Limit on ICL per NP per satellite when using bundled ICLs

Hi supportforum,
(IOS XR Configuration 4.2.3)
configuring an ICL with Bundle-Ether for nv satellite I received the following log message:
LC/0/0/CPU0:Feb 10 04:48:01.671 : ifo_ea[201]: %PLATFORM-PLAT_ICPE_EA-3-ICL_PROVISIONING_ERROR : Nv satellite interface provisioning on Interchassis Link(ifhandle 0x8002360) failed. Limit is 1 ICL per NP per satellite when using bundled ICLs for that satellite. A different satellite can still have a member link on the same NP
I can't find any documentation about restrictions or limits for NP configuring ICL bundle-eth.
Are there, in fact, any limitations about NP?
Tanks

This restriction was lifted in 4.3.1
Thanks,
Sam

  • Difference in volume per song when using on external audio

    Hi,
I just bought a dock for my iPod mini to connect it to my audio system, so I can play my collection of songs on there. I found that you can no longer adjust the playing volume through the iPod when it is connected through the dock, but that you need to use the volume-controls on the audio system instead.
Because there is a lot of difference in volume between all the different songs I have stored on my iPod, a lot of switching of volume needs to be done, and I used to do this with my wireless remote I bought especially for this purpose. Now, however, with the dock connection, I can no longer use this method and need to adjust the volume on my audio-system every time.
    My question is:
Is there any way to override this, and if not, is there a practical way of "leveling" the volume on all my songs so I do not have these big differences?

I didn't say it raised sound levels; I said it leveled them.
And sorry, you're wrong about your second point. You have to enable the feature on both iTunes and the iPod for it to work. See this snippet from the iPod mini software v1.4 release notes:
    Sound Check
    Available settings: On, Off (default)
This setting only works if you enabled the Sound Check feature in iTunes before synchronizing the audio files to iPod mini. When Sound Check is On, iPod mini adjusts all song volumes so that they all play at the same level.

  • How to limit row number per group without change new page in crystal report

    Hi All Expert,
Is there any way to limit row number per group without change new page in crystal report 2008. The reason i do that is due to customer using printer EPSON LQ 300 (dot matrix) always will print in landscape if detech my layout in landscape. Because they need the record always print in 1 page (Letter size) for 2 groups and each group must show 5 records. Example:
But, in CR2008, if you set the row per group from group section expert, definitely it will change to new page, but I do not want it change to new page. Any Idea?
    In one page (Letter size):
    Group Name: Customer-ABC
    NO  INVOICE  AMOUNT
    1)   INV001     USD100
    2)   INV002     USD100
    3)   INV003     USD100
    4)   INV004     USD100
    5)   INV005     USD100
    Group Name: Customer-ABC
    NO  INVOICE  AMOUNT
    6)   INV006     USD100
    7)   INV007     USD100
    8)   INV008     USD100
    9)   INV009     USD100
    10)  INV010     USD100

    Hi Angie.....
I guess it is not possible.
Because if you have one common group for all the 10 records then in one page it will show 10 records under one group.
I mean i think it is not possible but m not completely sure......
    Lets wait for expert advise....

I suspect Spotlight is showing you the PGA plus the entire mapped portion of shared memory or the total of all shared memory pages visited. On HP-UX these are the kind of numbers you would get from ps, which may be Spotlight's source for the data.
The glance utility of HP-UX is a more useful way to obtain detailed information on process memory usage.

  • Email notifications per email account, and bundled together? (former Android user)

    Hello there,
I made the switch from an old HTC Android to the new iPhone 5S two weeks ago and the one thing I cannot configure to my liking is email notifications in the notification center. I have multiple email accounts that recieve a moderate volume of emails on most of my accounts per day and need a quick way to view the activity of a given email account, not the app. I currently use two email apps as follows:
    Mail - iOS7 native app
    x2 Exchange email accounts
    x1 Windows Live email account
    x1 Yahoo email account
    Gmail App
    x2 Gmail email accounts
I have configured the notification center to notify me for all but the yahoo email account. The problem I have is that the notificaiton center only shows X number of recent emails (selected in settings) the APP has recieved, and does not say which email account it is, or how many extra emails on top of X that I selected were recieved. My phone is on silent 24/7 and the only vibrates for phone calls and text messages. I will periodically check the notification center throughout the day and use it as a summary of what has happend since the last time I checked.
On my Android, each email account would have two lines in the Android Notification center. The first unread email on an account would use those two lines to tell you the subject line, time recieved, email account, the total number of unread emails, and the app. Once that account gets two or more emails, it simplifies to say the number of new messages, time the last one was recieved, the email account, the total number of unread emails, and the app. What is really nice about that setup is that each email account had two lines in the notification center, no matter what, and at a quick glance I can see which email accounts are really acitve and I probably need to check on. If one email account was really active and I wanted to check on it, I could select the single notification for that account and it would take me to the (already updated) inbox where I can quickly browse to see what all the emails are about. At this point it may sound like it is just different and I just need to get used to the iOS7 interface, but let me share an example where iOS7 lets me down, and Android has done well for the last couple years:
During M-F from 8-6, my two exhange accounts and one of my gmail accounts are the only accounts I care about. One exchange account receieves 5-20 emails per hour, and the other exchange account might recieve 1-5 per day. Only a small percentage of those 5-20 emails need a priority response, but the account that gets 1-5 per day are emails that I need to know about and respond to right away. What happens in the iOS7 notification center is that I may not even see a notification for the email account that gets 1-5 emails per day, and if I do, it only tells me the sender, subject line, and some of the body if I allow more than 2 lines - it does not specify which email account it was sent to. I can choose 1, 5, or 10 emails to be displayed for the Mail App in settings, but the 5-20 emails I recieve can bump the 1 important email from the one account out of the notification center.
Is there a way to configure notifications per email account, and bundle all the recieved emails (by saying "# New Messages" or similar) on a given account into 2-4 lines? My ultimate goal here is to not lose a notification on one account due to the high volume of another, but to also keep them concise enough that I don't need to scroll through a massive list of notifications like one giant inbox.
I would appreciate any tips or advice to configure the notification center better for my use case. Thank you!

Yeah.. I have problems with all apps that have notifications.
Forget the Google Gmail example.. I'll use imo, Groupme, and Facebook as examples.
I see the notifications. But when I open the app, it won't show the newest received messages. It will take a few second before the app would refresh.
With my Android experience, all apps would update with the new information in the background. It appears that even though the apps are running in the background in iOS, the actual app appears to be paused until you reopen the app. That's when the app will refresh with the new information.

    Hi,
There are more than 9000 programs and classes where field PERNR is used.
You have to be more specific with your question.
You can see all programs where PERNR is used by starting transaction SE11, enter data type PERNR, display and then CtrlShftF3.

  • Bulk Collect into is storing less no of rows in collection when using LIMIT?

I have written the following anonymous PL SQL Block. However, the line dbms_output.put_line(total_tckt_col.LAST) gives me output as 366 (in DBMS_OUTPUT is SQL Developer) which is correct when no limit is set. If the limit is set to 100 in the FETCH statement then dbms_output.put_line(total_tckt_col.LAST) gives me 66. What I am doing wrong here?

Did you test it? All you demonstrate is last batch has 4 rows. But you print it outsite the loop. This way if last batch is incomplete (has less than limit rows) your loop doesn't process last batch. Assume you want to print enames:

As you can see, it didn't print last batch. Why? Because NOTFOUND is set to true if exact number of rows you asked to fetch was not fetched. So last batch has 4 rows while code asks to fetch 5. Therefore, NOTFOUND is set to true and code exits before processing that last batch. So you have to repeat processing code again outside the loop:
    DECLARE
        CURSOR cur_total_tckt
          IS
            select  ename
from  emp; -- I have a total of 14 records in this table

        OPEN cur_total_tckt;

        END LOOP ;
        FOR v_i IN 1..total_tckt_col.count LOOP
          dbms_output.put_line(total_tckt_col(v_i).ename);

But you must agree repeating that processing code twice isn't best solution. When using BULK COLLECT LIMIT we should exit not by NOTFOUND but rather by collection.count = 0:

  • Satellite A500-1GL: Is it advisable to remove battery when using mains

I know this is a silly question but its actually something i don't know so thought i would ask.
I nearly always plug my notebook into the mains power supply (Sat a500 1gl)
Just wondering do you actually have to keep the battery installed even when using mains.
Or is it actually advisable to remove the battery when using mains?
I did not know if the battery should always be in place.
    Thanks for your help
    torti

I use notebooks for 10 years now and i have changed several of them. To be clear I use it daily for my business and it is always connected to the mains but I have never removed the battery.
At the moment I use 3 years old Satellite P200. Battery was never removed but if I try to use it on battery power supply I can work almost two hours without problems. Satellite A500 is one of the newest notebook models with battery of the latest generation so it is not so sensitive as old one and I don't think you must remove it all the time. What you can is to use it from time to time on battery only to make it empty and make full load again.
Many people here have different opinion and at least it is your decision what to do.

    Thanks

    Hi,
Sadly, there is no way to do that in Kodo currently. The closest is the inClauseLimit DBDictionary setting, but that setting just breaks things up into multiple IN statements put together with an OR clause. In your case, it looks like the network transport, not the SQL parser, is complaining about size limits.
You could force the query to run in-memory, but that would probably be prohibitively slow, unless the data set that you're querying against is relatively small.

  • I have to pay per month for using airport express?

I have to pay per month for using airport express?

You would need to investigate which Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are available in your area. You can then contact them about pricing for their services. Typically, you pay more for faster Internet upload/download speeds.
Most ISPs will provide you with a modem and get the service established at your home. From there, you would connect the AirPort Express to this modem to provide a wireless network.

    Note:
1)NurseType column always will have Main-Nurse and sub-nurse values. Each ID group will have minimum one main and sub-nurses.
    2) In the above sample date , Id=3 repeated 2 times becoz visitID and date is different.
    3) Also in ID=4(records), even though we have 2 doctors susan and roby we consider them as one doctor becoz NurseType is same(main-nurse).
    4) Values in the comments field will always be 2 doctors , 1 doctor and 0 doctor. Rules for populating this column
      a) In a ID group if Main-Nurse and sub-nurse has nay doctors then will show as 2 doctors.
      b) In a ID group if Main-Nurse or sub-nurse (any one) has doctor then will show as 1 doctor.
      c) In a ID group if Main-Nurse and sub-nurse both doesn't have any doctors then will show as 0 doctor

I had to correct the sample script a bit. The query you are asking for comes after the inserts.
Create table sample ( ID Int null ,Doctor varchar(25) null,NurseType varchar(20) null ,VisitID int null,Date datetime null)
    Insert into sample (ID,Doctor,NurseType,VisitID,Date) values (1,'Sam','Main-Nurse' , 10 , '09/23/2013')
    Insert into sample (ID,Doctor,NurseType,VisitID,Date) values (1,'Tom','Sub-Nurse' , 10 , '09/23/2013')
    Insert into sample (ID,Doctor,NurseType,VisitID,Date) values (1, NULL,'Sub-Nurse' , 10 , '09/23/2013')
    Insert into sample (ID,Doctor,NurseType,VisitID,Date) values (2,'Ryan','Sub-Nurse' , 24 ,'10/29/2013')
    Insert into sample (ID,Doctor,NurseType,VisitID,Date) values (2,'Ron' , 'Main-Nurse' , 24,'10/29/2013')
    Insert into sample (ID,Doctor,NurseType,VisitID,Date) values (3, NULL, 'Main-Nurse' , 35 ,'04/12/2014')
    Insert into sample (ID,Doctor,NurseType,VisitID,Date) values (3, NULL, 'Main-Nurse' , 35 ,'04/12/2014')
    Insert into sample (ID,Doctor,NurseType,VisitID,Date) values (3, NULL, 'Sub-Nurse' , 35 ,'04/12/2014')
    Insert into sample (ID,Doctor,NurseType,VisitID,Date) values (3, NULL, 'Main-Nurse', 40 ,'05/12/2014')
    Insert into sample (ID,Doctor,NurseType,VisitID,Date) values (3,'Greg', 'Main-Nurse', 40 ,'05/12/2014')
    Insert into sample (ID,Doctor,NurseType,VisitID,Date) values (3, NULL , 'Sub-Nurse' , 40,'05/12/2014')
    go
SELECT ID, COUNT(Doctor) DoctorCnt, VisitID, Date
    FROM sample

  • USB mouse will not initialise on boot-up when used via Dynadock on Satellite Pro U200

The USB mouse will not initialize on boot-up when used via Dynadock on Satellite Pro U200. If the mouse is reseated on the Dynadock it works fine. I am using a Kensington Valuoptical USB mouse. I have tried alternative kensington mouse and had the same problem. Can anyone advise how to resolve this issue?

    Hi Jeremy
Unfortunately I have no solution for your issue but it can also be some technical limitation. I am also interesting to buy such docking station and I would like to know if there is the same problem with external HDD or USB memory sticks.
