Lync client won't connect to a conference via dial-in number hosted on deterrent pool than conference.

I have been
troubleshooting a very strange issue with Lync clients being unable to connect
to a conference via dial-in number when the conference is hosted on a different
pool. This happens internally and there is no media gateway or SIP trunk
involved.<o:p></o:p>
Users are
unable to join a conference from Polycom CX phones and Lync 2013/2010 software clients
by dialling conference Dial-in number which is located on a different pool than
actual conference. Users are prompted to input their conference ID, however,
they are never connected to the conference (10 min silence followed by error
announcement). <o:p></o:p>
This only
happens if the dial-in number is homed on a different pool than conference.
Both pools are Lync 2013 Standard Edition running on Windows Server 2012.
Servers and clients are patched with the latest CU.<o:p></o:p>
I noticed that
when you call dial-in number’s SIP address, user will get transferred to a
conference (works ok). When you dial just a number users is never transferred
and RT Audio traffic still goes directly to a server which is hosting dial-in
number.<o:p></o:p>
After
checking Lync traces it looks like Lync client ignores the REFER message from
the FE server hosting Dial-in number and it never send an INVITE to the server
whit active conference.<o:p></o:p>
The only difference
between INVITES for working calls and calls that failed to connect to the
conference is the presence of the user=phone in TO header:<o:p></o:p>
Working
invite:<o:p></o:p>
TO:
<sip:[email protected]><o:p></o:p>
Failed invite:

Please try to disable refer support for all pools.
The problem seems occur when Attendant transfer the call to another pool.
Please provide more trace file information.

    Hello Rattisate,
Sorry to hear you are not able to connect to Wi-Fi on your MacBook Pro.  I would be concerned about this too.  You can find information on how to troubleshoot this in the following article:
Troubleshooting Wi-Fi issues in OS X Lion and Mac OS X v10.6
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4628
Follow the steps in the section labeled, "Symptom: My Mac does not connect to the Internet."
Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities.
    Best,
    Sheila M.

  • My ipad 2 and iphone 4S won't connect to app store via wifi but will connect via 3g

my ipad 2 and iphone 4S won't connect to app store via wifi but will connect via 3g - both are running 6.0.1 - I have tired several wifi networks but same result.

    Hi LandJ1980,
I would recommend first trying these steps:
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430
If that does not work, this article has some additional ideas to try, even though you are only seeing this with the App Store:
Can't connect to the iTunes Store

Hi, my ipod (2nd gen) won't connect to the internet via Safari or through apps but my email does work.  Any ideas without needing to reset the ipod?

    - Have you tried when connected to other networks?  Maybe the router is blocking the ports used by Safari and the other apps.
    - What kind of network are you using? a personel or bussines?

  • Lync Client won't Start

    Hi,
Had a weird issue the other day where as the Lync 2010 Client would not start. I had not received any updates, but it gets to signing in and then crashes.
I've removed it and removed the Microsoft Visual 2008 C++ that comes with it and reinstalled it but I still get the error:
Microsoft Lync 2010 has stopped working - A problem caused the program to stop working correctly....
When I debug it through Visual Studio, I get:

    Hi,Paul,
Have you tried to log on another Windows account and see if s/he can start the Lync client?
Would you please delete the sip profile folder for this user on the computer and try again? The Sip folder path is like below
    C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Communicator\[email protected]
    Hope this helps.

  • All non-Apple Wireless Clients won't Connect to Time Capsule

I have a latest gen Apple 2TB TC (ME177LL/A) and have had it for about 14 months. I have never had any issue with it in the past and have perhaps only had to reset it twice in that 14 month span.
Came home from work last night to watch some Netflix on my PS4, and noticed my PS4 couldn't connect to the network. In the PS4 OS I kept getting errors that said either the network no longer existed or my password was incorrect. I simply tried to re-enter my password multiple times, but only once was the PS4 successfully able to connect. The one time it did connect the network speed indicated in the PS4 speed test was less than 200 kpbs. Within moments, the PS4 lost connection again. I was unable to reconnect.
At this point I figured I would just use the PS3 instead...same issue, however. Initially thought it was perhaps a PSN issue, but this time I never once could get the PS3 to connect. It repeatedly just said the network wasn't available or the password was incorrect. Went through the same troubleshooting steps that I did on the PS4 with no luck.
At this point I realized my Lyric thermostat had been erroring out and giving me a notification on my phone---the app on my phone wasn't able to connect to the Lyric via Wifi. Also noticed my August Connect was flashing red and was not connected. DirecTV Genie was not connected to my TC network either. Then went to my home office to discover my Slingbox was no longer connected either. Interestingly enough, though, my iPhone, MacBook Pro, Mac Mini, wife's iPhone, and MacBook all were still connected to my TC network with no issues. I performed speed tests on all of them and all were giving me well over my 60 Gbps Internet speeds. These devices never disconnected nor had any hiccups.
Essentially determined all my non-Apple devices couldn't stay connected to the TC network.
Proceeded to just reset the TC and see what would happen. None of the non-Apple devices could connect. Same "Network not found/incorrect password"
Then proceeded to perform factory reset on TC. At the same time I unplugged my Charter internet modem from power and cat5 out. Powered on modem, waited. Then powered up TC. I did this process twice through, once with auto selected 2.4/5 Ghz channels--still had issue with devices being unable to connect. The second time through, I set up the 2.4/5 Ghz bases upon the most "open" channels as shown by iStumblr (I live in fairly large luxury apartment building that has many networks -- so there are A LOT of networks).
This time I appeared to have success. One-by-one I was able to connect all my non-Apple devices to this new network with the new SSID and credentials. All devices were able to connect and the PS3/PS4 were able to connect to PSN and I was very easily able to get Netflix.
Woke up this morning and noticed all non-Apple devices were once again not connected....really not sure what's going on. Didn't have time to dive in deeper before heading to work.
Just as an FYI, I have 2 different Macs backing up to the TC via Time Machine wirelessly (the primary reason I have a TC and not another router). Also have an Asustor AS5008T connected to the TC via round robin link aggregation. All Macs are running Yosemite. All iPhones are running iOS 8.3. Offhand, I don't know the firmware the TC is running. I made no recent changes to the network or any of the hardware.
Anybody have any idea what could be the culprit? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Whilst I said in my first post that apple had removed all the logs.. you can still get them via PC version 5 airport utility... you will need to plug in via ethernet since wireless is not working. You can also install v5 utility into a Mac but I cannot tell you how. Google it.
The other method.. and I am not at all sure if it is useful or not.
Using the airport utility in an ipad.. click on the TC, then edit.. then advanced.. Diagnostics and Usage Data.
Go into this and you will see the Airport utility has got a stack of info out of the TC..(for secret transmission to apple).
    eg
I guess it is comparison between normal functionality and when it fails that will show something interesting.. meaning you will need to track the info... and it is not so easy to get it out other than as a screenshot..

  • IPhone or iPad won't connect to Apple TV via Remote App

I am trying to connect to my ATV2 via the remote app on my iPad2 iOS 5.1.1 and a 3Gs with 5.1.1 and I can not get it to see my ATV2 at all. I have rebooted it and rebooted both the phone and iPad multiple times and it still won't connect. Funny thing is, I have a Galaxy S 3 and can use the AppleTVMedia app from the Play store and can connect to my ATV2 just fine!! Wouldn't it be eaiser for the Apple products to connect to Apple Products??? Anyone have any idea on what I can do to get my iOS devices to connect to my ATV2?

Figured out my Apple TV issue. It had to do with how I had it networked. I guess it doesn't like Ethernet over Power line anymore. When I have WiFi on the remote app works fine on my iOS devices. But when I plug in the Ethernet cable it doesn't see it on the remote app. I know its not my Ethernet over power line adapter because other things attached to it work just fine.
Gonna try and do a firmware update to see if that will help.

  • Powerbook won't connect to the internet via Ethernet?

    Hi
Just recently, my 1.5 GHz powerbook won't connect to the internet with an ethernet cable. It connects fine at home when it's connecting through the airport, but then I try to use it with the ethernet cable it tells me that "Ehternet may not be able to connect because it has a self assigned IP address" But I didn't assign it an address, OS X configured it. Thanks in advance for any help.

    And your settings in:
    System Preferences/Network/Show: built-in Ethernet/
(Tab): TCP/IP; configure IPv4 is set to "DHCP"?

  • Switching WSUS server and Windows 8.1/Server2008/Server2012 clients won't connect, Windows 7/Server2003 is fine

I need to split the load of my WSUS on to another site because the amount of computers is straining the internet connection in the amount of uploads performed.
However I'm having an issue at the second WSUS where only Windows 7 and Server 2003 clients will update...
Windows 8.1 and Server 2008 and Server2012 won't update giving the following error codes: 8024400A and 80072EE2
The WSUS is a Server 2012 with Local Update Publisher 1.1 installed. It works fine locally at the site but not across our WAN.
The clients appear in the WSUS console but fail to check for updates.
I've tried it with the firewall turned off...
Both WSUS servers are using Microsoft SCEP 2012.
Has anyone out there experienced this? Or have any suggestions to fix?
    Cheers.

    Hi there,
I spoke too soon, I think I got one Windows 8 client to update yesterday by fluke. Now today it won't.
There's not much different between the W7 and W8 systems they both use the same antivirus. Same software but updated on W8.

  • DirectAccess Windows 8 Client Won't Connect - Last Error Code: 0x2af9

    Hi All
Well I've had 2012 DirectAccess up and running now for about 2/3 weeks (using Win8 client only), it's been "ok" (most problems are client based - like Services not restarting upon resuming from sleep).
Yesterday I spent many hours connected to DirectAccess from my Windows 8 Laptop. When it's working, I love it.
Today, it's a completely different story.
Windows 8 won't damn well connect. At first I started getting prompted to enter proxy credentials (I have no idea why, have never been prompted for this before and the internal TMG proxy shouldn't even be in the loop, given my DA server has it's own
public IP address). The DA server has a completely separate public IP to the proxy's public IP address and the DA is setup with 2x NICs.
    The error I'm getting is:
    Interface IPHTTPSInterface (Group Policy)  Parameters
    Role                       : client
    URL                        :
    https://da.fqdn:443/IPHTTPS
    Last Error Code            : 0x2af9
Interface Status           : failed to connect to the IPHTTPS server. Waiting to reconnect
Where do I find out what 0x2af9 error code means?

    Hi,
The information for your errorcode seems to be related to not beeing able to lookup the host (the information from MSDN is pasted below.)
Can you verify that your client can resolve "da.fqdn" to the correct IPv4 address?

    WSAHOST_NOT_FOUND

    No such host is known.

    Hi Jonas
Thanks for your input. I think you might be right.
I suspected IE wasn't resetting my connection settings (even though I had un-ticked 'use a proxy server' - I don't think it had 'applied').
So, I did a reset of IE10, noticed all of the connection settings were gone and DA connected.
There definitely seems to be a gap in the DirectAccess solution in that it refers to the IE proxy/connection settings rather than just goes out to the Internet like Outlook does. When on the Domain, obviously you'll receive GPOs which in most organisations
that use things like Proxies (e.g. TMG) these GPOs will apply the proxy settings, but then when you disconnect from the Domain and you want to roam, those proxy settings need to be disabled - at least until DA has connected, then you're free to apply
the proxy as the gateway again.
    It's a bit annoying.

  • Windows 7 client won't connect with 802.1x security

Having issues connecting a windows 7 dell laptop with cisco unified wireless infrastructure.  Currently running 4 4402 WLCs and 1 wism.  The client in question is trying to connect to an AP that sits on one of the controllers on the wism.  WLC code running is 6.0.199.  If I configure the windows 7 client to an ssid with wpa2 with preshared key it works with no issue.  It's really problematic with 802.1x, wondering if there is addition settings on the adapter in win 7 that I'm missing or have overlooked.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions to a solution to my problem
    Regards,
    izzy

Windows is going to want to use the credentials that you login to the machine.  SO if you logged is as "administrator" but you need to authenticated as domain\John.Smith  you need to manipulate the credentials.
If you are logging in to the machine with valid domain credentiasl though, it becomes a bit more difficult.
So, is this the only type of machine having an issue?  What is the driver version and chipset type?
you can run debug client < cliet ma address > and watch what is happening from the controllers persepctive. You can also see what username is being sent to the AAA server.
    Cheers,
    Steve

  • Server 2012 R2 Hyper-V Client won't connect to Host.

Hi I have a server with 2012 R2 and Hyper-V is installed. I have set my VM's up and everything on the server is working perfectly. I installed the hyper-v role on my Win 7 x64 machine and it will not connect to my server. I ended up calling in to microsoft
and they have determined it's a bug. I really need a work around does anyone know of a work around?
    Thanks,
    DB

    Hi,
You can install the Windows Management Framework 4.0, then use PowerShell to manage the Hyper-V.

  • IWeb integrated ftp won't connect. Settings confirmed via standard ftp client

I am nable to ftp via the iWeb integrated ftp interface. I have tested the settings via a standard ftp client without issue.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks! Joe

iWeb is kind of unusual in that it publishes a folder containing the website files and an external index.html that opens the home page. There's also a copy of this index.html file inside the folder.
This arrangement is to suit publishing to the Apple server - MobileMe - and is kind of illogical when publishing else where.
Uploading using the iWeb built in FTP means that the URL has the folder name in the path...
    http://www.domain-name.com/Site-Name/Page-Name.html
To avoid this, the site needs to be published to a local folder using the second method on the page I referred to above and the files inside the folder uploaded to the root on the server....

  • Power Mac G5 Won't Connect to Linsys Router via PC

Greetings, I'm running a Windows XP Professional machine that is hard wired to a cable modem and connected to a Linksys Router (the WRT54G). I have a Power Mac G5 in the basement(running Panther) that recognizes the router but won't allow me to connect to the network, claiming I'm entering an invalid password. My original problem started without having the external airport antenna, but I received that today and still, no signal. The PC also recognizes an internal IP address beginning with 192... and the Mac recognizes one beginning with 169....anyone have any suggestions? I'm pulling my hair out of my head. Thanks.
    Tonytee
    Power Mac G5   Mac OS X (10.3.7)

sorry..you do have the configuration right. i think i'm having problems with both. i've been on the phone with Mac, Linksys and Microsoft for the last two weeks and no one can seem to figure out the problem. I took my G5 to an Apple Store, had the card tested and it worked. I've also connected the internet directly into the Mac and through the Router via Ehternet and that works.
I set the PC up with the Linksys software and created a Network---though, I can't seem to locate it on the PC. My Mac recognizes the Networks there when I click on the Airport Icon in the upper right hand corner, but tells me my password is invalid-same if I use Network Setup Assistant. If I Create a New Network through Airport and choose the Router's Channel, I get an Airport Window that shows full signal strength, but there are no lines in my Airport Icon in the upper right hand corner of my desktop, but rather a small box that looks like a mini TV inside the icon. Bizarre.
That is my dilemma in a nutshell. And as I said earlier, both machines still have Internal IP addresses. If I try and configure on the Mac Automatically, I get zilch. And the maddening thing is that I was actually able to get online about two weeks ago when this nightmare started..I didn't get past my Home Page, but I got on. Hope this clears it up a bit. Thanks.

  • My HP Photosmart C4580 won't connect to my computer via WiFi!

I'm running a mac OS X 6. I updated the driver for the printer, restored the printer's wireless network defaults. When I run the set-up assistant, I attempt to "configure [my] device for a wireless network." A box pops up: "Device not connected. To configure the network settings of the selected device, please connect it temporarily via USB. The device can be disconnected from the USB once the network settings are transferred." But my computer is connected via USB.  Also, the setup assistant isn't listing my wifi network. I manually enter my wifi network, hit connect, but the same "device not connected" box pops up.
My Wireless Network Test Report lists an old Network Name (SSID), where I was when I first bought this printer, the last time it worked via WiFi.
what do I do to make this thing connect via this new WiFi network?

Make sure you follow the instructions exactly.  You should not have the USB connected to the printer until you are told to do so.  Now try.
