LinkBar won't extend the full length of page?

I made a link bar on the left side of my website, and I want
the color that the link bar is (green) to extend all the way to the
bottom of the page, and for some reason DW is making it difficult
for me to do that... does anyone have any suggestions for me?
I'm using DreamWeaver CS3 if it makes a difference. My
current link bar code is attached, and the relevant CSS is at the
bottom.

It's not Dreamweaver that's making it difficult. It's HTML
and CSS doing
it. Try something like this:

  • Gradient background is not extending the full height of the page

    Hi, I'm an extreme novice with dreamweaver - still figuring it all out. I'm needing to edit a website that was set up by someone else and I can't figure out why the gradient won't extend the full height of the page. It originally was fine but when we added lengthier text this problem popped up. I've fiddled with the css but nothing I'm doing is working - I hope it's something basic as I'd like to get this done asap.
    The H1 titles are also centred in their columns despite the css saying 'left align' so this also confuses me - can we get them to be left aligned?
    The URL is: www.petrohamman.co.za
    Thanks!
    Ash

    Did this other person leave to take up another career, because the set up is shocking?
    Amend your body css to as below:
    body {
    margin:0;
    padding:0;
    font-family: Helvetica,arial,sans-serif;
    color:#E6A9CC;
    You don't need height 125% on your #background css selector so either delete it or comment it out using /*   */ as shown below PLUS add overflow: hidden; as also shown below, that will take care of the gradient issue.
    #background
        width:100%;
        /* height:125%;*/
        background: -webkit-linear-gradient(#FFFFFF, #F4DCEB); /* For Safari */
        background: -o-linear-gradient(#FFFFFF, #F4DCEB); /* For Opera 11.1 to 12.0 */
        background: -moz-linear-gradient(#FFFFFF, #F4DCEB); /* For Firefox 3.6 to 15 */
        background: linear-gradient(#FFFFFF, #F4DCEB); /* Standard syntax (must be last) */
        overflow: hidden;
    Amend text-align: center; which is currently declared in the h1 css selector to text-align: left; OR just delete it completely as the default alignment is already set to left.
    h1
        margin:0;
        padding:0;
        color:#E6A9CC;
        text-align: left;
        font-size:30pt;
    Importantly delete height: 500px; from the #content css selector or comment it out as shown below using /*   */. This is important as any information in the 'content' container will not scroll if the height is deeper than 500px, which it will be. The general rule is you should never set heights on any container, only in special circumstances where you know what the height will be or you want to show a restricted area such as a scrolling frame.
    #content
        width:100%;
        /* height:500px; */

  • Why wont the full length of the chapter in my dvd import into imove. Also I tried to cheat by recording it play off my screen and then import that but it wont record it. Any tips please?

    Ive converted my video to imovie compatible format MPEG-4 so why won't the full length of it import into imovie? I cant record it using screen record either, the recording shows me clicking around and trying to record but after a split second of the desired footage shows it then cuts out to white and grey checkers. How can I convert it better or record it when playing off my screen please?

    Do you have a backup that you can restore from? Your old hard drive seems to be the problem.

  • How can I get the full-length ringtone "Calypso" back?

    I recently updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 5. In iOS 5, Apple truncated the ringtone "Calypso." I would like to have the full-length ringtone back, as it is very special to me. Is there any way to make this happen?
    A solution to this problem will be IMMENSELY appreciated.

    I also had my ringtones...bought in Itunes...wiped out.  So I went ahead and bought a new one.  I synced it with the cable, and it is in the playlist as a ringtone.  But when I go to edit the contact, the ringtone doesn't show up in the list.  However, there is a Buy a Ringtone category at the top of the list.
    On the upgrade, I lost a number of paid APPS.  I don't know if its a scheme by Apple to make more money on a free upgrade or they just screwed up everyone with this.

    if the contents are purchases from the iTunes store then you can transfer the purchases from the ipad and put them onto the computer
    go to:

    but if the contents are not from the iTunes store(3rd party) than you may have to use extraction software to pull those files out of the ipad and put them onto the computer

  • Movie on a slide in Keynote doesn't play the full length

    How do I get a embedded quicktime movie to play on a slide to it's full length. (4 min) when the other slide durations are shorter? The movie will only play as long as the delay duration that is set up for the self-playing slide show. Any way around this?

    The trick I've always used is to set the slide's
    transition to start 'Automatically' instead of 'On
    Click', then entered a delay. That seems to nicely
    override the global delay just for that slide.
    Shane
    Shane:
    That works well if you play the slideshow on the computer only. I exported the slideshow as a quicktime movie to burn it to a DVD. It plays the full length of the embedded movie (4 min.), but then delays (4 min.) until it transitions to the next slide. Guess I can't have my cake and eat it too?

    Just upgraded and installed for Officejet Pro 8620. Running with Windows 7, 64bitWhen printing a page that includes a image that was copy/ paste, using the snipping tool into the word document,  it does not print the "full image".  In print Preview the full image appears, but when it prints about 15% of the bottom edge and the right edge of the image is omitted.  This was not a problem when printing from the Office jet 8600.   It is not a problem of page width or length because text is printing just fine.We removed all prior printing software, and re-installed the new printing software, disabled the printer firewall, and problem still occurs.Please advise what other information is needed.  Thanks.

    Delete the incomplete tracks from your library, sending them to recycle bin, then download them again from your purchased history. If the problem persists use the "report a problem" links from your account history to contact the iTunes store support staff.
    Are the incomplete tracks ones that you had previewed before purchasing the album? If so there may be a bug that needs reporting. See this recent post which explains why I ask the question...

  • TS1424 I downloaded the Bowie album "Tonight".  One song, God Only Knows, appears to have downloaded the full length, but it will only play for a few seconds.  Ideas?

    How does one recapture a song that didn't really download, but which the APple Store thinks has been purchased already?

    Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting that track from your iTunes library and redownload it via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes.
    If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if it re-downloads with the same problem then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
    If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • Sidebar isn't full length of page

    Hi, I have a site that has a right sidebar that is not showing the background color down the same length as the left side of the page.  Both the left and right backgrounds should be the same color so I don't think I need to do the trick listed in http://www.alistapart.com/articles/fauxcolumns/.  There must be something basic I'm missing.
    I believe I have a div "mainContent" that shows a background color, and "leftContent" floats left, and "rightSidebar" floats right.  It seems like this should do the trick, but it's not enough.
    I suppose I should have used one of the templates.  (Although everything looked fine until I went to my next page that had a different amount of content in the sidebar.  Doh!)  I've tried to compare to the "two column fixed right header" template, but I can't for the life of me figure out what's the key different ingredient.

    I used to use the fauxcolumns method but found it in some instances too restrictive. For instance I could not use it in case of elastic layouts. The best way round the problem is to set the height of both columns for each page. This also is a pain but at least it is do-able.
    <div id="mainContent" style="height: 300px;">
    <div id="rightSidebar" style="height: 300px;">
    I hope this helps.

  • Photoshop palettes won't extend to full monitor height

    My MacBook Pro monitor height is 900px. And if I start Photoshop on my laptop, and then plugin my external monitor which has a 1440px height, the palettes will not extend to that height. They max out at 900px. If I restart Photoshop while my 2nd monitor is plugged in, they will extend to 1440px.
    Is there a why to fix this without having to restart Photoshop?

    Yep! That's very true, so true. Just quit the program, and reboot and voila it's as if it never happened. I'm glad you were able to get it unstuck, Good work!
