Lumia 1020; app update error 80073cf6 after cyan ...

I updated my Lumia 1020 to the Nokia Cyan firmware today. Most of the app updates went fine but now some updates from the store are stuck with the error code 80073cf6.
I tried restarting the phone but that does not help. Any ideas?

The "error code 80073cf6" in Windows 8 on PC's suggest trouble in the store cache on the device, and there are procedures to reset and clear this on a PC - but this is only possible on Windows Phone by performing a factory reset.
I hesitate to advice a factory reset of the phone since it is a lot of work, and may not solve the problem! Also, since this is trouble between the Store and the phone, it may be solved in an update of the phone or the store later.
I would sit tight for a while (days or weeks ...) unless the apps are important here and now, and keep an eye on new updates to the phone, and retry the download once in a while, but it's your decision whether to try a factory reset.
Microsoft have information of devices failing to download apps from the store, and if your specific trouble affect enough people, changes are likely to be made (days or weeks ...)

Lumia 1020 SIM card error after WP8.1 update

I updated my wife's Lumia 1020 to WP8.1. Ever since there has been random SIM card errors. The phone just drops the network while it's idle (not during the phone calls) and gives an error message "SIM card error".
Anybody who has experienced the similar thing after installing WP8.1 update???
If there's someone from Nokia/Microsoft support team reading this: what should be done in order to get rid of this aforementioned thing?

Microsoft Update Lumia 1020 apps crash

Just had a scary experience with this update.
After updating ALL my apps crashed and my Lumia 1020 would only call, txt, go on browser and take photos. Luckily I found a solution via Twitter. You need to instal the Italian Keyboard, which will take an age to install and in effect do a further update to the phone and after migrating your data the phone works fine. I have tried it and it works, just be patient.

App update error after iOS 4.3 upgrade

Since I updated to iOS 4.3 there is a strange corruption on App updater. I can see the updates available but the tab shows them in basic HTML and I can't select them. Have tried reboot to no avail. Any ideas?

A general troubleshooting measure is resetting the iPad. Press and hold the Home and Power buttons for 10+ seconds, ignoring the red power-off slider, until the Apple logo appears.

Cannot submit app update - "Error The submission can only contain one appx or one appxbundle."

I'm trying to submit my app update to the store and I get the following error:

The submission can only contain one appx or one appxbundle.
So I thought I should maybe utilize the "Delete" option to allow me to submit an updated appx or appxbundle (since these are the only file types that App Studio allows us to build). However, when I do, I get the
following message:
Can't delete this package
You must have at least one 8.1 package in your submission.
... So I'm basically stuck. Can't delete to upload a new one. Can't upload a new one because there's one already there. It would be nice if you could automatically sunset the old appx/appxbundle package in favor of the new
one.

Since this is still an issue, shouldn't it be escalated for a fix so that the page works on any modern browser?
I see two independent problems here:
- Hitting Delete should work, not bash the user with a "You must have at least one 8.1 package in your submission." message (i.e. allow the developer to delete and then add a new file, if so desired). After all, when making the initial submission
we are in the same situation (no file yet), so it can't be that bad, as long as this is checked for at a later stage.
- Show that Replace button which seems to be hiding! If it is a Silverlight issue, why require Silverlight in the first place?
P.S.: I am experiencing this with IE (no Replace button, Windows 8.1 x64 and latest updates).

App update errors (0xE800002E)

I get this message in itunes 7.7.1.11 when syncing updates to apps:
"the application (name) was not installed on the ipod (name of ipod) because an unknown error occurred (0xE800002E)"
five updates are refusing to install. they also will not install directly to the ipod touch via wifi from the app store.
any ideas??

A solution (not a work-around) has been posted by John Faughnan ([jfaughnan|http://discussions.apple.com/profile.jspa?userID=155438]) on 2008-09-12. Follow this ([link|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=8073647#8073647]) to his reply in another thread.
This is +*not a work around*+, it does seem to correct the problem and allow future updates to be installed without this error.
It is reported that the application data is NOT LOST with this process. You'll have to re-enter a few passwords and rearrange all your icons (again), but that's a small price to pay for a permanent resolution to this problem.
I had this problem and worked-around (turn off sync of one or more apps, sync removes the app and it's data, then turn on sync of the specific apps again, syn and they are working again...) BUT... it all fails at the next update again.
I just used this fix to correct the problem, and decided not to sync music/pic until the next day. All my app data was there, for example, in WhosHere, all the conversations were intact and in ShopShop had my shopping list. I'm happy.
Two of my apps failing this update were Twinkle and ShopShop. Both completed the app update perfectly with all data in tact from before this fix.
The solution linked above does not lose the app data and afterward updates are successfully installed.

%windir% \SoftwareDistribution directory on any computer on which Windows Update Agent is installed.
You can also temporarily turn off the antivirus application and check the result.
Or run the following commands, and press Enter after each command:
Net stop wuauserv
cd %systemroot%
Ren SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
Net start wuauserv
Try to install updates again.

App update error 3027

Just been notified I've got 7 app updates in iTunes. When I click to Download All Free Updates and enter my password it says:- 'Could Not Purchase "". An unknown error occurred (3027). There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later.
I've tried it several times today, only to get the same message.
Any ideas what's happening?

App updates not deleting after download.

iTunes has stopped deleting app updates after they have been downloaded. I now have 25 apps to download everytime I get a new update. Can anybody help me solve this. I'm on latest version of iTunes 10.6.3 and OSX 10.7.4

App updates dont disappear after downloading them.

Anyone else having the issue where you download the updates to your iPhone/Touch apps and they are still showing up in iTunes? Just started happening with this last iTunes update.

My problem isn't new updates, it's old ones...
App updates currently replace the old versions and move them to the Trash as they should. But the Mobile Applications folder in iTunes has some multiple versions of App updates. What's there is the new update and older versions with 2008 dates. (Maybe pre-3.x software?) I guess it's not a big issue, but, like you, I wonder why older updates haven't been thrown out. Can I just Trash the old versions?

App updates not going after updating

I've had it 3 times now (both in iTunes and on the iPhone)
It says I have an app update, so I update the app. But then it STILL says I have the same app update to do and dont know how to get rid of the (1) that hovers on the app.

I also have the same problem. It started earlier this week. It's always the most recently updated app that gets 'stuck' and iTunes thinks that it needs to download an update even though the update has already been downloaded and installed. Yesterday it listed an update for 'Trip Advisor' even though I had already downloaded and installed the update. This morning the same update was still showing. However, when I clicked 'check for updates', iTunes found other apps that required an update. It downloaded those and then 'Trip Advisor' disappeared from the list of updates and instead now the latest app to be updated is now stuck in 'update available' mode. Very frustrating. I have tried completely deleting the impacted apps and then re-downloading. Doesn't help.
I'm hoping this is a bug on the iTunes store and that they fix it soon. I'm using the UK iTunes store.

App Update Error

we´ve got a newsstand app v24. Yesterday I tried to update the app with the DPSAppBuilder DPSAppBuilder-2.5.0.36.69922. But I can´t complete the procedure, in the window where I schould enter the certificate, a pop up with no error mesaage appeared.
Today I got the new DPSAppBuilder-2.5.0.37.70266, I trashed the old DPSAppBuilder reinstalled the new DPSAppBuilder, tried to update my app and got the same error and can´t complete the procedure.
Then I deleted the App and created a new App but got the same problem.
Has anyone the same problem, is there a solution?

this regards the error i get when i try to click the 'Updates Available'.
this is the error i am shown although i constantly have an 'n' no. of updates - " no updates are currently available. to check for updates from another apple id, sign it with that apple id. "
now the funny part is that, i have only one apple id and this laptop of mine is authorized with only this id.

Hello pparsons30. I understand your concern for not being able to update your apps on your device promptly and I will be happy to assist you. You will want to go through your settings and unistall the apps by selecting Uninstall Updates, then try to update your apps. If this process does not work, you will need to do a hard reset on your device at which you will need to backup all your app data and after the reset, you will have to reinstall your apps.
Doing a Hard Reset:
From the home screen, touch the applications tab(located at the bottom of the display).
Touch Settings.
Touch Privacy.
Touch Factory Data Reset.
Touch Reset Phone.
If presented, enter the current passcode or draw the unlock pattern.
Touch Erase Everything.

You may try using the Lumia System Updater app to check and update system applications on your phone. Regarding other third party applications, you can check manually or wait until the Store application receives notifications.
