    Hello Jack,
And thank you for contacting us.
Angry Birds requires OpenGL 2.0, which is not supported on GMA 950 graphics adapters. MacBook1,1, MacBook2,1, Macmini1,1, Macmini2,1 and iMac MA710xx/A are currently not supported. We are working on a solution to bring the game to these computers.
We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you!

  • Mac App Store app does not install. How do I get a refund?

I purchased an app from the Mac App Store (Connect360 - $20).  I "installed" the app from the Mac App Store.  The app appears on the dock and loads, but when it's done, it disappears from the dock.  The app is not located in the Applicaitons menu like it should be.  When I return to the Mac App store app and go to PURCHASED, the app is listed there again with the INSTALL button ready to go to be installed.  I've gone through this now 2 or 3 times and the app doesn't ever install.
I followed all the links from the Mac App store to the developers website and after digging down into the comments found that others have had this problem as well.  I contacted the developer and they said this was a "Mac App store bug that Apple is aware of and to please contact Apple."  I have not found anywhere to properly report this and feel very frustrated that I keep getting sent in link circles from one place on the Apple website to the Mac App store and back again.
I had previously tried the "trial" version from the developer and loved it.  I followed all the instructions to "uninstall" the app before installing the Mac App store app as well. I thought it would be nice to have purchased the app through the Mac App store so it was tied to my account, but no suck luck.
Anyone know the proper procedure for requesting a refund or point me in the direction to get answers on how to get my $20 back?

Install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo
Then reinstall the app > Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Your only recourse for a refund if you can't get the app installed correctly is from the developer, not Apple.

  • Mac App Store: How do I get a refund?????!!!!!

Ok, 5 days ago I purchased LEGO: Pirates of the Carribeen (on sale, if it helps). That night I stupidly closed my MacBook and the next morning I was back to square one. Just before the halfway mark I had to leave for 2 days (with my MB) and go to a place with... DUN DUN DUN... No Wifi. When I came back I thought I'd finish my download. 10 minutes later. Error 404 or something like that.. Maybe 403. Anyways, I had to retry. So I did. 5 Minutes later. Same again, but this time The App DISAPPEARED FROM MY PURCHASES LIST!!!!! I really want my money back but I don't know who to contact or how.
P.S I read in the Terms and Conditions that within 90 days I can get a refund so now I just need to know how.
    Thanks!!!
    yebbut

Changing your DNS server may help the error 403 issue.
Quit the App Store if it's open.
Open System Preferences / Preferences then select the Network tab. Click the Advanced tab then click the DNS tab.
    Click +
Enter these addresses exactly as you see them here.
    208.67.222.222
    Click +
    208.67.220.220
    Then click OK
    Relaunch the App Store.
How to re download apps from the Mac App Store:
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select which apps you want to re download. Then right or control click where you see Installed  then click Install.
Make sure and use the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
No idea which T&C you are reading but Apple's policy clearly states that, "all sales are final" >   iTUNES STORE - MAC APP STORE - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Mac App Store pricing query

Following my purchase of an iPad mini with retina display, I received complimentary copies of Numbers and Pages on iOS.  When I launch the Mac App Store on my mac, these 2 apps appear under the Top Free apps on the right hand side of the screen.  When I select either however, a price of £13.99 is displayed. My question is, are these free or not?  I did download iPhoto for Mac shortly after my iPad mini purchase assuming that it would be free.  My iTunes account was charged in full for the download and yet when I queried this  I received a full refund.  I'm confused!  I do hope that someone can clarify this for me.
    Thanks in advance.

Apps for the iPad don't run on a Mac and apps for a Mac don't run on an iPad. Even the apps from Apple with the same names have been developed for the two different platforms.
iLife apps; iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand have come free on Macs for years. The iLife apps have been paid apps on iOS devices; iPhones, iPads and iPods Touch.
The iWork apps; Pages, Numbers and Keynote are usually paid apps, but they are free with the purchase of a new Mac bought since 1 OCT 2013. The Mavericks versions of the iWork apps are also free if the prior '09 version of the apps were on your Mac when you upgraded to OS X Mavericks 10.9.
The iWork apps for iOS devices are also paid apps, but they are free with the purchase of a new iOS device bought since 1 SEP 2013.

  • Do manufacturer trial periods apply to mac app store purchases?

Auto Desk offers a free 30 day trial for AutoCadLT 2013. I'm willing to spend $900 through the APP store, but only if I can get my money back if within 30 days I'm unhappy. Is there a written policy on this subject that I can review?

You can't get trials from the Mac App Store and Apple doesn't accept refunds after purchasing an app. That's why I recommend you to read reviews of that application and check if it works for your uses

  • Jedi Knight II from Mac App Store won't start on 10.8. Suggestions?

About a week ago, I purchased Jedi Knight II from the Mac App Store despite already having a copy purchased years ago when it first became available for the Mac.  Naturally, I figured that with a high percentage of people using Lion and Mountain Lion, if there were a problem with this game, it would probable not remain on the app store.  I downloaded it and attempted to launch.  The screen where you choose if you want to play Windowed or Full Screen popped up just fine and I chose Full Screen.  I waited a while and nothing happened.  I attempted to choose something from the related menues that popped up and all I got was the spinning beach ball.  When I opened the "Force Quit Applications" screen, it said the app was not responding.  This is what I have gotten consistantly every time I have tried it.  I figured that before I go to apple to request a refund, I would ask if anyone has had this issue and if you were able to resolve it.
    Thanks,
    Marc G

  • Mac App Store buying procedure = Highway robbery.

I'm pretty annoyed at Apple right now. Being a fan of their products i decided to have a look at the new Mac App store. Clicked on "Platinum Notes" to have a look at and BAMB!! goodbye $119.99.
Apple where the **** is the confirmation button!!!!
I immediately stopped the download but the money was already taken out of my account. Is this reversible/refundable? I've filled out the support page form and waiting to hear back from them.
Also contacted "Mixed In Key" directly and they replied in lighting speed and were as helpful as they could be.
Has anyone else had this trouble?
    Has anyone gotten a refund?
    cheers
    Stan

Stand and deliver, indeed... I haven't run into the original issue with clicking on an image and installing, but found another nice "feature" of the App Store that needs to be fixed PDQ - you can't remove your credit card information from the App Store itself! Go to App Store > Store > View My Accounts - you can't save after blanking out the credit card number (it's an invalid number), and there is no "none" option - you have to pick a credit card type and have a valid number to save (Done).
I thought it would be best to remove my credit card from my account's payment information for now to avoid the accidental billing issue and
To do this, I had to go back to the iTunes store and update my account's payment information in iTunes - I selected "none" to remove it from the payment method and it is now undefined in the App Store too... bonus, I can still download free apps, I just can't purchase any without re-entering my credit card info... whew

  • Mac App Store purchase stuck on 'Installing'

So I bought Napoleon: Total War earlier this evening. After a surprisingly long download time, the game began installing. The progress bar told me this would take 27 minutes. More than 2 hours later and it's still stuck on this 'installing in 27 minutes' business. I have googled the issue and found similar posts to mine, however most of them have been resolved by emptying the Mac App Store Cache or deleting the HDD/Library/Update files, or simply rebooting the Mac. However, none of these have worked and time is still ticking on. If anyone can give me a hand as to how I can resolve this then it will be hugely appreciated. Ideally, I'd love my £21 back however I know how extremely unlikely that is.

    Hi TomCorbishley
Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, you want to want to get a refund for a purchase. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you isolate or resolve the issue.

  • Mac App Store. Purchasing too easy

Mac App Store purchasing should be like in iOS app store. You should push twice on the button when you want to buy. That eliminates accidental buying. Too me it happened today. Cat got my attention and i accidentiali moved my fingers on touchpad and voilaa, i owned Keynote that i never wanted and i'm 15 EUR poorer now. Is there any way i can cancel the order? I did cancel downloading, so i never got the software itself.

I got a fast and positive reply from Support. See below:
Welcome to Apple iTunes Store Customer Support! My name is XXXX and I am glad to assist you.
I understand you purchase of "PCalc" was unintentional. I certainly relate to your eagerness to have the issue resolved and I will do my best to resolve this concern for you.
Christoffer, I have refunded the charge of your unintentional purchase. In three to five business days, a credit of $XXXX should be posted to the credit card that appears on the receipt for that purchase.
Please note that this is a one-time exception, as the iTunes Store Terms and Conditions state that all sales are final.
The iTunes Store provides a warning message that asks if you are sure that you want to buy an item. This warning can be turned off. If you would like to make sure that this warning is on, you can reset the warnings in the iTunes Store by following the instructions in this article:

My 10.8.3 update did not install properly citing an 'Unknown Error'. Now, my Mail and Mac App Store aren't working. What went wrong and how do i fix it ?

I tried this and still have the same problems. If I open Address book or the Mac App Store I get the library rebuild popup and a hang. I created a fresh user and then things are better apart from the printing issue. Its clearly some 3rd party software issue but the crash logs are meningless to me. I used the excellent Etre check app from http://www.etresoft.com/etrecheck so I have a list of what is being loaded and can compare clean and crashed user info but as I cant work out which of the startup items, launch agents, launch daemons etc that  are causing the problem.
I have eliminated Dropbox, Mac Keeper and Witness, and it isnt related to my exterrnal LED cinema dispay or my external thunderbolt drives, or any USB devices if thats any help to anyone else. Info from Etrecheck follows -

  • Unable to login in to Mac App Store using valid account.

I recently inherited a spare MacBook Air from my wife (who got a new one). I deleted her user account, and set up a new admin user account for me. The machine is running 10.7.5.
Now, I am absolutely unable to login to the App Store. I am using my valid Apple ID -- for example, the same Apple ID that I used to gain access to this very forum. System Preferences accepts my ID. iTunes accepts my ID. BUT the App Store will aboslutely NOT respond. It will not load. I get the red "connection failed" alert, and then after several tries it doesn't respond at all.
It doesn't give any option to switch users -- perhaps once the original owner has used the App Store, the computer will never again allow anyone else to use it? It doesn't say that there is another user logged in. There appears to be no way of deleting and reinastalling the App Store. There is no cache file I can find to be cleared. There is no preference option. There is no information. There appears to be no way of fixing this at all, short of wiping the hard drive and reinstalling the operating system. Is that what I have to do? WHY IS THIS SO HORRIBLY DESIGNED? And why is there no support short of the forum? I hate this about Apple (despite being a long-time Apple evangelist and OSX devotee).
    Thanks.

The first thing you should do after acquiring a second-hand computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. How you do that depends on the model. Look it up on this page to see what version was originally installed.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard installation disc, which you can get from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller — not from eBay or anything of the kind. If the machine has less than 1 GB of memory, you'll need to add more in order to install 10.6. I suggest you install as much memory as it can take, according to the technical specifications.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the gray installation discs that came with it. If you don't have the discs, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
To boot from an optical disc, insert it, then reboot and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, it should boot into Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
Once booted from the disc or in Internet Recovery, launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive — not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive, which is what you should do.
After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. When the installation is done, the system will automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
You should then run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. If you want to upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, buy it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the previous owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed — you have to repurchase them.
If the previous owner "accepted" the bundled iLife applications (iPhoto, iMovie, and Garage Band) in the App Store so that he or she could update them, then they're linked to that Apple ID and you won't be able to download them without buying them. Reportedly, Apple customer service has sometimes issued redemption codes for these apps to second owners who asked.

  • How do I use my Itunes credit on the Mac App store

I have a credit in iTunes which I wish to use to buy some apps on the Mac App store. However it doesnt seem to be taking that payment method. How do I solve this?

iTunes and the Mac App Store are the same account and credits redeemed for one are available for the other. The issue may be that you have not allowed for the sales tax that the US store applies in the final steps of a sale. US prices do not yet have the local sales tax added. If the credit does nt cover the total the sustem will ask for another payment method to cover the remaining balance.
