"load code resource" not loading code

After fighting a long time, finally have a .lsb file.
I use "Load code resource" and don't receive an error nor acknowledgement.  Running the vi comes back with "Object code is not loaded" on that block.
If it didn't accept the code, I wish LabView would put up a message of why it couldn't.  Or even a prompt confirming the code loaded if it did load.
Note: I am using an evaluation version while LabView is being purchased.  Is this why I can't load code?

I did encounter the same problem, where there was no error message but
it was not actually loading my code.  I just tried creating my DLL
in Visual C++ 2003 (I don't have 2005 on my machine) and everything
working fine in LabVIEW.  I followed the instructions found on
pages 3-15 and 3-16 of the Using External Code in LabVIEW document,
which I have linked below:
Using External Code in LabVIEW
I found that I could cause my LSB to fail to load if I skipped step 10
in this document, where you specify the path to the Module Definition
File.  Verify that you have made this change (and all the others
in the procedure), and let us know how it works.

    I am using LV 8.20 and DSC 8.2.  I am trying to create an executable that has the web server running for using remote panels, i have netowrk published shared variables, connecting to a fieldpoint unit, and I am using the NI system tray icon vis to load the program to the system tray.
    I have my shared variable library added as a support file, as well as the lvdsc.ini, and the tray icon files.  I have sleected "Enable Enhacned DSC run time support" in the app builder, did not remove any type def,etc.
    I cannot get the .exe to run on my development machine or another machine, I get the same error.  I tried creating an installer that installed the 8.2 runtime, dsc,fieldpoint, variable engine and manager and MAX.
    I could not find anything in the help files on the dsc, maybe someone else has some hints.  thanks

    Hi Kenny,
    I hope you are doing well today! What is interface 3.vi? Is it possible for you to post your project over here? Also, I would recommend creating a simple DSC application; and would like you to build it. Do you still get errors?

    I have LabVIEW 5.0 - do I need a newer version, or is the file not working? It is for digital IO using the DAQCard-6533. I was given this file by a NI technician....

    Did it ever work on the iBook?
    Is it IMAP or POP account?
    Open Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities, how much Memory free & Hard Disk space does it show?
    Not certain, but this can fix myriad Mail problems...
    Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move these folder & file to the Desktop.

    THIS HAS EVERY APPEARANCE OF A SOFTWARE GLITCH BY APPLE ... So first suggestion is NOT to begin reinstalling various software but to await some answer & fix from Apple.  Too many have same problem on various systems, in my view (I am not an Apple rep but have certainly faced many glitches over the years).
    PS - LOTS of Apple software problems these days, including many people having their Contacts shredded.  What's going on with Apple?

  • IOException: Resource not found - custom class loader needs findResource

    I've been attempting to develop test classes using the PowerMock and Mockito mock frameworks
    I've developed the tests in Eclipse in windows XP (64 bit) and the tests run to completion with passes
    One of the classes being tested references the joda-time-1.4.jar and this jar contains the resource org/joda/time/tz/data/ZoneInfoMap
    I then attempted to migrate the development to running the unit tests in a Windows XP command prompt launched by Maven 2 (mvn)
    With JAVA_HOME set to to a standard Sun JDK (C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.5.0_21), I get the resource not found error for one test only - here is an extract from the exception:

    Running the tests on a unix host under the AIX OS launched with Maven 2 (mvn), I also get the
    Resource not found: "org/joda/time/tz/data/ZoneInfoMap" error
    Just to emphaises, I don't get any error when running the test in Eclipse
    Looking at the discussions page for PowerMock, it seems likely that this may be due to MockClassLoader (which effectively extends ClassLoader) not implementing findResource - see:
    http://groups.google.com/group/powermock/browse_thread/thread/0bba0faa3027026f
    I have contacted the PowerMock developers, but they are very busy and do not have time to look at the problem yet
    However, they have indicated that it would be helpful if I could create a patch for the problem and submit it
    - see the above reference and:
    http://groups.google.com/group/powermock/browse_thread/thread/3002fddca62f7ef5
    I don't have any background of classloaders, and although I've done lots of 'Googling', I've not found anything that I can use
    So my question here is:
    Can anyone
    a) provide a reference that will help me understand what I need in findResource
    OR
    b) provide a sample findResource that I could try in the code
    Thanks for reading and any help

    The JDK comes with most of the Java API source code in a file called src.zip (or something like that.) There should be examples in there.
    You can also download the entire VM source, there might be a couple more in there.
    FYI - do NOT copy the code you find in there. You can reference it but you must create your code from scratch.

  • Labview: resource not found ; Specifically a VI located in my LV 8.2 Project I am trying to download to my FP-2000 and run.

    Hi,
    I am fairly new to the LV Project method of building executable files and embeded applications.
    I have been using LV 7.2 for the last few years and finally switched over to 8.2 this last summer.
    My problem is that I have an embedded application that I need to troubleshoot, but every time I try and run it from my desktop, it hits me with one of these messages:
    Deploying MPPT-Testbed  (successfully deployed target settings)
    Deploying ErrorConvert.vi  (already deployed)
    Deploying FP Close(IO).vi
    Failed to download FP Close(IO).vi
    LabVIEW:  Resource not found.
    LabVIEW:  Resource not found.
    The FP Close(IO).vi is the latest issue, I have had other files that have failed to load as well.  I have attempted to make a common folder for all of my shared VIs, I have 6 FP-2000 controllers.
    Any ideas?
    I run LV 8.2 w/RT on my desktop, my FP-2000 is running LV 8.2, FP Drivers 5.2.0 and FP VI Manager 4.1.0
    -Bill

    Hi Bill,
    Since you produced code in a previous version of LabVIEW, and therefore previous FieldPoint driver version, you will need to revamp your code a little to be able to use it in LV 8.2 with FieldPoint 5.0. I'm assuming that the FP Close.vi is not available in the palette that is not available in LabVIEW 8.2. This is expected, as FieldPoint 5.0 utilizes different VIs than previous versions. Accordingly, you do not need to use the FP Open or FP Close VIs, as they are not available in this driver version. However, you only need to use a Browse I/O Point and either a FP Read, FP Write or FP Read/Write. Generally, a quick modification of your code will take care of this problem. Let us know if you need help with this; a screenshot of your code might be helpful. Thanks!

  • While running servlets getting errors 404 or 505 resource not found

    Hi all,
    I'm novice to J2EE.
    I've encountered a problem while accessing the deployed module in weblogic 8.1 server.
    I'm sure that the webapplication module is deployed as i saw my module in administration console & also the status said that it is deployed.
    when i access my web application by specifying the proper server and port no and context root it is showing
    either 505 - resource not found error(http://localhost:7001/Suresh-2/Suresh) or 404 - not found error.( http://localhost:7001/Suresh-2/Suresh)
    Now let me elaborate what i've done till now.
    My webapplication folder structure is : C:\bea\user_projects\domains\mydomain\applications\Suresh\WEB-INF\classes\Sai\ServExamp.class
    My servlet is ServExamp.java
    I created a folder called "Suresh".  In that folder created another folder called "WEB-INF".  In WEB-INF created a folder called "Classes".
    Since my servlet is in package "Sai", the .class file reside in \Suresh\WEB-INF\Classes\Sai\ServExamp.class
    The source code is :
    package Sai;
    import javax.servlet.;*
    import javax.servlet.http.;*
    import java.io.;*
    public class ServExamp extends HttpServlet
    public void doPost(HttpServletRequest req,HttpServletResponse res)throws IOException
    PrintWriter out=res.getWriter();
    java.util.Date today=new java.util.Date();
    out.println("<html>"+"<body>"+
    *"<h1 align=center>HF\'s Chapter1 Servlet </h1>"*
    +"<br>"+today+"</body>"+"</html>");
    Now i'm almost done creating a web application.  Next, I constructed a simple web.xml descriptor that gives a web friendly name for my servlet, and points to the servlet. I constructed  web.xml descriptor file in the WEB-INF folder (C:\bea\user_projects\domains\mydomain\applications\Suresh\WEB-INF\).
    The web.xml file source is :
    *<!DOCTYPE web-app*
    PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Web Application 2.3//EN"
    *"http://java.sun.com/dtd/web-app_2_3.dtd">*
    *<web-app>*
    *<display-name>Hello World Web Application</display-name>*
    *<description>Test Servlet</description>*
    *<servlet>*
    *<servlet-name>ServExamp</servlet-name>*
    *<servlet-class>Sai.ServExamp</servlet-class>*
    *</servlet>*
    *<servlet-mapping>*
    *<servlet-name>ServExamp</servlet-name>*
    *<url-pattern>/Suresh</url-pattern>*
    *</servlet-mapping>*
    *</web-app>*
    Now I have told Weblogic that the URI /Suresh corresponds to my servlet "Sai.ServExamp".
    My Web Application is ready to be deployed at this point. I logged onto Weblogic's admin console,
    *1) clicked on deployments, then navigated to "Web Application Modules" .*
    *2) Clicked "Deploy new Web Application Module"*
    *3) Navigated to the location of your web application folder (Suresh). There was a radio button next to it indicating that I can select that folder as a valid web application.*
    *4) I Clicked that radio button and clicked "Target Module".*
    *5) It informed that my web application "Suresh" will be deployed to myServer.It asked a name for my web application deployment. By default it was "Suresh"*
    I clicked Deploy.
    *6) After deployment, my web application "Suresh" appeared in the "Web Application Modules" tree on the left.*
    I Clicked on "Suresh"( my web application) then clicked the testing tab, then clicked the link shown there(http://localhost:7001/Suresh-2).
    It was not showing  my servlet (showed a 403 error)
    Error - 403
    This status code is commonly used when the server does not wish to reveal exactly why the request has been refused, or when no other response is applicable.
    I think so it came b'coz I don't have an index.html or index.jsp page.
    *7)Instead,I added my servlet on to the URL it provided.*
    http://localhost:7001/Suresh-2/Suresh
    It is showing these error code: Http: 505 resource not allowed
    The page cannot be displayed
    The page you are looking for cannot be displayed because the address is incorrect.
    Please try the following:
    If you typed the page address in the Address bar, check that it is entered correctly.
    Open the localhost:7001 home page and then look for links to the information you want.
    Click  Search to look for information on the Internet.
    when i just type : http://localhost:7001/   -> Error 404 not found error
    it's showing
    Error 404--Not Found
    From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
    *10.4.5 404 Not Found*
    The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.
    If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.
    I want to run my web application & any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    with regards,
    S.SayeeNarayanan.
    Note: I even deployed my war file, which i got by execution of (jar cv0f webapp.war . ) command from the root directory of my web application i.e. Suresh
    Then executed my webapplication it is showing
    error-505 resource not allowed.

  • MDB deployement error in Glassfish - "JMS resource not created"

    Hi,

  • Message driven bean: resource not created

    Hi,
    I'm having trouble deploying a simple test app that I've created (in App Server Platform Edition 8.0). It contains a servlet, that posts messages to a queue, and which appears to work fine. There is also a message-driven bean that receives these messages, but it will not deploy as is. I would be grateful for any assistance in working out why. Apologies if I'm missing something obvious, but the technology is quite new to me.

    Hi, Joe,
    The message says that
    JMS resource not created : joeMDB
    The command to add the missing Queue:
    asadmin create-jms-resource user admin restype javax.jms.Queue JoeDestQueue
    Please note:
    in your sun-ejb-jar.xml, the real JNDI name for the Queue is JoeDestQueue.
    Double check the namings for the Queue in both ejb-jar.xml and sun-ejb-jar.xml.
    You only need two names for one Queue: one is for JNDI, one is for reference.

  • Nilvaiu Error (Resource not found)

    I have developed an application that uses DAQmx to take data.  While running in development mode, the software works fine.  When I generate an executable and run the code, I get the Nilvaui.dll resource not found error (see attached).  I can turn off my antivirus (AVAST) and it works fine.  Any suggestions other than using a different anti-virus or non at all?  By the way, I already repaired Max and rebooted my computer.  The application is running on the same computer that the development system is on.  I am using Labiew 2014 Pro.

    It looks Like AVAST is stopping traffic on a port needed by your app.  The link above will guide you to drill the right holes in the settings

  • 404 Resource Not Found In UWL for Display Request in Travel Management

    Hi Team,
    Issue regarding Uwl in Travel Management.In Mss inbox when approver clicks on display form for travel request its throwing error like 404 resource not found.
    i have check all uwl iview properties like list actions to be excluded and Xml code etc.
    Regards,
    Venkat.

    Hi Venkat
    I hope you are well and many thanks for using the discussion forums .
    In relation to the scenario that you have described you mentioned that:
    Once a user (via the MSS Inbox) clicks on the display form for travel request you are encountering a 404 resource not found error.
    Ok so the first means of analysis is to ensure the UWL Destination Service Configuration is setup and maintained accordingly. Kindly review and consult the documentation below carefully.
    SAP Note: 1133821 - UWL Destination Service configuration
    After ensuring the destination(s) are setup accordingly and if the issue persists kindly restart the UWL service and clear the UWL cache to see if that resolves the issue.
    In the destination configuration kindly ensure there are no discrepancies or misconfigurations.
    Now have you navigated to your current connector setup and viewed the status columns to see if there are any exceptions appearing?
    Lastly kindly check if the URL being called (at the request page) is correct.
    Kindly update me as per your findings.
    Kind Regards & All The Best

  • OSB JARS Resources not found

    Hi All,
    I'am using Oracle Service Bus 10gR3 on Solaris server. I have two problems related boths to OSB JavaCallout.
    1) When I import a jar file on OSB through SBConsole I obtain that JAR is successfully uploaded, but when I try to view the methods in JAR file through SBConsole, I got the error "Resource Not Found".
    2) When I try to performe a Javacallout i got the following error :

  • Database Error: RSR0009: Resource not available for pool. Wait-time expired

    i am occassionally receiving the following error during database connections in my servlet:
    Database Error: RSR0009: Resource not available for pool [webAdvisorTestPool]. Wait-time expired
    i understand that this is a result of a connection leak from improper closure of my Connection object, but i thought that i was properly closing my connection.
    i can get the error if i do the following steps:
    1) access my login page and enter login credentials.
    2) submit the login which then hits the Authentication servlet.
    3) Authentication servlet authenticates and takes me to home page.
    4) hit the back button to get back to the login page.
    5) repeat this process until i hit the Max Pool Size (from web server).
    6) then i get the error message
    here are some details:
    i have an Authentication servlet; here is the pertinent code from that servlet:
    try {     // retrieve the user and add the User object to the session     DAO dao = new DAO();     Person authenticUser = dao.getPerson(userID, password);     session.setAttribute("validUser", authenticUser);     redirectPage = mapping.findForward("success"); }
    i also have a DAO object that handles all of my DB transactions (and you can see from my code above that the Authentication servlet is using that object); here is the pertinant code from that servlet:
    public DAO() {     datasource = "java:comp/env/jdbc/webAdvisorTest"; } public Person getPerson(String userID, String password)     throws ObjectNotFoundException {     // JDBC variables     DataSource ds = null;     Connection conn = null;     PreparedStatement stmt = null;     ResultSet results = null;     // User variables     Person validUser = null;     try     {         // Retrieve the DataSource from JNDI         InitialContext ctx = new InitialContext();         // if this statement fails, NamingException is thrown         ds = (DataSource)ctx.lookup(datasource);         // get DB connection and perform SQL operations         conn = ds.getConnection();         // User variables         String validUserID = null;         String validFName = null;         String validLName = null;         String validEmail = null;         // get DB connection and perform SQL operations         conn = ds.getConnection();         stmt = conn.prepareStatement(PERSON_QUERY);         stmt.setString(1, userID);         stmt.setString(2, password);         results = stmt.executeQuery();         // iterate through the results         if (results.next())         {             validUserID = results.getString("id");             validFName = results.getString("first_name");             validLName = results.getString("last_name");             validUser = new Person(validUserID, validFName, validLName);         }     }     // handle SQL errors     catch(SQLException e)     {         e.printStackTrace(System.err);         throw new RuntimeException("Database Error: " + e.getMessage());     }     // handle JNDI errors     catch(NamingException e)     {         throw new RuntimeException("JNDI Error: " + e.getMessage());     }     // clean up resources     finally     {         doClosure(results, stmt, conn);     }     // if the user was not found, throw ObjectNotFoundException     if(validUser == null)     {         throw new ObjectNotFoundException();     }     return validUser; } protected void doClosure(ResultSet results, PreparedStatement stmt,     Connection conn) {     if (results != null)     {         try { results.close(); }         catch (SQLException e) { e.printStackTrace(System.err); }     }     if (stmt != null)     {         try { stmt.close(); }         catch (SQLException e) { e.printStackTrace(System.err); }     }     if (conn != null)     {         try         {             System.out.println("R18Resources.conn before close: " + conn);             conn.close();             System.out.println("R18Resources.conn after close: " + conn);             System.out.println("R18Resources.conn is closed? " +                 conn.isClosed());         }         catch (SQLException e)         {             System.out.println("R18Resource conn close error: " +                 e.getMessage());         }     } }
    as you can see, i've added some print statements in my connection closure block. based on my output log, each connection is being properly closed and i am not encountering any errors during that closing block.
    any ideas???

    Please try the following code in your doClosure method. Replace your code with the following code.
    public void doClosure(ResultSet pResultSet, Statement pStmt, Connection pConn) throws Exception {
    try {
                   if (pResultSet != null) {
                        pResultSet.close();
                        pResultSet = null;
              } catch (SQLException se) {
              logger.error( se );
              } finally {
                   try {
                        if (pStmt != null) {
                             pStmt.close();
                             pStmt = null;
                   } catch (SQLException se) {
                   logger.error(se);
                   } finally {
                        try {
                             if (pConn != null) {
                                  pConn.close();
                                  pConn = null;
                        } catch (SQLException se) {
                        logger.error(se);

  • Tomcat v4.1 - Resource not found 500 Error - Help!

    Hi,
    I am a bit new to Tomcat, but have a really quick question. I am trying to deploy a new single class file to an existing Tomcat 4.1 web application, however, I am using Rational Application Developer 7.0 to create and compile the class. When I deploy the new class to the Tomcat 4.1 web application, the page crashes with a 500 error "Resource not found".
    What could be causing this error? When I put the old class back in everything works ok. I have even tried using identical code, so I know it isn't a coding issue. Could it be the JRE being used to compile the class is the wrong type?
    Any help would be much appreciated!
    Thanks :)

    Can you please provide the full error message and stack trace if possible?
    Could it be the JRE being used to compile the class is the wrong type?Yes it definitely could be.
