Manually adding an attachment to FND tables

I know that there have been a few posts that outline how to handle adding an attachment to FND tables but I have an additional question.
I have an trigger on each of the following four tables that captures all data when uploading an attachment when creating/viewing a service request (short & long text as well):
FND_LOBS
FND_DOCUMENTS
FND_DOCUMENTS_TL
FND_ATTACHED_DOCUMENTS
I need to move the captured data into a different database and I'm wondering if it's possible to not use any Oracle APIs when inserting and updating data to the other database.

Its possible with the exception that it will be unsupported (your triggers are unsupported anyway).

I created a shell script in which i ran some sql queries which are using FND tables. I registered this shell script as a concurrent program. My doubt is, how can i set to a particular org_id so that it can run for that org_id and display the data accordingly.

Thanks for responding. Actually, I am trying to take the request ID from the fnd_concurrent_requests table and catch its output file and use it in a shell script to print the output of that request.
There is a concurrent program which is run successfully , but it is not printed on to the printer. So, what we manually do is take that request ID for that date and and print it using linux lp command.
All this process is done manually, so i tried to automate this process.
i wrote a shell script in which i connect to the database and run this query:
select outfile_name from fnd_conc_requests_form_v where program_name = '.........' and request_date=to_date('${5}','DD-MON-YYYY');
using this i get the outfile_name which i use it in lp -d printername outfile_name
now i want to use the same shell script which is registered as a concurrent program which i want to use it both fo US and CANADA. So i want to catch ORG_ID in the query so that particular data for that ORG_ID is bought in to the result.
while writing a shell script and calling sql plsu inside the script, can we use fnd_global.resp_id in the query.
like ..
where
fnd_conc_requests.responsibility_id = fnd_global.resp_id

Delete rows from fnd tables

hai folks,
right know in my fnd_concurrent_request table nealry 2 lakhs rows are there(clon instance)
can i delete these rows manually.is it recommended?
tell me how can i clen up fnd tables.

To run the Purge Concurrent Request and/or Manager Data program:
1. Log in to Application as System Administrator responsibility.
2. Navigate to Request> Run> Single Request
3. Query up Purge Concurrent Requests.
4. Enter 3 for age parameter so that it keeps only 3 days data in the tables and 3 days output/log files in the file system.
The following tables will be purged:
FND_CONCURRENT_REQUESTS
This table contains a complete history of all concurrent requests.
FND_RUN_REQUESTS
When a user submits a report set, this table stores information about the
reports in the report set and the parameter values for each report.
FND_CONC_REQUEST_ARGUMENTS
This table records arguments passed by the concurrent manager to each program
it starts running.
FND_DUAL
This table records when requests do not update database tables.
FND_CONCURRENT_PROCESSES
This table records information about Oracle Applications and operating system
processes.
FND_CONC_STAT_LIST
This table collects runtime performance statistics for concurrent requests.
FND_CONC_STAT_SUMMARY
This table contains the concurrent program performance statistics generated by
the Purge Concurrent Request and/or Manager Data program. The Purge Concurrent
Request and/or Manager Data program uses the data in FND_CONC_STAT_LIST to
compute these statistics.
FND_CONC_PP_ACTIONS
Stores the post request processing actions(e.g., print, notify) for each
submitted request. There's a concurrent_request_id here for each request_id
in the FND_CONCURRENT_REQUESTS.
FND_RUN_REQ_PP_ACTIONS

I manually added two rows in error. How do i delete them?

Help, I manually added two rows, but cannot find out how to delete them without deleting all the responses!

You can delete a single, or multiple rows in the Response Table by clicking on the row (or selecting multiple rows by clicking on the first row and then Shift+Click on the last row you want to select) and either using the right click context menu item "Delete Row/s" or clicking the arrow that appears when you mouse over the left side of the row/s and selecting "Delete Row/s" from the menu:

Manually added Values in the info-object

Hi there,
I have manually added 1 value in the info-object.
But if I view in the P table I am not able to find it.
But I am able to find this value in the SID table.
When I do my dropdown in the query selection screen, it does not show me this value what I manually created and when I just enter this value it gives me error as invalid value.
Please advise.

Replying to an email while adding an attachment? ***?

Maybe I am being obtuse, but when I try to reply to an email and want to include an attachement with my reply, why is there no option to do this? This seems like a farily BASIC funtion of any email program. I hope I am missing something, because if the iPhone can't do something as basic as this... Man, its got serious problems.
I'm already annoyed that it doesn't allow you to save attachments onto the phone itself in a file tree, but to not be able to reply to someone's e-mail with a saved attachment (whether it be a pic, doc, pdf, etc...)
(Example: "Hey what was the name of that restaurant we were at tonight? Also, can you send me that pic we took at the table?")
As of now, I have to find that picture, tell it I want to compose a NEW email, then answer the question in the body of the email. Why couldn't you just "reply" attach the photo in question, and answer the email like you would any other email (that didn't require an attachment?)
This seems extremely short-sighted on Apple's part.. I mean, come on -- even a Blackberry has these basic functions.
Am I wrong, or are they missing something really basic here?

Thanks for the workaround... Not ecxactly the most efficient way to do something as basic as reply and adding an attachment, but it does work.
For the life of me, I don't understand why you can't save items to a personal folder on the hard drive, which you can then access whenever you need to. I think Apple makes thing WAY more complicated then they need to be.

Why do manually added mp3s in the Podcasts app all show up in the same folder?

Let me explain!
I like to download lectures and talks and audio books from other sources than iTunes.
I like to add these mp3 files to iTunes, change the Media type of them from Music to Podcast, and transfer them to my iPod Touch. This is so I will more easily know which ones have been listened to and can be removed.
This worked (and works) well in the Music app. Everything was separated into folders based on what album name I had manually assigned to the ID3 tags of the files.
But in the Podcast app, all of these files are now lumped into one folder.
I currently have eight un-listened-to episodes of Philip K. Dick's Valis on my iPod Touch. But the folder shows a count of 106 unheard episodes in relation to this audio book, because it lumps all of my other manually added podcast media tracks into the same folder.
Why is this?
Why does the Podcasts app refuse to let me separate manually added files into individual folders based on album information?
Had the My Stations feature let me populate its playlists in a more rational manner, and also allowed me to manually change the running order of the tracks (something which only seems to be possible in the On-The-Go playlist), I would not think that this omission was such an annoyance.
I have been searching for months for mentions of this problem, but I have not seen a single one, and so I have finally decided to make my own thread.
Let me know if the nature of my problem remains unclear.

That doesn't do anything.
When I plug my phone in and attempt to sync it with iTunes and click on "Steven's iPhone" under "Devices" the display to the right just says "loading..." and it stays like that for hours. Nothing happens.
As far as I can tell, there is literally no way for me to delete the photos from my iPhone and I therefore, cannot upgrade to the newest software, download new apps, etc.

I got an iPhone 5 today and the apps I had backed up on cloud will open for a second then close. I have shut down and restarted, added another app to sign in to itunes and then manually added each app but it hasn't worked yet. Help!

I got an iphone 5 today and tried to sync to the cloud with the apps from my iphone 4. Syncing happended but I cannot open an app on my new iphone 5 for more than second then it closes. I have restarted the phone, added a new app that required my itunes password and manually added each app. None helped. Can you help me?

Adding Sum Totals from Multiple Tables in A single Document

Hello All,
I'm having trouble adding sum totals from multiple tables I've created in a Pages 09 doc. I putting together a spreadsheet for cost projections for a house remodel. I created tables for each room of the house. At the bottom of the document I'd like to have another table that takes the totals from each individual room and adds them up. Problem appears to be that each table has the same x/y axis labels so row and column numbers/letters are repeated so the final table can't quantify thing correctly.
Any easy solutions? I can't find anything that's helped in my search efforts.

Thanks for the feedback. I thought that might be the case. And you were correct to assume I was more comfortable in Pages. I'm halfway through converting everything to numbers. In the end it will work great too. Just some different formatting/design choices to be made as numbers doesn't appear to be as versatile in the same way pages is with design. So far it looks pretty good though.

Creating a manual tabular form on an empty table

The problem is that, since there is no data in the table, when I run the page, I cant get the form to be rendered, and I get a nice "no data found". There should be a way to get the form rendered, hence making it available for data input.

Way to get Podcasts app to take manually added podcasts without syncing?

Hi guys,
I listen to a lot of podcasts and I've been having all sorts of problems using the Podcasts app, it's a bit of a mess.
I don't want to even try to continue having it automatically sync with my library, this seems to create problems. I put some episodes on there, they seem to be there one day then the next day they're in the list but suddenly need to be streamed even though I added them and have not told the app to delete them.
Other times, even though I only added, say, 10 out of 100 podcasts for one show, I go into the list and all 100 show up with the little cloud symbol next to the 90 I didn't want. Then I have to go scrolling through to pick out the ones I actually intended to listen to. Is there somewhere to turn off showing un-downloaded episodes?
Wanting to re-listen to old episodes is a nightmare. I add them, they disappear everytime I sync the phone overall, even though I repeatedly uncheck 'sync podcasts'. Also, if I uncheck 'sync podcasts' after adding some and then sync - it clears every podcast off the phone, as if that's what I wanted.
Even after I uncheck 'sync podcasts', manually adding podcasts automatically causes podcast syncing to turn on. Why would Apple assume that's what I want if I'm manually adding podcasts. Why can't I just manually add the ones I want? That seems to be the only possible solution to all the syncing nightmares above and yet iTunes/the app won't allow it to happen.
Am I doing something horribly wrong or is this just a terrible app? I have looked into alternatives but none of them will sync with my itunes library. And don't even get me started on how iTunes itself handles podcasts now!

My iPod is a 3d gen nano so doesn't have independent downloading capabilities.

I have an iPod touch that I bought recently, and have updated everything to the iOS 5.0.1 version. I have checked my music settings, and it has Lyrics and Podcast Info "ON". I have manually added the lyrics to several songs, as well as album covers, and neither one are transferring over to the iPod touch when syncing. How do I go about fixing this? I have double checked all the settings I can think of to get this transferred over. I have even double-checked the online manual to make sure where I would even find the lyrics, and how to get to them...yet....nothing.

Error while adding user fields to user table using vb6.0

I am adding a user tables using vb6.0 using DIAPI.
I am able to add the user table successfully.
I am getting the following error when i am adding the fields to the table.
"The metadata object for this object cannot be updated, since it's ref count is bigger than 0."
My code is as follows:
    oUserFieldsMD.TableName = TABLE_NAME_ITEM_LOCN
    oUserFieldsMD.Name = vTableFields(0, lCount)
    oUserFieldsMD.Description = vTableFields(1, lCount)
    oUserFieldsMD.Type = vTableFields(2, lCount)

This error does not come up when i try to add the field to my table using the vb sample provided by SAP.

Hi Satish,
The problem is that you added the table and the objetc that you used to add the table is not freed properly. You need to free the object and then the reference count to that table will be 0 - which will enable you to add the fields
e.g
Dim pUTables As SAPbobsCOM.UserTablesMD
'Do your stuff
Set pUTables = Nothing
Dim pUFields As SAPbobsCOM.UserFieldsMD
'Do your stuff
Set pUFields = Nothing

Itunes 7.1 ipod playlists - problems synching or manually adding

I was hoping 7.1 would solve these two issues, but it hasn't. Does anyone have advice for either of these problems:
1. when the ipod is plugged into the computer, Itunes caps the number of playlists that show up in the 'synch only checked items' playlist. This is infuriating, as I have 2000 playlists.
2. Okay, so you decide to go with manually adding playlists to the ipod icon in the itunes window. Before verision 7, you could actually open that ipod window and drag playlists from your main window into the ipod window. Now, you can only add playlists manually by dragging the playlists up toward the Ipod icon. If you have 2000 playlists like me, it literally takes 30 seconds to drag up to that icon, past all the other playlists. If you decide to try and drag into an opened Ipod window, the music shows up in your ipod, but NOT THE PLAYLIST.
Because of these problems, I don't have any bands on my ipod from the letter P onward. Does anyone have advice about this? Am I doing something wrong?

i have the same problem guys. i make playlists for everything, not a big fan of the other view options available. i have been getting frustrated lately with the lack of playlist drag and drop and having to scroll up through a couple hundred playlist to get to the **** ipod icon. i have actually created folders for parts of the alphabet so i can simply close them in order to get to the ipod icon a lot faster. stupid work around, but alas it does work. i think apple doesn't want people to use playlists like we do.
