Lookup query to get Manager ID value on object form

Hi ,
I have created a Manager ID field on object form which is of type lookup field.
Can any one please tell me that how can i write Lookup query to get Manager ID value on object form.

Run query and get unexpected node values

Hi,
I am not seeing what should be expected when I run my query, and I am getting the display of the hierarchy nodes that I am not supposed to get access to. I checked my profile and I have the 0COSTCENTER as '*' and TCTAUTHH as ':' .
Where should I start finding why I am getting the node values displayed that I am not supposed to?

I think you should better post it to the BI forum.
Did you try to use the user exit EXIT_SAPLRRS0_001 (extension RSR00001) to initialize the values? And for bypassing the selection screen, can't you define it in the query definition (if I remember well)?

Urgent - can't set managed bean value using a form, getting null

I have a form with a bean -- unbelievably, I can't get the values entered into the form by the user to get stored into the bean. Everything is null... I've looked at a zillion examples, posts and compared etc...yet still can't see what is missing.
Here's part of a trace :

I solved this.
Since I was testing the action code only, I didn't define a navigation entry corresponding to the action string returned for this button:

</h:commandButton>After I added a nav definition, it worked. I don't know why at this point. I suspect a key step in the lifecycle was pre-empted...someone else can probably explain why. If I get a chance to research it after I'm done with my project, I'll update this post.

Query to get not matching values

Hello ,
i want to create a query between two tables , the name column is a primary key in first table and forigen key on the second table .

name varchar2(20) -- primary key
value number(11,2)
t2--
name varchar2(20) -- forigen key
value number(11,2)
i am trying to get the name which the values is not match in both table .
note: the second table maybe there is more then 1 record for the name

i want help with a query that would get me the next highest value from a table for a given value passed. Let say these are the values in col of a table

the expirtation date is the last day when yyou can pay after thar the bill start to charge interests from the first month of the trimester
The value of interests change year by year.
I need a query or a function maybe a procedure that returns the total value of the bill changing the interest charged year after year.

now for expample the registry from sm_costeras _planillas with id 4284 has a bill on julsep of 2012 that does not need to be charge
the registry 3673 bill is on octdic of 2011 so as it is from the las year it charges the anual income for this year %12.78 plus the income of this year's trimesters
if the registry is from 2009 the charge will be the incom of year 2009 plus 2010 plus2011 and the income of this year's trimesters
the incomes charged on the value of the bill is complete y the expiration date is done then the bill of the trimester is complete also y the bill was on 30 dec of any year the bill is charge with the full year income even if its just for 2 days

SQL Query to get Date Range Values

The database is Oracle11i.
I am looking for a way to generate list of dates from a fixed date in the past (could be hardcoded) to current day (sysdate).
That is, if the fixed date is 19 June 2011 and assuming that today is 24 June 2011 the SQL should be able to generate the
following:-
19-June-2011
20-June-2011
21-June-2011
22-June-2011
23-June-2011
24-June-2011
And the constraint is that I can't make any change to the database in question. I can only fire an SQL query (SELECT). No
usage of time dimension kind of approach (time dimension is not available here) and no procedures, PL/SQL etc. Is there any way?

Hi Janakiraman,
I think you have misundertand something. What do you wanth to get? If you need to have one Base Price list, and then some other price lists based on this one, you could use any of the 10, and then on the derivated price lists say they are based on the Base Price list.
But there isn´t any standard Base Price.
Perhaps if you explain what you need(your goal), we could help you better.

Forms need to get next record value in tabular forms, update # on delete

In a tabular form (multirecord)...when i enter + to add the first record , it should add 1 in this item 'order' and if i hit + again then it should enter 2 and so on....
where users would enter different records at once and save it .However if they were to delete a record in the middle ...

and delete 2 and 3 then # 4 should be 2 and # 5 should be 3 and #6 would be 4 . if they are to add a new record then it should assign the next number which would be 5
what i have done is created a non database item in that block and made it a summary field with max
and in the when_new__record_instance trigger...i am doing somthing like
If block.item is NULL
THEN
block.item = block.non_database_item +1
end if
got this from a post here by Francois...
it is adding just 1 everytime i hit + to add a new record...when the item is null in the beginning. However if i save the first record then click + to add new record then it goes inseries like 2..3..4....

Hi Beibei,
The table FND_FLEX_VALUES_VL can give you details of values available in the Value set i.e. 1 segment at a time.
If you are looking for a concatenated view of Accounting Flexfield values, that would be available in GL_CODE_COMBINATIONS table.

Need help in SQL query to get only distinct records

Hi all.
I am new to oracle SQL and i want to write a query to get only distinct values from 2 tables.
for example i hade 2 tables table1(employee_id,employee_no,grade) and another table2 with same structure.
for example data in table1 is
Employeeid employeeno Grade
1 101 A
1 101 B
1 101 E
1 101 D
and data in table 2 is
Employeeid employeeno Grade
1 101 A
1 101 B
1 101 E
i want to display only the fourth row like the data that doesnt exist in table2 i,e (1 101 D)
I had too much records in both tables and i jst want to see the records that is in table 1 not in table 2 only.
employeeid and employeeno are the same in both tables
I hope u understand my query. I user left outer join and right outer join bt it displays all the results that and matching and unmatching. I want jst unmatched records.
Any help is highly Appreciated.

OIM Lookup query question

Hi All,
do you think is possible to define a lookup query to display the DECODE value and store the CODE vale in the DB(the same behaviour having Lookup code)?. I tried several configurations but no way, seems that OIM show and store the value present in the "Lookup Column Name" attribute.

Query to set item default value

I'm trying to set a default value of an item by using a query. The first thing I tried is setting the source value to be:

with item display type as Text, source type SQL Query. This displayed the value in the form, but did not save to the DB. (I tried all the other display types for text too)
The next thing I tried (a suggestion for someone else in the forum) was set item display type is Display as Text (based on PL/SQL, does not save state), and the source type is PL/SQL Anonymous Block, with this query:

In case anyone else is new to HTMLDB and needs the answer to this question, I finally figured it out.
In the Item the Display is Text Field, Source Used is Always..., Source Type Database Column, Source Value EXPAND_REQ_ID, Default Value &P2_EXPAND_REQ_ID., Default Value Type is Static Text...
Then I created a Before Region computation, type sql Query, entered my query in the computation,
select Condition Type Value of Item in Expression 1 is NULL, Expression 1 is P2_EXPAND_REQ_ID.
Not so difficult, it just took a lot of time to try all the options.

In EKPO, it will show PO+Line item value, but the user requirement is to see PO total value under 5000 local currency.

I will try again. For example, I have a table (Payments) that has 5 records. The 5 Payments table records has $24.45 entered all for the same person, Billy Bob that totals $122.25. I have a table (Members) that Billy Bob is one of 10 records. The query:QryTotalAmtDueBy
returns 1 result (record) and it is only for Billy Bob for $122.25 because he is the only one entered in the Payments table. Total Amount Due: Sum([PaymentAmount]-[PPUnionDuesAmountNoDeduct])
When I enter into the control source for text box:
TextBoxTotalAmountDueToDateTab5 the expression: =DLookUp("[Total Amount Due]","[QryTotalAmtDueBy]","[MemberID]=" & [Forms]![Branch 142 Membership]![MemberID]) on the form: Branch 142 Membership. I get the
