I'm gong in USA for holiday, and i may buy a Mac, but i dont Know if i can use it in France.
Is warranty are the same.

Apple does not take trade-ins. In a few countries Apple does work with a company who will give you some return on an existing device; for the US, see:

Yes, our domain and email accounts are on a server that does accept IMAP. Also, our mac mini and imacs are all set up for IMAP. Buying an ipad will enable me to work from home during this winter.
Another ?: do you know if you can use text edit with the iPads mail feature? Reason being we have about 100 generic emails that all we have to do is change a few fields before sending out. Can this be integrated in without having to recreate all these messages?

If the iphone is new, then you would have to activate it with a carrier in order for it to work at all.

HT201335 Can i use airplay with the apple tv and airport express without an internet connection? Basically Set it up as a closed network?

I was told I could set a local network with the airport express, apple Tv, and my iPad to stream videos or pictures to a TV for a presentation.
No internet connection is available at the location.
Is that possible? Or do I need to access itunes homeshare with an internet connection to make this work?
I've set it up at home where I have an internet connection and it works fine but I want to move the setup to my church for a class. The data I'm using is stored on my ipad.

Ok so we now have a solution to the problem. A friend of mine came round to work this out with me last night and we were able to get it working, but it is not as easy as I had hoped. Fisrtly we plugged the airport express into my router using the ethernet cable (for this I am using an Airport Express Base Station") and in airport utilities selected the airport express. In edit, we then gave the airport express a new range of IP address which did not conflict with any of the other applications that I have already assigned. We also named the Airport Express with a distinguishable name. We then waited for the changes to be registered then unplugged the Airport Express from the router. I then plugged my AppleTV via HDMI into a tv to test it and selected the new wifi network with the new Airport Express distinguishable name. I was able to watch a video that I have on my ipad directly on my tv without being connected to the internet, and was able to play Airplay presentations.
No the easiest solution, and certainly not something that anyone at Apple has talked me through in my lengthy conversations with them at Applecare.

I had this question as well. i don't think MSN or Hotmail allows the enabling of pop mail. Therefore it cannot be used unless you subscribe it to a pop mail client. I just switched over to gmail to maike things easier. But would love to find out an answer to this question

Yes you can, and it's then up to you whether to have the same the same or different content to the older one. When you sync to it your computer for the first time it may be best to give it a different name, just so that you can distinguish them.

Will the X-FI Platinum or Fatality install and work if I just have SP?
Id really appreciate any assitance. Since my system is older it the X-FI might not suffer from some of the issues I am reading about. I am hoping so. But I will not go to SP2 and if I put the card in and load the drivers CD and it says you need SP2 I have wasted my money.

How can i use or embed the ' C' language in java

thanks a lot friends for your suggestion on using 'c' language to implement the control of the keyboard ie. to prevent a key stroke of : ctrl+alt+delete keys from closing a running java application. i was advised that it won't be possible to implement this with java language, the use of 'C' language was suggested. i then wish to ask the following:
1. how can i use 'C'language in a java program and be able to compile to program so that the resultant program can help me prevent the closing of my java-application when the user of the application presses the following keys : ctrl+alt+delete. i don't even know the c language at all. how can i start and how can i combine the resultant code with java.
2. i'm thinking of creating an application that retrieves information from a database, like microsoft sql or oracle, and displays the resultant data from a table, say STUDENT TABLE, in a java application using the JTable class. i don't even know how to use this JTable but i've seen it used and know it will suit what i have in mind.
3. how can i make the table dynamic, ie. how can i make the table to immediately register / show the result of an update to the 'STUDENT' table in the database.
4. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP IN ADVANCE. i will most appreciate it if you can give me a sample code or a site where i download one. once again thanks.

Good luck disabling Ctrl+Alt+Del! I've read quite a bit about it, and at least on Windows 2000 (not sure about NT) or higher, disabling it is next to impossible. Problem is CAD is a system command, and the OS doesn't even send the keys to the active program. Ctrl+Alt+Del is handled by the GINA (Graphical Identification and Authentication) DLL installed on the system. You'll have to write and export the functions you need and change the GINA DLL used by the system to your own. Bear in mind that any small mistake in the dll can cause you to lose access to your computer if you haven't taken precautions!
On Windows 95/98, disabling Ctrl+Alt+Del is fairly easy as you just have to write some simple native code to fool the system that a password protected screensaver is running.

System flags are defined by the IMAP spec and every server has to support them.
User flags are defined by the application. Different IMAP servers may have different
limitations on user flags.
