Outbound Sales Order - want to restrict line items

Hello,
I  am generating outbound Idocs, from sales order (using ORDRSP) , via message control. (RSNASTED - EDI_PROCESSING)
I have 4 line items in my order, where, item 20, 30, 40 are components(parts) of item 10.  In technical terms VBAP will have UEPOS 000000 for item 10, and 000010 for items 20, 30 and 40. (as 10 is parent item for 20, 30, and 40).
I need my idoc with just item 10. ie, I dont want items 20, 30, and 40 in my Idoc.
Which will be the best way to restrict this ?  I have user exits EXIT_SAPLVEDC_001, which have Tables XVBAP in interface in FM IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDRSP.   Shall I go ahead with this user exit or is there a better approach ?
Please share your thoughts.
Thanks

Hi,
It would be better to use user exits EXIT_SAPLVEDC_002 in FM IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDRSP to delete the unneeded segments in table INT_EDIDD instead of mess around table XVBAP.

  • Create ecatt script for one sales order creation with multiple line items

    Hi ,
I want to create a ecatt script for one sales order creation with multiple line items. Preferably SAP GUI.
This selection of data will be from an external file/ variants which will have only one row of data in it.
Firstly: I have to sort the external file having same PO Numbers in an order.Group them together.
Second: I have to create sales order for those many line items having same PO Number.
    Best Regard
    Taranum

    Hi Micky
Firstl you should upload the Line items for a particular sales Order in an Internal table
and then pass that internal table to your BAPI during your coding corresponding to a particu;lar sales order
In case of any issues pls revert back
    Reward points if helpful

  • Sales order number in customer line item

    Hi All,
we have a requirement whereby we need to get the sales order number in the customer line item. Normally, the sales order number is populated in the GL line item (BSEG - VBEL2). We need to copy the sales order number to the customer line item.
Can anyone let me know if you have worked on such requirement.
    Thanks in advance!!
    Aman Goel

You can map Sales Order number to either 'Assignment' or 'Reference' fields in accounting document using Copy control function in SD. Please use transaction VTFA, this needs to be maintained for combinations of billing type and sales document type. Please ensure these fields are not currently used in your system for other information.
Following fields can be mapped to 'Assignment' or 'Reference'.
    A Purchase order number
    B Sales order number
    C Delivery number
    D External delivery number
    E Current billing document number
F External delivery no. if available, otherwise delivery no.
If you currently use 'Assignment' or 'Reference' fields for other details, you can use user exit EXIT_SAPLV60B_008.

  • Add text for sales order to A/R line items

    Hello Experts:
Does anybody know of a way to add the field VBRP-ARKTX (Short text for sales order item) to the A/R line item display (FBL5N

    HI,
Please explore the option of using a USER-EXIT at the time of creation of Accounting Document from the Billing document. Looks like the field you are interested in is not automatically transferred from the billing interface to the accounting interface.

  • Partial delivery per item in sales order and ATP - schedule lines

    Hi,
I've problem regarding ATP- schedule lines and partial delivery flag.
In sales order there is flag Partial delivery per item B / 1 . That means create only one delivery even with quant 0. That comes from customer master or customer info-record and it is OK.
    Please look at next example.
    Customer requires:
10 PCS of materail A on date X. Only 5 PCS are available on date X.
10 PCS of material B on date X 0 PCS are available on date X, 10 PCS are available on date Y.
So if we create outbound delivery on date X it will contain only 5 PCS of material  A. No successive deliveries will be created for material A because of the flag B/1. That item is closed.
    Problem is with material B.
The sales order will be open because of material B and on date Y we can easily create another delivery with 10 PCS of mat B.
That is wrong. Agreement with customer is only one delivery for ALL items in sales order. If we create delivery on date X it should contain only materials which are available on date X and sales order should close.
Do you know how to fix this problem?

    Hi,
I've think you didn't understand my requirement. I allways get schedule lines but they are confirmed on different dates.
Example in same sales order we have:
    Schedule line for item A:
    DATE X confirmed quantity 10
Schedule line for an item B.
DATE X confirmed quanitity 0 (zeroe)
    DATE Y confirmed quantity 10.
I would like to create outbond delivery on date X with:
    item A quantity 10
    item B quantity 0.
And if that hapens than B/0 rule will work or reference customzing that you suggested before. So order will be closed because all items are processed or referenced once.
Do you know how to do that?
    Regards

  • Error in sales order when selecting a warranty item in configurator 'Please enter required information - Service Reference Type Code'

Error in sales order when selecting a warranty item in configurator 'Please enter required information - Service Reference Type Code'
Not able to book the sales order because of this issue

Order Management does not support the inclusion of optional service items in a configured Model BOM (see Support article #1296751.1 for more detail).  Allowing for such would therefore require customization.
As you've found, there's no modeling restriction that prevents you from creating a Model BOM that includes optional service items, nor is there any problem with creating a Configurator Model for it.  And required service items (such as a warranty item that is a required child of an optional BOM component) do not present a problem; they have nothing to do with Configurator, and would never appear as sub-lines in OM.  The problem arises in OM, which requires that any service item be "associated" to the item it's "servicing".  OM does not automatically make such an association with service sub-lines, even though it might be argued that an association may be inferred by the BOM structure (i.e., OM does not assume that an optional service sub-line is necessarily associated, from a service standpoint, with its BOM parent).  OM customization is therefore required in order to hook any service item up to its corresponding product item.  Many customers who configure service along with product have implemented such a customization.
(Another gap in such a solution that may be relevant to you is that for an included optional service item requiring recurring billing, Order Management does not create the requisite Service Contract.  Customers have likewise developed customizations to address this, as well.)
As this is not specifically a Configurator matter (you could have created your order without using Configurator at all, and you would have experienced the exact same behavior), please do not take my explanation as being either authoritative or comprehensive (I am a Configurator expert, and only knowledgeable enough about Order Management to be dangerous).  It would be advisable for you to seek more detailed information/recommendations from the Order Management forum.

Based on my experience std feature from SD-FI . Depending on the SD Billing config which can be by delivery(VTFL) or sales order(VTFA). You can assign options of A: Cust PO No. B Sales order no. C Delivery no. D External delivery no.  E Actual invoice number to available header fields of Assignment No. or Reference No. Try it out

  • In sales order, what is schedule line

hi i m new to SD, pls tell me
in a sales order created, i can see multiple line items,
what is the meaning of having multiple "schedule lines"

    Hi,
A sales order can have one or multiple line items. As far as schedule line is concerned it can be defined as under:
<b>Schedule line</b> - A division of item with respect to delivery date and delivery quantity.
For a sales order item if there is no <b>schedule line</b> then that item cannot be delivered. When you create the sales order, double click on the line item and go to schedule line. Here for that item you will see details like delivery date, order qty, rounded qty, confirmed qty, delivered qty. While you create a sales order if for a particuler item there is no entry in the conirmed qty column then this sales order cannot be delivered.
    <b>Mulitple schdule lines:</b>
Suppose a line item is having order qty as 20. Today there is stock of only 10. Remaining 10 pc will come into stock on 12/09/2007. So the system will determine 2 schedule lines as under:
    07/09/2007 20 20 10
    12/09/2007 --- ---   10
The 10 pc will be confirmed for today and the remaining 10 for 12/09/2007. This can happen for all items in the sales order.
Unless and until the schedule line is determined the delivery cannot be delivered.
    Reward points if solution helps.

  • Q30: Cannot find sales order for a committed stock item

I have a few item numbers which show committed stock in item master data/stock but I cannot find an open sales order or even with an open line on a closed sales order. I have tried various query reports without success.
Does anyone have a key to unlock this problem?

  • How to identify Sale Order costing is required for Items in Sales Order

Howstandard cos estimate*w to identify Sale Order costing is required for Items in Sales Order?
On which criteria we can conclude Sale Order Costing is reqd ?
? * means what and wat is the purpose and how to chk for the Item in Sales Order, either it is required or not**.

    Hi Dharamveer,
The best way is to make the order qty is equal to the quantity delivered. This way, when some one looks at this order in future - they think that the order was for X and the delivery was for X qty is completed. They will not know the background of the issue unless they go through change log. Even in change log, they see that the Ord qty was adjusted, but may not understand why?
The good practice is to make order qty equal to already delivered qty.
Create a new line for the remaining qty and reject the same with appropriate reason for rejection. This way, any one can understand the background , the reason for rejection easily. Hope it helps !

  • Calculate sales tax based on all line items on the order

My users have asked to determin tax on the sales order, based on all the line items on the order. For example, if all the items are for product only, or if all the line items are for labor only, or if there is a mix of product and labor,
    Order 1
line 1 product flag as both for vertex
line 2 labor flag as both for vertex
    Order 2
line 1 product flag as product only
line 2 product flag as product only
    Order 3
line 1 labor flag as labor only
line 2 labor flag as labor only
I do not see away to do this while the order is being created. In the order 1 example above, line one is entered, priced, and taxed as product only (it is the only line on the order at that time and it is product only). Line two is entered, it is marked as both. But I cannot send line item one back through vertex marked as both. Vertex processing is already complete.
I have looked at using both FYTX0001 and FYTX0002. With both of these exits I can only work with a single line item, i.e. once item one is processed it will not go through the exit when item two is added.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Hi WCG,
Our business is located in California as well. California is a modified-origin state, where state, county, and city taxes are based on the origin of the sale, while district taxes are based on the destination of the sale. You only need to add Sales tax when your customer's billing address is in California. I do not believe that Catalyst currently supports district based sales tax. You could look into a third party solution like TaxJar and see if it could be integrated into Catalyst. We currently charge our California based customers exactly what we would charge them in our retail store.
So you want to do something like this:

  • Re-open EDI - ORDCHG for outbound sales order

    Re-opening post
    Hi Experts,
I am trying to capture the changes done to a sales order
in SD and outbound the information changed in the sales order?
I was thinking that ORDCHG was the correct message type.
But seems that this is used for captureing purchase order changes instead of sales order change.
I know I can send a new idoc with ORDERSP but I want to capture what information was changed.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Rolmega,
There are two options to send out a IDOC when there is a sales order change.
You need to do the message control customization and user exit programming in such a way that it triggers the output only when there is some change with the sale document.Tiggering output can be controlled for specific fields like 'Inco terms' (Header level) and 'Quantity' or 'Schedule lines' (item level).
Generating an IDOC for a change can be controlled via this mechanism. This method we have already implemented for the requirement like this.
The problem is generated IDOC would not only contain the changes done to the sale order. But this can be very well handled that at the other end by simply updating the sales order information based on the sales order number.
(ii) In this method you can have a custom table to have all the changes done to the sales order. All the changed information can be captured at the user exit MV45AFZZ and updated with the custom table which you could for sending only the changed information to the sales order.
With this method you can have a better control about sending the changes only once.
If you are using CDHDR,CDPOS table how would you exactly captutre the information which have not been previously sent.Selecting the values from change documents table would affect the performace considerably. If you decided to go with the change document option then use function module 'CHANGEDOCUMENT_READ'.
I would suggest you to take up the option 1 which is easy to implement ( Will guide you if you are intrested) and can be controlled in a better way.
    Thank you.

  • Sales order with more than 9 items causing problem

    Hi,
    I have a situation here.
A sales order is created in the system and since it is order related billing so its billing document is also generated. The billing document is not relevant for accounting. So, the only 2 documents are a sales order and its billing document.
Due to some technical restrictions,if the number of lines is more than 9 the printout wont come.Henceforth, the user is unable to take a printout so I need to give him a solution.
    What shall I suggest him?

    Hi,
    >So, my question is that, should I ask the user to create a credit memo wrt the billing document and then split the sales order with 2 invoices(one with say 5 and the other invoice with the rest of the quantities)?
So, if my undestanding is right then you want to create a credit memo after invoice ? If yes, then why are you splitting the sales order ? Also, this is something strange kind of ABAP logic which would not allow to print an invoice with more than 9 line items... Now, as you said if your sales order is having more than 9 line items then only print doesn't come.. right ? then in your case at this moment there are only 9 line items so ideally you'd be able to get a print.. right ?
I think there is some confusion out here with your two posts.. kindly clarify...
