Lock screen music preview

i just purchased my ipod touch (4th Gen). i know that when i lock the screen with music playing that it should show the album artwork and the song title. mine is not doing this any one else have this problem? help would be appreciated

Can you pause the music about the control which you get with two fast clicks on the home button on the lockscreen? If yes do it and start it with this control again or change the song to another with a cover. If this doesn't work you could probably try a reboot. I haven't got another suggestion sorry.

Lock Screen Music Player Issues

Here is the deal:
To the best of my knowledge, there is no solution (as of yet). I am hoping someone can guide me in the event there is.
I carry my iPhone in my front pocket like many people. I don't carry anything other than the phone in that pocket other than the headphones. Yet somehow, almost daily, the music player starts while the phone is in my pocket. If I manage to hear it, despite the surrounding noise and whether the headphones are plugged in, I can usually turn it off and save the battery. However, in many instances, I have pulled my phone out to find that the player has run the battery into the ground. After doing some general research, I have found that this significant problem is not limited to me.
Now I understand that generally, to activate the music player you have to press the home button twice and then tap play on the music player. However, day after day the player starts. I am certain that when the phone goes into the pocket, I press the button on top of the phone placing it in Sleep mode. Regardless of what I do - nothing seems to work and it is my understanding that there is no setting from Apple to disable the music player.
Therefore, I believe my options are limited to the following and hopefully someone can confirm my understanding or offer better solutions:
1.     I can remove every song from my IPhone. Without music, there is nothing to play. Granted it defeats one of the key features of my $600 device;
2.     I can jailbreak the iPhone and rely on the thoughtful functions created by third parties outside of Apple who have thought this process through; or
3.     I can buy a competitive device that is not simply a phone built around a media player.
Frankly, at the end of the day, how is this functionality not a safety hazard? If I am stranded somewhere with no phone battery because Apple decide not to give me an option to turn off the "lock screen" music player function - I would go so far as argue that this is Apple's own negligence. A "lock screen" by definition should LOCK THE SCREEN. This should not be a "lock screen" with certain Apple exceptions. At the very least, Apple should give the owner the ability to determine whether this information is accessible from the outside screen.
Even worse, assume that I have confidential business memos stored in the music player (this is where it stores them). What if my phone was found by a competitor who decided to listen to the memo that I have on my phone - based on the current function, there would be nothing to stop them? Or what if a child finds a phone and the music library contains explicit lyrics. Is there nothing to stop the child from accessing these. I cannot believe that the genuses at Apple did not have the foresight to think of these potential issues with the function - therefore, I believe that there must be a solution and I am not seeing it.
Can anyone help?

I do have a passcode - as I mentioned I am using a LOCK SCREEN which is the password protected screen. My point was that audio memos (like voice memos) are stored as audio files in the music player. They are accessible through the standard lock screen music controls on the iPhone. It makes no difference whether you have the screen locked/unlocked. To the best of my knowledge, there is no setting to turn off those controls which would be the ultimate solution to my problem.
I purposefully don't save such memos becuase I know that anyone can access them.
I am more concerned with the player turning itself on, daily.

Locked screen music controls doesn't want to work for 'remote', Why?

When the screen is locked and you double tap on the home button, basic music options display, it's the top dar of the music app. This function works perfectly with the music app but the remote app by apple to control iTunes doesn't seem to be compatible, it seems stupid but possible. I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything, and that its not just me and my iPad.

I know how the remote app works and how the locked screen works .But that's exactly what I said, the remote app will not control anything on the iPad. It only controls the iTunes library on your computer.
it wouldn't matter if you could get to the remote app with screen locked - even though you cant because it will not control the Music app on the iPad.

Lock screen music controls not always working?

when double clicking the home button, it brings up the music controls as expected. the problem: if I hit pause and leave the phone alone for more than about 5 minutes, I can no longer access music controls by double clicking. it wasn't this way before ios7. was this change intentional it or is this a bug?
(I know I can play music through the control center by swiping up from the lock screen, but that's not what this question is about.)

I just need somebody to tell me if this is happening on their ios7 device. even if you don't have the answer to how to fix it. I want to know if this is a bug or if it was intentional.

Lock screen notification previews

Hi Guys, I was able to get the new update working. 10.2 or somerhing like that. It looks good so far, I like some of the things am seeing but i dont seem to see the lock screen notification previews.
Has anybody else had this issue. Any suggestions would be greatly appreiated.

Have you verified that the notification previews are enabled in Settings > Display > Lock Screen Notifications? If it is enabled, could you please try turning it off, closing the setting and then re-enabling it?

Previous/back button for lock screen (Android)

I would like to see a previous song button on the lock screen of Android. I dislike having to unlock my phone just to start a song over or to get back to another.

I didn't do anything specifically, as far as I can remember, other than installing the Spotify app. Of course, these controls do not show up unless I already opened the app beforehand and started playing a song. Once it's already playing, then the controls appear after locking the screen. I even changed my security because I had pattern unlock and changed it to PIN in order to take the screenshot I posted above.But in both security modes (pattern/pin) I can see the controls. My only guess is that it could be something related to the phone model itself. I have a Samsung E7, which has a large screen. I don't know the size of the Sony z3, and I don't have an smaller phone at hand at the moment to test. If this is the issue, then it can be more of a phone model related bug. I'll attach some links with some information that could be helpful for you. Pay close attention to the last one, as it seemed that it was the solution for most of the users. On this link there are several suggestions of apps that may be preventing the music controls to show up in the lock screen. IOS7: Is there any way to turn off previews of texts in the lock screen but allow previews in the notification center when the phone is unlocked?

In iOS6 text message previews would be shown in the notification center when the phone was unlocked and would just show up as "text message" or "imessage" in the lock screen...is there a way to change it so it's the same in iOS7? currently with "no preview" picked, whenever I swipe down in my notification center it just shows text messages with the contact name and not the message itself like it used to.

I've set up another user on my home Mac and left that one logged in. Now when I connect from work it asks me if I want to share the screen or log on virtually as my user. I think choosing the second option doesn't power up the screen.

The conventional ways of doing this, such as using turning off the SMS preview under the "passcode lock", well that option no longer exists, or if it does, I'm somehow missing it.
When I go to the "messages" setting under settings on my phone, I still don't see an option of turning it off.
If I can just get the name of the person sending the message, as I had it before, I'd be happy.

Lock screen preview no longer working with 10.3.1

We have updated all devices running work space only to 10.3.1 and the device no longer shows message previews in the lock screen.
Is this a bug?
I have turned on all instant preview options on the device.

Music buttons not working in lock screen on my iPhone 4 after iOS7 update.

After I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS7, the music buttons like PLAY, REWIND and FORWARD are not working in the locked screen as well as on swipe up menu. Any resolution please?

i had a problem with my wifes iphone 4s, today morning while travelling to work i changed a setting on repeat option and changed it to repeat artist, it was fine until when i finish my work and on my way back i found songs are not playing anymore, lots of stop signs next to my song list, play/pause button not working, album arkwork keep moving from one to another on its own, so after i reach home i try to do some research on Apple support communities, try to soft reset my phone closing all the apps on background didnt work, also note that control centre music player was not working as well. none of the solutions worked. after trying for two hours i found out that the trouble is in repeat options , so i changed it from repeat artist to repeat off. and the music start playing as usual, but i still have those stop buttons next to the songs i tried to play earlier. At least it fixed temporarily. please also note that in the meantime i tried to sync my phone with the pc and suddenly its start syncing all the songs again assuming there were no songs on my iphone. so guys i think soft reset might not help all the time but try to remember what settings you changed recently and change it back to the original option, not sure ,but it might help.

If you open the recovery drive (partition) it should only have a single folder (Recovery).
To make sure that your not saving restore points to that drive.
See:
Start, Control Panel, System, System Protection tab. Make sure the D drive partition is set to OFF so that it does not save there.

Locked Screen Play different Music - iOS 7

Hello all,
On my iPhone 4 under since I updated to iOS 7 I have been unable to restart music from where I left off from the lock screen. For example, I am listening to Track A in the music player and I stop the music while in the Music player. I don't restart it and my phone locks. If I bring up the Lock screen controls for music and press play a completely new song starts playing randomly from my library. Which is big pain since i have iTunes Match and it often has to start downloading/streaming that song. Pre iOS 7 the song that was "Now Playing" in the music app would be the one that started up.
Is this expected behaviour or am I just missing a setting?
