If u need to send the data to two different mapping then it can be possible in Xi.
Multi mapping:
A multi-mapping is a mapping program that is not restricted to the transformation of one source message to one target message. You have the following options:
You can use a multi-mapping in a transformation step in a integration process. In this case, the mapping runtime supports 1:n-, n:1, and n:m transformations. You can map any number of source messages to any number of target messages.
You can use a multi-mapping to map a message to multiple different (and generally smaller) messages during logical routing. Only a 1:n transformation is possible in this case.

The samples just provides a rough outline that is generates via the body index frame. There are no parameters to that pipeline as it is the raw data provided by the runtime.
You will need to filter the edges and provide your own blending to the background similar to the v1 backgroundremoval filter. Unfortunately, that sample has not not been ported to v2.

Field mapping and value mapping - Basic

Hi,
Assuming I have a repository containing a main table with 3 fields
1)Product
2)Description
3)Manufacturer (lookup field)
When i map the source file to the destination repository
1) i map fields product and description of the source file and destination repository.
2) map the manufacturer field between the source file and destination repository.
3)Value map the contents of the manufacturer field between the source and destination.
If i have a source file like this.

Since i have made the manufacturer field a lookup field, it can hold the lookup values Hindustan lever and P&G.
what happens to prduct ? i have made only a field mapping. Will the values a & b be stored in the destination repository this way?
Is a value mapping required for product as well to hold both the values?

Hi Vignesh,
You do not have to value map it. Import managerwill automatically assign both the values to product a and b. Basically it is set in the configuration options of the import manager. There is a setting "merge source records based on matching field". If that option is set to yes, both the values will be assigned to product a and b respectively.

Mapping basic getting error

Hi all
I created small mapping as I'm new to OWB, doing loading emp data from source to target on Oracle source/target on same instance using 11g, I'm getting error, Table not present, What is missing.
mapping is simple, I created same table in source/target and mapped to the same fields eno to eno/ dno to dno and wanted the same data in the target after I deploy and run the mapping. Here is the code
(I can not paste the code as length is toomuch), Getting error table not exist

it did generare succesfully and did not get an errors, It may be some issues with the connectors/locations or table privs, I kind of imported same table def to source/target both are in same instance and source has few rows for testing purpose.

VLD-0001 validation completed succesfully.
Steps I did
I created source schma and taget schema a/b on same instance and created table on a/b schemas and imported into source a/target b in OWb and connect eno->eno and dno -> dno and validated mapping and selected control center and click deploy and getting this message after start job. I need some examples atleast to practice some basic ones to see if those are working then I can figure out otherwise.
I'm frustrated with this error, I also given select priv on a to b and what is missing.

MDM Value Mapping - Basic

I have the field mapping set for the Vendor Repository. I have some values in my extract files (source value) and i want them to be automatically mapped to the ( destination value). How do i go about it.

Hi Sathya Kumar,
After doing field mapping the valuesshould also be mapped(lookup values).
1. You can use the Auto map option for mapping automatically.
2. If the values in source are different from destination then add the values in destination manually.
3. I f you are not able to find the add option for adding the values then goto>match records & uncheck the fields in the right pane & then try adding recotrds.

Long running mapping execution...?

I have a mapping that selects from a 40+ milion row table over a database link but with the FILTER Operator I'm using it should only bring back about 20,000 rows.
The mapping has been executing for over 2 hours :-(
In checking the remote system, there are no active sessions from my target server although there is one (1) INACTIVE one. I looked at the previous SQL that was run based on the info in V$SESSION and it was part of my selection. This was verified by looking at the Runtime Audit Browser and seeing the initial set of rows inserted into my table.
In looking at my target server I see several (about 10) processes belonging to my target schema user all with an ACTIVE status.
My mapping is still executing in Deployment Manager.
I am the only one on this system at the moment and the four (4) CPU's are running at about 40% idle so the system is working pretty hard at something.
My question is, what is it doing?????
I am able to run a very similar query to see the counts of rows that should be returned and the queries come back in less than one (1) minute.
The mapping basically selects all rows within a list of document types where a flag column is not a 'P' in this case OR where the flag is a 'P' and the row was updated within the past three (3) days based on a date column that is updated whenever the row is modified.
I have a FILTER operator that splits the above two populations, two (2) standard transformations that do a TRIM and a TO_NUMBER on two (2) columns and then I TRUNCATE/INSERT into table #1 and an UPDATE/INSERT into table #2.
I have a view defined over the two resultant tables to present the entire population to the user.
I initially had the view being INSERTED into in the mapping but flash came to dawn that I didn't need to do that since the view was defined already as the UNION ALL of the two table pieces. I changed the update type to NONE but left the view operator in the mapping for documentation.
The performance of this mapping is totally unacceptable so it's important for me to learn what is going on so I don't do it again and so I can fix this one.
As usual any help is greatly appreciated.

I had taken out the INSERT into the view but left in the SETOP operator that was doing the UNION ALL in to my view object but with an insert mode set to NONE.
It appears the process was spinning.
If anyone has an explanation or a method of safely killing the job that was (and still is) spinning but not apparently doing anything, I'd greatly appreciate hearing about it.
The sessions I looked at in OEM didn't tell me much as I wasn't sure who was actually running the process. Was it my Runtime Repository user, my Runtime User user or my Target Schema owner?
I wasn't sure which one(s) I could safely kill if any of them.

Message and Java Mapping

Hello -
I have a java mapping and a message mapping implemented in one interface.
Java mapping basically adds a header and does nothing else.
Message mapping has all the mapping. Its not complex but straight.
I have the Message mapping first and then the Java mapping in the Interface Mapping.
what happens is i could see the headers written through Java mapping in my output xml file which is good but i cannot view the message mapping output in the file.
Any ideas.

Message mapping with signature changed

Hello,
I have a mapping whose incoming and outgoing message has the same message type, let's say the message type for both in and out message is *MT_Material *. The mapping basically copy all data from in message to out message, however, the out message is only created based on certain condition. Therefore I changed the signature to define the Occurance of the out message as 0..1 while the in message has occurance of 1.
Things work fine, out message only contains data when the condition is fullfilled. However the mapping program expects incoming message like;

Note the xml tags in bold are needed because of the signature change (occurance change). However the outbound interface is based on the message type of MT_Material, thus the sender will NOT send the xml tags in bold, rather following message is sent:

Message in this format is NOT expected by the mapping program with changed signature, thus mapping is does NOT result in the right result.
So what should I do with it? looks like change signature doesn't make any sense because it expects different outbound message format as the one without signature changed.
Basically mapping is PI internal stuff, the sender should not be aware of it, thus sender should just send a message based on the message interface which is based on MT_Material.

You are correct to some extent we should not force the vendor to send a tag to satisfy middleware. But if the tag is required for the business process what can be done other than forcing as a rule to vendor
As PI is a XML based tool where XML is tied to a XSD all messages need to follow XSD. Now in your requirement we need to meet the condition for generating the output. Being a middle ware PI is not meant for holding the messages or used as an end point for some communication. It works on two engines and we need to pass IS without error. Mapping will work at IS and if it failed its an error but we have to satisfy condition.
I have faced similar requirement to yours. I had routed the messages through email to vendor when no output need to be generated as they were incorrect and doesn't follow business rule of the process.
We can check with Xpath or either some the way we discussed above in case condition is not met

Mapping with Match and Merge operater giving ORA-06550 error while deploy..

Created a simplet mapping to source from Customer table to tstcustomer table thru' Match and Merge operator. The mapping validated successful but giving ORA-06550 line x column y error while deploying the mapping.
It is a simple mapping consisting of source Customer table, Match and Merge operator, tstcustomer target table.
Could anyone advise me on how to resolve this?

The test mapping basically consists of :
source table - sh.customers
target table - tstcustomers (similar to sh.customers)
Match-Merge operator.
The mapping validation was successful but when attempt was made to deploy, its giving errors starting with ORA-06550.
I saved the code and executed thru' SQL Plus and the error details are as follows:

For your info, the same mapping without Match-Merge Operator is getting deployed and executed successfully.
But with Match-Merge operator, after setting Match bins, Match rules, Merge rules etc the mapping is validated successfully but errorring out while deployment.
Pls advise on how to resolve this.
I understand that the Match-Merge Operator gives Pl/Sql output from the documentation.

Airport Extreme v7.3.3 Port Mapping Port 80

I have a DVR in my home which is connected to my home network. It has a static IP address. I would like to be able to utilize its mobile app from any mobile/cellular network. The manufacturer of my DVR tells me that I need to open up Port 80 on my router, which is an Airport Extreme running v7.3.3.
I have tried looking up solutions and have found similar results but nothing for the AirPort running v7.x.x. Everything I have found is for version v6.x.x or v5.x.x.
I have tried using the following examples with no success, which may be fault on my part, as well as the document:

Unfortunately, you have the firmware version of the AirPort mixed up with the software version of AirPort Utility, the application used to setup and administer the AirPort router.
Your AirPort was setup using software either by AirPort Utility 6.x...or....an iPad or iPhone running the iOS version of AirPort Utility. Either of those applications will allow you to set up port mapping......IF.....the AirPort is setup as the main router on your network.
Or, in other words....you do not have the AirPort connected to another modem/router on the network.
Now might be a very good time to confirm on the make and model number of the device that you call your "modem", since that will dictate the next move as far as setting up ports.

Search Option in UI Map

The requirement is to have a search Service Agreement option inside UI Map, Basically it is similar to the Search option of Base. I am not able to find base UI Map with Search option part of it. Help will be appreciated.

OWB 10.2 script OMB+ to list mapping operator type

Hi all,
I'm using OWB 10gR2 and I want run an OMB+ script to list all operators (name and type) for all mappings in a project.
With some loops in TCL, I can list mappings with OMBLIST MAPPINGS
For each mapping, I can list operators with OMBRETRIEVE MAPPING 'map name' GET OPERATORS, and get the name.
But now I can't find properties list for operator in OMB+ help. I can list properties values for operators with OMBRETRIEVE MAPPING 'map name' OPERATOR 'op name' GET PROPERTIES (property name, property name, ...).
Somebody nows how to find this list?

The documentation would need some updating for sure... and a command to retrieve all the properties for each level would indeed be nice.
I you go in OWB Client, select a mapping, "Configure"
Then you have access to each properties of the mapping, basically the property name for OMBPLUS will be what you see , UPPERCASE and underscore between the words.

Port mapping in Time Machine

I cannot see where in Time Machine I can set port mapping. There should be a drop down box for set up service. I'm trying to access Echolink.

Time Machine is software to back up your Mac to a hard drive. Won't be anything about port mapping there.
Maybe you meant to ask about a Time Capsule? If yes, Port Mapping is set up using AirPort Utility on your Mac. It is located as follows: Finder > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility.
Hold down the option key on your Mac while you double click on the picture of the Time Capsule
Click the Network tab
IF.....the Time Capsule has been configured to provide DHCP and NAT service for the network, you will see the Port Mapping Setup there.
IF....the Time Capsule has been setup to work with your modem/router in Bridge Mode, the Port Mapping settings are greyed out and cannot be accessed. Port Mapping service must be set up on your modem/router.....not on the Time Capsule.
