Lost order ID?

I recently registered for the Windows 7 upgrade for my laptop, and attempted to save the order ID number in a text file, but Notepad froze, then crashed, when trying to save, so I lost the number. I haven't gotten any emails (I've already uploaded the scan of the receipt, so I can't just wait for a reminder email) insofar as I know. Any idea how to get the number? My concern is that I did something wrong, and won't ever know. Should I contact HP or Microsoft? :\

    I wanted to share my recent experience with Best Buy online orders. Since sending one letter of complaint to a department probably will go unheard and maybe even unread. It seems when you call customer service the left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing and the call center must be in different locations or so big that no one knows each other.
    I am an Elite Plus member and I bank my points. When I am ready to make a purchase, I redeem my points and then use the rewards certificate that very same day.  Last week, on 9/17, I created my online order, redeemed 1500 points for a $30 reward certificate and used it. I remember seeing the order go through and went on with my day. I have always trusted their online buying system because for years I have NEVER had a problem. Being in Hawaii, the expedited free shipping is a plus. I normally get my items in 2 days which is very fast by Hawaii shipping standards.
    A week goes by and I never got my order. So, I start to go through my emails to find my confirmation. I couldn't find it. I go to best buy online to see my order history. My order is not there.  I check my best buy mastercard account and my small charge was not there either.  I then tried to recreate my order and use my reward certificate again because now I think I'm going crazy.  My reward certificate was coming up as REDEEMED. OK. So I have a lost order.
    I email best buy over the course of TWO days to find resolution. This person was of no help at all. I kept getting canned responses and not one ever addressed my simple request.  "Can you find the order that was attached to this reward certificate?" 
    After two days of standing in place, I call the 1-800 number. I get passed around to different departments, NONE of which could understand my dilemma or give me a solid answer. Each time I'm passed off I have to explain my situation AGAIN and confirm my identity AGAIN. All I want is my credit back so I can place my order again. Not one person is able to help me. In fact, the lady on the phone from Best Buy online tells me I need to go to My Best buy for help on the rewards. I stop her and tell her that I was JUST on the phone with them and they passed me to YOU for help because they stated that they cannot find the information I am looking for and YOU can.  She babbles on and on and talks to herself while banging heavily on the keys to do more "digging" for nothing.
    She passes me BACK to my best buy to talk to them again about my situation. This time, the guy HANGS UP ON ME. He picks up and asks me to once again identify myself and confirm my account info and the line goes dead. Cut off, hung up, whatever you want to call it. Now, I'm LIVID.
    I call back and this time I refuse to maintain my pleasant tone. I told the operator that I was just hung up on and I have been trying to find resolution for an HOUR for such a simple request. She apologized profusely but at this point, I was about ready to reach out and choke someones neck.
    She forwards me to "John". Finally, someone who can speak clear english and can comprehend it as well. In under 15 minutes, he managed to find that my certificate shows redeemed but the order number is MISSING and it was lost. He confirms that there was a GLITCH in the system the week prior and MANY orders were affected, not just mine. He put my points back in my account and I managed to redeem my certificate again and finally get my order through. 
    The difference in service I received with John was he LISTENED before typing. He LISTENED before digging. And he LISTENED to understand my full question. 
    Please Best Buy, hire more competent people and get them better headsets. The lady I was on the phone with from Best Buy Online was so garbled and full of static. She kept telling me "I was getting cut off" and she couldnt hear me. I was calling in from a desk phone on a hardwired headset, not a bluetooth or wireless one.
    Because I have lost complete faith and trust in their system, I will be keeping all screen shots, print outs, and emails until my orders are received complete.  Thank you JOHN.

  • Abandoned Order Service Query for Abandoned vs Lost Orders

    We are seeing one issue Abandoned Order Service for Identifying order as abandoned in ATG 10.2.
    ATG Document says abandonmentInfo is created when Abandoned Order is found.
    For each abandoned order found, the AbandonedOrderService does the following:
    1. Adds the order to the list of abandoned orders in the user’s abandonedOrders profile property.
    2. If necessary, creates an abandonmentInfo item for the order; then updates the item with the relevant information:
    The state property is set to ABANDONED.
    The abandonmentDate property is set to the current date and time.
    If the abandonmentInfo item is new, the abandonmentCount property is set to 1. Otherwise, it is incremented.
    However code is querying abandonmentInfo.orderLastUpdated. is it not supposed to be orderLastUpdated from Order? Also I am seeing same query is used for finding Abandoned Order , Lost Order?
    is it a ATG Defect? Any thoughts?

    - write a scheduler
    - write a method to retrieve orders u want to purge - for ex - ordertools.getOrderToPurge ( fire query like " state = 'Incomplete' ")
    - get the order id's and
    - call orderManager.removeOrder(orderId).

    Whenever placing an online order with us, you should receive a confirmation email just a few minutes after the purchase is placed to provide you the online order number.  It sounds like this maybe didn’t happen though, so I apologize for the confusion this may have caused.   • Is there any real support or help for lost orders

    Seriously. Any other company you can at least find a phone number. I made an order of a few prints for a christmas present 2 weeks ago. They never arrived, the tracking and order numbers apple supplied me do not show up when I login. There is no way to track any status, I cannot contact anyone...what do you do? Is Apple actually trying to make a real business out of providing this service? How can a company go into this market and offer no support? I sent an email via the web-form, but from my other experiences with apple support on hardware - it is not really going to yield much.
    Can anyone give me a phone number to call? Am I screwed and I should just reverse the charges on my credit card and use snapfish or some crap online service?

    Same thing is happening to me - no record of it anywhere ... except on my credit card!! This was a gift for my mother's birthday which is in 5 days!!!

  • Lost order

    On the 15th November I put an order in to for christmas cards and calendars via iphoto, over £100 worth. A week later I got an email from Apple saying the items had been dispatched. It is now the 12th December and I still have not received my cards and calendars. I emailed Apple over a week ago about this, but so far have not had a response. What can I do!! Who do I call? The Apple Store hotline don't want to know, they directed me here. I need these items before Christmas, in fact I needed the cards last week. Can anyone make a suggestion?

    Another sad story to relate.. Kodak seem to have exceeded their bandwith, because we have tried to upload photos twice in 24 hours and each has come to a halt after 30% or so.. Verry annoying because the b*gers have charged £19.71 from our bank account, twice.
    And yet neither iphoto nor Kodak offer any support contacts. How are we going to get a refund? why should we be £40 out of pocket a week before xmas?
    Anyone with an idea of how to contact Kodak or iphoto please post it.

    Is this valid,a profileId having multiple incomplete orders?It is possible for an abandoned order. An incomplete order which remains idle for a specific time duration becomes an abandoned order. That duration is a configurable property in abandoned order service and I think default is 7 days. Further, an abandoned order becomes a lost order when it remains idle over extended period of time again controlled through a property in abandoned order service.
    ATG's abandoned order service extends the user profile definition by adding an additional item descriptor named abandoned-order and 2 properties to the user item descriptor:
    1. abandonedOrders: a multi type property containing collection of abandoned-order items currently associated with the user.
    2. abandonedOrderCount: a derived property which gives the number of items in the abandonedOrders property.
    You can find it in <ATG>/DCS/AbandonedOrderServices/config/atg/userprofiling/userProfile.xml

  • Not user error: moving to trash moves to start of import/event

    I found another thread here: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=5523843&#5523843 describing the issue as well, and that user had it "suddenly start working". Well, that's because it's an inconsistent problem, but it DOES happen, very often.
    The problem: when reviewing images (for example in 'first double click' mode, where one image at a time is displayed), hit command-delete to send image to trash. Image is sent to trash, but the first image in the current "set" (be it either an event if editing one event, or an entire import, if working on 'last import' set), is then loaded instead of the image following the one you've deleted/moved to trash.
    This is incredibly frustrating!! And yes, I've seen it work "correctly" as well, but that's maybe 5% of the time and difficult to reproduce. It seems maybe the difference is that if you directly double-click on an image, and then move THAT one to the trash, it moves properly, but that if you do some other sequence (not sure what), it doesn't. I can't reliably reproduce it, but it absolutely happens and is super frustrating.
    Apple engineers, please dig a bit. Is there a case where it wraps to the first image in the 'working set' after move-to-trash because it's lost order state or something? Please fix!

    One more bit of info to help track down the bug: it seems to happen especially in edit mode. You know, with the thumbnail strip along the top? It pretty much ALWAYS happens in that navigation mode.

    i try to create a service order ( iw31) . after entering the required data, i saved the document. it shown a error like" Currently the user processing the xxxxxx order, the data will be lost / order can't be save" coming
    what are the configuration i need to check for this.
    ( this is happening after upgradation, asked tech team they also told there is no code chagne in programmee. can pls tell the route to check )

    This doesn't appear to be a SAP standard message. It doesn't even look like a message at all, maybe a popup..
    You need to get your ABAP Team to debug the issue..

    I guess generating Lost Orders Batch query is new functionality introduced in ATG 10. Please help to resolve the issue... This consuming (holding) lot of heapsize because of which the production server going to hung state.

    Hi,
    The batching methods for determining lost and abandoned orders were introduced as a fix for Bug 13289205, in the the ATG 10.0 product they were introduced in ATG 10.0.3.2.
    As a note you should be running the AbandonedOrderService scheduled service on a non page serving instance. Other page serving instances should have the schedule disabled by setting attribute /atg/commerce/order/abandoned/AbandonedOrderService.schedule to null.

    Do you see any transaction timeout errors in the log file?
    Have you been monitoring heap usage? if so do you see a steady rise over time or a sudden rise? What are your JVM heap size settings?

  • Best buy lost my mail order package

    Oct. 30 I place an order of 3x canon flashes.  UPS showes it was deliverd on Nov 3.  I never recieved the package when I got home from work that day.  Call Best Buy on Nov. 4 at 9am to see wheres my package.  Best Buy rep. then told me that it'll take 5 to 8 days for investigation and someone will be contacting me within 72 hours.  72 hours has past and I contacted Best Buy again.  They told me the case was being transfer to the lost and late department and had no other info.  I then waited another couple days and still no call.  I again had to contact Best Buy for the 3rd time.  This time they told me sorry for not getting in touch with me but they have now started the investigation..It took them a week to start this investigation.  I was told this will take another 5 to 8 business days for an answer.  Nov. 12 still no call from Best Buy. So I again had to contact them.  Was told it's still under investigation and I will get a answer in a week.  Nov. 20 still no call. contacted Best Buy again and was on hold for 30 mins to get and answer that she will call me back in 30mins because of system being down.  I'm writing this while I'm wating for them to call me back.  Hopefully I'll get a straight answer this time as to wheres my package and how Best Buy is going to resolve this.  
    I'm just loosing my patients with Best Buy Customer Service.

    I don't know why am I getting the run around like a fool, buts that's whats happening.  
    Case was push back a week for no reason.  
    No phone calls
    No Emails
    No merchandise
    No nothing.
    Worst customer service I had ever dealt with.  Sad this is coming from a big box store..

I had read that downloaded purchases would be available for 3 years but, when I click onto the serial number of that order it isn't active. By clicking onto the link it should take me to the site where I can re download the elements 9 but, it doesn't do anything.  Unfortunately calling Adobe did not help, they will not address any elements questions over the phone, there's a recording directing all elements questions to this forum.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.       Diana

  • Design Question: Can I use Rest-CsPoolRegisterState command in order start Front End Service when Quorum is lost and less than 85% of FES are available?

    Assuming below setup for Enterprise edition Lync 2013
    Single Pool Stretched architecture with 4 FES servers
    Site A Data Center
    Site B Data Center
    FES
    2
    2
    SQL
    1 Primary
    1 Mirror
    Fact: In a situation when we lose network connectivity to Site A DC, and due to less than 50% FES servers, Quorum will be lost and as a result Front End Service will stop after 5 minutes. 
    The question is, would I be able to do a manual intervention by using this command
    Reset-CsPoolRegistrarState –PoolFqdn <pool name fqdn> –ResetType QuorumLossRecovery , and start FES with just 2 FES servers in Site B DC and 1 SQL
    Server?
    The reason I am asking this question is because it is mentioned in one of the Lync manuals that at least 85% of the servers must be available to recover once the Quorum has lost. The same manual also mentions to use above
    mentioned command in order to recover from Quorum Loss despite the fact that the lost FES servers are still not available.

    In Lync server 2013 Stretched pools are not supported for the Front End, Edge, Mediation, and Director server roles. It need two Lync pools.
    If one pool fail to connect, An administrator can declare an emergency and fail over the pool to the backup pool.  That is done by using the:
    Invoke-CsPoolFailover –PoolFQDN <Pool fqdn> –DisasterMode –Verbose

    No.  Apple only keeps the pdf file for a book for 30 days.  Without the library and book project you won't be able to reorder the same book.
