Lookout 5.1 - errors with recoursive text expression : test process

For all the lookout developers
I've developed an example with one recoursive text expression that doesn't work correctly.
The lookout verion is the 5.1.
Normally I use this expressions when I develop HMI applications and the example represent the 1% of this expressions.

Hi,
The value on "Recursive text expression" will never be different of a saved and not modified value, unless you make a modification in your process file and save the modifications.

RSLPreloader error with TLF Text

Got a working Windows Flash Projector that loads swf's identified in an xml file and plays them in sequence.
The projector will NOT play any swf that contains TLF text, and throws this error:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
    at fl.rsl::RSLPreloader/loadContent()
    at a1_fla::MainTimeline__Preloader__/frame2()
Error: Error #2099: The loading object is not sufficiently loaded to provide this information.
The file "textLayout_1.030.595.swz" is in the same folder as the .exe   I've tried it also in the folder with the swf's without success.
According to the article "How to Publish SWF files with TLF text" (http://www.flashconf.com/flash-cs5/how-to-publish-swf-files-with-tlf-text/) having the textLayout.... file available should do the trick... It Doesn't.
I've also published the projector with the "Merged Into Code" option they offer and gotten no better results.

If you've merged the code that was in the RSL into your SWF file, wouldn't you then also need to stop doing any RSLPreloading?
Did you get anywhere with this in the end? Just run into this issue ourselves, going to try merging the code and see if that works. Let you know if we get anywhere with it!

There is no way of knowing. And, ss the reconditioned one will be indistinguishable from new, it doesn't make uch difference.

BCP - Error with column text in sql server 2000

Installation errors with Oracle 10g Express Edition client.

I want to use the Oracle 10g XE client on my Ubuntu (Lucid) laptop. I am following the installation instructions as mentioned at Installing Database Oracle XE Client. When I run the .sh file for my bash shell, I keep getting this error message:

So, I have been searching around to look for a method to enable the client installed on my laptop to connect to the database. Granted that, the server is not installed on my local machine. But, I am simply, unable to find any clues as to how do I specify the database name that the client should connect. The ORACLE_SID parameter needs to hold a database name; but, where are the IP address and port number mentioned for the database ? One site recommended that tnsping be used to check for database existence; whereas, tnsping is not installed. Then, the commonest hint that I keep bumping into - TNSNAMES.ORA file. Since I have only the client installed, I don't even see the network/admin folder (or whatever the path is to the .ora file) under /usr/lib/oracle/xe/app/oracle/product/10.2.0.
It can't be this hard to connect to an Oracle server with only a itsy-bitsy Oracle installed on my local machine, hmmm ?

Error with PS text after Unicode conversion

Hi, we are having problem after doing unicode conversion with special
character not displayed correctly in a Web interface. In SAP
(transaction CN04) everything is OK, but if the PS text is displayed
through a Web interface (BSP for instance) some characters are
displayed wrong. One of these characters is the apostrophe in French
language ('). Is there an available tool to perform a conversion of
existing PS text after performing unicode upgrade ?

Proxy error with subversion read access test

Hi,
I specified the following repository URL: [http://l0762.domain.local/svn/io_se/trunk] and added username/password for this subversion server.

In the generic preferences settings for Web Browser and Proxy, I have specified the proxy server, port number and even username/password for this proxy. The "Test Proxy" works fine. The exception list contains the l0762.domain.local. I also tested with *.domain.local.
Any ideas?

The problem is resolved by removing the proxy preference.

Error With Export/Print from Crystal Report Viewer

Hello there,
I've searched through the web and SAP discussion boards with not much luck with this issue.
After working through this for some days now I've decided to look here for help.
Environment:
I have created a web Crystal Report viewer application(Developed with SBOP BI Platform 4.0 SP06 .NET SDK Runtime) that communicates with a managed Cyrstal Server 2011 SP4 (Product 14.0)
I am able to connect and authenticate with the server, retrieve a token for communication and display reports in the Crystal report Viewer successfully.
Problem:
When I attempt to export, I receive the prompt to select format and pages.
When I click export after selections most times I receive an error with the text
Unable to cast COM object of type 'System.__ComObject' to interface type 'CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.DataDefModel.PropertyBag'. This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID '{74EEBC42-6C5D-11D3-9172-00902741EE7C}' failed due to the following error: No such interface supported (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004002 (E_NOINTERFACE)).
Other times the page simply refreshes on export.
When I click to print, no print dialog is displayed the page always refreshes and no error is displayed.
No Print or Export document is ever created.
As many print/export issues seems to be related, I'm guessing this two issues are as well.
Notes:
I am utilizing the ReportClientDocument model
I am storing this in session to use as the crystal report viewer report source on postbacks
I am assigning a subset of export formats to the crystal report viewer
I am setting particular parameters as well on the report source
At this point I would appreciate every assistance I may receive on this issue

In response to your questions
The runtime is installed on the web application server, if by that you mean the machine hosting the created .NET SDK application.
My question was whether it was also required on the Crystal Server 2011 (I.E. the main enterprise server with CMS and Report management and I guess RAS and all that). I figured this would remain untouched and queries would simply be made against it to retrieve/view reports e.t.c
If install of the SDK on Crystal Server 2011 is indeed required should I expect any interruption to any of the core services after a restart. I.E. I'm hoping that none of the SDK objects would interfere with the existing server objects (in SAP Business Objects)Reason I ask is I note that much of the SDK install directories are similar to the existing Crystal Enterprise Server 2011 (Product 14.0.0)
Is this temp folder to be manually created/configured or is it created by the application automatically to perform tasks. Or are you referring to the default C:\Windows\Temp directory and so saying that the application would try to use this for print and export tasks?Once I'm sure which I'd give the app pool user permission
Printing is to be client side but I figured by default (with the Crystal Report Viewer) it would simply pool and print from the user's printer. This is how it works with the previously used URL reporting approach (viewrpt.cwr). Therefore a user can print the document from wherever they are with their own printer.We don't intend on printing from the server machine, but are you suggesting that a printer must be installed on server (which one web or enterprise server) for any client side printing to work.
App pool is running in 32 bit mode
Initially didn't get anything useful from fiddler but I'd try and look closer on your suggestion.
It's also possible that some of my questions are a misunderstanding of APP vs RAS vs WEB, so please feel free to clarify. Currently I see the Web server as simply the created .NET SDK Application and RAS (Crystal Server 2011 e.t.c) as the existing fully established Application server which I simply pool for information.

StatusBar Text Matching Test

While playing back load script, the following Status Bar Text Matching test failed. The error message :
StatusBar Text Matching Test "FormsLT AutoValidation: Verify StatusBar text value" failed. Failed to match "FRM-40400: Transaction complete: 1 records applied and saved.".
Please help me to resolve this

Maybe because you have more than one record applied and saved.... or a functional problem.
You can verify the screenshot taken by OpenScript to see the real value displayed.
Hard to tell you more without more information actually.
You can edit the Status Bard test and paramaterize it if needed. You could even remove iit if you want to do so. However not a good idea.

1) check if the ipod constantly appears in mycomputer section .
- if it does try changing the drive letter of the ipod and try to format the ipod drive(Right click format)
2) if its not comin up in mycomputer then.. there has to be problem with the USB drivers in your computer

Case expression error with a select query in the condition

Consider the two query below:
1. The first one use a case expression :
select case when 3 > (select 1 from dual)*2 then 1 else 0 end from dual
2. The equivalent with a decode expression:

The first query return an ORA-00905 error but not the second one. It seems that the arithmetic operation (select 1 from dual)*2 cause the error. The folowing query doesn't return this error:
select case when 3 > (select 2 from dual) then 1 else 0 end from dual
I run the test with Oracle 8.1.7.3 Enterprise Edition. Is it a known bug ?

Error Box displays in JClient Form with no text (preview 9.0.3)

I am using Preview 9.0.3, with a JClient Form, running as an applet. When I execute the applet within JDeveloper, an Error box displays, but has NO text. When I try to close the box, it just keeps redisplaying, with no text. I am using the -Djbo.debugoutput=console, and the last statement to be logged is the SELECT statement from the Entity Object I am working with.
Is there any other diagnostic logging I can turn on to find out what the error is?
Any ideas?

Open up Project settings. In the Runner panel, provide runtime option : -Djbo.debugoutput=console

Error with sales order header text

Hi All,
I am getting 3 texts from 850 IDOC on to Sales order header texts. I created 3 new textid's for them. This is working properly in Dev system and I just moved them to Test system. I created a sales order by using the IDOC. I tried to go to order header texts and it is giving me the error saying 'Error in opening text file'.
"The SD_WORD_PROCESSING function module is for creating the "Maintain Text" dialog box. You have called up the function module with the wrong values so it is not possible to edit text properly.
Check the parameters for the SD_WORD_PROCESSING_PUT function module."

Hi Helios,
That got resolved after I added the location of the dll in the PATH.
Now i m getting LINK : fatal error LNK1181: cannot open input file 'LIB/KERNEL32.LIB'
