Manage Blog Editing

I work for a school district and I am just getting started with using the blog services of our server Mac OS X Server 10.5 Leopard). My question is this: we want our students to be able to edit their blogs during school hours only so they can be supervised. However, we want the blogs to be viewed only after school hours so that the students and parents can see the work. Is that possible?

WRT highlighting, I was unable to highlight using Firefox. However, Safari does use the highlighting tool correctly.

  • Solution Manager Enterprise Edition upgrade slow

    Hi
I am performing SOMAN 7.0 upgrade to Enterprise edition by upgrading kernel 701 and SP stack 18. I have already upgraded the kernel and java stack and now in the process of upgrading ABAP. I am expereincing really slow performance of this upgrade. I have checked tp and R3trans version which is uptodate as I updated kernel. I cant see any problem with CPU utilization as well swapping. I checked the SLOGs and there are no alerting errors. I see its moving and its very slow. I am just wondering if any of you guys experienced this - is this normal since this is a upgrade?

Thanks a lot, i realize the installation following the standard add-on installation procedure!

  • Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition...

The update server is not responding. I'm attempting to build a deployment package for Captivate. I get this error after the Updates screen.
We are behind a proxy. I suspect that is the issue. Is there a way to manually enter the proxy information via some config file so that AAMEE knows how to connect?

June 3rd 2014, I am seeing this. I am unable to reach Adobe server while packaging up Design and Web CS6. I have confirmed with Networking its not a firewall issue. Even stranger, our PC's are able to connect to the servers and update and download CC trials.
We are using Casper and an internal software update server for Adobe. Does anyone have any advice?

  • Managing and editing image and video files on the go

I am looking for the best solution to store, manage and edit pictures and videos taken with external devices (DSLR camera and GoPro primarily) using my iPad as an interface and not requiring a computer.  I was initially thinking that some sort of portable hard drive was the ticket, however, the Apple Lightning to SD reader might be an option as well.  In any case, I don't want to use my iPad for storage, but only to access files from the storage medium.  Here are the requirements I am looking for:
Ability to view and manage (including delete) the files from the storage device using my iPad
No requirement to load or sync the files onto the iPad to be able to view and delete the files
Easily be able to select and transfer specific files to my iPad to work with and publish
Ability to export edited files from my iPad back to the storage medium once I am done working with it (I could work around this one if necessary)
Whatever I end up with should be small enough to easily pack and transport when I am travelling
What would the best device be for me?
I have looked at the new Hyperdrive iUSBport HD as one possibliity, but I am not very familiar with their devices.  I guess my other option is to buy several SD cards and use the Apple Lightning to SD reader, but I'm not certain it will accomplish everything I am after.  Especially in the later case I would really need to be able to view and delete files (video in particular) that I do not want.  Any advice on the above devices or other devices that I should look at?
    Thanks,
    Matt

  • What is the Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition (AAMEE)?

The Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition is a configuration application designed to package Creative Suite applications as MSI on Windows and PKG for Mac for silent deployment to multiple end user machines. Featuring an easy-to-use interface, it allows IT specialists to automatically enter and validate volume serial numbers over the internet prior to installation, choose which applications are installed, disable automatic updates, and turn off manual registration.

  • Redundancy for Cisco Unified Communications Manager Business Edition 8.0.

    Hi,
Is there redundancy for Cisco Unified Communications Manager Business Edition 8.0.
Can I deploy more than one server at a site for redundancy?
    Thanks
    Mudassir

No. UCM-BE is a single-server solution. You can use CME in SRST mode for survivability if the server is offline.

  • EHP2 for Solution Manager Enterprise Edition

    Hi
Can anyone please list the main features delivered by EHP2 for Solution Manager Enterprise Edition or point me to where I can find these?  And if you only have one Solution Manager system for your landscape can someone confirm if EHP2 will be activated automatically? Will any new functionality still be delivered in the support packs in between the enhancement packages?
    Many thanks in advance
    Peter

    Hi Peter,
Availability dates for a potential EhP2 for SolMan are not yet communicated.
Activation would be similar to update to EhP1. It's not automatically.

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager Business Edition

    Hi,
As per my understanding this is only one server solution and you can not have more than one server i.e no sub only Pub. Is this correct?
    Thanks
    Ati

    Hi Ati,
You are most correct :) This is is "single server" solution for small to medium sized businesses up to 500 users. It comes packaged with Unity Connection for Voicemail.
    Here is a clip;
"Cisco Unified Communications Manager Business Edition is an easy-to-manage solution that combines voice, video, mobility, and messaging on a single server to simplify system administration and reduce hardware and operating expenses. This solution provides cost-effective deployment options for medium-sized organizations with smaller IT staffs that require all the advanced capabilities of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (formerly Cisco Unified CallManager), Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco Unified Mobility (formerly Cisco Unified MobilityManager), and integrated management on a single server to expedite migration to unified communications."
    From this good doc;

    Hope this helps!

  • Solution Manager Enterprise Edition - Creating Service Desk

    Hi All...
Being a Channel Partner of SAP we have authority to sell sap licenses to our customers.
Now we want to setup a service desk for them in our Solution ManagerEE.
Could you please help me to understand....
1> I am not able to understand the extra functionality of SolMan EE with respect to Service Desk creation.
Do we really required EE for Service Desk? or with just normal SolMan we can setup that?
         2nd is...
2> I am not able to understand how do I can create system in SMSY, because possibility of having same SID for any of our customers.
I am not sure how do I can setup a Service Desk for each customers separately.
If any one of you guys have did same kinda config. before, please guide me....
    Thanks!

    >      Do we really required EE for Service Desk? or with just normal SolMan we can setup that?
SolMan EE has some additional functionality but that is not related to the service desk. A "normal" solMan is enough.
    > 2> I am not able to understand how do I can create system in SMSY, because possibility of having same SID for any of our customers.
You can use SIDs like "SID_A" and "SID_B".
    >      I am not sure how do I can setup a Service Desk for each customers separately.
Follow the IMG - and note 1023598 - SAP Solution Manager Service Desk for service providers
    Additional info:
Out of my experience with the service desk: We are using it since SolMan 2.2 and if we could choose again we would definitely use a different product because
    - as soon as you drift away a little bit from the standard configuration, that you can use by default (but often needs adaption) it becomes really complex. Support desk is based on CRM so make sure that you have CRM knowledge (including PPF) in house if you want to do the configuration alone
    - after each service pack/support stack installation something is not working and almost each time we need help of the support (OSS/CSS) to get things fixed again
    - Bidirectional communication is not possible, you can send answers/inquiries to the message creator but answers are not "automatically" put back into the system (e. g. Mail parsing). That is the biggest drawback
    - The UI (if you use the GUI) is.. well... not really intuitive

  • Provisioning Manager Business Edition on Linux

Has anyone successfully installed and configured the Linux Version of Provisioning manager that came with the BE6000 8.6 bundle?
I can get the IP/Network config done using the Quick Start Guide, but then the guide references logging in with admin, and doing root_enable, then setup SSL Certificate.  Anybody knows what the missing/correct steps are to get this up and running.
    Thanks.

Thanks Andrew - fortunately I didn't have to re-install.  Just changed the last 6 digits of the MAC to 11:11:11 and the web interface loads.
The documentation I have been using for this install is lacking, especially for a non-Linux head like myself.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/prime/unified_provisioning_manager/9.0BE/quick-start-guide/Cisco-Unified-ProvManager-90-BE-QuickStartGuide.html#wp34936
Below are my very crude notes in hopes they will be of use to someone.  There are likely some errors, but should get you on the right track.
These notes from the above link start at "Installing OpenSSL and Generating a Certificate"
    Install SSL - as root
Attach ISO to the VM as a CD Drive then:
    mkdir /mnt/cdrom
    mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom
    cd /mnt/cdrom
    Ls
    Cp OpenSSL0.9.8s-Linux_P90X.zip /home/admin
    Cd /home/admin
    Ls
    Unzip OpenSSL0.9.8s-Linux_P90X.zip
    Cd OpenSSL-0.9.8s-Linux_P90X
    Cp -fr * /opt/cupm/httpd
    Cd /opt/cupm/httpd/bin
    Chmod 777 openssl
    ./openssl genrsa -out /opt/cupm/httpd/yourdomain.local.key 1024
    /opt/cupm/httpd/bin/apachectl -k stop
    ./openssl req -new -key /opt/cupm/httpd/yourdomain.local.key -x509 -out /opt/cupm/httpd/yourdomain.crt -days 365
    Answer SSL questions
    /opt/cupm/httpd/bin/apachectl -k stop
    Vi /opt/cupm/httpd/conf/ssl.conf
Edit the following lines with the paths created above:
    SSLCertificateFile /opt/cupm/httpd/southwestfcu.crt
             SSLCertificateKeyFile /opt/cupm/httpd/southwestfcu.local.key
    Cd /opt/cupm/httpd/bin/conf
    Cp httpd.conf httpd.conf.bak
    Edit the following with VI
    Vi httpd.conf
Commend out these 2 lines  (/mod_ssl.c to find them)
Backup then edit ssl.conf to "uncomment" the lines below.
    Cp ssl.conf ssl.conf.bak
    Vi ssl.conf
    Uncomment these 2 lines:
    Verify/modify these lines:
    Listen 443
    ServerName host.your-domain.com:443
Save your file and back to command line restart Apache:
    /opt/cupm/httpd/bin/apachectl -k start -DSSL

  • Why doesn't right-click work in Bookmarks menu anymore? Why do I have to open some Bookmark manager to edit/delete Bookmarks?!

Until this 29 update, I was able to simply right-click in the Bookmarks menu on any Bookmark and do whatever I wanted like open it's properties to edit it or simply delete it straight from that menu. Now, suddenly, that right-click menu is all blanked out. It's only usable when you go to the Bookmark manager. Why was it necessary to forbid people from deleting and editing Bookmarks from the Bookmark menu?! Why do I have to now go through some extra steps of opening the Bookmark manager then finding the Bookmark to edit or delete it when I could have done all that straight from the menu?!

  • Manage Distribution Edit Installer problem

    I am using Labwindows 8.1
I have a small project that I am having problems building. When I go into the Manage Distributions, click edit and then go to Drivers & Components, there are several components checked that are not needed . I am not sure how they got checked. I am unable to uncheck them.
    For example the:
NI LabView Run-Time Engine 2009 SP1 has a gray check mark in the checkbox. I am unable to uncheck it.
Nothing in my project uses this so I am not sure how it got checked.
How do I uncheck the unwanted components?
How did they get checked in the 1st place?
On a few of the checked components, the path it expects is a bogus path, I have no idea why it wants to point to the path.
Example: NI I/O Trace 3.0.2 is pointing to a directory on our company share drive: F:Groups\Engineering Transfer\Software Release\VATS which is for a totally separate release for another labwindows project.
    Please help!
    Thanks!
    John W.

    Thanks for the reply,
Attached are screen shots of the Drivers and Componenets and also my project tree and the only file that has external include files.
The project is fairly simple. The application chooses a particular board to communicate with. It sends test commands via either serial port, parrallel port, gpib, or usb/serial to the board and the board does the test commanded and then returns status.
The path for the NI LabView components is now C:\program Files\National Instruments\Shared\ProductCache
They were pointing to a folder on our shared drive, but I changed the path to the above. I was able to build the project successfully.
It seems the paths changed to the bogus path when I created a project folder for a completely different project and ran the setup. The path for this new project is what this projects NI LabView components were pointing to.
The C:\program Files\National Instruments\Shared folder is the only area I know of on my computer that any Labview related files reside.
It works but I still would like to understand why these LabView components are checked.
I am using Labwindows 8.1, windows XP
    Thanks!
    John W.
