Mandatory assignment of Project with Transport Request

Hi All,
I have to create project PRJ1 in Solman and configure it with DEV system client 400. So all the requests created in DEV 400 must be assigned to PRJ1 also the condition is users must be able to create request only in 400.
There is also one client 410 in DEV where the consultant should do only testing (not customization) with sample data and all request shloud move from 400 to 410 by SCC1. And all the requests in 400 must get create only if assigned to project PRJ1.
In this task, I created project in Solman and also maintained the DEV 400 in system landscape and IMG of DEV project in third tab of system landscape.
But still my users are able to create request in 400 without project assignment. I also locked client 410 in SCC4, but some smart persons are opening client 410 and sometime creating request in it.
Please suggest me how to make it mandatory in DEV 400 to make mandatory of project assignment while creating request, and how to block 410 to produce request apart from SCC4 control.

to make the project assignment mandatory, make the following customizing in DEV - 400:
1. transaction SE03 --> Display/Change Request Attributes
2.Modify SAP_CTS_PROJECT attribute uing client specific checkbox (very important otherwise you will be blocked... to prevent transport request creation in other clients use SCC4 settings)

Use the table E071K
in se16 give :
request number in TRKORR
Table name in OBJNAME
in the filed TABKEY u will get the values of the key fields in the table
by comparing the key fields u can find out the enrties related to the request number

You need to do below:-
(1) Deactivate the tax line in test system
(2) Then create a transport request via Export feature in FTXP
(3) Open your target system and then import the transport request via import feature in FTXP.
Then the tax code will get deactivated line in target system also.

Manual assignment of object into Transport request

Hi Experts,
Very recently I saw in my developement system that one object ( ABAP Report ) has been assigned directly to the Transport request number not into the task number . I have also checked that the object is not locked into TR which should be normally locked.
My Question is that how it is possible and is their any advantage / disadvantage to follow this type of way ?
Also if another user wants to change the same report , then will another new TR be generated or new task of same TR be generated ?

Ideally the objects should get included in a TR when we change/create a object assigned to a package.But while manually adding an object to a TR one needs to be sure about the PROGRAM ID and OBJECT TYPE of that object and the rest of the subobjects related to it.If we manually add an object in a TR there is a chance that the related subobjects will not get transported.
So.the best way is only to get the objects added to the TR automatically while creating the TR.But,sometimes it will be helpful if we know the mechanism of adding the objects in the TR manually.Sometimes

Want to crate a bc set with transport request,which has deleted records

I need a help in BC sets regarding records deletion.
I want to create a BC sets with the transport, which has one deleted records from the table
I have 30 records in table. I have deleted one record and created transport for the same.
When I try to create BC sets with the above transport. It is not showing records, which is in Transport request.
Could you please help me on this How can we create BC sets with deleted records.

Issues with transport request

Hi,
I have this situation:
There is a table. And multiple changes have been made in the development system (under multiple transport requests). Now what I want to do is, create just one transport request(to be transported to production) which will club all these changes.
How can I do this? Are there any specific issues that I need to take care of?

Hi one simple way u can do it
In SE01 first u release all the TO that u have created for that table
Now u goto changemode for the table in SE11
then click on save, it will ask another req number
u create new one and save
and transport this TO number to production.
that will work

Hi,
If this transport request is created by you or u know the respective user then go to the tcode SE09 and enter the user name and click on display you will get the list.then go on expanding u will get the program name.

Percentage Overhead Rates are not capture with Transport request

I have defined Percentage Overheads rate in KZZ2 and assigned the same into Costing Sheet.But while saving the transport reqest in to QAS client,It is throwing the below error.Kindly help me in solving this issue.

For technical reasons, the entries cannot be fully specified in the change request. There are two possible reasons for this:
1. The key of an entry is longer than 120 characters. All entries whose keys match up to character 119, are then copied into the change request, rather than an individual entry.
2. The key of an entry contains fields of special data types, for example, packed numbers. The key can only be specified in the change request up to the first such field from the left.
all entries whose keys match up to character 238 are copied into the change request, rather than a single entry.
System response
The selected entry is copied into the change request correctly, but other entries may be copied as well.

Can you give the elaborative steps of how you resolved your issue.
The steps mention as under i tried but it is not working
1) Go to SA38 or SE38
2) Run the program RKAZUTR1
3) You need to specify the number of your request with the costing sheet changes

Run the program RSTXTRAN.There u write Text key-object,Text key-name,Text key ID n Text key-language.
Run the program.Then press enter.Press transport button then it will ask u for transport request no u can either attached the sapscript to tht number or create a a new one.

Assignment of Project while creating TP

Hi All,
We have activated ChaRMLite in our project and all the systems in landscape.
I have a scenario.
We want few transports to be created outside chramlite for one system landscape (BI landscape), but we want to restrict users creating TP request without assignment of project. i.e is there any authorization or method by which we can make project filed mandatory while creating transport request from source system?
I have learnt about the possibilities of it, but not sure how can I proceed. Any help appreciated.

Then you will find the list of systems you manage with ChaRM, you can enable the mandatory assignment of projects there.
In the second scenario where you need to do it for systems outside of ChaRM (i.e. not connected to ChaRM, plz consider the following steps)
1. transaction SE03 --> Display/Change Request Attributes (last option under Administration Drop down menu). Then Goto Change Mode and then,
2.Modify the attribute SAP_CTS_PROJECT using client specific checkbox

Change Request Management - Transport Request reimport

I have read in a forum on SDN about the following behaviour of Change Request Management in case of a Maintenance Project: after completing import to production environment through Normal correction, when the same maintenance cycle
is used again, ChaRM reimports all the TP's imported in the previous run.
In case of an Implementation Project with Normal correction I guess that this can not happen for an import to Production environment, because it's not possible to use again the same cycle, is it right?
But if we consider the import to Test environment: for example, during a Project cycle, transport request TR1 is imported to Test environment, then cycle status is set again
to "In development" and a new transport request TR2 is created. Is TR1 re-imported, when TR2 is imported to Test?

Whenyou import a normal correction as per the recommedations from SAP they are asking to de select keep for further imports options,so that when we import other request it will not import the older request.

Hi Anand,
There are 2 ways for transporting LSMW data from a system to another.
1) Export/import this method gives you the opportunity to select the subprojects or objects you want to transfer. Hence you don't transfer the object a colleague might have created and that should stay in development system. LSMW -> Extras -> Export project
2)Transport request with this method, you can transport a LSMW project in full (you cannot select the objects you want). With this method, the project will be transported as any other SAP object in a transport order.
LSMW -> Extras -> Create change request

Transport request main task releasing problem

Environment is Linux, ECC5.0, Two system landscape,
I have problem with Transport Request task releasing when I am going to release the subtask that willbe released success fully when I am trying to releasing the main task that task is not released and at that time the system wil hang( mesg on the status bar is tp is connected success fully) thats it we wait for long time then also that looks thats only no log will be generating in usr/sap/trans/log there will be a log on this one that log is
WARNING:/usr/sap/trans/tmp/<username.LOS>is already in use (10), I'm waiting 3 sec(20070326124305). My name:pid 7265 on test(sd1adm)
after saw the this mesg I kill the 7265 pid then also same proablem.
I change the ownet of the request then the request is released but not uppeard in the import que. whn i am trying to import in que as manually that will appear in que but not importing when i press the import button the error is tp error 0203.
I check the both users authorizations also bothe authorizations also same then why it wil happening ???
then I check the nfc also that service also running ok the six services are 1.off 2.off 3.on 4. on 5.on 6.off.
I mount the trans dir also the mounting points also ok tms configuration is also ok
wt can i do plz help me with ur valuable suggessions

Hello Ranjith,
This is usually because the tp transport buffer lock file remains locked by the
operating system (OS).
You should be able to move or delete this file from the DIR_TRANS/tmp dir.
After that the tp should run fine after.
