my iphone 4 before is opened thru gevey sim. what should i do please help me ... :'(

Thank you very much.
It actually worked.
I had some problems during the process. The "Bonjour" and "Apple Software Update" could not be installed with Add/Remove programs. I had to use "Windows install Cleanup" utility to get rid of them.
After reinstalling iTunes again, it worked. The phone was recognized and the whole OS restored.
I very much appreciate your help.

    Hey Christian,
I'd follow the troubleshooting steps below, from this article:
Apple computers: Troubleshooting issues with video on internal or external displays
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1573
    Reset the system
You can reset the Mac's parameter RAM and SMC.
    Reset the resolution
Start by resetting the Mac's parameter RAM. If the display does not come up, was previously set to an unsupported resolution, and still results in no video:
    Start up in Safe Mode.
From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences.
Choose Displays from the View menu to open the preferences pane.
Select any resolution and refresh rate that your display supports.
    Restart your computer.
See if that resolves the issue and gets your video playing again.
    All the best,
    David

  • My mum's MBP freezing on start-up screen (stuck on the opening screen)

My mum said she was using i-photo this afternoon and the MBP crashed. So she restarted and it kept getting stuck on the opening screen (Apple logo + spinning thing).
We can't work out how to start it up again. It's stuck on the opening screen far absolutely ages, with nothing happening.
Any help appreciated. She needs it operational ASAP for her work. Thanks.

    Have her try this:
Boot holding down Apple/S and don't let go until you see scrolling text.
When that stops and you see a root#: prompt enter
    fsck -fy
Let it run through all the checks and repairs.
If it fails first time, at any time, or finds and fixes a fault - run the command again and keep doing so (some fixes can take several passes) until it says "Appears to be OK" then enter
    reboot

Please help. My iphone 4 won't open after installing ios 7.1.. I already connected it to my pc but still didn't open. I waited for a long time, press the on/off, home buttons but still didn't work. Thanks Jah bless all..

Honsetly I do not know if they will charge you, however apple products usually have a one year warranty, such as your charging cable, might. But if you tried to use another charging cable then you will want to make an appointment with Apple. good luck

  • Upgraded my iPhone 4s and The New iPad to iOS 6 and cannot log into my Universities wifi!

Just as it states above. I just updated my iPhone 4S and The New iPad to iOS 6. I tried logging into my Universities wifi network and normally it requires a login page. The page to login does not load like it used to. The page that does pop up shows a bunch of errors. Not sure why this would be happening. Please help! I highly depend on my iPad. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the quick reply,
The wifi does not automatically load upon entering the school. I have to select it from the list of available wifi connections. I tried re-booting, clearing my internet settings (cache and cookies and history). I know others at the school running 5.1 are still able to connect so I know there's not an issue on the schools side. I did talk to several iOS 6 owners today and all are experiencing the same issue.

  • How to restore data on new iphone without using the initial setup

I bought a new iphone 5s today but the guy in the shop skipped the initial setup to activate the sim meaning I didn't get to restore the data through iCloud from my old phone as the wifi in the shop wasn't working. I have now got home to a wifi connection and have signed into my iCloud account but how do I restore my data? Or how do I get back to the initial setup?

On your phone: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. You can now restore your previous phone's backup to your new phone.

  • Brand new IPhone stuck with the Apple logo

My phone is brand-new, bought it yesterday together with two more for my sisters, and it asked for an update. After it finished updating, it told me to connect to Itunes, which I did. As soon as I connected it to Itunes, the only option left was to restore. I waited 10 minutes for it to restore until it came to the finishing point, but in the end, there was an error, and since then, my phone has been stuck with the apple logo on it. I tried turning it off by pressing the sleep button and the home
button at the same time until it turns off, but when I turn it on, the apple logo comes back and stays. I left the apple logo on the entire night to see if it would go off, but the apple logo only came off when the battery ran out. When I started charging it this morning, the only thing that happened was the apple logo coming on again and staying. I tried restoring it twice yesterday and in those two times there was an error. My sister also had an update and her phone didnt ask to be connected to Itunes, it just turned on and had a start up as if it was the first time she was turning it on. I don't know whether the problem is my computer or the phone... Can anyone help me?

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPhone fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

  • IPhone stuck on the Apple logo

    Hello
I tried to update to iOS5. After a while a message told that something went wrong and that I had to restore. Ok, it tried but after that I got a 3014 error. I tried again. But that was even worse. Now my iPhone i completely blocked. On power on it shows me the Apple logo and after that the loading animation, then again the Apple, and so on. And it's no longer recognized by iTunes
I just try everything reinstall iTunes, disable the firewall, reboot, ...
    Help
    Julien

I did that and then plugged in the iPhone while holding the Home button. iTunes re-flashed the firmware and is now restoring the device from backup.
This is taking too long (hours). I see progress as it is installing apps and copying music, but it seems to be progressing at a snail's pace.
Is restore from backup an inherently slow process?
Is a setting hosed that has set the USB port on the iPhone into a slow mode?

  • If I update my Iphone 3GS to the newer software version IOS 6.1.3, will I lose my contacts, apps and photos?

I am wanting to update my Iphone 3GS to the newer version IOS 6.1.3, but is afraid I might lose all of my photos including my wedding photos, apps and all of my contacts? How can I make sure I will not lose my photos, apps, contacts and all of my passwords. Is there a easier way in order not to lose anything? HELP!!!!

Although included with the iPhone's backup, all photos/videos in the iPhone's Camera Roll can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4083
Although contacts are also included with the iPhone's backup, contacts are designed to be synced with a supported address book app on your computer, and/or there are a number of free email accounts that support syncing contacts and other data over the air.
All iTunes content - all music, movies, tv shows, tones, audio and print books, and 3rd party apps should be in your iTunes library on your computer.
Settings, passwords, etc. are also included with the iPhone's backup, but so is a significant amount of other data. There is always the change some of the data included with the backup is corrupt or cannot be restored from the backup.

  • My macbook pro is frozen - does not turned on - stuck on the opening screen (apple logo). thoughts?

any ideas how to get it going?

Take each of these steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved.
    Step 1
The first step in dealing with a boot failure is to secure your data. If you want to preserve the contents of the startup drive, and you don't already have at least one current backup, you must try to back up now, before you do anything else. It may or may not be possible. If you don't care about the data that has changed since your last backup, you can skip this step.
There are several ways to back up a Mac that is unable to boot. You need an external hard drive to hold the backup data.
    a. Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at the startup chime, or from a local Time Machine backup volume (option key at startup.) Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, launch Disk Utility and follow the instructions in the support article linked below, under “Instructions for backing up to an external hard disk via Disk Utility.”
How to back up and restore your files
    b. If you have access to a working Mac, and both it and the non-working Mac have FireWire or Thunderbolt ports, boot the non-working Mac in target disk mode by holding down the key combination command-T at the startup chime. Connect the two Macs with a FireWire or Thunderbolt cable. The internal drive of the machine running in target mode will mount as an external drive on the other machine. Copy the data to another drive. This technique won't work with USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth.
How to use and troubleshoot FireWire target disk mode
    c. If the internal drive of the non-working Mac is user-replaceable, remove it and mount it in an external enclosure or drive dock. Use another Mac to copy the data.
    Step 2
Press and hold the power button until the power shuts off. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed to boot, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Use a different keyboard and/or mouse, if those devices are wired. If you can boot now, one of the devices you disconnected, or a combination of them, is causing the problem. Finding out which one is a process of elimination.
Before reconnecting an external storage device, make sure that your internal boot volume is selected in the Startup Disk pane of System Preferences.
    Step 3
Boot in safe mode.* The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click Log in.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
*Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode. Post for further instructions.
When you boot in safe mode, it's normal to see a dark gray progress bar on a light gray background. If the progress bar gets stuck for more than a few minutes, or if the system shuts down automatically while the progress bar is displayed, your boot volume is damaged and the drive is probably malfunctioning. In that case, go to step 5.
If you can boot and log in now, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.) If the boot process hangs again, the problem is likely caused by a third-party system modification that you installed. Post for further instructions.
    Step 4
Sometimes a boot failure can be resolved by resetting the NVRAM and PRAM.
    Step 5
Launch Disk Utility in Recovery mode (see above for instructions.) Select your startup volume, then run Repair Disk. If any problems are found, repeat until clear. If Disk Utility reports that the volume can't be repaired, the drive has malfunctioned and should be replaced. You might choose to tolerate one such malfunction in the life of the drive. In that case, erase the volume and restore from a backup. If the same thing ever happens again, replace the drive immediately.
This is one of the rare situations in which you should also run Repair Permissions, ignoring the false warnings it produces. Look for the line "Permissions repaired successfully" at the end of the output. Then reboot as usual.
    Step 6
Boot into Recovery again. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, follow the prompts to reinstall the OS. If your Mac was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade.
Note: You need an always-on Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection to the Internet to use Recovery. It won’t work with USB or PPPoE modems, or with networks that require any kind of authentication other than a WPA or WPA2 Personal password.
    Step 7
Repeat step 6, but this time erase the boot volume in Disk Utility before installing. The system should automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant. Follow the prompts to transfer your data from a backup.
    Step 8
If you get this far, you're probably dealing with a hardware fault. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine tested.
Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to an empty drive from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.
*An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed.
