Hi there, Arbaerinn.
Did something happen to your phone prior to doing an update? What fixes have you tried so far? Try to restart your phone by pressing and holding the Power and Volume down keys simultaneously for 10-15 seconds. Release the keys and then the phone will restart.
You can also try resetting your camera. To do that, go to Settings > swipe to left to see application > phone+camera > reset camera. No photo or personal data will be deleted in doing this.
If the said fixes didn't make any difference, we suggest you take the phone to the Nokia Care Point for evaluation. Check for Nokia Care Points in your location by visiting your Local Support page: http://www.nokia.com/global/wayfinder/ .

Here are some steps and notes to try:
MANY people are reporting they've had to try multiple micro USB cables to find one that works. I got one that worked from a neighbor.
For clarification, this needs to be a "micro" USB, not a "mini" USB
Some people have also reported they've had to try the Restore process more than once.
1. Unplug Apple TV and move it to your computer running latest version of iTunes.
2. Quit iTunes if running.
3. Plug micro USB cable to the back of the Apple TV.
4. Power the Apple TV using the AC cable.
5. iTunes shoud either launch itself (a good indication that the micro USB cable you're using is compatible), or launch iTunes.
6. Click Restore. Software will download and install (big file).

Lumia 920 Locks up after Black update

I'm using an AT&T Nokia Lumia 920. My phone had been working fine with the Amber update but as soon as I updated to Black it started hanging and acting weird. These are the symptoms:
1. If I have a device pin setup it hangs as soon as I type in the pin or if I hit the emergency call button.
2. If I don't have a pin, most apps don't start. They say they are loading but after 30 seconds or so they drop back to the start menu.
3. It never successfully reboots, I have to use the soft reset key sequence (power + volume down) to get it to restart.
4. I see missed incoming calls but the phone gives no indication when you're actually calling it.
Things I've tried:
1. Soft reset.
2. Hard reset.
3. Flash to pre Black using Nokia Software Recovery Tool. (no longer possible since it downloaded the black update this morning)
4. Restoring backup after hard reset.
5. Picking all the defaults after a hard reset.
6. Changing the region on startup after a hard reset.
7. Changing the keyboard layouts (remove some, add a bunch). This the one setting I seem to be able to get to.
8. Uninstalled all apps I could (I can't see what games are installed).
9. Flashed back to Original ROM and updated through Phone Updates, after Black is installed, device locks up again.
Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this problem? I'm in the US.

that's really a bummer.
I went through the same thing/similar when I updated my 920 to black.
I had to hard format and use the NSRT to reinstall the firmware completely 10-12 times until it finaly took the firmware correctly.
other than that, seems you have done everything you could to troubleshoot it.

Lumia 920 completely frozen after Cyan WP 8.1 upda...

Phone was working fine until I updated to cyan firmware wp 8.1. The upgrade went well, then when the phone rebooted it just froze on the AT&T flash screen (white circle with blue rings on white background). Did numerous soft and hard resets on my Lumia 920 but again it only goes as far as the AT&T logo screen and then freezes. Phone is un-responsive, won't turn off until the battery completely drains. Essentially my phone is dead.
I installed Nokia Software Recovery Tool hoping to revert my Lumia 920 back to "Black" firmware. But my only option is to install the Cyan firmware again which makes my phone lock up. I have done this repeatedly with no success.
Is there anyway to get Black firmware back on my Lumia 920? I think this is the only solution. Thanks.

Your phone was connected to the outlet?
If during installation consumes a certain percentage of battery and not connected to a power outlet installation stops until you connect the plug.

Lumia 920 Developer Edition & Cyan update

Hello, I have the Lumia 920 Developer Edition and recently got the 8.1/Cyan update. Previously, it was running the latest 8.0 ROM version for the device:

059R4H6
My carrier is T-Mobile USA and I was getting their HSPA+/LTE signals just fine with peak download speeds upwards of 11MB/s. After the 8.1/Cyan update I received last night I now only get regular HSPA signals and my download speeds peak at 1.5MB/s.
What changed? Will this be fixed?

I spoke with T-Mobile USA support yesterday and they are looking into it. Your idea that 4G might be disabled in the Cyan/8.1 version of this Nokia Product code might be true, but if so why would they do that other than by mistake? If that is the case I hope Microsoft/Nokia fixes it soon and sends the update OTA.
Another problem I am experiencing with this update is that the Internet Sharing feature cannot detect that my cellphone contract has tethering enabled (I've always had it because I need it for work) and it is sending me to the T-Mobile web page for upgrading my cellphone plan. The T-Mobile representative said that this shouldn't be happening and they will have it fixed soon.
This behavior makes me think that this ROM update is not "negotiating" with the T-Mobile USA network correctly. Whether it should be fixed on the carrier side or the Nokia side I don't know. However, if T-Mobile can fix the Internet Sharing feature without anything being done on the Nokia side I think they will also be able to allow this updated ROM to get 4G connections by making some small configuration changes on their side.
If they are able to do it I will definitely say that T-Mobile USA is the BEST carrier in this country. I already recommend it to everyone I know (unless coverage is an issue). I would recommend them even more strongly. I hope T-Mobile USA is reading this!!!

What features if any will be included in the 8.1 update 1 with denum for the AT&T Lumia 920?
And will their be any possiblity of new features?

Safari and Flash after updating to Snow Leopard

After updating to Snow Leopard, Safari will no longer display any flash content. I have tried reinstalling flash as well as uninstalling/reinstalling. Firefox works correctly so I know I do have the correct flash installed. Any advice? Thanks.

I have a similar problem. The rendering is wrong after updating to Snow Leopard 10.6.
The 10.6.1 doesn't solve the problem.
The rendering problem is on Safari, Firefox and Chrome.
I've tried to uninstall Flash using the Adobe uninstaller and re-install.
It doesn't solve the problem.
On my MacBook Air, I've updated to Snow Leopard, and no problem. Flash is working correctly.

D3D depth issue and D2D render flash after update device from Lumia Black to Lumia Denim

Hi,
Yestoday I updated my lumia 929 device from Lumia Black to Lumia Denim. I develope game on this device.
My game is D2D and D3D Interop with silverlight 8.1 program. Then problem occured. The depth of 3D objects become wrong. And the d2d content will flash time to time. I use d2d to render text.
However, I solved the depth problem by setting up DepthStencilState. But the d2d content flash problem doesn't solved.
Not only Lumia 929, but 930, 638 and many devices.
In lumia 525 and 520t, my game still works fine.
Can anyone help me ?

Can you provide more detail concerning how you are rendering your text with D2D? Are you doing the D2D update on the UI thread? I think we just need more detail before we can offer any suggestions.

This works fine with Lumia Black. But in Lumia Denim, my d2d text may flash.
I noticed that the flash problem usually occured when D3D content draw first. In my render methods, d3d content and d2d content are place together.

IPhone 4S no longer recognizes back camera or flash after updating to iOS 7.1.1

I tried force quitting the camera app, then resetting, and restoring.
The camera app displays a black screen and is nonfuncitonal.
Any other apps that use the back camera are unable to use it.
Flashlight app, which uses the flash, reports that no flash is detected.
This happened right after installing iOS 7.1.1 so I don't believe it is a hardware problem.
I think it is a bug in iOS 7.1.1 for the iPhone 4S.
What can I do?

It sounds like you are unable to use the flash or the rear camera since updating to iOS 7.1.1 even after quitting the app, restarting and restoring from a backup. That is where I would have started as well. I would next restore your device one more time, but as a new device rather than from a backup with this article:

If it works when set up as a new device, restore from your backup to see if it still works, or if there is an issue with the backup file.

Windows 8.1 doesn't start after update. BLACK SCREEN AFTER LOGIN

Before all, sorry my english, I'm brazilian and don't found the solution on the brazilian version of HP website.
After I did the updates, the system ask to restart the notebook, so I did it. And now, when I do the login, after the password page, the Windows doesn't starts. Just a Black Screen appears.
I can't open the right side window to acces the configurations, and this laptop doesn't have a battery to take out and put in again.
I had already restore the system.
So, I use my laptop to work, and it has only 4 days of use.

Run through the following procedure.
Boot the computer normally and log-in.
At the black screen, hold down the ctrl and alt keys and press delete.
Select Task Manager.
Click on File and select Run new task.
Type cmd.exe - also enter a tick in the box for 'Create this task with administrative privileges' - and click Ok.
Type in the following command ( including spaces ) and hit enter.
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
This will take a while to complete, but when it’s finished, restart the notebook.
If the screen is still black after you log-in, once again, hold down the ctrl and alt keys and press delete.
Select Task Manager.
Click on File and select Run new task.
Type cmd.exe - also enter a tick in the box for 'Create this task with administrative privileges' - and click Ok.
Type in the following command ( there's a space between sfc and the / ) and hit enter.
Sfc /scannow
When the scan has finished, check that the result is ‘No integrity violations’, then type exit and hit enter.
Restart the notebook again.
Any change?

Finder flashing after update

so i've been have problems updating my MacBook Pro it seem that it doesn't want to update to 10.9.2, so with that I'm mind i tried to manually install the updates and still nothing my mac still says 10.9.1 after manually installing 10.9.2-10.9.5
...then i manually reinstalled the 10.9.1 (thinking maybe some files are missing) to fix any issues preventing my mac to update (maybe i might have deleted something when 'clueing my mac') or something this is my 3rd attempt to update my mac because of the same issue but yeah.
so anyways i installed it and then i restarted the computer manually (because it didn't ask me to) and usually when i start my mac the files i have on my desktop appear including the HD driver and nothing but my wallpaper
i noticed that my dock is very laggy when i navigate around it.
i went to 'force to quit' to see if i can resolve the issue by 'force quite' finder and its flashing ever second as I'm typing.
I'm unable to open and finder windows other apps i have on my dock open
my quicktime and my mail.app have that deleted icon on them "O\"
can someone please help me with this issue?
maybe some how uninstalling or reinstalling something to fix this issue?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

Step 2
In the Console window, select
          DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION ▹ User Diagnostic Reports
(not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of crash reports. The name of each report starts with the name of the process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report related to the process in question. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot.
I know the report is long, maybe several hundred lines. Please post all of it anyway.
If you don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a crash, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)

Firefox doesn't recognize FLASH after update, no matter what. Also says to update plugins but there are none to update listed?

I have downloaded & re-downloaded FLASH, but after I updated my Firefox to 22.0 it no longer recognizes FLASH is installed on my computer. It also keep telling me "Some plugins required by this page have been blocked for your protection." When I check the plugins, the 3 listed are up to date, and the other 3 are marked "research" - which doesn't allow you to update them. I cannot discern that any of those are what is being blocked. When I click on Details, it brings me to a list of "Modules bloqués" and it's all listed in French...which would be great if spoke French or lived in France, but alas California is in the USA. My Java is updated, enabled & not blocked in any way. My Shockwave Flash is disabled & it will not give me the option to Enable it; I also cannot find a way to reinstall it or find a plugin to help me. !@#$%! So frustrating that this new "update" is useless. I hate 22.0.
What do I do now?

Your System Details List shows that some plugins are blocklisted and Flash is included:

Which version of the Flash plugin do you have installed if you check that in Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > > Plugins?
You will have to update Flash to make it work.

Lumia 1020 keeps rebooting after updating to 8.1 a...

Hi there, as the title sujests, I just installed the 8.1 and cyan updates and now my phone keep rebooting by itself.

@nick881 which operator do you use, in which country? Perhaps that adds information. Anyway, in a few days, Lumia Cyan should be available on the Nokia Software Recovery Tool. I would go for that rather than a hard reset, because it does a complete reset through re-applying the whole firmware+software.

Lumia 920 not working after wireless charge

This is not my phone specifically, it is a family memers phone on my plan.
So she has had the phone for a month and from what i know, it worked fine no issues. ATT forgot to order her a wireless charger so they finally did and used it for the first time last night. Not sure how long she charged, but after chargine, the phone did not work and she could not boot the phone.
I asked her to ry to do a soft reset by holding the volume and middle button, the phone vibrates after 10 seconds, but it shoes a blue screen. I asked her to do a hard reset wiping everything and starting frrom factory, same thing happens with a blue screen coming on and nothing else.
Im not certain if she had the update either, i doubt she has the update. Is there a way to get this phone up and running or will i have to do a warranty exchange?

Sounds like you have tried everything, so apart from installing the Portico update that was pushed for AT&T and Rogers devices in the last few days, and checking that she is up-to-date with all the Nokia system app updates in the Store, there is nothing much else that can be done. You most likely will need to take the phone back to the point of purchase and request a replacement, as it sounds it is hardware defective.

Lumia 920 "Unbeatable low-light performance" - is ...

I’ve tried to reproduce photos advertised by Nokia and …. Failed!!!
I’ve tried different settings (pretty much all that exist on 920) and my pictures were not even close to Nokia’s.
Is that a hoax? “low-light” pictures was one of the biggest (that and these floating lenses) reason I picked Lumia over HTC 8x.
What am I missing? What is your experience?

on Nokia's picture, it says that the shot was taken by a protorype device....i wonder if that prototype has a better camera than end product.

I've attached a couple of stills comparing the N8's night mode and Lumia 920's night mode both without using flash. Both shots were taken with seconds of each other under the same low light conditions.
I'm quite impressed with the results of the 920.
