  • Login problem after upgrade to mavericks

    Hi, i have login problem after upgrade from mountain lion to movericks in imac, I did enter the correct password But back to the login page again.

    Hi cpuman8,
    Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
    If you're not able to log in to your user account after upgrading, try resetting your password using the method in this article:
    Resetting the original administrator account password
    In OS X Lion or later, you can reset your user password with your Apple ID.

  • Problem in configuring SSO using SAML for applications hosted on diff m/c

    Hi Techies,
    I am stuck in a weird problem for past month or so without any resolution. Not much help by googling. So I hope i get the answer from the mouth of the horses -
    I am trying to use SSO using the sample application appA and appB as stated in the tutorial of SSO by BEA.
    I am summarizing the problem below -
    Steps followed for Configuring SSO using SAML
    1. Created 2 domains on 2 seperate machines namely domainA and domainB
    2. Source appliction is deployed on domainA and the target application is deployed on domaninB
    The steps mentioned in the following tutorial has been followed-
    http://dev2dev.bea.com/pub/a/2006/12/sso-with-saml.html
    3. As mentioned in the tutorial the certificate is generated using keytool utility. The same certificate is copied
    to WEBLOGIC_HOME/server/lib of destination machine.
    4. The certificate was successfully registered on desitnation or host 2 but while activating the configuration
    changes(SSL client Ientity Alias and SSL Client Identity Pass Phrase) for Federation services the following error
    is thrown -
    " SAMLBeanUpdateListener: SAMLKeyManager.prepareUpdate() failed with exception:
    weblogic.descriptor.BeanUpdateRejectedException: SAML key Manage failed to validate key (SSL Client) configuration
    in the FederationServicesMBean, key alias: testalias "
    The interesting bit of the problem is that the same configuration works on 2 domains created on same machine. The
    problem only occurs when domains are created on seperate machines.
    Alterative to the problem: when the certificate is generated seperately for domainB and copied to
    WEBLOGIC_HOME/server/lib, it works. However, the certificate generated in domainA should have been copied.
    Note: I am using Weblogic portal 9.2.1
    Any quick replies will be much appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi François,
    You are right about the use of the NameID format. But the issue here is/was that OIF at SP is integrated with OAM, and the authenticated user at OIF-SP and OAM will be the Anonymous user rather than the user who was identified at the IdP even though the remaining attributes sent are for the IdP user. I think these attributes can be used by with OAM for authorization using custom authorization plug-ins but haven't tried that one out.
    As for the attribute sharing profile, it's this one - http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/18058/sstc-saml-x509-authn-attrib-profile-cd-02.pdf, although for the life of me, I cannot remember why I suggested this in the first place!

  • Login problems after update to Safari 3.1

    Hi, ever since I updated to Safari 3.1.0 I have been unable to login to any site that requests a login. I have checked if it has a problem with secure websites and I can load a secure page ie: https://www.verisign.com with no problem, also seems happy if I used any site that had been logged into before. The later no longer work after I cleared the cache and cookies to try to fix the login problem. I have run all updates so am on 3.1.2 with no change. Strange thing is, I can get to any site with login on Firefox and camino with out problems. Any ideas to help fix this as it's driving me nuts.

    I have the same problem. I enter username and password and I get dumped back to the login screen. It isn't the username/password error screen, it is the original login screen.
    I've reset/trashed everything I can think of but that hasn't helped.
    Anyone know where I can get a 3.0 version?

  • Login problem after testing upgrade today

    Yeah problem after upgrade again   After i enter my username and password to login to Gnome, i get the message
    Your session only tested less than 10 seconds. If you
    have not logged out yourself, this could mean that there
    is some installation problem or that you may be out of
    diskspace. Try logging in with one of the failsafe
    sessions to see if you can fix this problem
    I sure am not out of disk space so what could the problem be? I am using windows for now till i can find a solution.
    Thanks.

  • Login problem after locking Mac overnight

    We have a number of Mac users who are experiencing a similar login problem and we're at a loss to understand why. We are having the same issue on MacBook, MacBook Pro, Mac Pro, and iMac. Most are using 10.5.6, a few earlier versions. Most have the lastest updates, a couple don't. Each has different energy saving settings as well. So, the issue seems to affect different computer conditions. Also, one user has reset the SMC, but that doesn't work for the Mac Pros, so that's probably not the issue. Below is the original email I got from a user so you can see exactly what is happening.
    "I lock my screen when the screensaver is enabled and it works perfectly except when I leave the system locked for a day or more. After being locked for a long period of time it takes a very long time to unlock. For example, I leave at 3PM on Friday afternoon and lock the machine. When I arrive at 8AM on Monday morning it always takes 5-10 minutes unlock the machine. I enter my password and it appears to be attempting to check the password but it just sits there until it eventually fails and says “Please try again.” My password is still entered so I just click “Okay” and it logs me in instantly."
    If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate it.

    Thanks for the reply. In answer to your question though about shutting down, the users sometimes need to remote into their computer, so shutting down is not really an option.
    How do I view the console logs?
    In the utilities directory, run console.app
    You can search by date or look at the various logs - error logs, normal logs, etc.
    If I do find that one or more applications are causing a problem, is it then just a matter of sutting them down before logging off? It is just kind of unusual in my opinion that this is affecting so many users running so many variations of software, computers, etc.
    It may be one app thta is common to all the computers. If an app is not properly written, it may cause a problem if it is forced to shutdown from an external program. When a computer shuts down, there is a signal sent out but unless the app responds to it properly, the app may essentially undergo an unexpected forced shutdown and when restarted need to recover.
    Also, if for some reason the Leopard filesystem is flagged as not being properly shutdown, it may run an fsck upon boot, which takes some time, or it may simply copy journaled data which is faster but also make the restart appear slow. These items should show up in the console logs.

  • Problem during configuring SSO with APEX 4.1

    Hello everybody,
    I'm trying to configure my APEX application to use SSO, but I have big problems with ssosdk902.zip file.
    During execution of the loadsdk.sql script it creates package "wwsec_sso_enabler" but APEX 4.1 wants to have "wwsec_sso_enabler_private". For me it a clear sign, that I'm using some old SSOSDK.
    Can somebody tell me where to find the current "ssosdk"?
    I'm using OAS10gR2 and the interesting thing is that in the DB schema ORASSO package "wwsec_sso_enabler_private" exists, but it doesn't helps me. It is at the other machine. I must have it on the same instance, where APEX is running.
    It looks like packaging error by Oracle. Can somebody help me?
    Thanks,
    Ianko

    Hi Anton,
    that's why I added the IF statement around the code block, to guarantee that it only runs if the URL contains auto-login data (i.e. P101_UNAME). Setting FSP_AFTER_LOGIN_URL to null avoids a loop when the login fails. If we keep FSP_AFTER_LOGIN_URL, the wwv_flow_custom_auth_std.login procedure will redirect to page 101 and the before header process will run again, re-executing wwv_flow_custom_auth_std.login , etc.
    It might be clearer to put the before header code into the authentication itself. The invalid session procedure is the right place for that, but it's use is very sparsely documented yet.
    I created a 2nd copy of your original application (22274), where I removed the before header process and added this invalid session procedure:
    procedure autologon_on_invalid_session
    is
      v_user                VARCHAR2(4000);
      v_pass                VARCHAR2(4000);
      v_fsp_after_login_url VARCHAR2(4000) := :FSP_AFTER_LOGIN_URL;
      v_user_pos            pls_integer    := instr(v_fsp_after_login_url, 'P101_UNAME:');
    BEGIN
      if apex_application.g_flow_step_id != 101 and v_user_pos > 0 then
        v_user := substr(v_fsp_after_login_url, v_user_pos+11);
        wwv_flow_custom_auth_std.login(
            P_UNAME       => v_user,
            P_PASSWORD    => v_pass,
            P_SESSION_ID  => v('APP_SESSION'),
            P_FLOW_PAGE   => :APP_ID||':1' );
        apex_application.stop_apex_engine;
      end if;
    END;If the current page is not 101 (the login page) and the URL (which was copied into the deep link item) contains the autologin credentials, call login. The finall call to apex_application.stop_apex_engine stops Apex from continuing it's default invalid session handling, which is to redirect to the login page.

    Was happily plugging away at my three-day-old N97 and decided to purchase the upgrade for the QuickOffice suite of apps that came preinstalled. Installed the new version, at the end of which the Installer requested a phone restart.
    When it was starting up, a message stating "system error" popped up. Ever since, I cannot get into the Menu screen, since the same message appears, with an "Ok" item to press. The phone apperas to be working just fine and I can even get into apps by configuring one of the shortcuts in the Standby screen. After backing it up, tried uninstalling all the apps I had recently added, to no avail. In desperation, even reinstalled the firmware via the firmware updater module of the PC Suite, no avail!
    What should I try to get it back to 100%?
    Try a hard reset. If it doesn't work, take your phone to a Nokia Care Point.
    Hard reset. Turn off the phone. Press and hold three keys together, the green key, the * key and the number '3'.Then, turn on the phone and don't let the three keys before you see the Nokia hands logo.
    For 5800 XM hard reset need different keys. The green key, the red key and the camera button.The process is the same.
    And, for N97 go to /discussions/board/message?board.id=smartphones&message.id=158831&query.id=591236#M158831

    DocumentRoot E:\ORAPOR\Apache\Apache\htdocs

  • Login problem after upgrade

    Hi all,
    well my prolem is the following:
    I recently upgrade my system. But, since, I'm unable to login correctly using slim. All I have is a "login command fails" message.
    This problem happens when I try to log as a normal user but also as root.
    Also, I'm unable to log on from the shell into X as a normal user. Its works when I'm root.
    I've looked at the log files, but there is nothing special here.
    Same is also true for the config files.
    Anyone who had this before?
    Update: Oupsss wrong category Sorry:/

  • Mail login problems after sleep (lion/MBP)

    Sometimes after sleep, Mail will not load passwords from the keychain.  I have to force quit Mail and restart it once or twice -- then it functions normally again.  So, I know that the passwords are indeed saved and accessible, it's just that Mail doesn't find them after sleep.  Any ideas??  I have an active internet connection at these times, as I start up Safari first which loads any page just fine. Thanks in advance for any input!  (This problem started with a new MBP & Lion.

    Hello,
    I share the same problems as you do with my MacBook Pro Late 2011.
    For me this has happened only since I have upgraded to Mac OS X 10.8
    I must say it has got a little better and does now go online fine after coming out of sleep once I applied the 10.8.2 update the other day.
    I wonder if this is a bug relating to the different account types. I have a few email accounts running and like you these are, POP, IMAP and MS Exchange. Maybe if it had one account it's fine and that is the reason why not many people have complained about it?
