LO cockpit Extraction Step by step guide and enhancement process

Hi All,
My name is Prathibha and I started of my career with SAP BW. It is my pleasure to get introduced to this SDN World and I am very much impressed with the extent of help that is available here.
Could some one mail me the step by step procedure and the enhancement process (Pls explain with some example, screen shots will be appreciated), the method of populating data into new fields. I went thru Roberto blogs and to some extent i am ok.Pls throw more light on this scenarios from ur experiences.

  • NB 100 and Windows 7 - Searching step by step guide and drivers

    Hello everybody,
im thinking about to install Windows7 on my nb 100. But I have some question.
    1. How can I install the dvd version of windows 7 on my nb 100. Is this tool from Microsoft the right one?
    http://store.microsoft.com/Help/ISO-Tool
    2. Will the Recovery Cd of Windows will work, after I format the nb 100?
    3. Where can I download the NB100 Windows 7 drivers ?
    4. Is there maybe a step & step guide how to install windows 7 on nb 100?
I would be grateful if you could help me
    Marco

    Hi
    1) You can install Win 7 using an Win 7 DVD or you can purchase an ISO file (image) and could create an bootable DVD or bootable USB flash drive.
The NB100 does not use an internal DVD drive. So if you would like to install Win 7 from DVD then you need to purchase an external USB CD/DVD drive. But you could also create an bootable USB flash drive and could install Win 7 from such external USB flash drive.
    2) Yes, it will function. The recovery disk should set the notebook back to the same state like at the first day of purchase.
    3) I think NB100 has not been created for Win 7 because this is a netbook.
Win 7 would not run fast enough of course you could install it but the Win 7 needs a lot of hardware power and recourses like Vista and I assume NB100 does not supports such devices powerful CPU or GPU.
    4) I doubt such instruction exists. I mean the Win 7 drivers are not available for NB100. So how to make a installation guide without any Win 7 drivers??? But as mentioned above; you can install it using external drive. The Win 7 drivers have to be collected at your own hand.

  • GUID and business process and performance

The single object dialog is not the only business process which has to be solved. Much more important are the nextfollowing mass activities of each business process. Therefore it seems to be much more efficent to store data not with a GUID but with a logical key to improve the performance of access during those mass processes instead of collecting all data spread over a extra large file (secondary index is helpfull, but must pick it out too) .
    - Are there any possibilities available to influence the data filing to logical aspects of the process.
    - Are there any time comparisons made between logical filing and GUID filing in mass processes.
    - Are there any tips when to use, when to avoid GUIDs for filing

    Hi,
Both business publisher and process repository are available in CD2 of BPA Suite complete (for windows OS).
Important step before installing the business process repository is that you must have installed the database. Or else you must have installed BPA with OracleLite or XE database. At the time Business process repository installation you need to choose the database option 1 if Oracle enterprise data base is installed, else you may choose option 2 which says you already have BPA installed with database.

  • Step by step guide

Does anyone know if you can produce a step by step by step
guide in captivate? Eg can I link the Microsoft step by step help
file to a captivate movie? I would like to be able to press a "show
me" button at the bottom of the step by step guide and captivate
    demonstrates the action?
Any help would be very welcome.

I'm unsure what you are referring to by "... Microsoft step
by step help file ..." but if you mean MS HTML Help ("RoboHelp"
outputs HTML Help) like Captivate's own Help system, that is
exactly what Captivate is designed to do best.
Which leads me to believe that so far, you haven't had the
opportunity to actually try Captivate, or look at any of the
tutorial movies?? I advise you download the free trial and see for
    yourself.
This link takes you to a
page of available Adobe products for sale or download.
    Hope this helps!

  • Step Group , Monitoring Process and Integration Process.

    Hi Experts,
I would like to when we use Step Group, Monitoring Process and what is the difference of these two with Integration Process. As we can use all the steps of Integration Process with Step Goup and Monitoring Process.
    Regards,
    Syed

    For the Step Group:
You can consider it as a BPM which can be used in another BPM....concept similar to a reusable class :)....So if you have a constant patter of Receive --- transformation -
Send in some BPMs then create a Step Group and include it in the required BPMs...

  • Steps to be followed in lo cockpit extraction

    hi,
i have read help links and so many blogs in sdn before doing lo extraction
right now i need to do init and delta for purchasing (02)
i want to follow these steps
correst me if i am wrong
    step1:
i will fill set up tables for init extraction during that i will stop users for posting documents
    step2
after fillling setup tables, in lbwe transaction i  will select delta mode as 'queued delta' and run a v3 job for every hour
    step3
documents which are new or modified or deleted are collected in lbwq transaction for one hour and transferred to rsa7 as 1 luw
    step 4
when i do delta this luw will be extracted to bw
correct me if i am wrong?
    if this is correct
if i modify my data source when my deltas are running
what should i do in bw and r/3 side?

    Hi Venkat,
To extract data from LO Cockpit follow this steps
    1. Log on to R/3
    2. execute Transaction LBWE (to get in to LO Cockpit)
    3. After u are in LO Cockpit. Expand the desired extract
    structures(eg:SD,MM etc..)
    4. Click on Maintainence to Maintain Extract Structures
    5. Add and remove fields like (MCVBAK, MCVBAP)
    6. Generate Data Source by clicking on the data source and then
    Select/Hide/Invert fields.
    7. Activate Extract Structure by clicking on inactive.( If its already
active you have to deactivate it by clicking on active before step 4)
    8. Then execute transaction LBWG to delete the content of setup
tables(Select the application 01 for sales etc)
    9. Now execute transaction OLI*BW to fill the set up tables ( where *=7
for sales and *=9 for billing etc)
    10. check the data in setup table RSA3
    11. Go to BW and Replicate the Data Source
    12. Maintain the transfer rules, comm struct, schedule infopacks etc...
    13. For delta go in r/3 then LBWE then you application(eg: Sales) and
click on delta and then select DIRECT, QUEUED, or NON SERIALISED V3
And before everything.. after you log on to R/3 transfer the Master
data for your application for Eg: for SD go to SD-IO and transfer it by
using transactions RSA5, RSA6 and RSA3 in that order.
You should fill the setup table in R/3 system & extract the data
to BW .... the setup tables is in SBIW....after that you can do
delta extraction by initialize the extractor.....Full loads are
always taken from the Setup table.
Setup table concept applize only to Lo-Extracion.
    Steps for Lo-Extraction:
    LO-EXTRACTION
    • T-Code: LBWE
    • First we need to check which data source suits the client's
    requirements in LBWE.
    • Check whether it is in Active version/Modified version. If it is
in M version go to RSA5 and select our data source and press on
Transfer. Then go to RSA6 and see whether the datsource is been
    transferred.
    • If the datasource is already in active version then we need to
check whether the datsource is already extracting data in to BW.
    • If the datasource is extracting the data then we need to check the
data existence in Setup tables (use SE11 to check the setup tables
data. For every extract structure one and only one setup table is
generated whose technical name is Extract structure name+ setup, for
eg. If extract structure name is MC11VAOHDR then set up tables name
is MC11VAOHDRSETUP) and Extraction Queue (LBWQ) and Update tables
(SM13) and Delta Queue (RSA7). If data exists in any of these T-
codes we need to decide whether we need the data in BW or not. If we
need the extract it as we do in LO-Extraction below. I f we don't
    need delete the data.
The dataflow from R/3 into BW:
    • We nee to generate the extract structure by selecting the fields
from the communication structure in LBWE.
    • Generate the datasource and select the selection fields,
cancellation fields, hide fields that we want.
    • Replicate it into BW. Then we need to attach Info source(Transfer
rules/communication structure) to the datasource. We got 3 methods
    to attach the infosource..
    1) Business content:: Business content automatically proposes the
transfer rules and communication structure, we don't have to do
    anything manually.
    2) Application proposal: Here too proposal is done but some objects
will be missing which we need to assign in the transfer rules.
    3) Others: here we need to create the transfer structure, rules,
    comm. Strct from the scratch.
    • Modeling like infocube, Infosurce attachment,….
    • Then activate the extract structure.
    • We need to fill the setup tables for the first time loading. In
filling the setup tables we can select between Full load and delta
    initialization loads.
    Filling Set up table:
    T Code : SBIW
    Settings for Application-Specific DataSources (PI)->Logistics--
    >Managing Extract Structures>Initialization>Filling in the Setup
Table -->Application-Specific Setup of Statistical Data --> in that
Youcan perform the Setup (Example : SD-Sales Orders - Perform Setup)
and execute .. or else direct T Code : OLIBW ( means based on your
application like sales order/billing/ purchase etc)• For setup
tables T-Code is OLI*BW where * equals to application number like 02
    fro purchasing,08 for shipment…..
    • First we need to decide whether we want delta loads to be
performed in the future. If we want to do delta loads, then we need
to go for Delta Initialization process or else do full load.
    • When we perform setup tables extraction, since setup tables are
cluster tables, we can't see the data in the setup tables. So we go
for Extractor checker (RSA3) just to see the setup tables data
    (full/delta initialization).
    • Then create infopackage and select Full or Delta initialization in
    Update tab and schedule it.
    • Delete the setup tables data by using LBWG.
    • Now we need to do delta loads.
    • Delta load data flow differs with various delta update methods. We
got 3 delta update methods as u know.
    • If we select "Queued Delta"update method then the data moves to
Extraction queue(LBWQ). Then run Collective update to move the data
from LBWQ into Delta Queue (RSA7). Then schedule the data using the
infopackage by selecting Delta Load in the update tab.
    • If we select "Direct delta" then the delta data moves into RSA7
    directly.
    • If we select "Unserialized V3" method then the data goes
into "Update tables(SM13)", then run Collective update to move the
data from SM13 into RSA7. Schedule the data using infopackage.
    • If we click on Maintenance, we can generate the extract structure.
    • If we click on 2LIS_02_CGR button, then we we can generate data
    source
    • Inactive under Update column: we can make a extract structure as
    active or inactive.
    • If we click on Job control button the we can maintain the
collective update parameters like, start time, and is it hourly once
    or dialy once ……
    • If we click on Queued delta button under Update mode then we can
select among 3 delta update methods.
Only Full/Delta initialization data loads only moves into setup
tables. Delta load data doesn't move into setup tables.
**RSA3 contains only setup table's data
Only Delta update data moves into RSA7/LBWQ/SM13 no full/delta
    initialization loads data.

  • Step by Step Guide Details for RFC to File and File to RFC scenario

    Hi Guru's
Good day to you. I am tyring to develop some scenarios based on RFC adaptor. so i want to start up with basic scenarios like RFC to File  scenario(Here i just want to pull some data from SAP using RFC and put it in destination folder as an text file) and FILE to RFC scenario (Here i just want to take some data from the file and update into SAP).
For doing these scenarios i would like to request you people to send me the step by step guide which explains me about the complete steps of configurations required to do the RFC to FILE scenario and FILE to RFC scenario.
I found some scenarios and i am in confused state. so i request you to please put your experience to help me out.
    thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Raj

    Hi Aaron,
I don't know your scenario and your ECC and PI versions but I learned how to use ABAP Proxy more than 1 year ago with the following tutorial:
Edit--> The forum doesn't allow me to post external link, just search "ABAP Proxy Communication Scenario" in google and visit the 1st result
The way to develop ABAP Proxys has changed a little if your PI is 7.1. In the ECC side, the transaction SPROXY looks much better too if you have a recent version of the ECC.
Edited by: Marshal on Oct 8, 2009 5:08 PM
I've found that SDN Document. Maybe the scenario is not the most simple to start with ABAP Proxy but is very well documented and is for PI 7.1. The document also handles the inbound and outbound proxys

  • I want to update my IPad's operating system but when I tried to so,  I got a message at Itunes advising all my apps would be removed?  Is there a step by step guide for doing this update and retaining my apps?  I am completely lost....

I want to update my 1st generation IPad which has a current OS of 4.2.1 to the latest 5.0 OS.  I tried to do this through my ITunes account but got a warning that continuing would delete my apps, etc.  I don't want that to happen!  I have ZERO tech ability/know-how and need an idiot-proof, step by step guide to performing the update.  Any help most appreciated.  I haven't got a clue how to back up anything on the IPad, either.
    Many thanks!!

First copy any purchases off the iPad to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases. You should also backup the device (right-click the iPad 'device' and select 'back up'), and copy off any important documents, files, notes etc (e.g. by email, the file sharing section at the bottom of the Apps tab on your computer's iTunes, via wifi, whatever the apps that you use support) - the update process should backup and restore the content but it's best to be safe.
There is some more info on this page about updating to iOS 5 : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4972

I was more interested in writing a script in PowerShell to automatically deny Itanium server updates.
Would you happen to know a good article on this?
I believe this topic has been discussed in this forum, so I'd start by searching the forum.
Beyond that, your best friend in PowerShell script efforts is going to be CodePlex. There may be one posted there, already written.
As a technical reference, you'll need to be familiar with the WSUS API, and the
Software Development Kit is available on MSDN.
You can definitely do this with PowerShell. (I actually do it with a feature of SolarWinds Patch Manager which does it via an API call.)

  • HT4759 I am trying to set up icloud on my Macbook. I was using the step by step guide on your site but when I open system perferences I do not have the icloud icon under internet and wireless. How do I get it?

I am trying to set up icloud on my macbook, I was using the step by step guide on the site but when I try go into system perfences in there is no icloud icon under internet and wireless. How do I get it?

This is presumably because you are running an earlier system than Lion. (Please always post your system when you have a question.)
The minimum requirement for iCloud is Lion 10.7.5 (Mavericks preferred): the iCloud Preference Pane does not appear on earlier systems - the MobileMe pane appears on Lion and earlier but is non non-functional - you cannot now open or access a MobileMe account.
To make use of iCloud you will have to upgrade your Mac to Lion or Mavericks, provided it meets the requirements.
    The requirements for Lion are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
    2GB of memory
    OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
    7GB of available space
Lion is available in the Online Apple Store ($19.99). Mountain Lion (10.8.x) is also available there at the same price but there seems little point as the system requirements are the same for Mavericks (10.9.x) - which is free - unless you need to run specific software which will run on Mountain Lion only.
The requirements for Mountain Lion and Mavericks are:
    OS X v10.6.8 or later
    2GB of memory
    8GB of available space
      and the supported models are:
    iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
    Xserve (Early 2009)
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
It is available from the Mac App Store (in Applications).
You should be aware that PPC programs (such as AppleWorks) will not run on Lion or above; and some other applications may not be compatible - there is a useful compatibility checklist at http://roaringapps.com/apps:table
If you are running Leopard on an Intel Mac you will have to upgrade to Snow Leopard to access the Mac App Store - it's available in the online Apple Store. However if you have a PPC Mac you cannot run Snow Leopard and cannot proceed further.

  • The step-by-step guide for installing the Oracle Database and Oracle9iAS Portal

    All,
I made a step-by-step guide for installing the Oracle 8.1.7 database and Oracle9iAS 1.0.2.1 (HTTP Only) install on a 'clean' Windows 2000 machine. The guide has a screen shot of every single step that I went through to get an installation of the database and Oracle9iAS Portal to work.
Because I left my email in the guide, everyone will be sending me email with questions about their particular install. [What I really wanted was some positive feedback email to show to my manager... hint hint.] As I do not want to troubleshoot everyone's install by email, I started this thread.
Let's start the step-by-step install guide discussion here.
As a start, here is what I did NOT want to do with the guide: I did not want to 'redo' the current Oracle9iAS installation guide. So I did not put any conditions in the guide. This is just what I had to do to take a clean Windows2000 machine (no Oracle software on it) and get it to work. If I keep on adding conditions, eventually I will end up with the installation document.
Also, in the next version (for the Oracle9iAS 1.0.2.2) I will probably start over again from scratch as we are planning on addressing some of the issues with the install.
Another thing I plan to do is put the following direct links in:
    Oracle9iAS Portal: Troubleshooting Guide
    Oracle9iAS Portal: Diagnostics Tool
    Oracle9iAS Portal: FAQ
Have a look at the above, as they will answer probably all of your questions... But if not post away!
    Thanks,
    Rich

We do have installed a Lotus Notes LDAP. Unfortunately, the documentation is company internal in German.
    The steps, in general, where:
    1) Create physical connection (obviously, you did that)
    2) Deploy the XML Descriptor for the LDAP under "UM Configuration => Data Sources"
We used a derivate of the Sun One LDAP Profile.
    3) Match the assignement LDAP Group --> EP Role --> EP User via EP user management
    4. The user, in our case, is always created in the LDAP first (from a different LDA administration group) and is then visible in the Portal)
I know, this is very generic, but the "magic" is in the XML profile and I haven't seen any documentation about it yet.
