Karan,
You can change the Rendered Property through personalization.
But in your requirement you need to attach the Spell through personalization & extend the existing CO to set the value of the SPELL based upon the condition.

• How to make a field in a form required when the prior field (a dropdown) has content entered

I have a table with 15 columns of various questions/topics (year, course number, instructor, etc) and 14 rows of input fields. A couple are dropdown menus, but the rest are just text fields. The client wants (most) of the fields to be required but the amount of rows used will be different for each user. So I'm trying to get each row of fields to only be required if the first field in each row (which is a dropdown) has a selection made (to avoid users from getting a required field error if they only enter say 3 rows of content of the 14 possible rows.) I'm assuming this will be a javascript if/then situation, but have been having trouble finding a similar example via google. thanks!

Hi,
You can make fields non-editable at runtime using this code:
field.access = "readOnly"
Hope this helps.

• Not able to see make in /usr/local/bin even after installing the package

Hi,
I have installed the package make-3.8 for solaris 9 on my machine with sun os 5.9. But still I can not see 'make' in /usr/local/bin .
Does anyone have an idea why?
I installed the same as root using the command:
pkdadd -d <packagename>
But it gives me quite many warnings like :
WARNING : /usr/local/bin/make <not present on Read only file system>
WARNING : /usr/local/bin/doc/make/ABOUT-NLS <not present on Read only file system>
At the end it says Installation of SMCmake was successful
Still I can't see make in /usr/local/bin.

Seems like /usr/local is mounted read-only? Run
mount | grep local
or
touch /usr/local/test
and see if you can write files in the directory.

Follow the path:
SPRO>Sales and Distribution>Basic Functions>Partner Determination>Set Up Partner Determination.
Select "Set Up Partner Determination for Sales Document Header" if you want this to be done at the Header level partners.
Else if you want at the item level, select "Set Up Partner Determination for Sales Document Item".
Click on "Partner Determination Procedure Assignment".
Check what is the partner procedure assigned to your order type.
Click on "Partner Determination Procedures".
Select your procedure.
Click on "Partner Functions in Procedure".
Check the tick mark under "Not modifiable" under your "bill-to-party(BP)".

• Vendor field on SRM Purchase Order

Hi.
Please can someone elaborate and explain why my preferred supplier that I have entered onto my Cart does not copy through to the Vendor field on SRM Purchase Order please? At this moment, the Preferred Vendor field is incorrectly populated whereas previously, only the Vendor field was populated. We have the ECS activated.
Thank you.
Pooja!

Hi
Prefered vendor - if you manually added a vendor - This partner function no. 39.
check your BBP_PD whether you have prefered vendor or fixed vendor in partner head.
Fixed vendor -partner function is 19 like contract ...etc
check these details or your approver might be changed your source of supply if he has access to modify the cart.

In the approval task screenshot (above) pending value isn't listed.
"MX_PENDING_VALUE" is the entry type on which that mask (in the screenshot) is based.
I'm talking about the attributes and extented properties of the entry type the whole time. I can't make it any clearer than pointing out, that the reason field is set by looking at those properties on the entry type "MX_PENDING_VALUE". You won't find it on the UI mask or with a normal attribute.

• A/P Invoice Vendor Ref Number Field updating after adding the Invoice Copy

Hi All,
I am able to change the Vendor Reference number in A/P Invoice Document after adding the Document. I want to restrict this to happen. Plzz help how to do this????
Regards,
Sree.

1.The Modify Posted A/P Documents authorization refers to some fields only, e.g. the Due Date or Pay to address.
2. Additional authorization can be defined only for full forms, not for fields.
3. The SP Joseph suggests will refuse those modifications when the Vendor ref is empty.
To avoid modifying the Vendor ref you can use this code:
IF @Object_type = N'18' and @transaction_type = N'U'
BEGIN
declare @li int
set @li=
(select max(t.LogInstanc)
from ADOC t
where t.ObjType=18 and t.DocEntry=@list_of_cols_val_tab_del)
IF
(select isnull(t.NumAtCard,'')
from ADOC t
where t.ObjType=18 and t.DocEntry=@list_of_cols_val_tab_del
and t.LogInstanc=@li-1)
!=(select isnull(t.NumAtCard,'')
from OPCH t
where t.DocEntry=@list_of_cols_val_tab_del)
begin
Set @error = 10
Set @error_message = N'Vendor refernce not modifiable !'
end
END
Or if you want to allow modifying an unfilled reference, then this:
IF @Object_type = N'18' and @transaction_type = N'U'
BEGIN
declare @li int
declare @pref nvarchar(100)
set @li=
(select max(t.LogInstanc)
from ADOC t
where t.ObjType=18 and t.DocEntry=@list_of_cols_val_tab_del)
set @pref=
(select isnull(t.NumAtCard,'')
from ADOC t
where t.ObjType=18 and t.DocEntry=@list_of_cols_val_tab_del
and t.LogInstanc=@li-1)
If @pref !='' and @pref !=
(select isnull(t.NumAtCard,'')
from OPCH t
where t.DocEntry=@list_of_cols_val_tab_del)
begin
Set @error = 10
Set @error_message = N'Filled vendor refernce not modifiable !'

• Make a field required on record creation, read only after that

Hello,
Does anyone know of a way to make a pick-list field required on record creation, but read-only after that? The other twist to this is that we need to allow this field to also be read-write for all the integration edits, since this field's value could change in the enterprise database.
Thanks,
Neal G.

Hi !
I think you can add a validation rule for that. Something like :
IIf(PRE('<YOURFIELD>') IS NULL, <> '', = PRE('<YOURFIELD>'))
This means that if the previous value of your field is null (it's a creation), so the value must be different than blank. Else, it must be equal to the previous value, so not modified.
I didn't tested it, but I let you get back to me if it works... or not !
You'll just have to add a message saying that this field is required on creation and readonly after...
Hope this will help, feel free to ask more !

hi,
u can do it in chanin end chain.
For example if there are 10 fields in the screen and for 5 fields whenever the user enters wrong values u like to give some error message. You can declare that fields in the chain enchain so that only those fields will be input enabled and all other fields will disabled.
CHAIN.
FIELD chk_connobj.
FIELD chk_inst.
FIELD chk_devloc.
FIELD ehaud-haus.
FIELD eanl-anlage.
MODULE modify_screenfields.
ENDCHAIN.
*& Module modify_screenfields INPUT
* text
MODULE modify_screenfields INPUT.
CLEAR okcode.
okcode = sy-ucomm.
CASE okcode.
WHEN 'ENTER' OR 'EXECUTE'.
IF chk_connobj IS INITIAL AND chk_inst EQ c_x AND
chk_devloc EQ c_x.      -----------> ur condition
IF ehaud-haus IS INITIAL.
SET CURSOR FIELD 'EHAUD-HAUS'.
MESSAGE e000(zo_spa) WITH text-017. " message obj
ELSE
loop at screen.
if screen-name = 'FIELD_NAME'.
field-name-input = 1. -----------> chnges to non-edit mod
modify screen.
endloop.
ENDIF.

• Make IBAN field necessary for vendor master

Hi SAP gurus,
is there any way to make IBAN field in bank details necessary for vendor master?
I have tryed with SAPMF02K - EXIT_SAPMF02K_001 but there isn' t a iban filed.
thx in advances

Moderator: Double-post

Dear all,
no unfortunately you can not set up this in field status.
It is possible as a workaround to use 'Bank Details' as mandatory in
OBD3.
This is possibly because IBAN can not be entered alone without the
traditional Bank Details. However, once you have entered the
traditional bank information, it is not possible to set the IBAN as a
mandatory field.
If I were you I'd have a look at user exit and SAPMF02K to
check the vendor master data.
You have also BTEs:
00001440 VENDOR MASTER DATA: Final checks
I hope it helps You.
