Maintenance Order Confirmation in Different units

Dear all,
my client needs to have order confirmation in different units. That is they need to enter how much work is finished in km, piece or m3 .
Can i do that with iw41? i know thats time confirmation but from any similar screen?

John,
The system is hard-coded to accept UoM of TIME only
However, it is possible to confirm Km etc with a little manipulation of the system.
What you need to do is:
- Create a new UoM in the IMG. This UoM need to be time-based, but call it somthing like Kmt (travel kilometers)
- Create a new activity type for your Kmt
- Create a new cost via TCode KP26 for your cost centre and activity type
- Repeat steps above for other UoM
- Test in an order

    Could you tell me where you will assign personnel no in work center?
    As per  I know this personnel number will be assigned by HR only.
    The Confirmations from, PM interface supports the transfer of order confirmations from  Plant Maintenance (PM), Customer Service (CS), and Project System (PS) to the Personnel Time Management component in the Human Resources (HR) System. Performance-based payments are effected to employees on the basis of such order confirmations.
    The Confirmations from  PM, CS, and PS interface is used for confirmations entered manually in the LO System, and for confirmations collected from a plant data collection system (PDC, communication channels 2, 3, 4, 5). You can enter the confirmations for  PM, CS, PS, and PI as time tickets (hours worked). You can also enter confirmations for PP and PI as time events (start of working time, end of working time).
    Time ticket confirmations from PP and PI are posted as time tickets to the HR Incentive Wages component. Time ticket confirmations from PS, PM, and CS are posted as attendances to the HR Personnel Time Management component. Processing time tickets in HR has no effect on LO.
    Procedure in HR
    1.Call up the account list for the employee in question.
    2.Choose account list  Assigned personnel No. u2013>Create assignment.
    3.Specify a time period, in which a personnel number is assigned to the chosen account.
    If a new validity period overlaps an existing period with the same personnel number, both periods join to become one entry.
    4.Save your entries.

  • Maintenance Order confirmed to WBS element

    Hi,
    We have an issue where in a maintenance orer was confirmed to a WBS element which is has a User Status Profile Active which does not allow "Actual Activity Allocation'', "Confirm Order" etc. but still user was able to confirm Maintenance work order. How is this possible, please reply.

    I think the business process  "Actual Activity Allocation'', "Confirm Order" controled by user status should work for the project objects like the network order and the activity under the network order, but the PM order has a indirect relation with the WBS-element so it will not controled by the user status in WBS-element.

  • Rounding the order quantity in different Units of measurement

    Hello Experts,
    We need your suggestion to meet the below mentioned client's requirement.
    There are around 200 SKUs in the consideration and three units of measure ( case, carton and pallet  defined for them).We are looking for way to suggest the order qty based on multiples of the unit,  case, carton & pallet Quantities.
    The order will always be placed in base unit PC and system should suggest the best possible combination with a Pop Up message.
    For example with this SKU
    SKU         Unit       Case        Carton           Pallet
    123456      1         12               144              8640
    Customer ordered 10 units during the validation of that line  pop up message should suggest 12 units. (1 case)
    Customer ordered 5 units there should be no suggestion ( 5 units )
    Customer ordered 130 units during the validation of that line  pop up message should suggest 132 units. (11 cases)
    Customer ordered 146 units during the validation of that line  pop up message should suggest 144 units. (1 carton)
    Customer orders 153 units during the validation of that line  pop up message should suggest 156 units. (1 case + 1 Carton)
    Suggestions needs to be able to round up or round down based on the closest combination multiple.
    I have gone through the idea of roudning profile idea but need some more inputs as how to realize the same.
    As one material can have requirement in all alternate units of measurement and we can assign one profile per UoM in Material master and the order quantity is not dependent on any specific customer group so how would the system recogine/derive the best possible combination in different cases for different UOM.
    Pls provide your valable inputs.

    I don't think thsi is possible with SAP Standard settings & you will have to apply a User Exit.
    You ABAPer will have to develop a logic based on your requirements & then system can give a pop-up with best possible combination.

  • Different unit Measures Total in over all Result

    Dear All,
    The quantity is in different unit of measures like
    Presently getting:
    10PC
    10KG
    10PC
    20KG
    10ton
    Total *
    when add all those things the over result shows the *
    when i go with CKF  NODIM  option i could not found againest which order kgs are there and for which order pcs are there.
    So there is any option getting the overall result   total of different unit of measures .
      I want as below
    10PC
    10KG
    10PC
    20KG
    10ton
    Over all Result :
    20pc
    30kg
    10ton
    like that I need any possibility , Unit converion doing at  transforamation level based on the conversion factors
    but the  base unit of measure and Alternate unit of measures are  different orders are having different units , so it should be added.
    Please can anybody provide the some information.

    it looks like that , it is not good again the customer want total of the all units so the above one will not give
    in which way i mentioned in same either it is possible or not

  • How to change Unit for Breakdown Duration in Maintenance order.

    Hello,
    In cuni, somebody created Unit "TST" by mistake, system can not convert it to "second" for calculation automaticlly.
    "TST" make no sence. So if maintain "TST" as Unit for Breakdown Duration in a maintenance order, dump will happen. However there is a maintenance order maintained Unit for Breakdown Duration as "TST" saved by mistake, Dump will happen when I try to access to this order by IW32 to change the Unit for Breakdown Duration. Is there any way to change the Unit for Breakdown Duration"TST" to "H" so that I can access to this order by IW32.

    Hi,
    You could temporarly adjust the CUNI definition for TST so that it can be converted to seconds. Adjust the notifications to set a valid unit of measure.
    The alternative would be to update the field MAUEH in table QMIH with a valid breakdown unit of measure.

    When doing completion confirmation of a maintenance order material costs are being posted to Cost of goods sold account. How do I bypass the posting of material costs to this account because the same costs are being posted during settlement of order costs as well?

    I'm not sure that Completion Confirmation if Maintenance Orders (MO) will generate FI Posting.
    Normally, Completion Confirmation will generate CO Document with Secondary Cost Element.
    But, at Settlement process of Maintenance Order (MO), it's possible to generate FI Posting depends on Settlement Rule.

  • Digital signature error while confirming maintenance order

    hi all,
    while i try to confirm maintenance order i m getting following error.
    "Unable to find strategy information about strategy
    Message no. SIG403
    Diagnosis
    Signature strategy has been allocated to the function you selected. However, signature strategy  has not been defined in the system. The individual signatures may be missing.
    The system does not carry out the function."
    I checked in SPRO but couldn't find any configuration related to  digital signature..
    Please suggest how to overcome this issue..

    Digital signature is activated for the function  IW41.  AS per the SAP help i should maintain configuration  in
    " Maintenance and Service Processing >® Maintenance and Service Orders> ® Functions and Settings for Order Types --> -->Define Digital Signature for Order Types.
    I checked SPRO menu paths to locate above mentioned path. but it is not there

  • Weight unit on order confirmation

    Dear all,
    We created a sales order with materials for which the MM weight unit was in KG. We added them in the sales order with weight unit LB and also changed the weight. The gross weight for the sales order at header level is now displayed in LB but when we look at the print preview for the order confirmation the gross weight is mentioned in KG. I changed all material masters but still it displays in KG.
    Any ideas/suggestiosn on what to do?

    In paintenance plan I have funtional location.In object list I have 5 Equipments.Now when order is generated there are 4 operations.All the operation is same to all equipments.Is it right.
    Now when I am going for its confirmation,I don't know how to do the same on the basis of Equipment i.e object list.Can any one help me out with the steps involved in the same.

    1.In your case here we would do confirmation for each order operation and that will be applicable for all the eqpts in the oblect list of the order.
    2. If you want to generate separate order with same operations for different eqpts then use maintenance item in the maintenance plan .Thus maintenance order gets generated for each maintenance item in the maintenance plan.The same order would be applicable for the list of eqpts in the object list of maintenance item ..

    i need to enter work time in operation tab pages of maintenance order followed by two decimal digit like 2.55 mint or 2.65 H.System is not allowing to enter two or more than this decimal digits,it is allowing upto only one decimal digit like 1.5 H,2.3 min etc.How can I enter value like 2.56 min.Client is not accepting to enter after converting the unit.this is required for one of my specific scen.please suggest how I will enter 2.55 min or 2.55 H etc.thanks in advance.

    As standard the field is set to 1 decimal place.
    You cannot change this value without modifying your system (not recommended)
    I think you can enter more decimal places in the confirmation documents e.g. IW41

    I created a prt as equipment and assigned it to the routing. I created a production order and when i confirm the same i am getting following error as:
    Document MeasUnit has a different dimension to the characteristic unit
    Message no. IR071
    Diagnosis
    The measurement unit on creation of the measurement document must have the same dimension as the measurement unit of the characteristic of the measuring point.
    In this case, the measurement unit % does not suit the character unit EA of the measuring point 103.
    System Response
    Processing will not be continued.
    Procedure
    Use the possible entries help.
    Please suggest the solution.

    i have gone through entire post for the subject related to measuring point auto update from production order confirmation.  I have tried the same but i dont know what i am missing.
    if i put some value like 1 or 2 and appropriate UOM then only my measuring document is being updated with the same value not with the actual confirmed quantity..  i have already maintained standard formulla in prt view.
    my basic requirement is to get actual value of produced quanity as counter update. means if 20 pieces have been produced and confirmed in co11n, then counter must bhe updated with the value of confirmed quantity.
    please advice what value should i put as usage in routing master to get actuall counter update.

    I have created a standard value and attached a parameter of unit meter cube with the work center, however when i create maintenance order of same work center (by using IW31) system is not showing standard value parameter i attached on work center. It only shows activity type to select and operation duration in HRs.

    In this process operation we are consuming natural gas that i want to take as an input that how much gas has been consumed during maintenance. I have created a standard value key and then attached that with workcenter. now i want to take that gas consumption value during confirmation.

  • Classifikation for plant maintenance orders

    Hello Experts,
    we want to use classification for maintenance orders but we are struggling with the set up of the order types. It seems that order type 30 - maintenance orders - is not set up for classification (differently to order type 10 for example).
    Does anybody know if there is any chance to create an order type used for PM which enables the usage of classification?
    If it is possible, all details for the set up are highly appreciated.

    Pushpa - sorry, I don't understand what you are talking about, please explain a little more in detail, it is also the opposite statement of what Paul has replied.
    How can I classify PM orders which belong to order category 30? How to classify objects used in the orders I know, but how to classify the orders itselves - like you can do for example with orders of order category 10 - the normal production orders.
    My first idea was to change settings for order category 30 or to copy this category and assign the new category to PM - how to do this, is it possible, this was the question since I did not find any possibility.
    Paul confirmed that there is no way to do so.
    You said that you even classify orders of the Ides standard type PM01 - how do you do that? Sorry, I did not uderstand your explaination how to do - use an activity type? Could you please tell me what and how and where to do in detail?
