Hi Oliver,
One way I understand is with this...

To do it yourself, IIRC you have to do it in HTML, some help here...

    Any idea how to get the apple logo on a mail signature on my macbook pro? I cannot seem to do this!!

    You can use the Mail app to add a signature and logo to any of your accounts.
    Web based email can't use signatures at this time.
    Google for instructions and the stuff you'll need to create a signature.

  • Mail signature with fortunes

    hi, everyone!
    i want to add a random signature everytime i compose a new mail. this signature should be generated with the stdout put from the good old comand line tool 'fortune'.
    i've already written an applescript that will do that but i don't want to execute the script everytime i want to write a new mail instead this should be done automatically evertime i hit compose mail.
    i didn't found a solution yet and when i search for 'random signature' they always come up with the functionality to choose a random signature of all available sigantures... a bad solution might be to create 1000 signatures
    have anyone of you an idea to realize that - with or without applescript?!
    thx

    first, you don't need the extra action to add attachments. if you drop some items on the saved application they will be passed to the "new Mail message" action as input and will be added as attachments. also, in my testing it seems that the processes of attaching the attachments seem to bump against the process of adding the signature. it get the same result as you originally but if I add a delay to the run applescript action then it works as it should so try
    1. new mail message.
    2. run applescript
    on run {input, parameters}
    delay 1
    tell application "Mail"
    set the message signature of (item 1 of input) to signature "My Signature Name"
    end tell
    return input
    end run

  • Set Mail Signature with Run AppleScript Action inside an Automator workflow

    Hello,
    Not sure if I am posting this at the right spot, but I would need some assistance. I am trying to write an Automator Workflow application. The purpose for this application is to:
    1. Drag one or more attachments on the application/droplet icon
    2. Automator workflow creates a new mail message in Mail with the attached items already addressed and ready to go to
    I setup the following Workflow inside Automator:
    1. New Mail Message
    2. Add Attachments to Front Message
    So this is all working just fine. Now I would like to add a step in between of type "Run AppleScript". In this "Run AppleScript" action I have the following code:
    on run {input, parameters}
    tell application "Mail"
    set the message signature of input to signature "My Signature Name"
    end tell
    return input
    end run
    So my workflow looks now like this:
    1. New Mail Message
    2. Run AppleScript
    3. Add Attachments to Front Message
    I am getting the following error:
    Can’t make «class situ» "My Signature Name" of application "Mail" into the expected type.
    So, in essence I am trying to select a signature for that particular new mail message in this workflow. And that does not work. Any help would be appreciated.

  • How can I create an HTML Mail signature?

    I've spent the evening searching for a way to create an HTML Mail signature with no luck.  My problem is that when I create a new signature in Mail and close mail I try the following:
    1.  Create an HTML signature in Dreamweaver CS6
    2.  Open it in Safari &amp; save it as a .webarchive to the desktop &amp; close Safari &amp; Dreamweaver
    3.  Open the signature folder (through Finder) and copy the Mail generated name (.mailsignature or it could be .signaturemail - can't remember) &amp; delete the file
    4.  Click on the .webarchive and replace the name with the .mailsignature
    5.  Copy the new .mailsignature file &amp; paste it to the signature file
    6.  Open mail and try to use the signature
    7.  NOT WORKING
    THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR ANY SUGGESTIONS!
    PS  I use iCloud if that makes any difference.

  • Image in Mail Mail signature is pixelated. How can this be fixed?

    Hi there,
    When I create a mail signature with image (72 dpi) in Mac Mail, the sent image looks very pixelated to the recipient. When I use a higher res image (150 dpi), it looks clear but then the image is huge to the recipient. To try and solve this issue, I have created an HTML signature and image looks fine, but since I have to impletment this across a large organization, having to go in and alter everyone's mail settings is not an option.
    Does anybody know why this happens?
    Many thanks!

    If you are asking how, while creating a email message, can you switch from the current outgoing email email message and look up a previous email to reference a line to include in the outgoing email without having to "save as draft or cancel" and the go back to the email message I am creating, this is my problem too. If the is not what you meant, consider this a new topic as I did not find an answer without going 10 pages deep in "topics".
    Thanks

  • E-signature with photo goes out as an attachment

    I am very new to MacBook. I recently created e-mail signature with a photo. When an e-mail is sent to Mac, it shows the signature with a photo in the body of the text and also shows the signature as an attachment. But when the same e-mail is sent to PC, the signature with a photo shows only as an attachment. It creates a problem since recipient has to open the attachment to read the signature.
    Is there any way to send email signature with a photo not as an attachment?
    Thank you in advance for your kind assistance.

    Apple Mail encrypts messages differently than the rest of the Pack.
    It embeds Attachments into the body of the message.
    Everyone else Attaches it separate from the body.
    To comply, Mail (I think) complies with both.
    And when .Mac subscriber emails other .Mac subscriber,
    they both use Apple's system, when Gmail-er emails Yahoo-er
    or .Mac-er emails Gmail-er Mail attaches it both ways.

    sonic,
    There is a known bug in Mail 2.1 associated not only with the inclusion of hyperlinks in sigs., but also the association of sigs with accounts.

  • Mac Mail signature: hyperlinks?

    i had my signature set in my Mac Mail (on my G4 iBook) to include my homepage, written as such: www.ctfoto.com
    ...without the 'http://' included, it nonetheless appeared in emails i sent as a highlighted hyperlink.
    now though, with my new PowerPC G5, this doesn't appear as a hyperlink unless i include the 'http://'. for esthetic reasons though, i'd rather have it without the 'http://'.
    so, two questions:
    a- can i do such a thing? is this a G5 issue?
    b- will html work in the signature pane? or another similar language?
    (i guess that's four questions...)
    -thanks,

    Here's what I do & a solution to all who want to use an HTML signature with links and even CSS in-line formatting. FYI Mail uses the web archive format to produce the signature file.
    It looks more complicated than it really is:
    1. CLOSE THE MAIL APP
    2. Create the HTML you want to use as a signature.
    3. Open the file using Safari and save it as a web archive onto your desktop.
    4. Go into mail and create a new signature. This doesn't have to be anything special since you are going to overwrite it anyway.
    5. Open finder and navigate to Username > Library > Mail > Signatures
    6. Copy the name of the new signature (it's long!) you just created there (the one with today's date and time you created it incase there are others).
    7. Rename the webarchive you created on your desktop from the HTML signature you created in step 1 with the name of the 'Mail-created' signature.
    8. Copy that webarchive into the Signatures folder and replace the other one with the same name.
    9. Reopen Mail and assign your new signature to your account(s).
    I even use images in a few of mine. Have a blast.

  • How do I add a hyperlink to an image in my Mail signature

    In outlook I can simply add a URL to an image in a signature like in the image I've attached. When I try to add a link to an Image in Mail it changes the image to a blue underlined link. How do I add a hyperlink to an image in my Mail signature?

  • I want to add a graphic signature in mail that contains hyperlinks.  Can this be done?

    I've created an e mail footer/signature in Illustrator, chooped it up into slices, inserted slices into the signature window within Mail and have added links to some of these slices.
    But that's where things go wrong.  The slices are all over the show, and the hyperlinks do not work.  This also have to work accross Mac and PC platforms which is proving impossible and i'm just about at a loss.
    Has anyone done this before and have any tips as to how to achieve a professional looking e mail signature that can contain hyperlinks.

  • Mountain Lion problems with Mail Signatures, Pages, Numbers, Keynote - This quick fix solved all my problems with these. Pages etc wouldn't launch and needed to be force quitted. Mail signature changes wouldn't save.

    The solution was simple in my case. I don't know why it worked and it may have been entirely coincidental but its worth a try.
    Close all applications and restart Mountain Lion.
    Log in as Guest. I opened Pages at this point but I don't know if that's required.
    Log out and then back in as your normal user.
    Pages, Numbers and Keynote now were fine for me and Mail signature changes were saved and available for later use.
    For those trying to edit the signatures to get their old ones back - I just found an old sent mail and copied the signature there into the newly created one via the normal preferences. No need for opening .mailsignature files and editing them. This included various colours, sizes, an image and a link with no problems.
    I hope this helps anyone having some of these problems.

  • Can i use an html signature with mail in SL?

    my company uses a standard html signature. is there a way that i can use it with mail app? how do i do that?

    you can create a signature in mail preferences->signatures. the editing tools there are very basic but if your company's signature is not too fancy you might be able to recreate it. if that's not good enough, the only way around that i know is a the following hack
    create a dummy signature in mail preferences->signatures. then go to the directory /users/username/library/mail/signatures and locate the webarchive with your signature. then make an html file using your favorite html editor. put whatever you need in it. save it and open it in safari. then save it as a webarchive from safari and overwrite the dummy signature you made with that webarchive.

  • [Mail] Replacing a signature with a text in the plain text alternative..?

    Hi all.
    I just created a signature for Mail. All is good, I created it in HTML and adapted it accordingly. The issue is, I have my name on it in a sort of logotype so I'm not typing my name explicitly in any email. Now, if the application settings of the other party is set to display emails in plain text format, the plain text alternative of the email will naturally omit the signature thus my name.
    Is there any chance I can make it replace the signature with my name for the plain text version? I tried using the 'alt' attribute in the 'object', 'div' and 'img' tags, CDATA and some other tricks but no luck yet. Hope someone has an experience in this subject that has resulted in success...
    Thanks in advance.

    If you open a HTML document in a text editor (not TextEdit), you will see stuff like:
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
    "http://www.w3.org/TR/2000/REC-xhtml1-20000126/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en">
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
    <title>Untitled</title>
    <meta name="generator" content="BBEdit 6.5.3" />
    </head>
    <body>
    </body>
    </html>
    The part that you need to keep is just the anchor tag:
    It depends on how the document is saved, so if an application includes the headers (you can't really tell by just looking at the rendered document), you need to manually remove them. I use BBEdit to create a HTML file with just the anchor tag, so I don't have to worry about what an application is going to copy it as.
