Loading Master Data Version 7.0

I am having a problem loading the master data for an infoprovider. I have assigned several characteristics and have created the various transformations, infosources and data sources to populate the infoobject with master data. However when executing the DTP I get a error stating that the InfoCube is marked for Real Time and it cannot be loaded. Don´t really know why this is...do I need a Plug-In for the Real-Time upload?

Thank you. Yes, I am sure I am loading an InfoObject, it is assigned to an InfoArea and therefore can be used as an InfoProvider, however it is a Characteristic to be used in DP. I have no problem loading InfoCubes. The problem I have is loading master data from R/3 to the respective attriubutes that I have assigned to the InfoObject. Here is the scenario.
InfoObject: S_PEDIDOR
Attributes:
S_CLIENH1
S_CLIENH2
S_CLIENH3
S_CLIENH4
S_VKBUR
S_BZIRK
S_PARVW
S_VKGRP
S_GRDMAND
The attributes come from the field names in R/3. I have created the data source in R/3 and transfered the metadata to APO. I have created an InfoSource and the transf. from the DataSource to the InfoSource. I have also loaded an InfoPackage with success to a PSA. I have also created the transf. from the InfoObject Attributes to the InfoSource. I have assigned the infoobjects in the respective fields in the transformation. I have no masterdata for the InfoObject S_PEDIDOR. I cannot create a DTP for the InfoObject cause it tells me that it cannot load the data in a Real-Time destination.
The question is: How do I load master data from a R/3 DataSource to the master data of an InfoObject

You can turn matching strategy in MDM Data manager for delete dublicate of records
and then use MDM Syndicator for export data to file and then load that file to BW
If you use OHD you cannot load from BW to MDM repository 10 records and unload only 5 because
in BW every record has unique key.
also you can use MDM ABAP or Java API for delete dublicate of records

Error 194 while loading Master Data.

Hi,
I've a custom Info Object which has 0MATERIAL as an attribute. While trying to load master data to this custom info object using DBConnect , I'm getting the error:
RSDMD 194
0MATERIAL: Data record 1('0001003') : Version '1009841' is not valid.
I think it's a problem with conversion exit. But I'm not able to solve this problem. It would be of great help if you could guide me on how to overcome this.

I'm thinking for DB Connected datasources we have Propose Tab Page and Fileds Tab Page. In the Propose tab Page you can see data type and Format(internal or External or check). select external, put data type of your Material Infoobject Data type in the Propose Tab Page.

Object DTP DTP_d55.......could not found in version A.
I have checked the Master data locally for source sys in compounding Tab of the key field.

Problem load master data

Hi experts
I am trying to load master data 0MATERIAL ATTR, there is no error when load into PSA but when I did load into IO it shows error as below:
Too many error records - update terminated
Example:
Record 1 :0MATERIAL : Data record 1 ('000000020000000001 '): Version '000000020000000001 ' is not valiad RSDMD 194
Please kindly advice if you have any idea how to fix the problem.

Hi Angel,
There might be a problem in data from source system. Check the tech spec of the info object like type length etc.in BW. then check with the data in PSA.

Thanks for the answers. I tried loading it yesterday, i had lot of confusions.
What should i do to load a master data from a R/3 to BI7.0.
1. Created a Info object named (EKKO_mas) with some attributes (ernam, ekorg, lifnr).
2. Go to info provider and right clicked on info area and selected insert char as data target. (Please correct if i am wrong).
3. Login to R/3, go to sbiw generic data source created one with a view/table as EKKO and map the application compound and select the needed fields by checking the checkbox. (please correct if wrong).
4. Go to source system tab and replicate data source. ( Please correct if i am wrong)
Then what should i do.
guessing steps:
4. Create a Data source, in BI 7.0 . In that as i am not using flat file, should i select "application server" instead of "local workstation" . In field tab i specified all the fields given in Info object. ( Will there be anything else i should do or change in this tab)
5. Load data in PSA. ( will the data from R/3 i selected loaded in PSA without any problem)
6. Create transformation , save and activate.
7. Create DTP save and activate , click execute.
By doing the above given step will i be able to load the master data from R/3 to BI 7.0 data target (IO) . Please help me if something is wrong with my steps.

Hi,
I think there is problem with "0MANU_MATNR" Data, check the records 1033 to 1036 and find the differnce between 1035 record and other records, some values is giving problem so by looking at other reocrds i.e 1033,1034,1036. Check in PSA in Monitor.
Note: If any problem with Upper/Lowe case then use TOUPPER in Transfer Rules
If need use Conversion exits in transfer rules.

BPC75NW: Error Loading Master data for BPC Dimensions from BW InfoObject

Hello Gurus,
I'm trying to load master data for BPC Dimensions from BW Infoobjects.
The ID thats used in BW is 32 char long. When I run the load, the ID is truncated after 20 chars and the records are reported as duplicates.
Due to this the load is failing.
I cannot use any other ID as the texts will not be loaded in that case.
Is there any work around to handle this?
I cannot load the transaction data either.
I looked at some posts and blogs in sdn, but nothing really helped.

I tried using a additional Dimension property to hold the 32 char ID. But I cannot access this in the transformation.
Is there a way to refer the dimension property in the Transformation file or in the UJD_ROUTINE BADI implementation?

Loading master data for characteristic having compounded characteristic

I am getting an error when i am trying to load master data for a custom characterisrtic ZQUALGRP (Quality Group) which has a compounded characteristic 0PLANT.
The data in the excel file used for loading looks like:
Plant | Quality Group | Description
1601 | BlendA | Willow Lake Underground | Blend A
1610 | BlendA | Riola Complex - Riola Portal | Blend A
1611 | BlendA Riola Complex - VG Portal | Blend A
I have defined transformations for Master Data Text Load and all these three fields are mapped in the transformation. There are no attributes for this characteristic.
I get the following error in the Data Transfer Process Monitor
ZQUALGRP: Data Record 1 ('1601BlendA E'): Version '1601BlendA' is not valid.
ZQUALGRP: Data Record 2 ('1610BlendA E'): Version '1610BlendA' is not valid.
ZQUALGRP: Data Record 3 ('1611BlendA E'): Version '1611BlendA' is not valid.
The transformation for some apparent reason is concatenating the plant and quality grp together.
Can you please comment why i am getting this error.
Please note I DELETED AND RECREATED DATA SOURCE AND TRANSFORMATION, STILL I GET THE SAME ERROR.

I need some help!!
Iam trying to load master data to a DSO, but I dont find the way to do it.
Particularly, I want to fill a field of my DSO with an attribute of an InfoObject (that is also a key field of the DSO).
I create a transformation rule that connect my DSO with my transactional extractor; this rule fills all the fields, with the exception of which it is had to be complete with the attribute of this infoObject. The infoObject has his own transformation rules, which connect this master data characteristic with a M. T. extractor.
This DSO will be used only as a data warehouse that provides data to another system.
How I could load this attribute to my DSO? Anyones knows the steps to do it?

Yes, I have de BI 7. 0 version.
I will comment my situation. My DSO has three key fields (society, number of doc. and schedule line), one of these is my master infoObject (the number of document). This InfoObject has an attribute (the people who enter de document), which I couldnt load it using my transactional extractor because it doesn'tt have the R/3 field in the extractor. Thats why; I decided to load it using master data.
First I charge my DSO with the master InfoObject and his attribute, using a transformation rule that connect my infoprovider with de master IO data table.
Then I charge the rest of the DSO fields, including again the master infoObjeto data field. In this case, I used a transformation rule that connect my infoProviders with a transactional extractor.
After this, when I want to execute the activation of both request, I couldnt do it because the system dont let me.
The way I do all what I says, is correct? When I am modeling the data transfer process, I have to consider something in particular?
When I want to load the master data to the DSO, I consider only one of the key fields of the DSO (number of doc); there is any problem if I dont consider the others two key fields.

Duplication of records while loading Master Data.

Hi All,
I am facing problem while loading master data from 0BPARTNER_ATTR. The infopackage is getting failed showing message "44 duplicate record found. 32 recordings used in table 44 duplicate record found. 32 recordings used in table /BI0/XBPARTNER"
we can rectify manually but daily the loading is getting failed showing the same message. So Cvan anybody suggest me how to rectify this problem permanently. And Can you Explain me why the error is?
If i go to PSA and check i can find only one dulplicate record. I am not able to understand the Error Message.

Hi,
there was (is?) a recent problem in the SAP BI 7.0 software, so that duplicates were removed during init load, but not during delta load. Although the DTP could not set currently (also an error that has already a SAP note). We added a manual removal using ABAP code to avoid upgrading to a new SAP version. That helped. The duplicates may also result from two full request that are loaded at the same time.
Hope this help to analyse the problem in details.

Hello Experts,
What are the tables will update while loading Master data ? And requesting you to provide more information about Master data loading and its related settings in the beginning of creation infoobjects.

It depends upon the type of Master data u r loading....
In all the master data loadings, for every new value of master data an SID will be created in the SID table /BI*/S<INFOOBJECT NAME> irrespective of the type of master data.
But the exceptional tables that get updated depending on the type of master data are.....
If it is a time Independent master data then the /BI*/P<INFOOBJECT NAME> table gets updated with the loaded data.
If it is a time dependent master data then the /BI*/Q<INFOOBJECT NAME> table gets updated with the loaded data.
If the master data is of time Independent Navigational attributes then for every data load the SID table will get updated first and then the /BI*/X<INFOOBJECT NAME> table gets updated with the SID's created in the SID table (NOT WITH THE MASTER DATA).
If the master data is of time dependent navigational attributes then for every data load the SID table will get updated first and then the /BI*/Y<INFOOBJECT NAME> table gets updated with the SID's created in the SID table (NOT WITH THE MASTER DATA).
NOTE: As said above, For all the data in P, Q, T, X, Y tables the SID's will be created in the S table /BI*/S<INFOOBJECT NAME>
NOTE: Irrespective of the time dependency or Independency the VIEW /BI*/M<INFOOBJECT NAME> defined on the top of /BI*/P<INFOOBJECT NAME> & /BI*/Q<INFOOBJECT NAME> tables gives the view of entire master data.
NOTE: it is just a View and it is not a Table. So it will not have any physical storage of data.
All the above tables are for ATTRIBUTES
But when it comes to TEXTS, irrespective of the Time dependency or Independency, the /BI*/T<INFOOBJECT NAME> table gets updated (and of course the S table also).
Naming Convention: /BIC/*<InfoObject Name> or /BI0/*<InfoObject Name>
C = Customer Defined Characteristic
0 = Standard or SAP defined Characteristic
* = P, Q, T, X,Y, S (depending on the above said conditions)

Loading Master Data from a Flat File

Hi Guru, I have flat files of different SAP tables (Transactional data tables and Master Data ), I want to upload this flat files to a DSO, my question is in the case of Master Data Files example SAP table USR03 ( User Address Data) in a Flat file format which is better to create a Master data text and attributes Datasource or create it as a transactional data Datasource to upload it to a DSO.

Master data datasource should be used to load master data like customer details. customer data is the master data which does not change frequently. customer infoobject may have some attributes like customer name, customer contact number, customer address, etc. we have to maintain these attributes and text data.
Transaction data is something which keeps changing very frequently like price of the material, sales, etc. for loading such data we go for transaction datasources.
As mentioned above too,the changes in the address are very rare, therefore youshould not use transactional datasource.

Error while loading master data to attribute ZMAJORGU(Major organisational unit)

While loading master data to ZMAJORGU(MOU)(info object texts) from datasource (ZOS_HRP1000)datasource iam getting error in DTP.
below is the error...
Diagnosis
    Data record 349 & with the key 'Ship &' is invalid in value 'Ship &' of
    the attribute/characteristic ZMAJORGU &.
System Response
    The system has recognized that the value mentioned above is invalid, and
    has processed this general error message. A subsequent message may give
    you more information on the error. This message refers to the same
    value, even though it does not state this explicitly.
Procedure
    If this message appears during a data load, maintain the attribute in
    the PSA maintenance screens. If this message appears in the master data
    maintenance screens, leave the transaction and call it again. This
    allows you to maintain your master data.

I have done the following regarding the issue ....Looking at the error i have gone trough the transformation and i didnt find any routines or formuales
I have checked the PSA and down loaded the data to spread sheet and put a filter on SHORT and STEXT assuming i will find the value
'Ship &' as mentioned in the Diagnosis description. However i was not able to find the relavent data(i went to se16 gave teh request ID from PSA and displayed the entire data)tarting with Ship .The closest value i could find in both the fileds was was AVP Shipment .
I have the following questions
1)In the screen short 2 it says record number 349 is it right to go to PSA table and check against the record number 349(i tried that but i was not able to find the error against that record)
2)why am i not finding the value 'Ship' in PSA ...but this is the value wich is creating a poblem in updating to the target ....does it mean the record value is Ship or it starts with Ship or is ir part of some word?
Please find the attached PSA data file (u have to convert it to Excel)
I request people to help me analyse the issue and fix the issue.

I checked other records as well they were a lot of smallcharecters upper case charectres ,numeric special charecters .but nothing stopped ...when the system is even accpeting all other charectres like smallof caps or numeric... why on this record is creating an issue...

and i have one more question when i look at PSA there are close to 300000 records
but when i do an SE16 with request id i see only close to one lakh records (i came to conclusion b dragging down and the last record number was (below screen shot)
Can you tell me what my mistake is numebr or records are not tallying in SE16 and PSA..

Lock NOT set for: Loading master data attributes error

Hi experts,
We were encountering this error before when trying to load master data. When we checked the system we could not find any locks at the time, and activation or kicking off the attribute change run failed again. We finally solved the problem running FM RSDDS_AGGR_MOD_CLOSE which sets the close flag to 'X' in table RSDDAGGRMODSTATE. I have read that it is possible this lock error happens when two change runs happen at the same time.
My question are:
1. is it possible to find out what process exactly "caused" the lock? the table RSDDAGGRMODSTATE does not have a reference to any object or job. I am curious as we are trying to find ways to avoid this in the future...
2. in our case, when we could not find any locks, is running this fm the only work around? is this a best practice?

I have had this problem in the past (3.0B) --> the reason is that our system was too slow and could not crunch the data fast enough, therefore packets where loacking each other.
The fix: load the data into the PSA only, and then send it in background from the PSA to the info object. By doing this, only a background process will run, therefore locks cannot happen.
Fix#2: by a faster server (by faster, I mean more CPU power)
Now, maybe you have another issue with NW2004s, this was only my 2 cents quick thought
