Mac operating on 10.5 has wireless connection to hp c410 won't print

Printer connects and test print works, scan works, but when I try to print it gets to 97% complete and then goes to pause. Tried all the trouble shooting suggestions, restarting printer, computer, tried reloading software and doing the set up 3 times.

Let's reset the printing system:
- Go to System Preferences > Print & Fax
- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

Unable to set wireless connection with imac and Canon MX860 printer ...

I recently converted to a Mac and bought a Mac Book, iMac, Airport Extreme, and a Canon MX860 printer. i have installed the canon software numerous times on my iMac to set up the wireless connection. yes, the airport extreme recognizes the printer and i am able to connect to my private and guest networks. the signal strength is good. It's the next part that I'm always stuck at. The Printer settings does not display when i choose More Printers and select Canon IJ Network. I called Apple support and we tried changing my network settings to an unsecured network and it still has the same issue. It was recommended this may be Canon driver issue and advised me to contact Canon. I reset the Airport, changed my network name and password .. i think i tried everything and it still does not work. What was I thinking when i said i wanted to convert to Mac? I can't move forward and connect my macbook or pc yet until I successfully connect the imac. Yes, i installed the latest canon IJ Network tool. of course the USB connection is fine but that defeats the whole purpose if why i bought this printer. please advise how to fix. this is getting very frustrating.

Wireless connection lost between my router and printer (hp officejet 4620)

My hp officejet 4620 printer has been working fine but now the wireless connection has been lost and I can't get the wireless connection back. The blue light for the wifi flashes blue. I can't get the connection back between the router and the printer because my wifi is actually working fine with my laptop. Any suggestions about what i can do to get the connection back so I can print again?
Is it something I need to do on the printer screen or laptop to fix the problem?

Have you powered off everything and power up again? Power off printer and router. Power on router and wait 2 mins. Power up printer and see if it connects to your SSID.

Trying to wirelessly connect Macbook pro to Canon MX340 printer

I am really not computer-minded at all, which is why I love my Mac. It just does it for me. Back in November, somehow I wirelessly connected my Macbook pro to our Canon MX 340 printer. We have moved and now I can't get it to work. When I go into printer settings on my macbook pro, it lists the printer, but says it is "offline." The printer is currently hardwired to my husband's HP desktop. The only troubleshooting skill I have is to turn off the printer and turn it back on, and hope somehow that makes it work. I have no idea what to do. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to assist you today with resolving the issue that you're experiencing when trying to wirelessly print from your Windows 8.1 computer to your HP Officejet Pro 8625 e-All-in-One Printer. Thank you for including all of the troubleshooting steps you have attempted prior to reaching out for support. At this time I do not think the wireless printing issue that you're experiencing is being caused by your printer or your network connection. Rather, I believe the wireless printing issue is being caused by your Operating System.
Recently Microsoft has released a Hot Fix to correct network printing issues within their Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 Operating Systems. These wireless printing issues consist of 'partial printing' and 'offline' issues. The issues appear to affect multiple makes and models of wireless printers. Can I please have you click here to download the Hot Fix. Once the website opens please click the button for Hotfix Download Available. Please follow the onscreen prompts to install the Fix. Once the Fix has been installed please test printing again. If printing still fails you may need to restart your computer to allow the Hot Fix to take affect. Once your computer comes back on please test printing again.

Canon printer connected on Time Capsule won't print from the PC

Hi all !!
I just bought a small printer, Canon MP250.
Connected it to my Time Capsule. Works fine on wifi with my Mac.
But with the PC (connected by ethernet).... it sees the printer, but won't print.
Bonjour installed, firewall desactivated.
Any tips/suggestion/link/idea ?

HP C7250 has all colors of ink but won't print in color

My HP C7250 shows that all ink levels are OK on the display, but it won't print in color becasue it says tht the Cyan cartridge is low. I recently replaced the Cyan cartidge with a new one and the display shows that the ink level is full, but when i go to print I get a message that the ink level for Cyan is still low.
The printer is out of warranty. Anyone have an idea of how i can get this printer to print in color again?
I have tried reinstalling the catridge, and the same thing happens.

I know this was a while ago, but did you resolve it easily? Mine has full colors, including cyan at 80%. It won't use the cyan for color printing at all, so all the colors are off. I think I have to chagne teh printhead since I've already cleaned them and changed the ink cartridge. Just curious. Thanks.

My Mac won't allow wireless connection to Apple TV or my printer

Not sure what has happened, but I first thought that I had an issue with iTunes as it wouldn't wirlessly connect with any of my Apple devices - iPhone, iPad or Apple TV.
Now, my wireless printer won't connect with my iMac but does with my phone and iPad so now thinking the issue is with my iMac.
Any thoughts/ideas on how to fix?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Printer connected to AE suddenly won't print jobs submitted by Mac clients

I have an HP 2015 Laserjet connected to an ethernet port on my AE. It has been running fine for almost a year. Suddenly (today) it no longer prints jobs submitted from 2 different Macs (10.5.7 and 10.5.8) on the wireless net. There are 2 Windoze machines on the wireless domain which have no trouble printing.
I can see the utility page from the Macs, so the connectivity is there. When I submit a print job, it shows up in the print queue, the green data light on the printer blinks, the job now is displayed in the queue as "completed." But no printing occurs.
Yes, there is paper in the printer. I can print a test page but only from the printer's control panel. The 2 Windows machines can print.
I have tried everything I can think of: removing the printer and reinstalling it, rebooting the machine, cycling power on the AE, cycling power on the printer. Nothing helps.
I run network diagnostics and get the following error message:
+Network Diagnostics was able to connect to the Internet,+
+but not to the server "HP Laserjet P2015 Series+
+(20D501).pdl-datastream.tcp.local." This could be+
+caused by problems with the server, or an Internet+
+problem between this computer and the server.+
Does anyone have a suggestion?

Shut down everything -- iMac, AE, printer, wait 5 minutes, power back on,
added printer to list
Everything works.

ENVY 4500 CONNECTS TO WIFI, BUT WON'T PRINT

I AM USING A MAC LAPTOP RUNNING OSX 10.7.4. I ORIGINALLY INSTALLED THIS WIRELESS PRINTER USING THE WIZARD AND I HAD NO PROBLEMS PRINTING UNTIL I CHANGED MY ROUTER. NOW, EVEN THOUGH I PRINTED OUT THE WIRELESS NETWORK TEST RESULTS PAGE WHICH SHOWS THAT THE PRINTER WAS SUCCESSFULY SETUP, IT WILL NO LONGER PRINT. I HAVE NEVER USED A UBS CABLE TO CONNECT TO MY LAPTOP. I'VE READ NUMEROUS COMMENTS IN THE FORUM AND TRIED THEIR SUGGESTIONS, BUT I CANNOT GET IT TO PRINT EXCEPT WHEN I CREATE A DOCUMENT AND E-MAIL IT TO THE PRINTER WHICH IS CUMBERSOME TO SAY THE LEAST. WHEN I TRY TO PRINT THE NORMAL WAY, I GET A MESSAGE THAT "THE PRINTER IS NOT CONNECTED". BUT IT IS CONNECTED AND THE WIFI ICON LIGHT ON THE PRINTER IS A STEADY BLUE LIGHT INDICATING IT'S ON THE NETWORK. I SIMPLY CANNOT FIGURE IT OUT AFTER HOURS OF TROUBLESHOOTING. PLEASE HELP!

Hi, try resetting the WiFi settings on the 4500.
On the printer control panel, press the Wireless button ( ). The Wireless menu displays.
Press the button ( ) next to Settings .
Press the Down Arrow ( ) to select Restore Defaults , and then press OK .
Press OK again to confirm your selection.
Press the Wireless button ( ), and then press the button ( ) next to Settings .
Press the Down Arrow ( ) to select Wireless Setup Wizard , and then press OK . The printer searches for available wireless networks.
Press the Down Arrow ( ) to select the name of your wireless network, and then press OK .
Follow the instructions on the control panel to connect the printer to your wireless network.

Wireless connection not visible on Vista laptop using Time capsule

Change setup with Time capsule 1 TB, all MAC PC's work perfectly with wireless connection, except Vista laptop.
Vista discovers all other wireless connections except the one from Time capsule.
On advise from forum, changed Airport settings :
- Radio mode = 802/a - 802/g"
- Wireless security to "none"
Which other setting on Vista prevents at least discovering the wireless signal ?

I believe the problem has to do with some potential compatibility issue between the SP3 update and the currently installed Boot Camp drivers. Did you make sure that you (re)installed the latest Boot Camp drivers after you performed the SP3 update?

D600 EA2700won't wireless connect my printers

Hi, newbie here. My old printer and a newly bought one both fail to connect wirelessly to my new router.
My network is Canadian, Rogers internet. Router a Linksys D600 EA2700, brand new, set up and seems to be operating properly.
Usual machines wirelessly connected are a MacBook Pro, iPad2, and iPhone 4. Visiting devices MacBook Air, and iPad 1. Also 2 iPhones 4. All connect ok.
The older Brother 7840W printer would not connect wirelessly. I tried all the options, from WPS (WPS button on the router, enter data into the printer's tiny screen) to search SSID, enter password. In between tries, i reset the printer as recommended, to clear settings. Every option failed to connect the printer.
We bought another laser printer, Brother 7860DW today. Set it up, tried to wireless connect. Failed. Tried every method, failed. Same as the other printer. we had though the network card on the old printer had failed, but now we're wondering.
The printers are 802.11g but the router says it supports a through n so they should be ok.
WPS was enabled on the router through smartlink.
I was able to connect the printer to the router with an ethernet cable, which made it available on the network.
What have I done wrong, anything? I followed the router setup instructions. I followed the printer instructions. I'm mystified as to what flag or switch I left on or off that makes the wireless connect fail.
Since the router was installed a couple of weeks ago, I have noticed a couple of other odd things that didn't happen with the old router.
1. When the Macbook is started up and Mac Mail opened, I have to authorise the Rogers internet connection. Never had to do that before, and it is every time I boot up the Macbook.
2. I have an Elgato Eyetv connected to the Macbook. Everytime I start the program, a msg appears asking if it's ok to accept eyetv connections. This didn't happen before either.
Is my new router paranoid and questioning everything I do?

Thanks for the suggestion. We tried it and the printers still didn't connect.
We went through the router smatrwifi gui witha fine tooth comb but nothing stood out as a settign we should change.
We have solved it though, and the other problem of Eyetv video on the iPad 2. We bought a different router.
We'd only bought the Linksys router late last month, and the store took it back. After researching routers and finding a really good router review site, we bought another brand, and also went to D900. Bingo. The two wireless printers connected without a murmur, and Eyetv videos play seemlessly on the iPad2.
So I still don't really know if the problem was just the router capability/speed or something else weird.

Can't establish wireless connection between the printer and computer.

I recently upgraded my wireless to an Apple AirPort Time Capsule. I'm able to set up the printer via USB cable. And I'm able to set up the printer on the network via the Airport WPA utility. However I cannot establish a wireless connection between the computer and the printer. When I go to the printers window in my system prefereces, there is no wireless printer available to add in the "available printers" menu. Only the USB version printer is listed and of course when I disconnect the USB cable it shows as offline.I've tried all the fixes on HP's support pages. I've tried reinstalling the printer on both the router and the computer numerous times. The only thing I haven't done is reinstall the printer using the "Install Wizard" software that is supposed to come with the printer - (mine never came with it in the first place and of course HP doesn't have it available for download). And when I reset the printer to factory settings, then connect it to the computer via the USB, there is no installation software that pops up. Cant even find the **bleep** thing in "Finder". (I'm assuming that it should show up as some sort of external device.) I've checked to make sure both computer and printer are on the same network. (sometimes my computer will grab a connection with the next nearest network.) I've checked all the settings for the printer via the HTML configuration utility. I've even updated my Macbook software and restarted it multiple times. Note: the printer actually worked for a bit when I first switched routers, but the printer's wireless function went offline several times and then quit altogether. Really frustrated that I bought another HP product thinking this time things would be different. HP is no help unless you want to pay $$ for a phone call. I'm about ready to take this thing out in the desert to use for target practice and never buy another HP product ever again.

I have a few questions for you, so I can offer some additional assistance:Before you upgraded to the Apple AirPort Time Capsule, was the printer working wirelessly without any issues?
When you say; 'I reset the printer to factory settings', how where you trying to do this?

To restore the printer back to factory settings, turn the printer off, hold down the wireless button and the cancel button (x button) then turn the printer back on and don't release the two buttons until the printer stops making noise. To answer a few more items you have listed:... When I go to the printers window in my system preferences, there is no wireless printer available to add in the "available printers" menu.This could be an issue with your print system, I recommend resetting the printing system and then Repair Disk Permissions - after that try to add the printer again.

Not seeing the printer in "Finder" From what I understand most printers will not show in Finder unless you install a memory card into a supported port on certain printer models, only then will it read it like an external device. A few more things you can check are that the new settings in the Apple AirPort Time Capsule are setup to allow the printer to communicate. HP7520 loses wireless connection

HP7520 prints fine from multiple Macs whether wired to router or wirelessly connected to router. Frequently scanner function claims it can not find any computer, even after identifying two awake computers on my wireless network and asking me which one I want the scan to go to. Both Macs run Mavericks (OS X 10.9.4). Printed wireless test page and looked at wireless configuration on control panel - network is correct, IP address is correct.

Hi MFAH,
I see you are able to print but scanning is often an issue. From your description I gather the printer sees the computers, but when you select one of them it then fails to connect and you get a communication error. I would be happy to help you with this. Please first ensure the printer is connected to a wall outlet and not a surge protector/ power bar.
Surge protectors may not allow sufficient voltage through to the printer.
The next step is to disable the IPv6 on the front panel of the printer, having it enabled can often cause problems. One the front screen of the printer touch the little wrench icon in the top right hand corner, then go to the Wireless Menu. In the Wireless Menu navigate to Advanced Settings > IPv6 and turn it off.
Try to scan now and see if the issue is resovled. If the issue persists, complete the steps in the following document and let me know the result; Communication Error between the Scanner and Your Computer in Mac. You may notice this doucmnet does not refrence 10.9 but the steps do apply to 10.9.

Hub Manager does not show Wireless connection

My 'Hub Manager' shows my Ethernet connected PC; my hub phone and the wireless connected printer.
My daughter has a new laptop which has wireless connection to my Hub. According to her laptop it is connected to my Hub and she has access to the internet.
However, my Hub Manager does not show her as connected to the Hub. The result of this means that she cannot connect to the wireless printer.
We have disconnected and re connected to no avail.
Any thoughts??? All help appreciated.
