Mac/DW users: Zoom Search?

I'm considering adding Zoom Search to my Mac/DW-created website, using Boot Camp or Fusion for the setup. Anyone tried this? Good/bad results? Thanks.

Zoom Search + Highlight, Exclude Bookmarks

Hi,
I've used Zoom Search for about 2 years with few Homesite HTML projects and am now incorporating Zoom Search into a Robohelp project. So far, so good.
I've followed Peter's suggestions, tweaked for my needs. Again, so far, so goo. I added the highlighting option (jump to match and highlight search words). It works as expected, but I'm having an issue that it's highlighting bookmarks, when the search terms matches a word in the bookmark. This isn't ideal, and it causes a big issue when the matched search word is in the bookmark and at the bottom of the page. The "jump" in this case stops at the top of the page because the bookmark is the first occurrence of the word. Technically, this is correct, but from a user's perspective, it's not so great.
To exclude portions of the page from being indexed by Zoom one uses the  and  tags, which works as expected with RoboHelp. My issue is that the bookmark code does not appear in the html file, so I can't even exclude it. Any suggestions?
I was going to post this in Zoom's forum, but I have a feeling they'll tell me to ck in with Robohelp.

I run the Zoom indexer on the published files.
I looked at the published .htm file and I found something, I think, related to breadcrumbs, but I have no idea how I could configure Zoom to skip it, other than add the ZOOMSTOP/RESTART comments to this file....which will be an impossible task given the # of files and the time required.

We have 4 computers for 3 people in our household: 1 iMac (recently purchased), 1 MacBook Pro, and 2 MacBooks. We were previously running off of just the MacBooks (1 for each person), but we decided to buy the iMac and use it as a hub for all of our pictures, music, movies, etc. We were sold on this idea after learning about the "Automatic Downloads" feature, where all content would 'just sync'. We each have a separate Mac OS user account on the iMac, with our own separate content libraries. We each have a separate iTunes/AppStore account. It seems like a good idea until...
When I tried to turn on Automatic Downloads in iTunes on my iMac, I got this message: "You can auto-download purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 87 days". I tried to turn on Automatic Downloads on my MacBook Pro, when I got this message: "You can auto-download purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 90 days". I did not necessarily want to download the apps/music/books to this computer anyways, as the reason we bought the iMac was to serve as a hub for all of this content, but it was still frustrating to see that message.
I have tried everything suggested on the authorization troubleshooting pages and forums (e.g., authorizing, de-authorizing and de-athourizing all, and reauthorizing), but I have not had any success. I have contacted Apple several times, but I get tips on how to ensure that I have the most up-to-date version of iTunes on my computer, or how to manually download pre-purchased content. I will not begin to explain how frustrating these low-level responses are when the issue is much larger.
I have a few theories of why this is happening, one of which is that we will only be able to authorize one of the users iTunes accounts to this iMac (despite the fact that we are using separate Mac OS user accounts). This may be the case if iTunes authorization identifies or registers the computer based on its serial number (or some other unique identifier), rather than the Mac OS user account. If that is the case, then I suspect that purchasing this iMac as an automatic download hub for 3 separate Mac OS users was pointless, and I will gleefully warn anyone away from trying to do that.
So my question(s) read(s): How does iTunes account authorization identify/register with the computer? Is it authorized to the computer serial number, or could it be authorized to a Mac OS user account?
However, if my above theory is true, then my question is: Do I have any other options?

I just had this problem because I logged into a friend's account on the computer I'm on now, and used the Previous Purchases feature. Well, that in turn deactived my use of the iCloud and iTunes Match on this computer when I signed back into my personal iTunes account. iTunes Support was no help, they just gave me a scripted response I would find online myself. Tried many different things, but what actually worked, was changing the Computer Name on this computer, and rebooting. Now, iTunes recoginzes this computer as a new device, yet, still is one of the 2 authorized computers on my iTunes account. Try changing the Computer Name on your troubled machine, then try associating it once again, see how that works out for you.

If you mean searching for a song that you already have in your Library, then you can select "Music" first. Then, go across horizontally to Genres and select that; then by using the drop-down menu found under "View" & (of course) select "View Options"-- you will be presented with a limited # of choices to sort by.
My iTunes 11.0.5 shows 4 parameters to choose from: Title, Artist, Year and Rating. Then you can sort & finally...

You may have installed the "VSearch" trojan, perhaps under a different name. Remove it as follows.
Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data before proceeding.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

Right-click or control-click the line and select
          Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)

My mac mail will not search mail anymore and doesn't load attachments anymore

Does anyone know why this would be happening?
My mac mail will not search mail anymore and doesn't load attachments most of the time. When I enter some text in the search box no results come up and I know there are messages that contain the phrase that I've entered.
Also about 3 weeks ago attachments only get loaded about 1/4 of the way - if that. So I have to log onto my web based mail program from the host and retrieve attachements or check the messgae with my iphone.
Please - does anyone know how to fix this?

I figureed out that spotlight was turned off via terminal - I shut it off to unmount a disk (which didn't work anyways)
sudo mdutil -a -i on
that's the termianl command to turn spotlight back on. As far as my attachments not fully loading in mac mail on my iMac that still baffles me.

Thought I would share this as I just recieved the note that fixes it and I have seen a couple of questions on it as an issue for their End Users. I applied it in our PRD environment and it worked like a charm.
1947101 - How can the Firefighter ID/ Role description be
maintained or updated for those FF Objects that do not have a description
Symptom
While creating a Firefighter ID/ Role Request, the
Firefighter Object (ID/Role) search does not return a description or the
description field is blank. So where can this description field be maintained?
Environment
Access Control 10.0
Emergency Access Management
Access Request Administration
Reproducing the Issue
Create an Access Request for Request Type: 'Emergency User
Access'
Search for a Firefighter ID/role
The returned FF Objects do not have a description
maintained.
Resolution
Execute the Program GRAC_EAM_MAINTAIN_FFOBJ_DESCR in SE38.
Manually enter the FF Object (firefighter ID/Role) which
does not have the description mainatined.
Manually enter the Connector ID.
Click on Execute.
In th next screen, manually enter the description for each
of the affected FF Objects and click on the Save button for each of the
objects.
This should update the FF Object description in all the
relevant FF Tables.
P.S. If this program is not available in your system, please
implement the SAP Note 1793691 or upgrade to Support Pack 11 or higher. Please
also check the related notes here if you face any issue with this program.

Just to mention Google is useless (other end of the spectrum) for any website where page content changes from day to day or week to week. I had a client who sold holidays and day trips. Google was still indexing holidays and days trips even after they had been removed from the website as there is a time lag before Google drops current links it indexes....I don't know what that time lag is but is seems like weeks. Of course clients where getting a bit annoyed at being sent to pages which no longer existed. Also if you don't manage the site well and leave outdated material on the server well that will continue to be listed, for ever.
And of course there is going to be a time lag before Google indexes new content. Personally I hate Google search as it is way behind on up-to-date information.
Best to build your own search engine if you can then you can be assured ONLY information which is current is listed and new information is listed immediately. In most cases, where clients are willing to spend a bit of money, I use a database which automatically gets rid of any 'sell-by-date' article/entry.
For those clients which don't have the money - they get what they pay for.

Zoom Search and dropped meta tag

I'm using the Zoom Search engine with my Web help and I like
it very much. I'm now trying to use Zoom's category feature. I
can't base the categories on the url, so I'm using the zoom meta
tag instead. However, when I go to publish the Web help, RoboHelp
seems to have a bad habit of dropping the Zoom meta tag, thus
rendering my categories useless.
I can always go back into the individual .html files
afterwards and re-add the Zoom meta tags, but this is kind of a
tedious process. So I was curious if anyone out there found a way
to stop RoboHelp from dropping my Zoom meta tags or at least found
a simpler, less-time-consuming work around?

In addition to what Leon offered up, I've noticed that
RoboHelp was eating (dropping) one of my own favorite meta tags
that I use quite often. My tag was one used to redirect. And I
later discovered that if I took care to place the tag lower in the
list of meta tags, it left it intact. So now I ensure that when I
add it, it's the last one in the list. Since doing this, RoboHelp
seems to leave it alone.
Note that it may not need to actually be last, but certainly
it was a problem if it was among the first three or four.
Not sure if this will help in your situation, but it may be
worth looking at.

Users for searching catalogs - password problem

Hello all,
we have separate generic users for searching through catalogs instead of adding role to each requestor. (if you remember on SRM260 this was one of the proposals, to use CATSEARCH user)
This user is defined as Dialog and as company policy is to change user password each three months, we are in problem with search users because nobody is logging with them directly thus nobody knows when is time to change password.
Is there any possibility to exclude such users from change password policy.

So I purchased 4 1GB Kingston FB Dimms and I have been running them for about 72 hours straight (not constantly testing or anything, just normal leave the computer on bit torrent etc, stuff). And for the first 2 days I was checking the system profiler religiously all running at 667, no EEC errors. But tonight I decided to check and slot 1 of riser card 2 is reporting like 4000 or more EEC errors.
I shut down, opened up, removed riser card, reseated module in question and booted back up. Checked and it reported all at 667 no EEC errors. Then I ran "Remember.app" and within 2 min it was erroring out all over the place and I checked system profiler to find 6000 EEC errors on slot 1 riser 2.
What is going on here? All the other modules seem to be running fine, no EEC errors reported ever. Do I have 1 bum stick of RAM? Are EEC errors grounds for a replacement? I bought this from newegg and I think I can only exchange if they are defective - are EEC errors considered a defect?

Click the slide in the film strip, then examine the properties. You name the slide in the properties. And once you name it, the name should appear below the slide in the film strip, Then when you choose to enable the TOC, what you have there pulls in as shown below:
If you have already constructed your TOC and wish to change this later, repeat the steps of naming the slides. Then click the Reset TOC icon just above the Settings button in the TOC section of the Skin editor to pull in the new names.
