Links that don't open another window

Is there a way or a function that avoids opening another
window / tab when the user clicks on a Flash button that directs to
another webpage? I'd appreciate any help.

I tried using this code-

With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:

Normally, if the songs showed that it is purchased then it is probably already in your library. If not check out the article below to walk you through downloading your past purchases. You may also want to check to see if you have Automatic Downloads turned on so that way next time you can get your tracks without having to plug in and sync.

Wont open another window

I can only open 1 firefox window now @ the time, It wont let me open another window, and if I closed the one that's already opened, I cannot open it anymore no matter how many times I click on the icon. Please help!

I cannot re-open Firefox, or open another window, without rebooting

I get a message indicating that Firefox is already operating and to either close the program or reboot. I cannot access the supposedly open program, nor can I open another window. I am using Windows 7. The problem repeats itself even after rebooting.

Audio stops if I open another window

Is there a reason audition 5.0.2 build 5 stops audio playback when I open another window, like Safari or a help file? This problem develops a few weeks ago.

Finder don´t open the window

my finder in my dock, when i click on it don´t open the window.
only if i press command+n or select a new window.
i don´t now if i made a combination keys and i dont no how to revers it.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.

Changing color on links that have been opened.

I did a search. After opening one of the matches, I expected that link to be a different color. But it's not. Is there a way to changed the color of a link that's been opened previously? Thanks. Becky

It should change to a more purplish color. Did you refresh the original page? That's required before the page updates.

Captivate 5: Crashes when I open another window?

I've been working with captivate 3 and 4 for years, and just upgraded to 5. Usually, when I do my Close Captioning, I open my word document with the "script" and copy and paste the captioning in. Suddenly, Captivate is crashing on me if I open another window while the captioning window is open, or if Captivate has ANY window open other than the main one. This even happened while I was editing/CCing and I needed to open an email! Ack!
Is this a known bug? Is there anyway I can keep this from happening, short of NOT opening other windows while I'm working on a project?

I just upgraded to 6.0 and links that want to open in a new window do not work. Right click and selecting open in new window does work.

Similarly clicking a link in email does not open a window. I can drag the link to Firefox and a new tab opens.
Also clicking Tools -> Add-ons does not open a tab as it used to.

mha007, Thank you. I walked through your suggested solutions and finally disabled all add-ons and restarted them one by one. The culprit seems to be ViewSourceWith 0.8.11. Interestingly when it is enabled I had to go to TaskManager to force Firefox to quit.
Maybe this information will help others. I don't know if the cache clearing etc helped but I would suggest that others start but Bringing up Firefox in Safe Mode (hold shift when you select the icon), disable all add-ons and then start them one by one.
Of course if you have ViewSourceWith maybe you should just disable it first rather than go through the tedium of restarting each add-on separately. To get to the add-ons when it won't open from the toolbar type about:addons in the address area.
