Manual Purchase Requisitions.

Dear Gurus,
1.How does my production department raise a manual purchase requisition to the purchase department for some production consumables that they need.
2. If I need a particular chemical to be purchased for production consumables and I have a material code for this and If i have to add more detailed specification to this chemical in terms of what grade I need, How do I specify this in purchase requisition.
Regards
Sri.

Dear,
T. Codes: Create - ME51N
Change - ME52N
If you are comfortable with the material master data, vendor master data , organization structure (Purchase org, plant etc) , then it is easy to create purchase requisition , purchase order etc.
Apart from Vendor,Material you have to enter Quantity,Plant,Pirce etc.You start creating PR with T code ME51N , then system will guide you to enter one by one data.
So first understand the concept of Master data then procurement Process.Once you know these, you don't need any assistance .

  • Material Rounding Value in Manual Purchase Requisition

    Hi Gurus,
Can I get complete explanation on Material Rounding Value which is maintained in Material Master MRP1 view?
When Automatic PR is created this value is taken into account for example I set the Rounding value to 20, if the automatic PR need 15 then it will be rounded to 20, but if I create manual PR, I type in the qty 5 then it will still be five but when converted to Purchase Order then the qty in Purchase Order is set to 20.
Can some one please give me some explanation?

  • Creating Purchase Requisitions from within PS (ie from network)

When creating purchase requisitions from within Projects Systems (ie activating them from a network) is there a "standard" way to put a cost center on the Purchase Requisition?  Currently no cost center is put on the account assignment.  We are looking at doing a custom field on the network header to hold the cost center and then a user exit to take this cost center and put it on the purchase requisition (and reservations) but before we go to all this trouble thought maybe I should check to see if I am missing something obvious?  Is there a more straight-forward way to accomplish this?  We know that we cannot edit the account assignment in ME52N becuase the PR originates from the network and therefore can only be changed from the network.
    Any input welcome.  Thanks.

    Dear Laura,
When you will create Purchase Requistion through Network, system automatically takes account assignment category as "N" i.e Network. This you can not change in ME52N transaction.
So this is a standard practise for generating Purchase Requistion through Network in PS Module.
As you said putting Cost Center in Network Header as a Account Assignment Category which will go up to PO creation by using some User Exit which will not be possible in PS Module as per my knowledge is concern.
But you want to keep Cost Center as as a Account Assignement Category you need to create manual Purchase Requisition through ME51N transaction.
Hoping this will be useful to you.

  • Planned order to purchase requisition - Manual / MRP---How do we confirm

    Hi,
I have a planned order which is converted into purchase requisition (PR). I want to know the following.
I know only PR number now.
    a) How do I know the reference planned order from Purchase requisition number? (In PR, creation indicator shows as U-Converted planned order)
    b) How do I confirm whether this planned order is created manually or by MRP?
Please help me in finding out the above.
    Thanks in advance
    Muthu

    Hi,
    a) When you convert the PldOrd into PurReq it disappears from table PLAF, it ceases to exist. There will be no PldOrd-reference in PurReq (you will not find such field in EBAN). (if you check field RSNUM in PLAF before converting the PldOrd and you check field RSNUM in EBAN after converting the PldOrd into PurReq, you wlll find the same number)
    b) It's not easy to say. You can check PLAF-PSTMP and PLAF-PUSER and compare these with data you get from trx STAD. But this is also not an exact methode since these field are in connection with the last date of change.
Firming indicator cannot help also since you can remove it manually... - even though the PldOrd was changed manually, no firming indicator will be seen...
(Of course, generally firming indicator helps if the user doesn't remove it intenionally)

  • Purchase Order and Purchase Requisition

    Hi To All,
my customer while using tcode me2m hase extracted purchase order opened since 2007. now he want to close all this order and settle them to zero. this operation should be done also for the purchase requisition.
there is a standard way to do this? if not any idea?
    thanks
    C.

    Hello
    Just by doing
In the PO line item level details, activate DELIVERY COMPLETED check box.
system will not close po from GR
U will have to check what is the gr qty did till date
and update the po with the same qty manually
    eq
if po qty is 50 and total gr done till date is 40
change the PO qty to 40 and save
this is the way u can shot close the po
Which effects has the "delivery completed" indicator?
The purchase order item is considered closed, even though the total quantity may not have been delivered.
Although a further delivery is not expected, it is still possible.
At the time of the next goods receipt, the system suggests the item as unselected.
The purchase order item can be deleted, even if the total quantity was not delivered.
Although the "delivery completed" indicator is not set, a purchase order item is still considered closed if the full quantity has been delivered. In this case, the "delivery completed indicator" is not required.
The system allows to make further goods receipts. Why?

  • How to change an Existing  Purchase Requisition Document in MM.

    Hi Folks,
I want to write a program to change a existing  Purchase Requisition in MM.
I found two BAPI's BAPI_PR_CHANGE and BAPI_REQUISITION_CHANGE , which could be used to change PR document in  ECC.
    I have following question:
    1) why we have two seprate BAPI's for changing PR.
    2) Do we need to use both BAPI's to change PR, depending on what value we are trying to change.
    3) Is it optional to use any of these two BAPI's
Or do we have any other way to implement this PR change process.( Bcoz of when i tried to debug standard PR change process, none of these two BAPI's has been called)
Which FM or method is called when, we try to change and save PR document manually.
I would appriciate, if some one has any sample code to implement this PR change process.

BAPI_REQUISITION_CHANGE is the older BAPI, the one based on the older ERP transaction (ME5x family), while BAPI_PR_CHANGE is the newest one, referring to the "recent" Enjoy transaction (ME5xN family).
They both satisfy you task probably, but if you can chose, I'd go for BAPI_PR_CHANGE.

You can use the first or the second one, it's indifferent. The newest one will also trigger user exits from ME5xN family. Which transactions are used by the users on the ERP? Choose with regards to the transactions used during the normal activity.

Normal PR change operativity doesn't use BAPI. BAPIs are used to create/modify docs from "external" systems (it's not properly true, but let assume it), they provide a simple interface to populate with PR data and the process of creation/modification will trigger every check/userexit already defined for the standard transactions on the ERP.
In example, suppose that in ME51N you defined a custom check in a specific userexit which don't allow an user to create a material item which have odd quantity (odd example, I know ). Then using BAPI_PR_CREATE you will not be able to create a PR with items with odd quantity, because the same check will be executed.

  • Close  open purchase requisitions

    Dear All,
We have a scenario like this:
We have created a purchase requisition of 100 quantity and converted it to purchase order of say 90 qty only.
Now 10 qty is still open in PR.
I want to close this PR.
There are many such open PRs which needs to be closed.
Kindly suggest how to proceed with this.
    Regards,

You could use a LSMW to manually check the item closed box on the PR line item.  To prevent this from happening in the future and if the process is to disregard any open PR quantities in a situation like yours, the SAP help says this:
    o   Set this indicator manually
        -   In change mode for a purchase requisition on the item detail
            screen
        -   When you create a purchase order with reference to a purchase
            requisition
o   Have the system set the indicator when automatically creating
        purchase orders from purchase requisitions
You can use the indicator Set reqs to "closed" to specify that the
purchase requisition is considered closed once the associated
purchase order has been created, even if the complete requisition
        quantity has not been ordered.
    Hope this helps

  • Sales order item text to purchase requisition

    Hello Team,
we have scenario in which we create the sales order and while creating the sales order we put the production memo text at the item level under text tab in it.
We have define copying rules for the production memo text under PR customizing text types to get it copied from the sales order. But when we are creating the PR for the sales order then the production memo text is not flowing into the purchase requisition.
I checked some OSS notes and found recently released note 448814 which says that text does not gets copied to PR when PR is created manually from the sales order ( question no 24 and 25 in the note ) due to technical reasons and it gets copied only when the PR gets created directly from the sales order.
Could you please help me to know if this is standard problem or some other settings exists and if anyone have other solution to it. ?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Deepak Gupta

    Hi Jurgen,
Thanks for the reply. I was expecting to know if others have came across similar kind of issue and after following up with SAP, if they have provided some other solution.
    Thanks

  • Purchase Requisition Transfers from SCM 5.0 APO to R/3

I am working on SCM 5.0 -- transferring Purchase Requisitions from APO to R/3 from SNP heurristic run. I am wondering if there is any documented procedure of available options and the steps involved in setting up.
Can you transfer only certain Purchase Requisitions instead of ALL?
Can you setup approval workflow to allow the transfer of only approved PRs ?
What steps involved to get PRs from the SNP Heuristic?
I found the IMG Activity (SAP SCM – Implementation Guide  Advanced Planning and Optimization  Supply Chain Planning  Supply Network Planning (SNP)  Basic Settings  Configure Transfer to OLTP system).
I shall greatly apprecaite if some one answers the questions and points me to some 'How to Guide or the steps involved in setting up'.
    Thanks

    Devendra,
You actually need the SCM-APO-CIF  (Core Interface) Training for this. A Pre-requisite to that is the APO Overview.  Have you undergone it ?
In Short i will tell you the answers you want ...  I hope you will reward me with Points if you feel it was helpful.
To Transfer PRs from APO to R3 following setup is needed ..
    - Do Configuration of  STO (Stock Transfer) in R3.  Ensure Stock Transfer PRs and STOs between the 2 Plants can be created Manually in R3.  This will require you to do a Lot of MM & SD Configuration on IntraCompany STOs.
A Key Part for APO is to set the STO Order Types for the
Source and Destination Plant,  Assign Vendor to the Shipping Plant,  Customer to the Destination Plant .. etc. A Test of correct setup is your ability to create a PR and STO manually in R3 first before you do APO.
    - Setup of all APO Locations (Plants in SAP-R3), Products (Materials in SAP-R3).  These are done via the Location and Product Integration Models.  Make sure you have defined the Timezone in the Plant and set the Plant in SAP as DC or Production Plant (Refer CIF Training).
    -  Setup of  Transport Lanes in APO (done manually in APO).
    You define Transport Durations here.
    -  You have to have the Purchase Requisition Integration Model Active for those Product Locations.  To do the Integration Model all CIF Configuration including the one IMG you have described in your Question is to be done. Assuming that the Products are set to 'X0' MRP Type in R3 ... so they are set to Planning in APO.
    -  For Setup in "Configure Transfer to OLTP" it is best to select 'Periodic Transfer' so you can actually control the Product-Locations and Date Range of PRs APO has created.  The Planning Runs create 'Change Pointers' to send the PRs to R3.
    - Define in APO that you will be sending Purchase Requisitions at your Destination Location to R3.  You use 'Publish Change Pointers' - /sapapo/cp1 to do this.
    - The Change Pointers are created after APO Planning run which can be sent to R3 using /sapapo/c5.  You should send them periodically after you're satisfied with the planning results or in Night Batch runs after your Planning run.
    -  To Control some type of PRs you will have to use User Exits in APO for CIF that send External Procurement / PRs from APO to R3.  This is not Standard.  But I am not sure why you will  have different types of PRs for Stock Transfer between 2 Plants.  There is no need.  You can control PRs between 2 Locations to not go to R3, via the selection of locations in /sapapo/c5.
    Hope you find this usefull.

  • Purchase requisition through MRP

    Dear All,
When we create requisitions from MRP, it shows the requisition is created by the description of the MRP controller and not the user ID, as would normally be expected in manually created requisitions (Tab-Item Level-Contact Person). The question is u2013 for MRP created reqs, is there a way to influence this and have those reqs show the user ID as well, just as the normal manually created requisitions? Right now description of MRP controller is displayed for Purchase requision created through MRP
    Your reply would be appreciated!!!!
    Thanks!!!!!
    Warm Regards!
    Sneha

    Hi Sneha,
As such when we trigger the MRP the purchase requsition created  will showing as status created by as per the MRP controller that you mentioned in MMR..
But i don't thing that such config is there were we can get the user specific  status while triggering MRP .

  • Purchase requisition with reference to blocked sales order

    Hello,
we are creating purchase requisitions (PR) manually with reference to a sales order (account assignment Z). When this sales order is blocked, we still can issue the purchase requistion.
What can we do to avoid this? I think in 2 solutions:
    - use enhancement MEREQ001 to show error message when SO is blocked, so PR is not created. Is this possible?
    - create a release strategy for PR created in that plant (tr. OME6). The problem is that release strategy refers to an amount in the PO, and not to other factor, like SO blocked. Maybe in the former enhancement we can set the field EBAN-GSFRG to 'X'?
    Thanks for your help.

Many thanks for your answer. It help me to solve the issue.
So applying note 738171, with transaction OVB5 (or VOFM, requirements->subsequent functions->Purch.requisitions) we create one new requirement, ie RV07A900, and then we apply the rule that if we have delivery or billing block, that is, VBAK-LIFSK or VBAK-FAKSK not empty, then we set an error with a code similar to this:
                da_sy-msgid = 'Z1'.    (message class)
                da_sy-msgno = '001'.  (message number)
                error_exception = true.
and then the PR is not created.
    Regards.

  • How to Change delivery date of Purchase Requisition created from PM  module

    Hi all,
We are creating service PR from PM module. There is a need that user should be able to change the
Delivery Date of the PR. When we use ME52N , the field is grayed out.
If the PR is created with same data manually with ME51N, we are able to change the delivery date.
Please suggest how to do this.
    Thanks

I´m sorry, but my english, is not better.
Why in the Scheduling for External Procurement, the Purchase Requisition take (or picks up) as Delivery date, the Basic End Date of the Maintenance Order (PM).
What must I do in the customizing so that the Purchase Requisition takes (or picks up) the delivery date as the Basic End Date of the Maintenance Order.

  • Purchase requisition creation (STO) from Sales order

    Hi Gurus,
    Read the following scenario:
Sales order is created with delivery plant A. No stock on plant A.
Purchase requisition is created from plant B to plant A (intra-company flow or stock transfer order).
Problem is that the purchase requisition needs a price. It is not logical because intra-company flow (stock transfer in same company flow) is like a stock transfer without purchasing. So in my mind, I don't have to maintain price.
Also if I use ME27 to create manually STO between both plants, price is not asked.
Other question is: is it possible to create directly a purchase order when sales order creation (and not purchase requisition, newt convert into PO)?
    Many thanks.
    Stéphane

Hi Stéphane Vituret, Did you manage to find a solution for this. I have a similar problem as well.
    Please find the scenario below.
Cusotmer places order of Mat-XX to Company A. The Company A creates PO to Company B. Company B delivers to Company A and then invoices Company A. Company A receives the goods into own stocks. Now the Company A delivers to the customer from its own stocks and then invoices Customer.
    I decide to go ahead with the Individual Purchase order solution and since the Company A is buying from Comapny B, I decided to integrate the Cross Company STO flow in the procurement part. Hence the flow in SAP is like;
Cusotmer placese order to Company A
Comapny A creates a Individual Purchase order type Sales order. So the Item category is TAB.
This sales order generates a PR. PR is conveted into a CC_STO as thenvendor is Plant B in this case . Now this STO appears in the delivery due list of plant B.
Now I genreate the delivery to move stocks from plant B(of co.cd B) to Plant A(of co.cd A).
Here is the problem. I am not able to do PGI as the system checks for "sales order" stock at plant B and throws error
"Sales order stock 36637 000010 does not exist". This should not be the case as the stocks should get attached to the sales order only when recieved into Plant A. Hence system should not check for "sales order stock" at plantB while trying to deliver from Plant B to Plant A.
Lets take a normal IPO scenario.
CusotmerA places order of Mat-A to Company A. This sales order generates a PR. The Company A converts the PR into a std.PO to external vendor. The PO from the sales order will have a account assignment "M- Ind. cust. w/o KD-CO". The stocks will be received into Plant with spl indicator "E" while GR (MIGO). Now the system ensures that this stock can only be delivered against the particular sales order. Thus the stock procured for the customerA is delivered to customerA and not consumed by anybody else. In this case there is only one delivery involved, in SAP, which is 601 mvmt type from the Plant A.
However if the vendor becomes another Plant (Plant B) belonging to another company code then there are two deliveries involved in the SAP system one with mvmt type 643, from Plant B to Pant A, and the second with 601 from Plant A to the customer. Hence the system should check if the stocks are attached with a spl indicator only during the second delivery of 601 mvmt type. I am facing a problem because the system does it for the first delivery itself. If you know the answer please do let me know. I really appreciate it. Thanks a lot in advance.

  • MRP is not generating purchase requisitions consistently for MRP type VB

Issue: When executing consumption based MRP in ECC 6.0 using the following parameters; purchase requisitions are not created for all material with stocks below max stock levels. In other words  requisitions are  created incase of some materials and requisitions are not created for others.
u2022     MRP type VB ( manual reorder point) with reorder point qty
u2022     Lot size HB with Max stock level
u2022     Procurement type F (external procurement).
Additional info: Some of these materials are batch managed and results are inconsistence whether it is batch managed or not.
    Regards
    Sai

I checked that and planning file entry is created.
Example 1: MRP is not working.
    MRP type = VB
    Lot size =HB
    Procurement type= F
    Material # = 1200045
    Reorder point =30
    Max stock level = 300
    Available qty = 139
No PRs are existing before MRP.
MRP is expected to create PR  for qty 161 (300-139= 161)
Example 2 : MRP is working.
    MRP type = VB
    Lot size =HB
    Procurement type= F
    Material # = 1200052
    Reorder point =100
    Max stock level = 1000
    Available qty = 87
MRP created PR qty of 913 and results are as expected.
MRP is expected to create PR  for qty 161 (1000-87= 913
NOTE: I am directly creating Purchase requisitions by selecting creation Purchase Requisitions Indicator =1  during MD01/MD02 trxs . Not creating any planned orders.
