Maint order without tech obj

Hi,
In Maint order i've not added any Equipment. Only operation with man hrs & Workctr.
In work ctr I maintained Cost ctr with act type. But while releasing the order system
takes me to settlement rule scrn& asks to fill in details.
If I create Maint order against any Eq then while releasing system creates sett rule automatically.
Why this happens w/o Eq.....eventhough i maintained cost ctr in Work ctr.

1.  For example if I create an order in Feb say 02 period & settles in April 04 period
In K088 in period fld i've to mention as 02 or 04?.....
Ans - If distribution rule is PER and cost you have incurred in 02 then you need to give period as 02.Reason is that system will pick up cost only for mentioned settlement period and settles only those.If there is no cost in period 04 and you give settlement period as 04 then system will not find any cost for period 04 to settle and will give message that nothing to settle.So system will first check for type of PER..then will check if any cost exists from settlement period given..if finds then settlees for that period only.this will happen with auto processing type.
2. If i go for PER settlement then how system considers & If is go for FUL then how system behaves....
Ans -If you maintain both PER and FUL - then system will first do for PER as above.After this if system finds any cost still as balance on order for previous periods then FUL rule will be used .With Full settlement type system first settles for settlement period as per 1 above like PER.Then if finds balance cost for settlement for all previous periods then that cumulative will be settled to settlement period given.These 2 steps happens in single processing but internally they are first as per PER and then final cumulative settlement for balance.
Hope I clarified all.
For quantities,settled quantities like hours will be available in reports.

    Dear Santosh,
    Settlement rule will be visible depending upon your setting in customizing setting of settlement rule creation.
    Check your order whether it is released. If not release it then check.

  • Sale Order without Division

    Hi,
    I have an issue in prodution system, there is a sales order created in 2008 without division (I dont know how the system allowed), this sale order is created with reference to a contract, and the contrct is having division. And now users want to close the sale order. When i am trying to open sale order in VA02 / VA03, it is giving error mesage " Sales area 1000 10 is not defined". Now I am unable to open the order.
    Pls anybody suggest me how to close this order??
    How system will allow to create a sale order without delivery??

    Hi,
    I can see a way by which this could have happened.
    Initially there was a sales area called 1000/10/00. For tihs sales area, some transactions were created. After sometime, by mistake or intentionally the assignment of this sales area is deleted in configuration. If this is done, it will affect the documents in retrospect and all those documents cannot be processed from then onwards. There is a possibility that this has happened in your case.
    Check some other sales orders for the sales org 1000 created in 2008 and you are bound to get this error. If you realise that there are lot of documents affected because of this, please check the change logs in the sales area configuration and find out when was the sales area dimantled in the system. There can be some business reason behind this. Find out the business reason, tell them implication of removing the sales area, do the configuration once again and rectify the affected documents once again by means of a Zprogram.
    Please check initially what is said, and let me know if you need more information on this

  • Production Order without Material Number and linked to a PM Order...

    Hi All,
    Is it possible to create a Production Order without Material Number (because it is a "just one time" production), and link it to a PM Order (enterred by a sister Plant) in order to finally report the cost to that PM Order?
    And if YES, how to do it???
    Explanation of the problem (business scenario):
    We have 2 Plants. Let say Plant "A" and Plant "B".
    Plant B is producing spare parts for Plant A.
    There are usual spare parts, which have a Material Number.
    But there are also spare parts which will be produced only once, and which don't have a Material Number. (= because it is a very punctual production).
    Plant A needs a punctual spare part.
    It creates a PM Order for Plant B.
    Plant B needs to create a Production Order for that spare part (without Material Number).
    Then, when confirmed and delivered, the cost of that production needs to be reported (assigned) to the PM Order.

    After some modifications on the Prod.Order Type and the creation of a Reference Operation Set, it seems to work.
    Still have a cost problem, but on the way to be solved.

    Create a BOM Application in OS30
    Create a new BOM ID in OS31 with BOM Usage as Production
    Assign this BOM ID in BOM Application
    Ensure that ID is responsible for Production planning alone.
    Then in that ID maintain a BOM alone without any items.
    Assign this BOM Application in Order type dependent parameters in OPL8
    Now u can create a production order w/o BOM

    could you check in the master data screen of the order if one BOM has been selected?
    please coudl you check your customizing the following transactions:
    OPJM
    OPJI
    what do you have in 'BOM slection field' MRP4 view of the header material?
    Please check if with this info you can find the missing data to explode the BOM

    It is possible to save order without any material.
    But if you want to restrict it, go to VOV8 and select your Sales Document Type and see if any incompletion procedure is assigned.
    Now go to SPRO - SD - BASIC FUNCTIONS - LOG OF INCOMPLETION ITEMS - SALES ORDER ITEM -
    and for your incompletion procedure maintain VBAP under table and MATNR under field name. Also you can tick on warning message, if user now tries to save the order without any material.
    So now you can restrict saving order without having any material.

  • SNP Planned Order without PPM

    Hi Gurus,
    I have a small confusion, Some of my products in a Production Plant donot have a  SNP PPM. and when i run network heuristic on that location product. It creates SNP Planned orders.
    Just for information the product location master has procurement type E (In House Production).
    Please help me out if this is a normal behavior of the system.

    Default behavior is to generate Orders without a source of supply.
    "If there is neither a valid transportation lane (for procurement type F; external procurement) nor valid PPM/PDS (for procurement type E; in-house production), the system creates an SNP stock transfer or SNP planned order with no reference to a source of supply. The same applies if there is no product at the source location of the transportation lane"
    if you dont want planned orders there,
    Try using the SDP relevance indicator for the location - product . Am not sure but you can use option 1 in it (though it sounds like it will not plan in DP too)

                 In standard SAP we can not do that. Even for some requirements of the customer this feature is required, specially in case of milestone billings, custom materials etc. client after saving the empty sales order they may create materials based on that sales order number.
                 If it is mandatary for u to save sales order only after the entry of the materials, u can try user exits or go for a code with the help of an ABAPer.

  • GTS 7.2 - Error with account assigned purchase order without material

    All,
    I am creating an account assigned purchase order without any material master in the feeder system (ECC 5.0) and it a standard SAP functionality.
    I am getting the following GTS related pop up message and documents are posted to technically incomplete documents in GTS 7.2.
    "Legal Control: Custs Prod. Mast. Required
    Material                                                  "
    Any ideas on how get rid of this error message

    James,
    Even though material numbers are not mandatory on POs in the feeder system (ie in ECC) they ARE mandatory in SAP-GTS.
    This means that every line item (PO, SO, delivery) that is sent to GTS for compliance screening or Customs processing MUST have a material number in the feeder system.  You have a couple of options to resolve this:
    1. Always use a material number on all transactions that you enter in your feeder system if they are exports or imports (ie relevant for GTS). You can create service materials or "dummy" materials in ECC for items such as user manuals, warranties or installation services that are part of a particular shipment.
    2. You can add logic in the interface for GTS to always transfer a particular material number to GTS if the material number is blank on the line item of the feeder system document.  Ideally you would want to link this custom logic to a custom maintenance table in ECC so that you can easily change the material number that is sent to GTS without having to change the code.
    3. Override the error message by changing the message type to a warning or informational message (not recommended because this would require a small code modification because I don't think the message type is configurable for this error).  Even if you did make this code change you would likely run into more issues in GTS because license determination and other GTS services need a material number to function properly.

    That's probably what is wrong with your scenario. Business shouldn't "want a purchase order", Business should want a process that works, irrespective of the transaction.
    It's up to the people that know how the ERP works, to tell the business how they should use it.
    If they are in the negotiation phase, they shouldn't be using a Purchase Order to do it, they are basically exchanging quotations.
    The Purchase Order should be used when you have already agreed to the terms. That's how SAP standard works,.

  • Profit center for purchase order without account assignment

    I've requirement to include profit centers in purchase orders without account assignment category.
    The trouble is when there is no profit center maintained in material master.
    Is there a way to determine profit center in purchase order for such cases?

    Define substitution in GGB1 at line item level as shown below:
    Prerequisite : BSEG-WERKS = Maintain plant
    Substitution : BSEG-PRCTR = maintain profit centre as constant value
    After define it, assign to the co.code.

  • GR with Production Orders without reference to material

    Hi,
    Would just like to ask if it is possible to perform Goods Receipt to a Production Order without material reference (that is, created via CO07)?
    Whenever I create order via CO07, I cannot perform a 101 Goods Receipt.
    It seems in the Production Order, in the Goods Receipt Tab, the Goods Receipt indicator defaults to not ticked and GR Non-valuated ticked; thus, Goods Receipt is not allowed.
    Is there any setting responsible for this? or is this really how the system behaves?

    This is standard SAP procedure, do the confirmations for rework order & rework material will be issued from stock to order.
    And GR will not be done for rework order. To get stock for reworked material do the GR for original/main order.
