Load emulator for portal ...

i want to do a regression test for the portal site by emulating the lightweight users and seeing the performance of the site.
anyone aware of any tools which would help in testing this, with the portal. something like load runner ..... maybe.
any ideas ... ?
has anyone does this ... ?

We also used LoadRunner in our performance lab. You can record your script using LoadRunner's vuGen.LoadRunner will capture your hostname, port numbers, user names and internal object ids in the script depending on what the script does. If you intend to rerun the script on another Portal machine or installation you should go through the captured script and replace those values with parameters which you can put in a file. Finding where to get those object id values in another Portal database may be tricky though.

As I understand the Pagelets load in 8.52 using Ajax, but was curious this environment (or any previous version) offers a delivered Ajax loading icon? Class not found Exception for Portal 4.0 console

For Portal questions, we have a newsgroup called
weblogic.developer.interest.personalization that would be able to help you
more on this subject.
In the meantime, it sounds as if the installation of WLS 6.1sp1 wasn't done
properly. I would recommend reinstalling from scratch. Between the
installation of WLS 6.1sp1 and WLP 4.0, you can try running WLS 6.1 in the
mydomain domain, and see if you can access the console. If you can, then
you can continue with the WLP 4.0 installation.

How to bootstrap swiz to work in application loaded in a portal

Hi,
I have a portal and I'm loading a couple of applicaitons using SWFLoaders which are using the Swiz framework. When loaded in the portal, the Swiz framework is not loading any beans or data. If the applicaiton is run outside the portal it works fine. The SWFLoader is a child of the portal, same security and application domain.
I don't know how to make swiz work. I also created a bootstrapper to load the portal and share classes but I get a compile error if I try this:
import org.swizframework.Swiz;Swiz;
It doesn't do anything. If I add this same line to the portal, it still doesn't do anything. How can Swiz work for children applications loaded in the portal?

Need info to configure SSL for Portal Server in EP6SP2

Hello,
We need to configure SSL for Portal Server. We are using J2EE 6.20 Patch 25 and EP6SP2P4. The ITS is already using https and it creats lots of Session issues since Portal is not in https.
Is there any OSS Note or How to guide to configure Portal to use SSL.

Thanx for your Post, I have a Question, we will use CISCO for load balancing and SSL termination but I have a big issue, the URL in the portal applciation is always the same ant the URL in the borwser, I guess al the other URL´s are in the Frames, how will we configure the SSL termination for the login page in example if the URL in the Browser appears always the same?

Question about load balancing between Portal and ABAP

I have the problem whit load balancing between Portal and ECC (ERC) ABAP
Exist two system:
1) ECC (ERP) ABAP = Backend Module = HR
2) EP (JAVA) = Frontend
The users (9000 users) logon in the EP and run query (data personal) in the ECC. The problem to all user connect in Central Instance and not in the Dialog Instance.
How can balancing the conecction HTTP (EP) to ECC (ABAP)??

Another possibility is that you use iviews that point to the backend in this case you will need to use a load balanced entry for the backend system in the [system landscape|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/47/8c1e438d7017fce10000000a42189c/frameset.htm] -> SAP_R3_LoadBalancing
If you have ESS deployed on your portal, you will most probably need to do both.

[SOLVED] internal error Cannot find suitable emulator for x86_64

After a reboot due to unrelated issues, virt-manager is not showing any of the VMs I had configured via qemu:
I checked connection properties, and everything else is showing up correctly, like the networks and storage. I tried to create new VMs out of existing storage and got this message:
Googling it suggested this happens when KVM module is not loaded. I modprobed kvm, kvm_intel and still got same result.
Systemd gave me the following:

Googling that seems to indicate that this happens when virtualization is disabled by BIOS. But cpuinfo tells me that vm is supported:

A generic and open source processor emulator which achieves a good emulation speed by using dynamic translation.
Of which, qemu got updated just today. I will try rolling back to older version and post and update.
Ninja edit: Looks to be qemu. Just running qemu gives me this error:
% qemu-system-x86_64
qemu-system-x86_64: error while loading shared libraries: libiscsi.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

pacman -S libiscsi libaio
systemctl restart libvirtd

First of all thanks a lot for this post. I am facing the same issue since yest.
After reboot, my VMs gone missing and even virt-manager was not working (as shown in the screenshots which you have pasted in your post).
Now after trying out the workout which you had mentioned, I am able to get the virt-manager working.
But I am not sure if I can get back my missing VMs .
I am new to linux. Kindly guide me on how I can get back those VMs.

Migration / Emulation for 3.x Objects

Hi ,
Though I have BI 2004s currently I have installed BW3.5 Objects (FIAP ODS, CUBE and InfoSources) with <u>In Data Flow Before</u> option.Later I will go for either Emulation or Migration option to convert them into 2004S objects.
Are there any certain steps to be followed to install BI 3.5 Content objects in BI 2004S system? pls guide me.
I have taken the objects given below:
Datasource: 0FI_AP_4 ( Not yet connected to 2004S system)
ODS: 0FIAP_O03
CUBE: 0FIAP_C03
The bottom line is I want to work on the 3.x objects later it needs to be converted into 2004s objects. If someone gives me the step by step approach I really appreciate your help by rewarding the points

1)Replicate datasource as 3.x NOT new
Above DS acts as Emulated
2)Follow same steps as in 3.x ,install business content...load objects

I'm doing a project for my Professional Writing course and I
have to use RoboHelp to create an online help document. The
professor provided templates for us to use but when I go to open
the project file I get the following error: "open project was
cancelled or the application was unable to load database
for....(then the directory)"
I know the project file isn't corrupted because the members
of my class are using the same one without issue. I tried
re-downloading the file, I also re-installed the program itself,
still with no luck. I'm using a Trial Version of RoboHelp 6.0 .
The only other suggestions I have seen are that I don't have
edit perms for the system, but it's my personal laptop and I have
full admin privs. I thought at first that the folder was read-only,
but when I opened it up all it displays is the little green box in
the checkbox (which doesn't mean the folder is read-only, it's just
some stupid windows default, it's only read-only if the box is
actually checked). I tried making the entire directory read-only
and then turn it off but still get the same error.
Any suggestions?

There's a topic on my site about Opening Projects that
includes the method of deleting the CPD and XPJ files but I didn't
cover that as the project is good for everyone else. Anything is
worth a try at the moment though.
Another thing to try is to rename the course folder, then
create a new folder with the same name plus all sub folders. Then
move the files across. That will ensure the folder properties are
good and not read only. Yes I know what you said but again anything
is worth a try.
Also, in the last post you are saying the directory is not
read-only. I assume the files are all good?
Ref my previous post, is it the case that now you are getting
an error before the original error would have popped up?

Open project was cancelled or application was unable to load database for pathname

My pc is installed with Robohelp 3x. Recently I shifted the
pc from one room to anther. Now when I attempt to open my existing
workable solution, it give me the following message: "Open project
was canceled or application was unable to load database for
<pathname>". Do I need to call for Robohelp technical
support? If yes, can someone provide me the toll free number?
Can someone pls advise?

Thanks Peter, managed to get in through the link you've
given. I seriously doubt it has anything gotta do with a corrupted
project. I have 2 working projects last week but they can no longer
be opened this week.
I tried even to created an empty project from scratch. It was
created successfully but when I reopen the project, it shows the
same error message.
Could there have been other possibilities or ways which I can
troubleshoot?

Creating SQL-Loader script for more than one table at a time

Hi,
I am using OMWB 2.0.2.0.0 with Oracle 8.1.7 and Sybase 11.9.
It looks like I can create SQL-Loader scripts for all the tables
or for one table at a time. If I want to create SQL-Loader
scripts for 5-6 tables, I have to either create script for all
the tables and then delete the unwanted tables or create the
scripts for one table at a time and then merge them.
Is there a simple way to create migration scripts for more than
one but not all tables at a time?

No there is no multi-select for creating SQL-Loader scripts.
You can either create them separately or create them all and
then discard the one you do not need.

In an ASO cube you can only load to level zero
The consider all levels if used for aggregation hints. It allows you to tell the aggregation optimizer to look at all levels when deciding if aggregation needs to be done on the dimension

Yes you can load data for all levels in an ASO cube in any version HOWEVER, none of the upper level data in any cube will be there when you look for it. You will get a warning message in the load because ASO cubes don't store data at upper levels. It is the same as loading data into dynamic calc members in BSO cube. It will do the load without compalints, but there will be no data there (At least you get the warning in ASO)
