Lotus Notes User creation Error

Hi,
I am getting the following error when i try to provision user to Lotus notes v 7.0.2.
User created successfully. Error while updating user uniqueId attribute in the process form.

I'm integrating Lotus Notes 8.0.5, my issue is about changin passwords, actually I can change password from OIM 11g user self-service and the Lotus Connector update the Id File in the server, but the Lotus Internet password is not updated. Could you please share your experiences with Lotus?. I've already faced many issues with this connector but the most were solved in the Domino's side.

Desktop 4.6 error for lotus notes user id file: "the user id is invalid"

Hi everyone,
we've several bold9000 in service, using Desktop version 4.6
In one setup we've come accross "the user id is invalid" when trying to configure the desktop to use the user's ID file. In that case, it somehow was resolved when trying again after a reboot of the workstation - so we didn't really figure what the problem was and hence don't know the fix.
Now we've installed the desktop on another station where it refuses all ID files, even some which are definitely known-good as they are the ones used on other stations by other users. No matter if we try to do it with or without admin rights, no matter if we give the ID password before loading the ID file, we always get "the user id is invalid" as soon as we select it. We also tried to enter all possible ways of writing the user's name into the "for user" field before loading the ID - no change, always error.
Those IDs we've tried are definitely not invalid - at least not when used with Lotus Notes itself, it is perfectly happy to use them for user login.
This particular error gives exactly one unusable result for scribd.com on google, nothing more.
Anyone any idea? At the moment no BB for that user :-(

Hi again,
I'll answer my own question:
in the "advanced" section on the login screen, remove the tick box for "use default notes.ini file" and then browse manually for the notes ini file that is in use on this computer. This should then auto-fill the user name etc, and then the ID should be automatically used (or it should be happy to accept the one that it refused before) and should be accepted.
This is strange, as I've definitely set the user name and server name correctly when entering them manually. Anyhow, it worked.
(Hope Google will pick up this thread so that others may find it if they ever run into it....)

I have problem during the installation of SAP SOL Man4.0

java Cripto: 1.4.2
when it go the step 34 out of 44 when it create JSF user creation, I am getting error
It could not able to create Java user.
It stops. this error is coming during sapjsf user creation.
is this bug in SOL man 4.0, any one able to successfully install on Linux.
I see lot of people had probem while doing on windows, but no one tried on Linux.
I really appriciate, if some one can help on this.

Mass user creation error

I want to do mass user creation using ecatt.
After I run the test script I am getting the following error
uslogond-ustyp input value is longer than screen field.

In your script, you need to edit the part where you select Dialog user type and replace it with User Type = A
You may need to re-record your script but this is what is causing the problem. It is expecting the single character, not the word Dialog. It's just a "feature" of CATTS/eCATTS

OIM User Creation Error After OIM and OID Intregation

User creation error - profile not found

We're using the controls that wrap com.bea.p13n.controls.ejb.usermgmt.UserManager and GroupManager to create a user, put him in the wlcs_customer group, and set properties on his profile. userManagerCtrl.createUser and groupManagerCtrl.addUserToGroup report success. Then we create a customer record for that user

and attempt to log in the user. At that point, we get a UserManagementException from com.bea.p13n.usermgmt.internal.UserManagerImpl.getUserProfileManager saying that the user does not exist.
Earlier we were trying to check whether the user was already in a group
groupManagerCtrl.isMember(UserConstants.GROUP_CUSTOMER, userId)
but that threw a NPE from the GroupManager.
What are we doing wrong?

WCS 4.1.91 Guest User creation error

When I try to add a guest user using my LobbyAmbassador operator account, I consistently get an error stating "End date can not be older than start date".
The user is a limited life time, and we are trying to set end time using calendar, setting life to 48 hours basically. Just this week I upgraded to WCS4.1.91 and WLC4400's wo 4.1.185.0.

Conditions:version 4.1.83.0
Workaround:Upgrade to version 4.1.91.0
Further Problem Description:The creation is failing because
of the difference between the server and the client times. Initially user UI's
are populated by considering server times and user selections are evaluated
against client timings. The lifetime calculated is invalid because of
difference between client and the server timings.
It looks like WCS 4.1.91 was supposed to fix this issue, so if it is still happening you should really open a TAC case :(

User creation error after installing Local portal

Hi Everyone,
I am presently running ECC 600, with Netweaver nw04s and J2E engine.
I have installed MSSQL and then the J2E engine. I have also activated the SAP* superuser account.
I would like to create users now. When i logon with SAP*, a register link appears on the portal logon page. When I click, it gives me a message telling me that "You are not authorized to perform this action. Contact your system administrator".
What should I be checking/activating in the setings in order to be allowed to create new users with SAP* account.

What is the datasource you are using?
If your default datasouce is ABAP..then assign SAP_J2EE_ADMIN to the user ID for User administration and make sure that your sapjsf ID has the roles SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION in ABAP stack.

SAP Installation with DB2/LINEX ,User creation error

Error:Invalid password DIAGNOSIS .The password you specified for user db2ec1 is wrong .(CJS -20004 :Invalid password DIAGNOSIS)
Solution:Enter the correct password .

Hi Dinesh Sadasivan,
While doing the sap installation please avoid using special character in password. Use the simple password like password123.
One more thing is that also cross check the password policy from your os admin, like complexity lenth etc. If its there then tell him to temporary disable the policy.

Error:When adding RDC runtime library (Crystal report XI R2) to Lotus notes

Background : We have reporting feature implemented in one of lotus notes application using crystal reports 6 (OCX) and as Crystal report is going to be upgraded to CR XI version in my organisation, we need to implement the same using RDC component available in crystal XI . we have installed Crytal report XI R2 - SP 6 version for testing the integration.

Steps which have been outlined for adding runtime library in lotus domino application is shown below:-
1. In Domino Designer, add a Form to the application.
2. In the programmeru2019s pane, go to the (Declarations) handler of the Form and enter:

3. Select Create | Object and select the u201CControlu201D radio button in the u201CCreate Objectu201D dialog box that comes up. From the list of controls, select u201CCrystal Report Viewer Control.u201D This adds the control to the Form.

We are getting an error message while trying to add 'Crystal Report Viewer Control' control (illustated in Step 3 above) in the lotus notes form . Error message which we get is 'An error has occured while processing a request on an object'.
Alternatively , we created the object of Crystal Report Viewer on lotus notes form by adding viewer object file (Crviewer.dll) from the file system after selecting the u201CObject from a fileu201D radio button in the u201CCreate Objectu201D dialog box and added following code in the postopen event of lotus notes form .

Can any one suggest us any workaround or if iit is not possible in CR XI R2 into a Lotus® Dominou2122 application. Also, can any one provide us sample code if CR 2008 version can be integatred with lotus notes.

I believe, Lotus was never a "supported" development platform, though it did work - at one time or another. Eventually it did not and you are at that point. I think it was CR 10 where it started to be impossible to add the viewer to Lotus. This was never fixed and we never did find out if this was a Lotus thing or a CR thing.
Re. CR 2008 and Lotus. The RDC has been retired in CR 2008, so no luck there either for you. The only SDKs available in CR 2008 are for .NET and Java.

We've got an issue with shopping carts created by a user that was deleted from system. When trying to see in Monitoring Shopping Carts header or item details of a given sc. A web error occurs:
The URL http://srp.srm.gruposalinas.com.mx:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbpsc11/! was not called due to an error.
Note
The following error text was processed in the system SRP : Attribute for user contains errors. Inform system admin.
The error occurred on the application server srm-pro_SRP_00 and in the work process 2 .
The termination type was: TH_RES_FREE
The ABAP call stack was:

We've cheked SAP NOTE 312058-BBPPU99: Error: Attribute for ... is missing. Inform ...
But it seems that none of the information applies to us, since this issue is only present for Shopping carts that were created by this deleted user.
So we tried to re-assing one of this sc, chaning PARTNER_NO,ADDR_NR
ADDR NP data in table CRMD_PARTNER according to a new given user, but it didn't work. So we need to know how to re-assing this sc or perhaps how to find what specific attribute is missing.
Any advice is welcome.

Which SRM version are you using ? This is an SRM error message.
The manager role should be enough to change user attribute. The transaction is BBPATTRMAINT. Employee role should have BBPUM02 or BBPAT05 to change their own attribute.
Please check whether the User ID you are using to Log into BBP_PD (and seems to be assigned in the org structure also)is consistent and has no errors in tcode USERS_GEN. You should check the user, it's not set up properly in USERS_GEN Transaction, Else repair the user.
To maintain the user attributes you must have the Administrator role.. Your user should have role SAP_BBP-STAL_ADMINISTRATOR and be integrated in the org structure. your user must be integrated in SRM organizational structure. To see which attributes are missing, you can click on the user in PPOMA_BBP to see details, and go to last tab "Check". This will list all required attributes depending on used scenarios (so you may not require all of them). You can also use transaction BBP_ATTR_CHECK to check user's attributes for a particular scenario.

SENDmail issue to Lotus Notes Reciever

Hi All,
The SENDmail function of SAP has been working great in the PROD system. However, there was a problem regarding the Lotus Notes side.
The reciever in the Lotus Notes experienced an error stated as : 'Sorry, an uncorrectable error has occured. Invalid pool free chain. Press ENTER to abort application.'
The SENDmail step is forwarded to the Lotus Notes using Auto Forwarding.
I also configured an Extended Notification for workitems. But this excludes the SENDmail step ( textmail ).
Does SAP usea java applet or some sort for this? And what is that applet, if there is?

I'm also sure that this is not an error in the SAP side. However, I am also involved in pointing out the cause of the error in the Lotus Notes side.
It is expected that the Text Mail can be read in the Lotus Notes email client. I also tried to forward the SAPmail (text mail) in MS Outlook and it worked fine. There seems to be a problem in the employee's Lotus Notes mail.
However, the workitem sending in Lotus Notes (with links) works fine. It means, the Lotus Notes and SAP Workflow has been properly connected.
The only error that occured was the error I stated above. I'm sure that this may involve Lotus Notes user settings. I hope those people who know SAP as well as Lotus Notes may help me on this.
P.S. DUET is not used in this config. The SAP - Lotus Notes connection was configured using Extended Notification.

1) I got nearly 30 to 40 help documents (PDF & WORD) which users may refer when accssing CRM & BW system in portal.
Currently they are stored in the Local Drive....i am trying to find a way to upload them portal...so the users can always have the docs the require

2) Can any one please update me in detail ...on how to integrate Lotus Notes into portal and configure Single Sign on currently my Portal and Lotus Notes user id's are different

1. IF documents are on your local computer, Netweaver Portal has a KMC Addon (Knowledge Management and Collaboration). Within KM it is possible to run a Document Management Scenario. You can Create Folders within KM, give Access Rights to Users, Create an Iview to browse KM Folder then add that Iview to a Page or Role so users can access it.

Can we automate user creation or responsibility addition

HI,
I would like to know, if by any way we automate user creation in apps. or If not user creation, at least responsibility addition. Lets say we create users with some default responsibility. And after that with the use of user management or CRM HTML Admin some automation can be done like, they select the responsibility they want, it reaches next approval level, once approved it automatically gets added to user account.
Not sure if this can be done or not. I heard someone did in his project using user managemenr or CRM HTML ADmin, not sure though

Set up Workflow with Lotus Notes

Does anybody know a procedure or a guide to configure the Sap Workflow with Lotus Notes?
I would like to do a scenario looks like follow:
- a user create a purchase order on Sap;
- the workflow system sends a email to an approver (to Lotus Notes);
- the approver reads the email and can approve or reject. This step is done inside Lotus Notes.

You can achieve it in following simplest
1. Create a simple BSP page for approval and Rejection.
Send the link of this page in the mail to the lotus notes server . Lotus notes user will open the mail and he will click on the link to get the BSP page .
Handle the process that should happen after the user makes an action in the "OnInputProcessing" event of the BSP page.
