Logic migration problem

Migrated from a 17" macbook pro running  OS X 10.5.8 to a Mac Mini running OS X 10.8.2
Logic came up in the tool bar grayed out. When opening I get this message...
You can't use this version of the application "Logic Pro.app" with this version of OS X.
You have "Logic Pro.app" 9.0.0
Ok so I tried running all the updates, with no success. Getting this message.
Alert
An eligible Logic Pro version was not found in the Applications folder. This update requires Logic Pro version 9.0 or higher.
And upon attempting to purchase a new copy of the software I get this...
Logic Pro is already installed on this computer.
Choose Software Update from the Apple menu to
check for available updates.
Then software updates doesn't list Logic as a software with an available update.
So apparently I can't use Logic because I have version 9.00 which is a powerPC app
amd I can't update because the update requires the version that I apparently have.
And I can't upgrade because I already have the version that I have.
Kafka-esque.

You do not have the correct Logic Pro 9 app in your own Applications folder...
It must be located elsewhere on your computer... probably under a different user account (named the same as the  one on your old computer)
So, find it and move it back to your user account's applications folder. You will probably need to correct it's permissions too after you move it....
Then run software updates to update it to the latest version which will then work with Mountain Lion.
Additional: I seem to be saying this a great deal recently but anyhow..
Unless the computer you original had Logic installed on, is identical in every way to the one you are moving Logic to... Using MA to move/install Logic Pro is not a good idea.. It is much better to simply reinstall Logic (and just as importantly.. all 3rd party plugins/libraries etc) from scratch and copy any personal Logic projects over by hand... Otherwise what you are seeing is a typical issue that most peeple have.. and sometimes it simply causes way to many problem to fix easily.
So, honestly, I would use the recovery partition on your new Mac Mini, reinstall ML from scratch so you wipe how everything you have done so far...and then install Logic Pro either from your original Disks via either a built in or ext DVD Drive..... or from disk images of the DVDs which hopefully you made if you don't have a USB2 DVD int or ext drive.... or purchase Logic Pro 9 from the App Store and install.. then download the additional content from the Logic Pro menu option.
Any other apps? I'd do the same thing, pain in the butt it may be.. but it is the best and least problem causing method for the future stability of your new system.
Then use your backups you made of your old computer..to copy across your personal files/projects etc...  (You did make backups yes?) or if you still have your old computer up,and running, use a ext HD/Thumb Drive to achieve the same thing.

  • DC In Board or Logic Board problem?

I have a 12" iBook G4 that's about 2 years old. It's been having intermittent problems reading the charger for awhile now and would flash charging and then not charging over and over again before it would begin to charge up again. This weekend it decided to stop reading the charger completely. The battery works fine in another computer and another battery works fine in it -- it just won't charge again once it loses it's juice.
It also will not work with just the power adapter plugged in with no battery. The little light comes on, but doesn't seem to pump power into the computer. And it's not an issue with the charger as it charges our other iBook just fine.
I've read conflicting info elsewhere about what it actually could be so I'm hoping someone could shed some light. Does it sound like just a DC In Board problem? Or a bigger Logic Board problem? Any help would be great... thanks!

From what I have read on this forum, people have managed to get the DC In Board replaced for a little over US $100. This would be at an Apple authorized repair shop rather than by Apple itself. This is much less than the cost of a new MacBook. I don't know what might be available in your area, but it would be worth asking at a repair shop.
    Good luck!

  • Photoshop/Elements to Revel Photo Migration Problem!

What happened to my Photoshop/element photos? They were supposedly migrated, but I don't see them! I have no albums in my Revel account.I had a paid subscriiption and it was cancelled back in or around February, and told that the photos would be moved over to REVEL...Can anyone help me to get them back?

First, thanks Pattie for following up with me. I am going to check my backed up hard drives to see if my photoshop materials are on them. It will take me a few days, as I have only small amounts of time to research it at this time. maybe a break will come in a day or two for a determination.

    Michael-
Is it possible you logged into Photoshop.com with a different email, or is it possible that you did not set up your Elements to sync with Photosho.com? These are the two main reasons users can not find their files.
The Photoshop.com account created in 2009 with the email you use to log in to this forum has no files in it, and therefore, nothing migrated to the Revel account with the same login. You do have a Revel account with the same login, but it is also empty since nothing migrated.

  • IBook G4 (Jun 2005 model) Logic Board Problem (No Display and HDD noise)

    Hello All
I have been using my iBook G4 (1.2 GHz) with no problems since I purchased it in June 05. But over the past 2 days, I have been noticing this weird incident of "no display" when booted and I was hearing a loud fan noise at times and I can hear my HDD spinning etc. When I tried to restart pressing CTRL+OPTION and POWER after shutting it down, it booted up but reverted my PMU to a date in 2001 (resetting all my email, music etc). But when I tried shutting it down again and restarted normally, I heard the bootup chime but no display. Again, I could hear the fan and the HDD spinning.
I took my laptop to the Apple Store here in Boca, FL today and was told that its a logic board problem.
I know there was a Logic Board Repair Initiative from Apple for the G3's and early G4's. Does anyone know such a thing for the fairly recent iBook G4's??.
    Any help is immensely appreciated.
    Thanks

    iBook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

How do I verify that my issue is a logic board issue. Recently, computer froze. Tried a hard reboot but no luck. It either shows a blank blue screen or I'll get the grey screen and apple with the start-up spinner but it'll stop spinning.
That's it. I'm able to browse the contents of the iBook's harddrive when I connect it to my Ti Powerbook via Target Disk mode. I even lauched Disk Utility from the powerbook and verified the iBook's drive and it found no problems.
Could it be the same logic board issues that you guys are having? How do I verify this? Is it worth paying to repair an 800mhz G4 iBook (applecare expired April '06)?
I've heard about kernal panic issues with the macbooks so I'm apprehensive about getting one of those right now too. Getting frustrated. Actually considered copping an inexpensive PC laptop... ugghhh.

  • How can I differentiate logic board problem from display problem?

I have been given an iBook G3 900MHz (one of the models known to have logic board issues.) When I boot it up, I get the Apple chime, the hard drive spins, and the caps lock and num lock lights light up. Sometimes the display comes on, sometimes it does not. When it does, it flickers and goes off and on. I don't get lines or pixels or anything that I have seen described as being indicative of logic board failure. As far as I can tell, the computer works fine otherwise.
So, how can I be sure the problem is logic board-related and not an issue with the inverter board or the display cable?
I was also wondering, how much trouble - if any - is Apple giving people about replacing logic boards on certain models of iBook? This one should be eligible, as its serial number falls in the right range and it was bought in Oct. '03, which was within the past three years.
    Thanks!

there was a period when the display showed colored lines and pixels
    Classic logic board symptoms.
    The iBook freezes a lot
Mine did, too, with the logic board problem.
my gut tells me the problem is logic board-related.
My gut tells me your gut is probably right.
My question about repair coverage is this: According to Apple's support site, where I entered the serial number, this computer's "estimated purchase date" was October 3, 2003. But the owner no longer has any actual proof of purchase; no receipt, no packing slip, nothing. Is that needed to have Apple replace the logic board?
No. As I said, I bought mine, used, on eBay. I called in when I recognized the logic board symptoms (I had been working these boards for over a year at that point), they sent a box. It went out on Wednesday. They got it, fixed it, and shipped it back to me on Thursday, and it was back in my hands on Friday. (Practice makes perfect, I guess.)
Also, does Apple make their determination of age from when the computer was purchased or when it was built?
    Purchase date only.
Or does that decision depend on if a person can produce a receipt or not?
Nope. The only paperwork I sent in with mine was the slip Apple sent in the box to indicate what all I was sending them (adapter, battery, extra RAM). What good would an eBay seller's receipt have done?
I probably have to go to my local service center (in NY that's a place called Tekserve, which is a great place to get a computer fixed, but the wait to be seen averages over an hour!)
Don't mess around with Tekserve. Call Apple at the number listed on the FAQ page:
    http://www.apple.com/support/ibook/faq/
Thanks again for your input. I appreciate it.

  • Continual logic board problems?

I just had my third logic board replaced (on my ibook G3 dual usb) this week. It goes out every 13-14 months, like clock work. 2 (including the most recent) out of the 3 times apple has replaced it without fuss or charge. When I received the computer this last time, it booted up fine all of my data and programs were there, except the clock was set to 1969. I had backed everything up on an external hard drive, so I decided to do a clean install of tiger. Tiger installed and booted then I shut it down for the night. This a.m. the computer would not turn on. I tried removing the battery, leaving the battery in, unplugging from the power supply, standing on my head etc. nothing, no apple tone, no light, although the keyboard light is on. Question, what happened? I have not tried resetting the PMU but I am not sure that it will work b/c I cannot even get my computer to turn on....Any thoughts before I send it back to the depot.
also, about the logic board replacement program....is the 3 year time frame a moving window? for example, i bought my ibook in 9-02 but my last logic board was replaced 2-06 is the 3 year time point at 9-05 or 2-09?
    any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Your logic borard problem isn't the screen one then? I ask as I have exactly this machine (same RAM too!) and it has developed what sounds like an identical problem. It had its video fault logic board replaced 2 years ago but has been perfect since. Been used daily without a hitch. Then it just shut down without warning.
Now, if you leave it a while (hrs) it boots. You can then run it for a while, typically 10-20 mins (long enough to drop a back up of all the data over a wireless network which all worked fine). The it just suddently and without warning goes to instant death. And will not power up again. Pressing pwoer key or trying the PMU reset produces no response at all. Battery is ahcrged and charging system works when it is running fine.
This suggests a logic board problem but not the video one the free warranty covers. But you are saying yours has had this shut down problem repeatedly?
It has the feeling of being a risk to invest in logic board replacement.

  • Logic Board Problem?

    Hey Everyone:
I'm still a fairly new Apple user, coming from a world of DIY computer problems. Problem is, this nice compact ibook of mine prevents me from being able to do much on my own. I'm trying to solicit some advice as to what I can do about my current hardware issues.
About 5 months after having my ibook I noticed white spots on my screen. I knew it would be repaired by Apple, but being the cheap SOB that I am I decided to put it off until the end of my 1 year warranty. I figured I could get everything fixed then, and avoid paying for the extended warranty. Well, I followed through with my plan, but I've noticed some new problems. I'm not too happy about this, but at least I realized these problems in time to extend the warranty.
    The Problems:
-The first night I got it back, the computer completely froze! Everything working fine, and BAM! The screen looked fine but the entire system was locked up. Fortunately, this only happened twice that night, and I haven't seen it again.
-Also that first night, the computer would not come out of sleep. It sounded like the hard drive would start spinning, and the flashing light would turn off, but the screen was completely blank. I would be forced to hard reboot, and then things worked better. This led me to a reinstall, but the problem still comes back every so often.
-One day, I logged in to find that my clock had been reset to 12:00 and somewhere around 1960(?). I set the clock to the appropriate time, and have since realized this could be a PMU issue. I just reset the PMU a few minutes ago, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed this could solve the problems.
-A couple of weeks ago, the computer would give the dreaded 3 beeps at startup. This seems to imply that OS X can't find the memory bus, but again this seemed to disappear as well.
I'm looking for some help here. I'm afraid that the Genius bar will just ignore me, because I still can't find a way to reproduce my problems on a regular basis. Yet, the instability is driving me nutty, and I rely on my laptop to get almost all of my work done. Overall, I'm not very pleased with Apple's hardware work. Instead of replacing the entire screen casing, they only replaced the screen itself. That seems like a lot of work with a lot of potential to mess things up on my computer. What's with that farce of a bill that Apple used to convince me to renew my warranty saying that the screen cost $400? No way a screen costs that much, maybe the entire unit. Also, I lift up my keyboard and notice the Technician lost one of the screws. What kind of professional work is that, I ask you?
Does anybody have any advice on how I can get help with these problems? I just want to get through these rough times while minimizing my inconveniences, and avoiding the potential loss of any data. I am making regular backups, I just don't like the idea that my laptop can die on me at any given time without any warning.
    Thanks!!!

    maciscool,
That's a good guess, but maybe I wasn't clear enough. The only hardware changes are what Apple did when they replaced the screen. If the RAM is faulty, then it is something they damaged, because everything worked fine before I handed my ibook over to the Genius Bar. I ran memtest, and the Apple Diagnostics CD a few times, and I don't get any errors.
I'm more curious as to how people knew they had Logic Board Problems, and how did they prove this to Apple. As I see it, a problem such as this would either be disastrous or unpredictabe, that latter being much harder to prove to the retailer.

  • RAM upgrade MBP 7.1 fail.  Only stock RAM works.  Logic board problem?

    pulling my hair out here.
I have recently uprgraded my mid 2010 mbp to mountain lion and thought i would upgrade as much as i could but ran straight into frustration town.
after a full day trying 8 different types and amounts of RAM, my MBP will only boot to a useable state with the stock ram it came with.
I made an appointment with a 'genius' at the apple store (the annoyance of having to call a condescending punk a genius is just too much to handle) and had said 'genius' disappear with my mbp for a half hour or so.  Once he returns he tells me it is logic board problem and 'boy you aren't going to like the price of the repair'.  F'n' right, genius!
    My question is this:
would a faulty logic board allow the stock ram to work but NOTHING else?
secondary question:  anyone else notice a slowing down of operations with mountain lion?

In your original post I got the impression that your MBP worked with the original RAM.  Apparently that was a misconception on my part.  My suggestions are to first run an Apple Hardware Test and see what clues, if any it offers:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1509
You may have to start it by holding OPTION D.
Next I suggest that you look over this user tip document and follow the procedures that apply to your MBP and OS:
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3353
Kappy may have some additional ideas.
    Ciao.

  • WebLogic to Web Sphere Migration problem

    Hi,
I have a problem on Migrating from Web Logic to Web Sphere in RSA for websphere 7.0 .
On clicking prepare for deployment there displaying a pop up error "Deploy has encountered a problem". in details
    The error is:
    Deploying hqp-ejb
    Deployment from com.ibm.etools.ejbdeploy.EJBDeployer had errors:
Error generating findTest(int) query for bean Foo(Abstract schema name=Foo). Error=query cannot be pushed down
    Query='SELECT Object (a) FROM Foo As a WHERE a.id = ?1 AND a.code = 'M''.
This application is running fine in Web Logic.
    The queries are inside ejb-jar.xml.
Please help to fix the problem.

LiveCycle's install bits for WebSphere and WebLogic are different.  You simply shouldn't install the bits for WebLogic and then try deploying to WebSphere.

  • JHeadstart Migration Problem

    Hi,
I have an oracle form as an .fmb file. I Need to migrate the form to JDevelope(ADF) using JHeadstart.
As the form was built using Form Builder, I created a repository and did a reverse engineering using the Design Capture functionlity of the Oracle Designer. While running the Design Capture, it ran sucessfully without giving me any errors. Following is the log message :-
    Form Generator : Version 10.1.2.0.2 (Build 10.1.2.6.18) - Production on Tue Jul 15 09:33:57 2008
Copyright (c) 1995, 2005 Oracle Corporation. All rights reserved
    Capturing Module 'F_TRANS_HIST'
    Capture of 'F_TRANS_HIST' Successful
Design and Application Logic Capture Complete
I then created an application [JSF, ADF BC] in JDeveloper. I then enabled the JHeadstart of the ViewController Project and then ran the JHeadstart Designer-Forms Migrator. This process also ran sucessfully without giving me any error.
When in the JDeveloper Application Navigator, under the Model project ->Application Sources, I am just able to see the application Module. The entities are NOT present.
Is there a problem during my design capture? or during the migration.
If somehow on if i try to define an application defination on the same project and then run the JHeadstart Application Generator then it gives me 2 error message which are as follows:-
[WEB-INF/JhsCommon-beans.xml, default/misc/facesConfig/jhsCommonBeans.vm] Velocity log [error] Method get threw exception for reference $JHS in template default/misc/facesConfig/jhsCommonBeans.vm at [94,31]

Please help me. Do let me know at which step I am going wrong.
    Thanks
    Surbhit Jain

    Hi Surbhit Jain,
I don't know what went wrong without getting more details. It could be that the Design Capture did not capture any Module Table Usages, and that's why you did not get any Entity Objects. It could also be that you ran into a bug in JHeadstart. Anyway, this week JHeadstart 10.1.3.3 was released, in which JHeadstart Designer-Forms Migrator was replaced by JHeadstart Forms2ADF Generator (JFG). See the announcement on top of this forum.
JFG can read .fmb files directly, there is no need to Design Capture into Oracle Designer. I suspect that you have more chances of success with JFG.
    Hope this helps,

  • Another system migration problem...

I had posted this as a reply in a thread about problems with using Migration Assistant with a bootable external FireWire drive, but it wasn't getting any replies, so please forgive the double-post... I need to find an answer to these problems before I go nuts. The situation:
PBG4 w/broken screen, running an external (duh) Samsung monitor. This is my shop PB, it's currently masquerading as an immobile desktop.
Identical PBG4 with no problems. Mostly keep at home, but also on the road.
BOTH PBs have the same dual (Airport/Comcast cable modem for home, Ethernet/SBC DSL for the shop) network settings, user settings, etc., and BOTH receive mail from my Comcast AND SBC accounts.
LaCie 320GB external Firewire drive with OS X 10.4.9 installed.
I wanted a way to keep my work and home PBs synced -- especially Mail -- without dragging the home PBG4 back and forth. Yes, I KNOW it's a portable, but as I sometimes ride my bike to work, I'd rather risk the loss of a $240.00 FireWire drive than an I-don't-know-how-much PB -- plus, the FireWire drive is a much smaller package to carry.
I used Migration Assistant to copy the "home" PB's "Users, Applications, Network and Machine Settings, Files, and Volumes" (just like the Migration Assistant Intro says) to the FireWire drive (which already had OS X 10.4.9 installed), then selected the FireWire drive in System Preferences as the Startup Disk.
The FireWire drive booted up both the shop AND home PBs just fine, but I had the following problems:
    1. The network and machine settings I had transferred from my "home" PB to the FireWire drive didn't "take" when I used the FireWire drive to boot up the shop PB. Neither my home Airport/Comcast cable nor shop Ethernet/SBC DSL settings were available as choices in the Network Preferences Pane. To use my shop (SBC DSL) connection while running off the System on the FireWire drive, I had to manually reconfigure the settings, always a RPITA.
    2. I decided -- probably foolishly -- to try it the other way 'round: I booted up from the shop PB's internal HD, and used Migration Assistant to transfer the "shop" PBs settings, etc. to the FireWire drive. Are you dizzy yet? I must have been, because -- just as an experiment -- I tried booting the "home" PB from the FireWire drive. Once again, the PB booted up just fine; but once again, neither the home nor shop network settings were available as choices. As an added joy, I ended up with a ton of duplicate files and folders on the FireWire drive, labeled "(from old Mac)" including my ENTIRE 25+GB iTunes library. Thank God it was 320Gig!
    3. I think that one of the problems MIGHT be this -- PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong:
When using Migration Assistant DURING a System install, IIRC there's no install-process or Migration-process question about the heinous "Short Name" (the existence/importance of which I was totally unaware, though I've been installing Mac operating systems since 1989). Using Migration Assistant OUTSIDE of the System install process allows you -- if I'm correct here -- to royally screw things up IF you've already used a "Short Name" during the install process on the Mac that you now want to Migrate TO that is different from the "Short Name" of the Mac you're Migrating FROM. I hope somebody else understands that last sentence, because I know it's logically and grammatically convoluted.
To me, the importance of the "Short Name" should be emphasized somewhere, either in the System install process, or in using Migration Assistant AFTER a System install is complete,or -- preferably -- BOTH. I had NO idea how important the "Short Name" is to the System, and while I'm not the sharpest crayon in the box, I'm probably not the dullest either.
Anyway, I'd really like to keep the two PBs synced as regards mail and new or updated files (and settings), but I seem to have over-thought (or UNDER-thought!) the means of doing so.
What am I doing wrong here, and what's the BEST way to keep my two PBs (AND the FireWire drive) all singing the same tune, especially as regards mail, settings, and docs?
    Thanks!
    Bart Brown
    PBG4   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

Simple answer: Migration Assistant is not a backup nor a synchronization tool and should not be used for that purpose.
    Instead use backup software:
Get an external Firewire drive at least equal in size to the internal hard drive and make (and maintain) a bootable clone/backup. You can make a bootable clone using the Restore option of Disk Utility. You can also make and maintain clones with good backup software. My personal recommendations are (order is not significant):
    1. Retrospect Desktop (Commercial - not yet universal binary)
    2. Synchronize! Pro X (Commercial)
    3. Synk (Backup, Standard, or Pro)
    4. Deja Vu (Shareware)
    5. PsynchX 2.1.1 and RsyncX 2.1 (Freeware)
    6. Carbon Copy Cloner (Freeware - 3.0 is a Universal Binary)
    7. SuperDuper! (Commercial)
The following utilities can also be used for backup, but cannot create bootable clones:
    1. Backup (requires a .Mac account with Apple both to get the software and to use it.)
    2. Toast
    3. Impression
    4. arRSync
Apple's Backup is a full backup tool capable of also backing up across multiple media such as CD/DVD. However, it cannot create bootable backups. It is primarily an "archiving" utility as are the other two.
Impression and Toast are disk image based backups, only. Particularly useful if you need to backup to CD/DVD across multiple media.

    %>
When I run http://www.xyz.com/swiz/test.jsp with the above code, the url is displayed http://www.xyz.com/swiz/../sebase/common_login.jsp in Netscape address bar when the application is run on tomcat 4.1.10. With Internet explorer and opera, it reads http://www.xyz.com/sebase/common_login.jsp. But on Tomcat 4.0.4, there is no problem even with Netscape. Since we are tracking the urls in many places in our application, we are having problem because of the above said type of url interpretation.
    thanks in advance,

  • Sapscript to smartform migration problem

    Hello,
I'm trying to migrate sapscript form to smartform. I used standard way in smartform transaction. After migration I found out that not all of sapscript windows waren't migrated. What's wrong? Does anybody deal with this problem? What's possibly cause?
    Best regards,

    hi
check the below document may be helpful for you
Here is the background info from SAP
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/9d/9599386185c064e10000009b38f8cf/content.htm
Step 1. Access the initial screen. Choose Tools>Forms printout>Smart Forms (transaction SMARTFORMS) from the SAP Easy Access Menu. The dialog window SAP Smart Forms: Initial Screen appears.
Step 2. Name the form. In the Form Field, enter field name you want to give, for example ZTF_GR_## (based on your company standard starting with Z to identify this as a customized form, where “##” is the group number).
Step 3. Access the migrate function. Go to Utilities>Migrate SAPscript Form. In the dialogue window enter the SAPscript form name, for example Y_SAPSCRIPT_STD. Choose the Check button.
Step 4. View the migrated layout. On the screen that appears, the SAPscript form is migrated into a rough Smart Form . Click on Form Painter to see an overview of the form layout.
Use the following steps for mass migration or simultaneous migration of multiple SAPscript forms: Step 1. Run the mass migration program. In Reporting (transaction SE38), select the program SF_MIGRATE and execute it (Figure 3). Select the names and the language of the SAPscript forms and click the execute icon. The system creates the Smart Forms named for the SAPscript forms plus the extension SF. It displays a list of the migrated forms.
Step 2. Make changes (if necessary). To change and adapt a form, go to transaction SMARTFORMS. Then activate the changed Smart Form.
Once the SAPscripts are converted, whether in Smart Forms or Smart Styles, you should clean up any errors made during the conversion process, in terms of attributes, window alignment, or syntax errors. Cleaning up errors during conversion is often standard procedure, as SAPscript might have used local logic. Errors may occur when a field displayed is extracted or manipulated to display and doesn’t exist, or fields exist but appear with no values. Errors may also arise in ABAP syntax.
Step 1. Define the Import Parameter. Double-click on the Global Settings> Form Interface from the navigation menu
Step 2. On the Import Tab, enter the import structure information. For example, enter Parameter Name (table name, such as LIKP), Type Assignment: Type, Reference Type (table name), Optional (or Mandatory); Pass Val: (Passing value indicator). This must be done for all the data retrieved from the SAP tables.
Step 3. Remove irrelevant or unnecessary windows. To delete a navigational menu node, right-click on the node, and select Delete. Since you start with windows in SAPscript, there might be redundant windows created for text.
Step 4. Set the first page. Delete the NEXT page node on the menu tree. Double-click on the first page node. In the General Attributes tab, change the Next Page value to FIRST.
Step 5. Delete the DETAIL frame window. Expand the MAIN window and delete all its text nodes.
Step 6. Adjust the text nodes. Click on the text nodes and let the system fit the text.
Step 7. Save and check the syntax.
