Loop in subVI to be stopped by control in calling VI.

I have a loop in a subVI that is supposed to run untill a stop-button is pressed in the calling VI. This doesn't work due to data flow issues. It has coem to my attention that this can be done using references, invoke nodes and/or property nodes. How is this done?

The main program is a long series of events connected by an error wire. The image shows only the relevant function call.

    how to stop voice control?

    Hi Joannewpark,
Press your Home Button to get to the Home Screen.
Press Settings, then press again 2x fast - you will go to the Settings screen
Press on General, then press again 2x fast - you will go to the General screen
Use 2 fingers to indicate scroll up - Voice Over will begin to read the items on the screen, and will eventually get to the Accessibility option. When it says "Accessibility" press on it, then press on it 2x fast
It will go to the Accessibility screen, tap on the Voice Over option one, and then again 2x fast, now tap on the Voice Over option again, and then double tap to turn it off.
    Cheers,

  • Is there any way to stop "Voice Control"?

    Hiya
I am hoping one of you will be able to help me with this......
Tonight my phone has started to beep and then on the screen it shows "Voice Control" with a list of question ideas to ask voice control.
I have read that "Voice Control" cant be disabled but have seen a couple of ideas on how to get around it but for some reason they arent working on my phone and it keeps interupting my messages, etc when Im half way through using my phone.
I have tried to turn on Siri hoping that it would stop Voice Control coming up on my phone but that didnt work.
I have tried activating "Switch Control" because apparently they both cant run at the same time....didnt work for me.
I have tried Assistive Touch and nope that hasnt worked either.
I have even tried to reset my phone then back it up from the last time i had on,my computer. Didnt work.
Only thing I have read that I havent tried is the reset my phone and start from the begining with it.
I have looked around and read a lot of forums but I was hoping someone might have had the same problem as me and might be able to tell me if it can be fixed or what happened with theirs?
I have no idea why this is happening or why its happened today. I havent dropped it or anything like that and the phone is just over a year old so its not under warranty unfortunately.
Voice control is different then the Voice Over option too
I think my home button may be sticking and the "three clicks on the home button" is to go to my voice control.
Thanks for your help! Appreciate it
    Thanks!

Voice control can to be disabled. Sounds to me like you have a broken/defective home button. Make an appointment at the genius bar and have it looked at.

  • Can i stop the control bar coming up when scrolling

Can I stop the control bar coming up when I am scrolling.  I seem to hit it a lot and would prefer to remove it.

I keep hitting it as well. I think you can turn control Center off.
I haven't tried because it is handy.

How do you stop Voice Control?

Unfortunately, "Stop pressing and holding the Home button" only works if it is an intentional action. Obviously, this is not the problem. The problem occurs when the button is depressed and held ACCIDENTALLY! Like, when your iPhone or iPod is in your pocket, or purse. This is how butt-dialing occurs: the button gets depressed, the voice control comes on, and then the imperfect software mis-registers the next random sound as a voice command, resulting in a random call to a random contact.
It is a very annoying "feature" to say the least. And the fact that it cannot be disabled only makes it more infuriating.

  • Stopping Siri from making calls

Hi guys, is there anyway of stopping Siri from making calls? The problem I am having is that I use Siri on my motorcycle and at high speeds it gets the commands wrong. For example, I say 'play podcasts' and it calls one of my contacts.
    Ross

    My bad.
I had Airplane mode on but WiFi was also still on when I tested it on my phone.
    Scratch that idea...
    Here's another one.
If you turn off Siri altogether, you'll revert to the older Voice Control which doesn't rely on a nertwork connection.
Perhaps, that mode will be less likely to misunderstand than Siri.

Ring duration & voicemail are all controlled by your carrier. Your issue seems to be voicemail...doesn't appear to be setup on your phone. I'm not aware of any carrier that permits a cell phone to ring longer than 30 ~ 40 seconds, so that appears to be normal. Contact your carrier as it looks like your issue is voicemail.

  • HT4623 My voice mail has suddenly stopped working. A caller just hears ringing for a long tome and then it disconnects. Does anyone know how to get it back or how VM stopped working? Thanks.

Hi everyone. My voicemail just stopped working. A caller today said they got a message that it was not activated or something like that. When I called it from another phone all I got was ringing for a long time and then a disconnect. I have had this phone for about three months and it has been working until now.
I updated software and turned the phone off and on again. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

I know this email is confusing and really hard to understand...perhaps now you will know how i've been feeling--lost and confused with all the mis-information, with a hit and miss phone, and out of time with all the 1 1/2 hr to 2 hrs EACH wasted on this issue.
On top of all this, I can't even find out how to file a complaint with anyone higher up than Customer Service.
I hate to tell you this, but you didn't write an email. You wrote a discussion post on the Verizon Wireless Community forum which is a public peer to peer forum. Unfortunately since you didn't mark your post as a question, the VZW reps that roam this community won't ever see your post. Before you re-post it, don't. Duplicate posts get removed from the community.
I see there were several missteps both by the reps and yourself in your post. First you should have insisted on returning the phone within the 14 day return policy period. Second which Samsung Galaxy mini model did you purchase? The S3 mini or the S4 mini? Did you do any research prior to deciding on this device. The reps at that time deflected the easiest course of action, by trying to get you to replace the phone under insurance instead of returning the phone. The Early Edge payment option requires the current phone on the line using the early Edge must be returned to Verizon Wireless. Did you once considered going to a third party site like Swappa to purchase a gently used device for your daughter?

  • How do I stop the harrassing phone calls?

I have previously posted about the deceitful communication I received from Comcast regarding the need to update my modem.  I finally received an intelligent answer about the issues, so thank you for that Comcast.  HOWEVER, I continue to receive robocalls at least weekly, telling me to replace my modem, and timed to wake my family up when we need to be sleeping.  Message received about the modem, you can stop now.  I've updated my account preferences to indicate that I don't wish to receive any promotional communications, but that hasn't stopped them.  I called and spoke to a customer service rep and she said the only way I could stop the phone calls was to joint the national "Do Not Call" list.  Seriously?  You're my phone company, not sleezy telemarketers (I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt on this).  When I ask you to stop bothering me about this, you need to stop.  To be as clear as I can, the only communication I want from Comcast is to tell me about real-time service disruption issues, and to let me know my bill is ready to be paid.  Stop the rest, or tell me how to do that on your website.

You need to take my word for it that Comcast has erred way beyond the line of overcommunication.  I've discussed the modem issue fully with your representatives, and I understand the problem.  I choose not to replace my modem at this time.  I don't need a phone call every week for months to tell me about my modem.  When I have repeatedly asked to stop receiving communication on this issue, Comcast is not being helpful, it is being arrogant and harrassing.  With regard to the timing of the calls, you are correct that they are occuring during those hours.  However, those are the hours when my family is sleeping.  Again, since I've asked to stop receiving phone calls, and I'm fully capable of determining what information I need to receive, your opinion that its okay to harrass me, as long as you do so during the day is ignorant and arrogant.

  • When my wifes IPhone 4 8gb receives a call the caller will hear 1 or 2 rings then the ringing stop, however if the caller stays on the line she will answer the call, the incoming rings is not interupted but the outgoing ring (from the caller) has stopped.

When my wife's IPhone 4 8gb receives a call, the caller will hear 1 or 2 rings then the ringing stops, however if the caller waits during the silence my wife will answer the phone because she is actually hearing the ringing. The incoming ring is only is only interrupted by those who are calling her, and is not affected as to when she receives the call.  Most callers feel the call has either dropped or the Iphone is not being answered.  Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the issue/s are occurring?

  • Treo stops responding after phone calls

I can take a call.  Stay on the phone for a few minutes.  Hangup the call and then the phone functionality will not work.  The phone is locked up.  Other menus do work and I can open and close applications.
Post relates to: Treo 800w (Sprint)

The phone function is a built in part of the Operating System on the device and if it stops working after 1 call this would mean there is a problem with the OS on the unit.
I would suggest you hot sync and then do a hard reset on the unit and test the phone again if it works correctly then it could mean there is something that is syncing over to the palm that is corrupting the OS.
If the unit does work after the hard reset you should rename the back up folder normally located in the c:/programfiles/palm or palmone folder then what ever user name you are syncing to and find and rename the back up folder then set the conduits to desktop over handheld for the cal., con., memos, and tasks and sync this should give you all of your data back but no settings or the possible corruption

  • Subvi does not stop from the mainVi immediately when the stop button pressed in the mainVi

    Hi guys,
I have a mainVi which has a subVi inside. I want to have a kind of emeregency stop button in my mainVi.
when I pressed the button, the program does not stop instantly. it does one loop and then stops.
please help me to solve this problem.
Attached you can find the Main and SubVI

This is basic dataflow. Any code is available to run as soon as data is present on all its inputs. No data is present at its outputs until all the code inside has completed.
What this means in your case is that the stop button will likely be read almost instantly when the while loop starts an iteration. It will not be read again until the start of the next iteration. This is why it will usually take an extra iteration to stop. You can either force it to read the stop button after the other code inside the loop completes or use a Producer/Consumer (events) architecture where the stop button will be read in a parallel loop containing an event structure.
It also means that the Move_MINI subVI has no means of responding to any external events (such as the stop button being pressed) after it has started running. All the other subVIs are missing so it is hard to tell what is going on. From the control labels and VI names I suspect that this may be some kind of motion control system. If so it probably takes 100s of milliseconds to seconds or longer to complete a move. To allow an external event to modify the behavior of such a VI, you need a means of communication between the event (stop button) and the VI. A notifier may be an appropriate choice. The VI also needs to be configured in such a manner that it never goes more than about 100 ms without an opportunity to stop. Without knowing more about the subVIs, I cannot say how this might work.
