Listener won't configure second application
Using
Glassfish 3.1
apex_listener.1.1.0.60.10.38
first listener context root: /dev name: apex_dev
http://10.45.100.10:8081/dev/listenerConfigure
Works.
deploy second app context root: /test name: apex_test
http://10.45.100.10:8081/test/listenerConfigure
The APEX Listener is already configured. Please login as Administrator to access APEX Listener Administration.
In /tmp there is a directory apex. When I set this up before there were separate directories /tmp/apex_dev and /tmp/apex_test.
Any help in why I can't configure a second listener would be appreciated.
Correct, it is essential to undeploy all previous listener instances, and restart the application server. It is also important to remove any existing apex-config.xml that might have been created in one of the default locations, for example ${java.io.tmpdir/apex/apex-config.xml. If you fail to do either of these then the old configuration will be picked up.
Below are the steps I follow to deploy more that one instance of the listener:
<pre>
unzip listener zip file to some temporary folder (/tmp/al)
cd /tmp/al
mkdir tmp
cd tmp
unzip ../apex.war
cd WEB-INF
# edit the web.xml, uncomment config.dir param, set it to wherever you wish to store the config data e.g.: /home/cdivilly/al
zip -r ../apex1.war .
cd ..
cp apex1.war apex2.war
</pre>
I then deploy apex1.war and apex2.war to the application server in the usual fashion, and finally navigate to http://server:port/apex1/listenerConfigure and then http://server:port/apex2/listenerConfigure

OC4J 9.0.4 won't start web applications after it was restarted even if they marked as to be loaded on startup.
I have following line in my http-web-site.xml oc4j configuration file:
<web-app application="default" name="app" root="/app" load-on-startup="true"/>
and in web.xml (<web-app>/<servlet>/)
<load-on-startup>0</load-on-startup>
But when I invoke following command:
java -jar admin.jar ormi://localhost admin Matrox -restart
my application won't be started after server was restarted... :( If I shut it down and start it then it will be started...
Is this a bug? How can I fix this? Please help! SOS! Mayday! Can you try the "-updateConfig" option of admin.jar?
java -jar admin.jar ormi://localhost admin Matrox -updateConfigTo my vague memory, the "-restart" option does not necessarily implies reading the config files again. -
Trying to install another DB under RAC using SCAN listener on a new port. DBCA gives error "Default listener LISTENER is not Configured in the grid infrasturcture home".
Have tried srvctl config listener, srvctl start listener to start the listener. Still not able to get past the DBCA error. What am I missing? Do not want to start LISTENER on port 1521 as SCAN is running on 1521.No your Database config does use hostname/ip + port or a tns-entry pointing to the local_listener. Neither method does care for the home the listener is running from.
You will however have to take care of the entries in the clusterware, as the listener is a controlled resource. If you manually relocate it, then it will only work until next restart of crs stack.
The simplest way to switch the home is by running first netca from database home and delete the listener and then switch to grid home run netca again and create the listener.
netca will take care of registering it with crs with the correct environment settings. You will have a short period where your rac won't have a listener and therefore won't accept new connections until the new listener is up and running.
Relocating the current listener requires to modify several parameters via crsctl in the cluster registry, but allows doing this node by node without complete outage.
If you want to go that way, then create another listener from grid home and compare the settings of current listener and of the new listener. You will need to update several parameter before you can relocate it.
Run this command to show the current settings and compare it to the listener from grid home:
crsctl stat res ora.LISTENER.lsnr -p
You will need to modify serveral parameters, ACTION_SCRIPT,AGENT_FILENAME,ALIAS_NAME,ORACLE_HOME and the ACL
Modify works like this, for ACL you must use the encasing single apostrophe ' and run it as root:
crsctl modify res ora.LISTENER.lsnr -attr "ACL='owner:oracle:rwx,pgrp:oinstall:rwx,other::r--'"
I would recommend Version 1 if short outage is acceptable. For both variants verify that you can resolve all tnsnames entries in both homes.

Silent database creation won't configure OEM
Hi All,
Windows Vista 64-bit Oracle 11.1.0.7
I am doing a silent creation of the database which creates the database fine but the OEM - Web front end is not created. I have run netca to create a listener before database creation. Here is my exact syntax I am using from the command prompt:
dbca -silent -sysPassword oracle -systemPassword oracle -continueOnNonFatalErrors true -gdbName 11GORA01 -createDatabase -templateName Test11g -emConfiguration LOCAL -dbsnmpPassword oracle -sysmanPassword oracle
If I then use dbca to try & configure the database options there is an error saying there is no appropriate listener found. There is one thing I did notice that when I did lsnrctl status the database name was in lower case and using the dbca the message 'Configure additional components for database "11GORA01" - is in upper case. Not sure if this is the problem.
Any help would be fantastic
Thanks
VicHi,
Silent database creation won't configure OEM
AFAIK, NO you have to configure separately.

Second application using EJB with CMP cannot see SQL Server Tables.
We are running Sun One Application Server 7 V2004Q2 . We are also running Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Driver for JDBC Service Pack 3 Version 2.2.0040 and SQL Server 2000 Standard Edition Version 8.00.818(SP3).
(The 2 applications described below run perfectly fine when run one at a time. The second one fails only when it is started after the first one and it does not matter which one is strarted first..)
Using the above, we run 2 applications that open SQL Server Connection Pools via EJB with CMP. The first application opens the connection pool correctly and successfullly obtains a connection from that connection pool and get table information from SQL Server.
The second application opens a second connection pool to a second database in the same SQL Server. However, when the second application requests data over a connection from the second connection pool, we get an error message that it cannot find the requested table.
In addition, the second application cannot ever see the SQL data until we restart the instance of the Sun One Application Server AND start that application by itself.Yes, they are.

Error while configuring the application server for ESB on Jdeveloper
While i try to configure a application server connection on Jdeveloper for a remote installation of ESB (advanced mode with all the three components together and not in a cluster mode) i get the following error :
Error getting OC4J Process for: opmn-home+oc4j-10.10.36.21-6003-default:
Error connecting to OPMN (is it running?): Connection refused: connect
All the OC4J processes are running on the server as i get the following output for the ./opmnctl status command :
[oraclesoa@esboid2 bin]$ ./opmnctl status
Processes in Instance: home.localhost.localdomain
--------------------------------------------------------------+---------
ias-component | process-type | pid | status

OC4JGroup:default_group | OC4J:home | 9999 | Alive
ASG | ASG | N/A | Down
HTTP_Server | HTTP_Server | 9998 | Alive
The installation is on a Linux box.
I give the following details in the connection properties box in Jdeveloper :
host : 10.10.36.21
opmn port : 6003
oc4j instance : home
Also the opmn port is correct :
[oraclesoa@esboid2 bin]$ ./opmnctl status -port
esboid2:6003
Any ideas on this?

HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911g won't print from applications from IMac OS 10.7.5
Just had a software update today, now it won't print from applications (Excel, Word, etc). I've done all the troubleshooting in the exact orders and have also shut everything down, reinstalled, turned off router, etc. Don't know what else to do. Prints out printer status report, Wireless network test results shows that no problems found, congratulation on the successful setup of your wireless printer. IP addresses on wireless and printer are similar. Looked all over forum, but couldn't find a solution. Printer is not even 2 months old. Doesn't make sense. Seemed to stop printing after we used the scanner, not sure if that is an issue for any reason. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

ATI Radeon 4870 won't detect second display
ATI Radeon 4870 won't detect second display I have a sony that come up as a sdm-hs95p and a asus that i want to connect they both have vga and both have conveters vga to dvi and on the asus it also has a dvi to mini dp because on the graphics card it has dvi and mini dp
You can't use more than one converter per display.
You need to get single converter that connects directly from the Mac port to the display. -
Difference between component configuration and application configuration in webdynpro
what is the difference between component configuration and application configuration in webdynpro?
Hi Rohit,
With the component configuration, you can control the behavior of each individual component within a Web Dynpro application or the user interface of individual views. For each component, several records of configuration data can be created.
Using the application configuration, it is now possible to assign the configuration required in the current application to all the components used.
In short : Component Config belongs to WDP Component and Appl'n Config. belongs to WDP Appl'n.
Check this document for more information.
Web Dynpro for ABAP - Component and Application Configuration

Configuring CIF application log in APO
Folks
I was trying to configure CIF Application log from an APO perspective by specifying a function module and the different table fields.
I configured the same in R3 side using CFC6 but am having trouble finding it in APO
Does any body know how to dod this in APO ?
ThanksThanks for the repsonse folks
I tried /SAPAPO/C41 with detailed option but failed to see the detailed log which I had enabled in R3 through CFC6.
In R3, I enabled field logging for function module CIF_PRODUCT_SEND. In R3 log, I am able to see the relevant fields form this function module that are being sent to APO.
However, I also want to see the log from APO, for the same fields, if they were recieved without any errors or sent to postprocessing.
There is a function module /SAPAPO/CIF_PROD and I need to use the fields of the modules in the APO side CIF logging.is this possible ?
Would appreciate if any one can share their thoughts on how this can be accomplished

Hi,
I installed oracle 10g express edition on Linux redhat 9 and I can't get going with it because the listener won't run.
When I try /etc/init.d/oracle-xe start I get:
Starting Oracle Net Listener.
Starting Oracle Database 10g Express Edition Instance.
Failed to start Oracle Net Listener using /usr/lib/oracle/xe/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/server/bin/tnslsnr and Oracle Express
Database using /usr/lib/oracle/xe/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/server/bin/sqlplus.
I'm pretty new to linux.
any ideas?
cheers :)Hi,
That command didn't work and I can't find the netmgr file so I enabled tracing in listener.ora and got the following:
/usr/lib/oracle/xe/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/server/bin/lsnrctl: relocation error: /usr/lib/oracle/xe/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/server/lib/libclntsh.so.10.1: symbol semtimedop, version GLIBC_2.3.3 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference
Any ideas? -

I have Quicktime HD footage that has been cut into several QT videos that works perfectly (in the QT player) before it is imported into PP. Once I import the videos the audio is slightly off at the beginning of the timeline and continues to get worse
