'importing' or 'exporting'.
    All I want to do it to be able to move from my desktop in one room to my laptop in another (or on the road) and be able to open up and edit the same group of photos that I managed earlier to upload into files on the <files> section of the CC panel. I watched a vdeo about 'syncing' using CC for Photoshop but I think this is for presets. Which begs the question, can you do the same for lightroom 5 presets?
    In looking at my screen with the CC panel on it and clicking on <Files> so that I am sure I am typing about the correct features, I now see that the 3 file folders of photos I dragged and dropped into it earlier today is now missing my files and is displaying a message that says "Coming Soon: Creative Cloud will sync files between the cloud and your desktop". Where did my files go?
    Now I am even more frustrated.
    My questions are now:
    1) How do I access the cloud, where my files should be, when using only Lightroom?
    2) Do I have to import photos into Lightroom on one of my 2 computers first, then transfer them to the cloud, before I can also access them on the other machine?
    I am not sure if this information matters, but I switch between a desktop and a laptop throughout the week. Both are Windows. I also use an external harddrive to store my photos on. It would be nice if I didn't have to unplug the damn thing and carry it with me from location to location.

    In short - no.
    If you are using iPhoto to manage your photos for you, use iPhoto to retrieve  them.
    There are many user-friendy ways to access photos in iPhoto, but if you simply want a set of nested folders with photos, don't import your photos to iPhoto.

    While in the process of paying for my items in my cart, I received a website message saying something
    To the affect that this website is being updated. Your items in your cart will be in your cart.
    Then the website's screen kicked me out the door.
    A few days later I accessed the main page of this website with no problem.
    I can read the information on the main web page pertaining to items I need to purchase, etc., with no problems.
    I click and maneuver from on one tab to another from the main page within this website with no issues.
    When I click on the "SHOP section(tab)" within this website to complete my purchase.
    Part of this website an error occurs on this "SHOP tab".
    "Safari can't connect to the server".
    Safari can't open the page "https://and the name of this website" because Safari can't connect to the server "www.the name of this website".
    I click on the reload from the view of the toolbar and I can't access this website's"Shop section(tab) at all.
    I e-mailed the webmaster of this website a few times, but no response.
    In the past I was able to access the "Shop section(tab") within this website many times to purchase items with no issues.
    Now I am at my wits end as I really need to complete my purchase from this website.
    I cannot purchase these items from other websites. Only this website.
    So, I really need anyone's tech expertise to help me access the "SHOP" tab within this website.
    I also have another website that i have visited numerous times within the last 6 months with no issues.
    Now I can't access this website at all.

    No issues with:
    * Comcast tech says that My modem, Wi-Fi connections are fine.

  • Have trial version of lightroom images display in library and 'before' in developer, but can't display full image to develop.  Shows as a blue box with a white X on it.

    I have downloaded and installed Lightroom for a 30 day trial. Library works fine, but when I try to edit images in Develop, I can't see the full size image just a blue box with a white X on it.  If I switch on to Before & After mode, the image displays fine in the before, but still just blue box in the 'after'.  Can't find any answer to this anywhere!  Please help as my trial days are running out.

    Also with the brush tool the erasure option does not always work.

    Hmmm, I was just trying to solve this exact problem - a cathedral bell tower against an overly bright, plain sky.
    A partial workaround: in order to darken the sky, I applied a negative exposure gradient to the whole area, including the tower. Then use the Adjustment Brush to re-boost the exposure just in the tower area - using auto-mask. This works to counter-act the original exposure darkening, but of course this "antidote" gets applied uniformly across the masked area, rather than in a gradient. Better than nothing. To approximate a gradient, I guess you could move down the tower creating multiple Adjustment Brushes, each applying slightly less "counter-action".
    But I can't figure out a similar workaround if the original gradient had a color tint. How do you "counter-act" a color tint? Setting it to White seems to do nothing.
