Loyalty Campaigns
Hi Experts,
I've created Loyalty Campaign/Porgram and R R and released all. Using Loaylty IC Agent role I'm not able to see the Loyalty Campaigns.
Can any one pls let me know how to display all the loyalty campaigns which are released as part of Loyalty Program in Loyalty IC Agent Business Role.

As far as I think, Loyalty Agent can see the released Loyalty Programs/Campaigns for a particular member only if the "Enrollment Required" checkbox is checked while creating the Loyalty Program.
When you check the "Enrollment Required" checkbox, you get 2 options either to select
All Loyalty Members
Selected Loyalty Members
for example, if you have selected the first option. then login to IC using Loyalty Agent role... Search for an account
- If he is a member of a loyalty program, created above, then you will have all the listed memberships or else create a new one and select type as the loyalty program create above.
- After confirming the membership, go to "Loyalty Programs and Campaigns" in the left hand side navigation bar
- in the Loyalty Campaigns tab, you will see all the released campaigns created under the loyalty program.

I can confirm that this functionality has not been deprecated. The interface may have changed slightly based on the videos you are watching. If you create an email campaign and select 'Customer Event' from the 'Campaign Type' drop-down, you will then have the option to select 'Customer Subscribe Date' and specify the campaign to send after a certain period of time after a customer subscribed to a mailing list.
The option for loyalty campaigns after selecting 'Customer Event' can also be seen from the drop-down as well - i.e. birthdays and anniversary's.

Loyalty Program in Web Channel
Dear Experts,
Currently as what i'm aware of, we basically need to add the Loyalty Program in the Web Channel B2C shop as the administrator to allow this particular Loyalty Program to be available for enrollment by the customer in the webshop. With this, the customer is also able to go to the the link "My Campaigns" to view the list of Loyalty Campaign that she/he has enrolled in. In "My Trasanctions", the customer can view the points that have been acrrued/redeem and points balance.
However, we now have a requirement where we have MORE than one Loyalty Program eg: "Loyalty Program for Retail" and "Loyalty Program for Govement Rebate". Both of these Loyalty Program are different and have different point type and requires different membership enrollment.
Is it possible to include MORE than one Loyalty Program in the Web Channel so that when the customer logins to the Webshop, the customer is able to see both the Loyalty Program eg: "Loyalty Program for Retail" and "Loyalty Program for Govement Rebate" with different points account seperately???

You have to turn the feature on in B2C web application, XCM administration.

1. Consumers can opt to sign-up in the Loyalty program during consumer registration
2. With in the web shop, the registered consumers can see the available campaigns and also transactions (orders0 they have made with those campaign ids. Loyalty program --> My Transactions and * Loyalty Program --> My campaigns*
3. The consumers can Redeem Points
4. They can also Buy points

3. Can not make folders in BC editor (under develop) that are existing web apps
4. If you move a pre existing page via FTP into a new created web app folder and rename it to index.html It will not work. In the admin it has no file extension so you have to add it there.
5. Just had it confirmed by live chat support who replicated it on a demo site. Securezone update details form with custom CRM fields.
CRM fields will render current data but will not update the custom CRM fields in the crm on submission of the form. -
Email Template Javascript Error
For years I have been using BC and I can not believe (embaressingly) that I only just discoved this week that there is a major flaw in the email marketing system, and I have been blindly selling it to my customers unknowingly.
BC's email campaign process allows you to choose a template from your list of site wide templates to use for your campaign. Of course this is a feature you would want. However Business Catalyst renders a Javascript in the template that gets included in the campaign when it gets sent out.
What happens is that the text 'var slang={module_urlculture}' appears just above the newsletter content in the customers inbox. Only if it is lucky enough to get past spam filters.
This is a major flaw with the BC's email marketing system, and if I had known about it years ago when it was first discovered i would have fought tooth and nail to have it fixed.
What bewilders me more is that this bug has been know to BC and is in fact listed on BC's buglist for years!
God only knows how many readers have not recieved, unsubscribed, not read, deleted, blacklisted newsletters delivered out of BC's newsletter system.
I can live with limited functionality with the email marketing suite, but BC you better damn well make sure when you have a specific feature to choose a sitewide template for a campaign, that it DOES NOT render javascript in the newsletter!!!

It would appear to me that BC does not distinguish that a template is being used for a campaign.
This needs to be rectified straight away. We have clients that send campaigns to education and government bodies and its tough enough to get through their sensitive filters with out having javascript render in the newsletters.

I understand what you are saying about just using the HTML content area to build newsletters. In an ideal world your comments are spot on.
however we have a range of clients who use the email marketing side BC for a range of things, and in some cases it makes good sense to use the Sitewide templates. for example we have a client who has a loyalty campaign with about 25 newsletters, all fairly simple text based messages with their company header and footer. We created a neat little template with the header and footer (all clean HTML and inline csss), so all the client needs to do is type in their personal meassge in the campaign content area...its simple, effective and what they need.
Now I've found out that all 25 campaigns have been sending with full header code, and in some cases with var jslang={module_urlculture} at the top of the message.
You see Liam I have been building email newsletters for years and know full well that they need to built using basic HTML and inline CSS, that floats don't work plus a range of other CSS styles and HTML tags.
As you said its 101 stuff, I am sure the dev team at BC know this stuff too. So why is it that when building a campaign or managing system emails (basically every area in BC where you can manage out bound emails) there is an option to choose a site wide template? Beacause it's expected that we would build a (clean) newsletter template and store it in the sitewide templates to be called on. So Liam, you see, BC has been built with the expectation that designers would build clean friendly newsletter templates and store them in the sitewide templates area.
What I didn't know was that BC would take my purpose built newsletter template and inject it with:

"Yep as an improvement only showing newsletter templates in the dropdown would be handy but you would need to have something in the template that BC knows to define email only and only show up there." Considering there is an ability to select a print version template and also the ability to edit a Desktop /tablet /Smart phone version of a template I would say BC have the technology to make a 'Campaign Only' selection in the templates.
Even if it is only 1 template, it could be used across 100 campaigns, being sent to 100,000 contacts - and this makes it important.
regardless - the dropdown menu access to the sitewide templates in campaigns has been purpose built in to BC and as has been for as long as I can remember (at least 5 years), and as such it should work properly to ensure the most effective deliverability, readability and coversion rates.
So right now BC has 2 options (in my opinion):
1: Stop all the head code rendering in campaigns (either automated or define an 'email only' option with in sitewide templates)
2: Remove the 'choose a template' option from all system emails and campaigns (if it doesn't work properly it shouldn't be there).
Lastly to answer you querie, I spoke with a highly credible member of the BC team who said the 'head code rendering in newsletters' was added to BC's internal bug list over 2 years ago. So it is disappointing that it still exists and that my clients have been sending out campaigns with this going on, if only I knew...

Showing "Anniversary" Dates in Account Page
I am building a "My Account Page" and was trying to show Anniversary Dates to customers.
However, it looks like there is no {module_Anniversary1} tag?? Bummer.
The nice thing about having those built-in tags is getting to use them. Also, I see in another discussion, that even if I set them up, they only work for a year? So, if a policy renews each 4 years, then does the reminder email only go out in for those dates within the 12 months in which you set it up? So, there are no notices for those policies which renew in years 2, 3, and 4 in my case? Or does it go out just once in each case? I also, do not understand why you have this restriction! This is a great option for clients, but the restrictions are making it relatively useless....Good news. Although I didn't see any documentation for {module_Anniversary1} it is now working!!! Yeah!! (It wasn't earlier... hmmm...)
So, I think from Mario's answer in another discussion, my clients must "redo" their loyalty campaign each year... -
Batch e-mails on customer's birthday
We have a client that asks for birthday information so they can send their customers a coupon during their birthday month. Is this possible to do as a batch Loyalty Campaign based the month of their customer's birthday or would they have to create a seperate Mailing List and add manually for each month?

Business processes in Customer loyalty and campaigns
Hello folks
I am supposed to contribute towards planning a workshop focussing on business processes in campaigns and loyalty management. And am I having difficulty to keep it focussed on business side then technical configuration. Please let me know on what points should I focus? What are the likely processes involved and how to put together them in documents before the start of the implementation. Assuming the sector to be retail or manufacturer of appliances.

Loyalty Program / VIP Program
Would anyone have experience in using CRM on Demand to manage a loyalty program? We are planning on creating such program in the near future (we call it VIP because people will not be gathering points but rather get discounts).
I'm starting to think about where all this information could be stored in CRM. My preliminary thoughts on which fields would be needed at a minimum are:
- program ID (could CRM generate such an ID?)
- effective date
- end date
We would like to flag opportunities that are created as a result of a customer using a program card.
Metrics I could foresee would be needed are:
- Number of contacts on the program
- Number of opportunities created for customers on the program
- Revenue generated from customers on the program
Would anyone have suggestions on where such data should be stored?
Should I consider other fields/metrics?
Any other insights/things to take into consideration/pitfalls?

Verizon has multiple call centers that send notifications to customers and each group/campaign can have their own call back number. That call center is also likely to have the best details on the offer being made. -

How does WebTools determine the number of Clicks, Opens, and, Bounces on the Campaign Reports?

There was a campaign launch at beginning of month, and now we are trying to do analysis on the campaign response. We have a field at contact level called Subsegment which can have values like Experienced RIA, Inexperienced Stock Broker etc. Now, I need to develop a report that would give a count of click through, open response, opt out, hard bounce and also their % based on sub segment field. I am able to develop report with count of click through, open response, opt out, hard bounce but when I develop a field with formula as (Metrics."# of Click Through"/Metrics."# of Recipients")*100 and put this field in pivot table, I get all erroneous data. The formula gives me all weird values, it display 0 then there should be 15 etc.
Can anybody please help in indentifying what wrong am I doing.

Campaign Metrics - # Bounces Switched?

We have sent out several campaigns and are now reporting on them.
The metrics seem to be mixed up on the subject area.
The campaign was sent out 2/3/2011
The receipent data on the campaign object shows delivery status of 8 hard bounces and 1 soft bounce as of 2/7/2011
The dates are important since the report is 24 hours delayed......
When we run our report using metrics from the Campaign Response History subject area - no formulas, just pulling Metrics."# of Soft Bounces and Metrics."# of Hard Bounces"
the results are SWITCHED. I have tried to change teh aggregation rule from default to sum, just to check. No pivot tables are being used...just straight values.
Does anyone know if this is really a bug or what else might be happening??

When running an External Calls Failed report for Lead Campaign Association (e.g.Attempted to add a campaign member where either the member id 00Q70000015ngo5 or the campaign id null is null.), the report show me the contact but not the campaign the contact was trying to associate itself to in SFDC. In order to see the campaign, I have to click on the downward arrow and click on the "view external call details" FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL CONTACT.
Is there a report I can run that shows me both the campaign and contact for the error? I can't efficently trouble shoot issues in Eloqua if I have to view each individual record with two or more clicks.
Any advise?I am getting the same error when opening the J2se Development Kit 5.0 Update 8 after I press the Run button. ( "This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and than you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package").
Is there a solution ?
