I want to speed up my RMAN incremental backup. So i decide to enable the block change tracking mechanism. How to implement it ? Should i create any file or set any parameters? plz guide me...
    Oracle version:10.2.0.1.0

    TIA,

    ALTER DATABASE
    ENABLE BLOCK CHANGE TRACKING
    USING FILE os_file_name;
use this command on the database level. As soon as the file kept the data change tracking, u will speed up ur increamental backups.

  • Maintenance plan package change resulting in incorrect call dates

When we change a maintenance package on an existing maintenance plan to a package whose frequency is not an exact multiple of the previous package (for example, changing from a 6M 180-day package to a 1Y 365-day package) and then restart the plan, the call horizon of the plan seems to be ignored and the new call dates are always a day or so before the plan date regardles
Why is the call horizon being ignored in this situation?

    Hello
Please check the Option Start in Cycle while scheduling the Plan.

  • Preventive Maintenance Planning - change call date of future calls

    Hello,
we are using time based maintenance plans to schedule our maintenance obligations towards customers. After creating the plan and scheduling (IP10) we get the scheduled calls proposed by the system.
Now we want to use IP10 or IP19 to move those planned call dates that are in the future without releasing the predecssor calls but it gives us an error: "Maintenance plan 16.04.2009: Predecessor to still on hold".
Does anyone know if there is a way around this?
    Thanks,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias
As per your query... you cannot move the call dates which are in the future. First you have to skip the cal which are before the future cal date. then only you can do...

  • Delivery date changed 4 times-called to ask what is going on and then best buy cancelled order

I ordered a 55 inch aquos  with free ROKU stick for $599.00 on Sept. 22   (removed per forum guidlelines) and got a confirmed delivery of Sept. 26.  Unfortunately, I received a call in the morning of the Sept. 26 and was told that delivery was pushed to Tues, Sept. 30.
On Monday, Sept. 29, I received an automated call informing me that the Tv will be delivered on Sept. 30 between 3:30 and 5:30. and I also received an email with the same information. Thirty minutes later I received another email stating that the delivery is again being pushed to Oct. 13. so I called customer service. I was told he can change the delivery date to Oct. 3 but call in the morning to confirm availability with warehouse.I called customer service on Sept. 30 to confirm availability and was assured that the Tv will be delivered on Oct. 3.
On Thursday Oct. 2nd, I received another email stating the order will not be delivered until Oct. 16. I remained calm and called customer service and after a very long hold time I was able to speak with a representative and again after a long hold to check what is going on, she informed me that the order is now cancelled since the item is  discontinued. I told the representative that I already lost 3 days of work due to the delivery dates changing and since the TV has to be accepted by somebody 18 years or older I needed to be home. I asked if it is unreasonable to ask for the same exact TV but 1 size bigger since the 60 inch is available and in stock (but without the ROKU stick) but unfortunately I was told it is not possible. I asked to speak with a supervisor but they are all busy but she asked for my phone number so they can call me back in 20 min.. I waited but did not get a back from the supervisor the same day.
I called again today,  Friday, Oct. 3 and I was assisted by a nice lady who after explaining my situation was sincere with her apology. She told me that she will call me back so she can speak with a supervisor about my situation. I asked her too if it is unreasonable to ask for the same exact TV but next size bigger since the one I was sold is no longer available and I lost 3 days of work due to the 3 changes in delivery dates. She affirmed that it is fair but have no authority to make decissions but will relay the history of the order to her superior so they can make a proper resolution.
After about 15 minutes I got a call  back and was told that since the bigger TV is priced at 799.00 they will give me a 50.00 dsicount for the trouble. I declined the offer since I feel that  $50.00 dollars for getting the run around and missing 3 days of work is not proper compensation and is an insult to any customer. I thanked her for trying and informed her that I am aware that it is not her fault and it is management who made this decission.
I sincerely feel  that I should have been given the next size TV for the same price of my original purchase and I should have been given a ROKU stick (which I did not ask for) for my unpleasant experience.
We are  $150.00 apart from getting a resolution but management feels like it is the right thing to do for cases like these. Being a best buy customer for many years, spending many thousand of dollars,  I am  puzzled why best buy would treat any customer the way they treated me. Please explain the policy so I can have a better understanding. The $150.00 difference can easily be recopued from my next purchase. In my opinion, it is not a very smart business practice to lose a customer this way. Again, please explain the policy to me so I can understand better.

    Hello romcarlos1,
While unforeseen complications can cause unexpected delays, it seems something went wrong at every turn. Misinformation and multiple missed appointments would frustrate me too, and I can only imagine this frustration turned into aggravation with the poor service you describe. After pulling up your account, I noticed that has been two weeks since your TV purchase, and I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. I appreciate you allowing me the opportunity to explain what should have happened.
When your delivery day arrives, you should receive a call from us to narrow down the time frame to a 4-hour window.  This is done because our delivery agent’s schedule isn’t fully determined until the day of service as our customer’s needs may change prior to the delivery date. These routes are then best optimized to fit the appointments scheduled for the day. The particular television you wished to purchase is quite popular, however, and due to high demand, it’s currently on backorder in some areas of the country.  This may explain why your delivery date was continuously pushed back unexpectedly, and why we needed to reschedule multiple times.
While in backordered status, however, an online order may be cancelled if you don’t wish to wait any longer and a different model may be purchase. Upon review of your order, I noticed that it was canceled upon your request. If you have since changed your mind and wish to wait for one to arrive, you may place a new order here.
It sounds like you wish to purchase a new TV entirely though, so I understand if you don’t wish to attempt a new order. While I cannot guarantee you a different outcome than the resolution already offered, I’d be glad to look into your case to see what other options may be available. Please know I have sent you a private message to collect further information from you. You may view this by logging into the forum and clicking on the envelope in the upper right-hand corner of the page.

  • Track Master Data Changes for Multiple countries

    Hi experts,
I am in a Global HR Implementation & Rollout Project. We are creating Outbound Interfaces for 3 countries to export pay, time and general data to the 3rd party systems in those local countries. (Payroll is outsourced there).
As well as sending New Joiners data every month, we need to send Changers data also to all those 3rd partys every month before the Payroll runs.
    I know 2 solution for this :
a). Using Change Documents - Tcode : SCDO ..etc
    b). Using the report RPUAUD00.
    c). Using RBDMIDOC.
    Query :
1). Are these the only solutions ?
2). Whats the best solution for doing this for a Global Rollout project ? I need to track master data change for different countries for different set of Infotypes and fields. I need to send those Changers data as well as the New Joiners data through the Outbound Interface to all the local countries.
This year we are doing for 3 countires, next year for 9 more countries, etc. Whats the best solution keeping this in mind ?
    Restrictions :
1). Our Client HRs dont want us to disturb the report RPUAUD00 as they use that regularlly and want the flexibility to configure the configs themselves.
2). If I must need to create and activate Change Documents for ALL individual fields, is there an easy way of doing this ?
3). I need to send this Changers data from SAP to Legacy system, so dont know if RBDMIDOC will be a good solution for this. Any comments ?
Just want the best possible and feasible solution for this issue.
I will be please to allot point to anyone who gives a good solution.
Moreover will be Thankfull also !!
    Cheers.

  • Example of Change Tracking in Master Data Services

Ive read through, and performed the steps in this article by microsoft on change Tracking in MDS using business rules.
    MDS Change Tracking
The problem is that its not really tracking anything. The most i can do here is place a value in a column when some value in that row has changed. Its super limited and adds very little value:
-I cant make this value a date,
-I cant create a new row and set a field in the original row to "expired".
Basically I cant see how the product can do anything that one would actually need change tracking for.
Ive searched but found no demos on how this is actually used.
Is there a demo out there, perhaps by microsoft that shows the extent to which Change Tracking in MDS can be used ?

The feature allows you to run a business rule whenever a change is made to a tracked entity member attribute.  Business rules are the main extensibility mechanism in MDS, and can do way more than just setting a member attribute.  For instance you
can send email, kick of a workflow or run custom code through the misleadingly-named "External Workflow" functionality.
If you just need to enable downstream systems to extract master data that has changed recently, then you can simply filter using the LastChgDateTime column in the subscription views.

I have used PU12 for same purpose at a similar client. It will fulfill all your needs I guess, but the learning curve is big. Search for "Interface Toolbox" or "PU12". Basically your search will end-up in these two links:

  • Report for basic dates change in maintenance order

    Dear friends,
Client requirement is to see the orders for which basic dates have been changed. The scenario is when preventive maintenance is done , if the work cannot be done on the date(basic date in maintenanc eorder), the basic date is changed for a convenient time. They want to have a report showing all the ordres for which the basic dates have been changed and the changed dates detail( ie. initial basic date, changed basic dates).
    best regds
    Arun

Once you get the Change Document header data from CDHDR you will then need to get the change details from CDPOS.
Have a look at program RSSCD200 via TCode SE38.
There may well be a suitable function module for this...

Your script is correct except id in the url. You need to pass the url like

  • To track which line item the billing plan date changed.

    Hi All.
I have a requirment of tracking changes done for the billing plan date and whenever i change the billing plan date it will be reflected in the FPLA table. But i was not able to track to which line item of the subscription/order the billing plan date changed.
In the FPLA table there is a relation to the VBELN(subscription/order) only not POSRN(line item) is there. How can i track to which line item it got changed.
    Thanks for your help.
    Thanks,
    Neslin.

    Hi,
There should be entries in FPLTC for FPLNR found in table FPLA. Try from SE16, enter FPLNR preceded by zeros so that the total length is 10 and execute. For example,  FPLNR is 10, enter 0000000010.
    Hope it helps.

    Hi
The steps are clearly detailed in a blog by

You can look at the blog or I can email you the document .
Here are some of the tips from the blog
Hope this will solve your problem.
Change Tracking is a feature in SAP MDM, Using which we can track history of table records for the repositories. There are three are options, Track Adds, is track new field value when a record added. Track Modifies, track old and new values when the field is modified. Track Deletes, tacks old-field value when a record is deleted. In addition, for each type of change you can track, the setting of the root node of the Tables and Fields hierarchy determines the default setting for new tables added to the MDM repository. Similarly, for normal tables, the setting for each table node determines the default setting for new fields added to the table. Finally, the setting for each field node determines the actual setting for the field
    Step I>>Activate Change Tracking.
    Navigate the Selected repository,
    (your repository)>Admin>Change Tracking.
Click on Change Tracking, you will get Change Tracking Setting screen. Then choose the level of tracking root node of Table and Fields. In addition, there are three type tracking. That are Track Adds>>this option tracks new field value when a record is added, Track Modifies >> this option tracks old and new values when the field is modified, and Track Deletes >> this option tracks old field value when a record is deleted
Step III>>Logon to MS SQL Server
Start>Programs>Microsofr SQL Server-->Enterprise Manager,See the screen shot below for SQL Server logon.
You will get the SQL Server Enterprise Manager. See the screen below. Select the Database for the respective Repository (BP3_Customer_Workshop). For the each repository, there are two databases XXXX_m000 and XXXX_z000.
There are two databases CustomerWorkshop_M000 and CustomerWorkshop_Z000
Select the table A2i_CM_History under the CustomerWorkshop_Z000 and select query as below screen.
Choose/select the fields that you want execute the report/show.
You can find the record, which I (the user name 'mdmg') have edited at 9/6/2006 11:44:39, as seen below screen
    Thanks

    - it's all said in the title. I can't understand why the developers turn things bad ... risking loosing Apples valuable customers.
More examples needed? (check out the communities and the reviews)
    - OSX: Maverick to Yosemite = not recommended (check it out > http://roaringapps.com/apps)
    - iPad: older versions as iPad2 should not upgrade to iOS7/8 (it's not supporting its hardware accordingly, it's designed for the latest hardware)
    - iTunes (it's possible to rollback to 10.7 - 11.4, but you need to breech OSX system security framework)
    - Pages (was a real alternative for many of us, each update reduced features and created incompatibility to older work files)
The list could easily extend to ...

You can offer Apple feedback here: http://www.apple.com/feedback/

    dream on.

  • TRACK DATA CHANGES

Is there functionality within P6 where each users project data changes are tracked/recorded?
    Thanks

yes, P6 contains native database auditing which will record any and all changes in real time as they happen, including user session information.
Detailed info can be found in the admin guide but some general info is:
Configuring the Auditing Level: The granularity of each audit table audit is adjusted by setting the audit level. The audit level can be set individually for insert, updates and deletes.
    Level 0 - No Audit
Level 1 - Row-level Audit. Audit only the operation without column details
Level 2 - Column-level Audit without Blobs. Audit changes to the data at the column level but without Blob changes
Level 3 - Full Audit. Audit changes to the data at the column level including Blob changes (Oracle only)
In order to turn this on or off, you use the following format:
    auditing_enable(<table_name>,<level>)
    auditing_disable(<table_name>,<level>)
    e.g.
    Enable full auditing on all tables: exec auditing_enable(null,3);
    Enable level one auditing on the task table: exec auditing_enable(‘TASK’,1);
    Hope this helps
