Manage Table / Modify column does not display current values

Hi,
when I choose "Modify column" from the menu "Manage table", the current properties of the column, i.e. type, size and so on, are not shown, but are defaulted to whatever value has been defined inside that page, so the column type is always set to "Number" for instance.
It would be definitely better to retain the current values, in my humble opinion.

I have also run into this problem. I am running IQ 16.0 sp1. I wanted to increase the number of characters in one of the columns so I have to create a new column, copy the data, delete the old column then rename the new column.
Is there any reason the MODIFY function is not implemented in IQ?

Cfgrid checkbox column does not display bgcolor

I am running CF9 in Firefox and have a page with an editable grid. I have different background colors for certain groups of columns.
When I define a column as follows:
<cfgridcolumn name="HidePrice" display="true" header="Hide Price" width="40" select="yes" bgColor="##E7F3F1" type="boolean" />
it shows as a checkbox but the background color does not show. This same bg color does show in adjacent columns. That's my first problem.
In addition, I have applied some styles to the extJS cells using stuff like this:
.x-grid3-col-8 {height:42px;}
.x-grid3-col-9 {text-align:right;height:42px;}
.x-grid3-col-10 {text-align:center;height:42px;}
.x-grid3-col-11 {text-align:right;height:42px;}
This worked fine before I added the checkbox, but the checkbox field (in this case it's field .x-grid3-col-10) throws off the column count and the subsequent styles affect the wrong columns. As if the checkbox was not a full-fledged grid column.
Anybody have an inkling what's happening?

This hasn't received an answer in almost two months?
I've searched the docs and online and I have yet to find a solution, but BUMP and you're not the only one.

Setting DAQ channel by property node does not display the value

I am writing a configuration VI to set channel selection and calibration parameters for an SCXI chassis. I store a default setup in a configuration (ini) file and read that file automatically when the VI is called. The value from the file are set by property nodes using the "Value" property. The values from the file do not display in the DAQ channel selection rings, but the numerical calibration values do display correctly. When I click the down arrow in the channel rings, the correct value displays.
This behavior exists both in LabView and app-builder EXEs. Also, if I change the property nodes for the DAQ channels to local variables, it works. The Value (signaling) property doesn't cause them to display
properly either. Why can't I use the property node?

I don't understand exactly what you are trying to do.
Please upload a simple VI to demonstrate the behavior you are describing. Remember also to attach the .ini file.

Outlook 2013 Bug - Categories Column Does Not Display Color In Certain Positions

My System: Outlook 2013-64 on Windows 7-64
When looking at my email list (preview pane off), the categories column displays its color and text. But when the Categories column is moved to the left of the "from" column, it ceases to display its color and displays only its text, even when
the column is wide enough to display everything for a category.
Can someone tell me how to fix this?
This did not happen in Outlook 2010 and 2007.

I just confirmed this issue exists on Outlook 2013, when categories
column is dragged to the left to From, the categories don't display the colors but label texts instead.
While I didn't find this issue on Outlook 2010 or Outlook 2007.

Profile Manager Settings for Group does not display for individual members of the group

Hi there,
Can anyone confirm whether I am going mad or not, I and new to Mac Server and have set up Profile Manager on OSX Mavericks from scratch and have been using it successfully to deploy enterprise iPads. I have just gone to edit the profile as we wish to increase the timeout time to locking and have been greeted with something strange.
We have all users in a Group which has settings applied for timeout, pass code change etc. however if I go to an individual account who is part of that group then it isn't showing any settings for that user and it would appear I need to set them again. Similarly if I go to a device belonging to a member of the group then its not showing any settings for that device.
I would have assumed that if you set restrictions for a group then when you view the restrictions for a member of the group then it would be the same however it appears that you can have a separate payload for a group. Is this the case?

That was never the way it worked in older versions of 10.3, 10.4, 10.5, 10.6 Server.
The restrictions for a Group were shown for a Group. The restrictions for a User (alone) were shown for that User.
And the advantage is that if you see something wrong for a single user, you might be tempted to fix it there, in that user, and when you had changed six of them, you might remember that you meant that to be a group setting after all.
And the software to implement them separately is simpler, but YOU have to test it to find out the end results of compositing Group and User settings.

Multiline table container element does not display the contents

Hi Guys,
I am sending an email from the workflow. The workflow has few steps and in one of the steps the the workflow brings in few lines of text. This text is then stored in a multiline container element in the workflow.
later in the workflow i am sending an email and this sendmail step is using the multiline containter. So in the body of the email i have used the container as shown below
Your expense for the trip &TRIPEXP.TRIPNUMBER& has been rejected.
The Reason for rejection(s) mentioned below:
&CATSXT_LONGTEXT_ITAB##&
Please change and submit again.
However when i recieve the email i dont see any text. But when i look at the workflow log and check the contents of this table under the workflow container elements it has the data in it.
Not sure where i am going wrong. I have checked the bindings and they are fine.

Yes that was the missing link.
One question:
When i use sendmail step and use the variable drop down box i can see the workflow container elements. So why do i need the same container element in the sendmail setp? I just now created same element in the sendmail task. When i am able to access the workflow container elements in the send mail step then why there is a need to create a same container element in the send mail step and then do the binding for it to work?

PC report S_E38_98000088 does not display periodic values

Dear colleagues,
In ECC6.0/new GL we are trying to use report S_E38_98000088 to display Actual/Plan values for a specific month/period, but it looks like the system will always show a cumulative value since the beginning of the fiscal year.
We enter the following on the selection screen:
Currency type: 10
Company code: XXXX
Account number: XXXXXXXX
Ledger: 0L
Controlling area: XXXX
Plan version: 1
Fiscal year: 2011
From Period: 4
To period: 4
Profit Center: XXXXXXX
But when we execute the report, and srill down to the line item level, we see that the report picks up all posting in 2011 instead of 04.2011 only.
The same happens if we try to execute the report for 12.2010 - it will select all postings in 2010.
Anyone knows why is it working like that and how can I display a specific period?

this is not a bug.
Please bear in mind that this report shows cumulative values
for Balance Sheet accounts.
The calculated keyfigure BILWERT (Balance Sheet Value) behaves in
different ways for balance sheet and for P+L accounts. For balance sheet
accounts it always provides you with cumulated values. For example
for period 6 to 6 it will show cumulated value for periods 1 - 6 plus
balance carry forward value.
The BILWER is calculated like:
BILWERT = WERTB + WERTE,
WERTB - Balance sheet accounts value
WERTE - Income statement account value
But if an account is a P+L statement account, you will see the
real period balance value for the particular period range. It means,
that for period 6-6 you will see value for the single period 6. For
period 1-6 you will see cumulated value for period range 1 - 6 without
balance carry forward.
The report behaviour is dependent on your Financial Statement Version
(FSV) and how the particular accounts are valuated.
It means the following:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1) All accounts assigned to the nodes "Assets" and "Liab+Equity" are
   taken as balance sheet accounts and cumulated values are provided
   for those accounts by report S_PL0_86000028 (and other GL reports)!!
2) All accounts which are not assigned within the FSV at all are
   considered as balance sheet accounts and cumulated values are
   provided by GL drilldown reports.
3) All accounts which are assigned OUT of "Assets" and "Liab+Equity"
   nodes within particular FSV are taken as Profit and Loss acounts and
   period values are provided for them in the GL drilldown reports
The original settings (which you can see under T-cd: FS00) has no
influence on it when using the FI-GL drilldown reports.
Please take into account the note 1154817 and the documentation
to OB58 and RFBILA00 how should define the correct FSV structure.
That is the design and usage of the hierarchy of the Financial Statement
Version and key figure.

sounds like you want to use htmldb_item.popupkey_from_query as opposed to htmldb_item.popup_from_query....

Hi, I have a Crystal Report on Visual Studio 2010. I'm connecting using Ado.Net. I have a report with two columns in the "detail" section. Each column contains currency values. In the footer I have the summary for each of the two columns. The problem is: when one of the columns does not have any values, the summary does not get counted. What do I need to do, so that when there is no value in the column, it assumes that it is zero?

hi Aron,
if you create a new formula referencing the field, and then add a 'null' check to the formula, then this will work.
e.g.
if isnull({your_table.your_field}) then 0
else {your_table.your_field}
now add this new formula to your report canvas and insert the summary based on the new formula.

Sort not Displaying 0 Value

Hi,
I have applied a condition for Sorting in ascending order as Top % and 100 for the selected Key Figure.
However, the report does not display Zero values for the key Figure after sorting.
How can i take care of this limitation?

if u r using condition for ascending then ur zeroes should come in that range , if it not then u have to increase your value limit . But this will depend on your requirement ..

ADF swing: JTabbedPane does not display column names.

Hi all,
I have created an ADF Panel, which allows the user to run a few simple queries against an Oracle database done using ADF view objects and ADF view links and ADF application module.
From the data control area I drag and drop a view link containing a query into a JTabbedPane. But when I run the ADF panel, JTabbedPane does not display the column headers from the SQL as opposed to JScrollPane which does.
Suppose you do a select * from departments(dep_id, manager, state_cd), you will see all column headers meaning dep_id, manager, state_cd, and under each column the corresponding data which was retuned by the SQL if you use JScrollPane. But if you use you use JTabbedPane then you would only see the data which was retuned by the SQL without seeing the column header names meaning dep_id, manager, state_cd.
What do I need to do to make JTabbedPane display columns headers?
I would appreciate your input.

JScrollPane should be used. You can add this into a JTabbedPane if you like. Not all Swing panel show table headers

Form does not display all records from table

Hi guys
I modified one form that was based on a signle DB table. I removed certain fields from the table and added some extra fields to that table. Then based on the new table I also modified the form and removed the text items related to old fields in the table and added new text items pointing to the new fields now. II have checked all the new items properties and they have don't seem to be wrong or so. But now the problem is the form does not display all the records from the table. before it used to display all records from the table when qureied but not now. It only certain records from the table containing all new data and also old data but the form does not display other records though I don't see any obvious discrepancy. Remember that the before doing the modifications, I have table back for the old, created another table that contained new records for the new fields, and then I inserted the old records and updated the new table data in the new table with these new table values. So this way I have got my new table. Could someone help why the new modified form fails to display all records from the new table updated table though it display some of them successfully.
Any help will be appreciated.

As you know this error has been discussed in other threads.. the difference in mine is that not only the time series measures but all the columns are giving me the error...none of the columns are being displayed... The rpd has no consistency errors. can anyone suggest what may be going on?

I guess you have the column in RPD, and it is available for queries.
are you using any time measures? if so check you chronological keys.

CM14 BI Publisher - modifying an existing Data Model, the Graphic View in Query Builder does not display

I am trying to edit the default forms/reports that come with CM14, trying to edit the data model, data set, (to get to the old Infomaker style graphic view) , the Query model does not display (error the list of tables is too long..) Oracle tell me the limit is 60, there are not 60 tables referenced in any CM report.
Does this Query builder view work at all on any report?
(bigger question, we are moving from CM12, should we move to CM13 which works with infomaker?)

Kurt, thanks for your replies.
A couple of notes/clarifications.
1. You are correct that BI works better in Firefox--I have observed issues with the BI display when using IE. I would recommend using Firefox too.
2. You are correct about the way to get to the Query Builder to see a graphical view of data tables. There are basically two issues with this that I mentioned, but will re-iterate:
a. If you have an EXISTING query in the data set, then click the "Query Builder" button, this will remove the existing query that's there, it will NOT display the existing query in the query builder. Query Builder works only to create a NEW query from scratch.
b. Query builder is limited to selecting 60 fields max in your query. If you are creating a large report with many tables, you may find that 60 fields is not enough. For that you will have to work in the SQL edit screen rather than using the query builder.
I would impress on anyone developing CM14 reports that they become familiar with the database schema and relationships to avoid problems when developing your BI reports. You should be able to find the tables and joins documentation in the knowledgebase.
