Dear SAP GURUS,
I need a calirification , I have 2 plants which we assigned to single warehouse no , now i how i create bins i have to create seperate bins for each plant . bcs one plant is phycisal plant other one logical plant .pls help me out.
where we will link plant with storage bin

Hi,
Basically you assign warehouse to Plant & storage location in Enterprise structure-Assignment-LE-Assign WH number to Plant & storage location
Under warehouse you will have storage types & under storage types you will have storage bins.
Bins will be created under storage types & not under plant.Warehouse & storage types will represent for both plants. No separate bins are created for plants.

Though you may not get report for the same , but you can narrow down the check by using the table MSEG or MB51 using the moment types like 311 643 (sd delivery moments )which are for stock transfers .
or if you want storage location stock many reports are available like MMBE, or MB53 etc.

STO between plant and storage location MRP area

Dear PP/DS experts,
For some business requirements, I want to model stock trnasfer order scenario from plant to storage lacation MRP area but the system only make stock trasnfer reservation.
In my EPR system, I maintainted storage location MRP area material with special procurement 45, then the transportaion lane is created between location 1200(location type 1001) to MRP area 1300(location type 1007).
My question :
1) Is it possible to make stock transfer order scenario instead of stock transfer reservation between plant and MRP area ?
2) If possible, Is there something to do more in master data maintenance except mentioned above in ERP ?

Yes you can perform intracompany STO (Plant to plant) and STO at Storage location level at the same time,

Plant and Storage Location determination at Item level during Copy control

Hello Freinds,
We are experiencing issues within Sales Order creation when the line item is referencing a contract. The plant and storage location is being determined from the contract - this should not be done, we have an enhancement in place for sales order plant/storage location determination which is how these values should be determined.
Kindly suggest, if it can be achieved through configuration setting at Copy control level, to avoid the Plant and Storage location determination from Contract in to Sales Order.

You can mention the additional logic of redetermining Plant and storage location whenever copied from contract.
In a sale order, i think you are maintaining a enhancement in prog MV45AFZB & user exit userexit_source_determination.
YOu can maintain the coding at same place.

To control whether a particular storage location will be included or excluded from the MRP run. (MD02/MD41).
To exclude it from MRP run :-
OMIR - Define storage location MRP per plant
Put the MRP ind. as.         1 - storage location stock excluded for MRP
To include it from MRP run:-
OMIR - Define storage location MRP per plant
Put the MRP ind. as.      space - storage location stock also planned at plant level and save it
Next go to transaction MM01 - tick only view MRP 2
Key in Plant and Storage Location
Look at the Storage Location MRP section
change the SLoc MRP indicator to space and save it
MMD1 - Create MRP Profile - MRP profile is a useful entry aid and makes it easier to manage MRP data.
You define which fields are filled with values when MRP data is entered in the material master record, which of these values can be overwritten and which not.   You use the information stored in a profile is standard information that is needed again and again in similar constellations when material master records are maintained.

Storage Type and storage bin in MB26 pick list

Hi,
We want to print a pick list using MB26. The pick list should contain the warehouse number , storage type and storage bin. I have found that in the layout of MB26 pick list, we can pull these fields. However, the values of these fields are not getting pulled in the list.
Can you please help me to understand if I need to do some setting/config so that warehouse number, storage type and storage bin can be pulled in the MB26 report.

if it is a standard output if you go to the output type you can see what are the standard fields included in the pick list but if it is a custom one please contact your functional consultant who designed or look at the spec to see the design/mapping of fields.

Default Plant and storage location for components in MFBF

Hi,
I have 2 plants 1000-procurement plant and 2000- production plant. I am using special procurement key 70( Withdrawal from alternative plant from 1000 to 2000) for components in Plant 2000. The requirements for the components are transferred from 2000 plant to 1000 plant. The 1000 plant run MRP for the dependent requirements and procure the materials and transferred to the production storage location in Plant 2000.The raw materials are purchased in plant 1000 and transferred to Plant 2000 production storage location based on the manual reservations created with movement type 301. This is fine.
But when I do backflush in MFBF the plant and storage location for the components issue are displayed as plant 1000 which is the procurement plant and the production storage location in plant 2000-production plant location. In the BOM the production storage location is production storage location of plant 2000. Since we use the special procurement key system defaults the plant as 1000(procurement plant) insteadd of 2000(production plant). can we make this plant default to the production plant 2000 as default in the MFBF goods issue screen.

Unable to set plant and storage location in Batch as required/mandatory

I am having a problem regarding field controls.
I would like to make plant and storage location as mandatory/required in MSC1N,MSC2N,MSC3N and MSC4N.
I have follow the path below
SPRO-logistics-general-batch management-bath master-field selection batch master-assign field to field groups
What i can see is field groups are being assigned to field name.
My question is, where do we go to to set the field group?

Hi Dex,
You have gone to the right location.
On 'change view field control for batch master record' against each transaction like MSC1, MSC2,MSC3 and MSC4 there are number of dots '............'.
Double click on each dot against the transaction you want to modify. Each dot corresponds to different fields. Over here you can specify wheter you want to make the field required, optional etc.

Creating material in multiple plants and storage locations

Hi Gurus,
I am wondering if someone could help me out in this issue,
I frequently get 1's and 2 materials creation requirement , is there any simple way , while creating material in MM01 , I could create/extend to all plants and storage locations.
I know we can use LSMW , but this is not bulk requirement,it is frequent but in 1or 2 nos.

To my knowledge I doubt if both MM17 & MM50 can meet your need, as MM17 is to mass change the values already existing in the MMR, while MM50 is to extend the views in a given plant & not to extend across plants.
A suggestion would be to use the BAPI's -
BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA Create and Change Material Master Data
BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEREPLICA BAPI for Mass Maintenance of Material Data
Give your requirement to your abaper & inform him / her to use the above BAPI's. I am sure your abaper can write a simple & user friendly program to meet your exact need.

Linkage between PR and Outline agreement

Is there any linkage between PR and Outline agreement
If not how this link can be created in SAP
Suppose User raise PR after that the Contract is raised and has to be released at both levels
That is at PR level also and at OLA level also it has to be released, Is there any setting that i want to release PR and the Corresponding OLA(Contract) i dont want to have the release strategy.
BAsically i just want to have the approval strategy at PR level only.
Also i want the link between the PR and against this PR the OLA created to be displayed in PR.
How it can be handled

I have created PR and w.r.t this PR i have created Contract
Now in PR in ststus tab i can see that contract created but i cant see the Contract doc no (Aggreement)
Where as when i create PO with ref to Contract.....in this case also i m not able to see the PO created for the particular purchase requisiton.
What can be the possible reason
Whereas in case 2 if i create PR and then Contract
then i am creating PO w.r.t Contract..............also i m mentioning PR then it creates the link with PO in PR.. and i can see the agreememnt no also
How to create the link in the above mention case..
Is there any solution so that when i create PR after that Contract is created the that contract no should appear in PR

LT04 - User exit to add storage type and storage bin

I am looking for a user exit to populate the destination storage type and storage bin (Fields-LTAP-nltyp and LTAP-NLPLA). The user uses tcode LT04 to createt transfer orders from transfer requirements.

Storage Bin:
A storage type generally contains several storage spaces or slots. These are called storage bins in Warehouse Management (WM). The storage bin is the smallest available unit of space in a warehouse. The storage bin therefore describes the position in the warehouse where the goods are or can be stored.
Since the address of a storage bin is frequently derived from a coordinate system, a storage bin is often referred to as a coordinate. The coordinate 01-02-03 for example, can refer to a storage bin in row 1, stack 2, and level 3.
You assign each storage bin to a specific warehouse number and storage type according to its location. You must also assign each storage bin to a storage section.
You can also define the following additional characteristics of a storage bin:
Maximum weight
Total capacity
Fire containment section
Storage bin type (for example, for small or large pallets)
With certain stock placement strategies, the storage bin type plays a significant role in optimizing the automatic search for a storage bin in connection with the pallet type. For example, you can define the WM putaway strategy to place large industrial pallets into a specific large bin type and smaller pallets into small bins.
Storage Unit:
In the system, a storage unit record consists of a header and at least one material data record (quant data record).
The header contains information which is relevant for the entire storage unit and includes the:
Storage unit number
Storage unit type (SUT) of the storage unit
Storage bin in which the storage unit is currently located
Status, which provides current information about the storage unit
Specific information about the stock contained in a storage unit is found in the material data record. The material record is already familiar to you in the existing system as a quant data record. For SU management, this information can be managed at the storage unit level.
The following graphics illustrate how WM handles storage bins with and without the use of storage unit management. For these examples, storage bins are displayed in which 200 boxes of red pencils and 50 boxes of blue pencils are stored. The stock is distributed on two pallets.

But indirectly
from SRM org structure -> ex attribute -> location
go to yr desired plant
get all the employees assigned to this plant
In admin log in -> monitor shopping carts
use these employees as requestors
and search
let us know if it suits your need
