LONG string formatting problem- do you have answers?

Hi,
When I start my movie, I am trying to set a variable using a LONG string- concatenating "text" and getAt(x,y). I saw a solution some time ago utilizing backslashes. i keep getting the error message "variable used befroe assigned a value".
My variable is "bodder" and the string is "I can't get there until " & getAt(x,y) & ". You may have to ask a co-worker for a ride, or catch the next commuter train."
"bodder" is included as a global.
My code is: bodder = string( "I can't get there until " & getAt(x,y) & ". You may have to ask a co-worker for a ride, " \
"or catch the next commuter train.")

I just used 'x' and 'y' in my post to fill-in the blanks.
I have a list with a different name, which I access/reference throughtout the movie successfully.

Assuming you registered your older version, you can retrieve the serial number by going to Adobe's site and go into your account. On this page, click the My products link in the right hand column of the first three. You'll be asked to enter your user account name and password. Once in, a list of all software you've purchased will be shown, along with their serial numbers.
That said, it really won't help you much. A PowerPC only version of InDesign means it's no newer than the original CS version, and won't be worth a cent towards an upgrade discount. To get CS6, you'd have to pay full price again.

When was the last time you blew out the dust from inside your machine?

ITunes migration problem - do you have a solution?

Problem:
I need to migrate a 120GB hard drive OS 10.3.9 system to a 75GB partition on a new hard drive. I have an iTunes music folder which is about 70 GB. I also just purchased SuperDuper! to help with the system cloning. I also have two SATA 300GB drives - oneof which I want to house the iTunes music folder on.
Question:
So, how do I do this and retain all of my preferences (iTunes playlists, playcounts, etc.)? I did a full copy/backup of the 120GB system using SuperDuper! to the second SATA drive for safe keeping.
A couple of other questions; 1) how would I do this for iPhoto and iMovie (how do I copy the data to the SATA drive and then have all of the preferences stay on the new 75GB PATA drive partition?

I have a variation of this question. I've looked at the article and don't get an exact answer for myself.
I have a new iMac PPC G5 and don't want to lose any of my ratings or dates downloaded info for iTunes on the old machine.
Migration assistant is not working for me so I've tried to do the work manually.
I have all my music and most info successfully moved, placed as it was on my old ~music/itunes.... location.
But, I did not get and do not see how to get the info on my ratings and date/time downloaded.
Any ideas.
I'm connected to the old hard drive via a Firewire and am in the Firewire target mode.

OK, so I have the Apple TV 3, iMac with Mountain Lin, iTunes 11, iPad 3 with iOS 6.
All on the same home network.
All signed in with the same Apple ID.
All with home sharing enabled.
But home sharing does not work!

Try rebooting all devices including the router.

Every day I convert Pages Docs to Word and PDF to forward to clients .. and all of the sudden last night Pages wouldn't let me convert. it was late -- I was frustrated, so I thought it was just me. Although, I only read your long reply first, to solve the problem that you have written before to someone else! It did not work exactly as you wrote, but you sent me in the right direction. Since, iPad did not have any data anyway, it did not matter if I lose any data in the process, I did not need to back any saved data. I pressed all the buttons and held it for different times and I don't know how it happened but eventially it turned on (logo picture apple appeared) and it was initialized! Thank you!

Struts String Array problem:

I'm working on a DynaValidatorForm in struts and I'm not able to define my string arrays without compile errors in WSAD 5.0 and it doesn't work right with the validator for those two items. WSAD 5.0 uses a 1.3 beta version of struts and that may be the problem or it may be a bug in the validator. Not sure which. This is what I have in the struts-config.xml file for the form-bean:

I don't know how to solve it, but I'd wonder about the need to validate the array of Strings. I think that should just be a String type.
If you have String arrays to populate a drop-down list, I think the assumption has to be that the drop-down has been populated properly. There's no need to re-check it every time. Even if the list is changing, because its contents are driven by another selection, the responsibility for getting those values correct lie outside the validator's domain.
And since the single selection that's actually sent as input comes from an array of valid values, there's no opportunity for the user to send an invalid value.
I think the validation framework is for checking manual, typed user input to make sure they're the correct types, no typo errors, etc.
Business validity is another matter that the Struts validation framework shouldn't address. Those business rules belong on the middle tier, IMO.

I've done a separate search and found that other users are affected, but there doesn't seem to be a clear-cut solution ... (Norton, McAfee and Kaspersky don't seem to be able to detect/fix it).
I'd like to continue using the Firefox/Google combination (nb: the hijack virus also affects IE but not Safari) - do you have a patch/fix that could rectify the vulnerability in your software?

Go tot the Apple support troubleshooting area I had the same problem. You have to remove all the apple stuff in a particular order then reinstall/dowmload i tunes again it worked for me, a pain yes!
