Limited network service profile using zonecfg
Is there a zonecfg command that will set a local zone up with the limited network service profile (e.g. disable all remote access services except ssh)? In the process of creating scripts to create zones using zonecfg -f zonecfg_command_file, and would like to include this in the zonecfg_command_file if possible. Already know how to setup this profile manually after the zone has been installed and pre booting it.

1. To utilize the KVM, you need to configure the IP management pool - from which the IP addresses are automatically taken from. All IP addresses in the management IP pool must be in the same subnet as the IP address of the fabric interconnect.
2. If you shut down the blade (that has a service profile associated to it) and move the blade to another slot, the service profile will NOT follow the blade. The service profile will have an configuration error saying that the server resource is unavailable. The blade in the new slot will come up as unassociated.

I don't know maybe the way i structure the question is wrong.
The link to the form is going to be on the intranet, the moment anybody is able to logon to his system with his nt userid , he clicks on the form and this form displays his details. i have a database that contain all the staff details but how do i get his nt userid that i'll use to search the database.
A dot net programmer has been able to get the userid and if by monday i can't get the userid i'll have to go and learn dot net or leave the company.

Change Boot Policy and Firmware Version for Service Profile using UCS PowerTool
I'm looking for the PowerTool syntax to modify both of these values on individual service profiles. The documentation behind most of these cmdlests is almosts non-existent.
I believe the boot policy may be able to be changed like this:
Set-UcsServiceProfile -BootPolicyName
As for the host firmware version under the policies tab of the SP... I have no idea what that cmdlet would be.

I want to use Back to my mac. When I try to turn it on, it says "Back to my mac may be slow because more than one device on your network is providing network services. Turn off NAT and DHCP on one of the devices and try again. See the documentation that came with your device for information about turning off network services"
Does anyone know how I do this? I contacted my ISP (Telus in Canada) and they did not know anything (not that they usually do).Why do ISPs insist upon making things so difficult for their customers?

Issue in creating limits value for service PR using BAPI_REQUISITION_CREATE

I am creating a service PR using bapi bapi_requisition_create.I am able to create service PR successfully, but I am not able to set value for overall limit and the Expected value.
I am passing the limits values through bapi, but when I am trying to display those value in the limits tab in ME53N, it gives dump.
Please suggest how can I set the limits value.

Restrict AFP to use a certain network service?
I'm working with a client who has two new (Early 2008) Mac Pro systems, and we'd like to set it up so that internet is accessed over one slower connection (100Base-T), and really large video files are shared via another connection, like Gigabit Ethernet.
Accordingly, is there any way to restrict through which of the networks services AFP is offered and requested? We obviously don't want the video files to try and transfer over the slower network, nor do we want the office-wide internet access clogging up the data-transfer gigabit LAN.
We have a small DSL router that will be parsing out the internet LAN, and have a separate Gigabit switch in place to connect to the second ethernet port on both Mac Pros (which will soon be extended by another few machines, which is why the switch and not just direct connection). I currently have the internet-accessible LAN on the 192.168.1.x subnet, and the video data transfer LAN on 10.1.1.x.
All that's left is to configure AFP service and requests to only go out over the 10.1.1.x LAN, but I'm having a bit of trouble sussing that out. Any pointers you might have would be most appreciated. Thanks!

The exception to this (for any protocol) is when you have a firewalled interface. then the rules on that particular interfaces firewall will dictate what is and isn't available on that interface. OSX however does not allow such granular control of the inbuilt firewall, so in this case it's on or off.
Regardless of this, it is still route based. If you had a protocol blocked on your 10.x.x.x network and enabled on your 192.168.x.x network, and attempted to connect to it, you can still only connect to it with traffic destined for the 192.168.x.x network. Blocking it on one network does not force traffic to try the other network. Everything is still dependent on following IP routes.
One thing of note is whether you're using a name to connect to the other machine or an IP address. Given that this is a small network and DNS is likely only on your router, trying to connect via machine name could be hit and miss. Try it out with IP address only to test it out and see if you get consistent results. -

Apple support says that an NTFS or exFAT drive cannot be used when connected to the AirPort Extreme.
I suppose it is possible that someone might have been using some type of special software on the drive that might perform a "conversion", but without more details, it is hard to know.
Note: ExFAT and NTFS formats aren't supported.

Track Time Reporting using Att/Abs code 1000 without network/service Order
Hello Everyone,
When I run the tcode CADO, it always shows time reported with Att/Abs code 1000 wherever the time is reported against some service order/network number.
I am specifically interested in those cases where the time is reported against Att/Abs code 1000 but NO service order/network/internal order is mentioned. Some employees have wrongly reported time using Att/Abs code 1000 without network/service order, as they think that the description "Productive hours" for code 1000 means that this hours will "automatically" get charged to some network/service order. We want a report to locate these kind of hours.

than i have tried CATS_DA for any cost center. This transaction gives me report of all the hour booked against this particular cost center.

Can't add a new vNIC for service profile
Hello,
I'm trying to add an additional vNIC for Service Profile.
B200-M3, VIC1240+expander, IOM 2208XP, 4 links between IOM and FI 6248, firmware 2.2(1f).
At the moment 7 vNICs are configured for this service profile. Service profile is associated with blade server.
When I try to add a new vNIC (it will be 8th vNIC), I see the error (see the attachment).
For some reasons separate vNICs are more useful for Hyper-V servers :)

As I read the spec, VIC1240 can support up to 250 vNICs. What is wrong ? How to fix that ?I have seen the VMQ limit being reached when applying the VMQ policy to the vNIC template. Can you try not selecting the VMQ policy for these new vNICs. If this works, you might be reaching the VMQ limits as described below:

How to create a persistent network manager profile with openvpn?
After installing networkmanager and openvpn everything works fine except that the networkmanager profile is not persistent and nm creates and selects a new profile with every boot. I followed Persistent configuration on boot using systemd which creates a persistent profile and cuts out the creation of a new profile, but when I build a openvpn connection it won't change the i.p. any longer. I've been searching for a week, read and learned a lot, but without a solution.
My main question is what's creating and selecting a new network profile after booting? I've 2 fresh installations of Arch and Archbang on 2 pc's and with both the same issue/problem.

Delete Terminal Services profile from custom directory
We have Terminal Servers running Windows Server 2003.
We have TS Profile Path set to D:\TSProfilesXXX1 using Group Policy.
Now, we are planning to delete all the old TS profiles from C:\Documents and Settings and D:\TSProfilesXXX1 folders.
Found Utility DELPROF from Microsoft, however, it works for C:\Documents and Settings by default and does not seem to be working for D:\TSProfilesXXX1.
Any Help here ???

For your issue, you can delete the cached copy of roaming profile by GPO setting. Please check the GPO setting “Computer Configuration | Administrative Templates | System | User Profiles
| Delete cached copies of roaming profiles.”

To manually remove you can also use registry setting. If you’re connecting to a remote computer and not cleaning up a local registry, click on Registry in the File menu and select Connect To Network Registry. Enter the name of the computer you deleted profiles
from and browse down in the registry to these two locations:
•HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Group Policy\
•HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList\

UCS Central: How Global Service Profile match DG
Hi
I'm pretty new to UCS Central and I've got a rudimentary UCS Central question.
I wonder how Global Service Profiles match/relate to domain groups.
To what I've read so far we use different domain groups to apply different operational policies to differenent UCS systems.
How does this relate/interact with global service profiles?
Is there a way to make sure that some service profiles could be associated just to UCS servers belonging to one DG?
Or is everything which is related to global service profiles like MAC-adresses, policies and the service profiles themselves always at the root and therefore can always be applied to all UCS servers managed within one UCS Central installation?

Global Service Profiles fall under the Organization structure. And the Organization structure/hierarchy has no relationship/dependency to Domain Groups.
So limitting visibility of Global Service Profiles/Templates to certain Domain Groups --- no, you'd have to limit them within an Organizational context.
